Just a few days after macOS 26 Tahoe rolled out, a number of users are reporting that their machines refuse to install it, sending them back to the previous macOS instead. It’s an unusual hiccup for Apple’s carefully tuned ecosystem, and one that has left even the most advanced Mac desktop momentarily stuck behind.

But for some Mac Studio owners—specifically those running the M3 Ultra configuration—the update doesn’t stick. According to several posts on Apple’s Community forums, the installation seems normal at first, only to roll back to macOS Sequoia during the final step.

The issue doesn’t appear to affect other devices. Owners of the M4-powered MacBook Pro, for example, report clean installs with no trouble at all. That points to something specific about the M3 Ultra Mac Studio setup.

One user shared a crash log mentioning a validation failure linked to the Apple Neural Engine, raising the possibility of a bug that stops the installer from recognizing the hardware properly. Apple hasn’t confirmed that detail, but has acknowledged the problem and is looking into it.

The Mac Studio is marketed as Apple’s ultimate desktop for creative and professional use, so a high-profile update glitch is bound to raise eyebrows. For now, owners are stuck on macOS Sequoia while they wait for a patch. Given Apple’s track record, a fix should arrive soon, but the hiccup is a reminder that even the most powerful hardware isn’t immune to software roadblocks.

The iPhone 17 series hasn’t even hit store shelves yet — sales begin tomorrow, September 19 — but that hasn’t stopped early chatter about what comes next. A new leak hints at what the iPhone 18 Pro might look like and what it could pack inside. Surprisingly, the back of the phone may bring an unexpected twist.

The tip comes from well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station. According to him, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will stick closely to the design Apple is rolling out with the 17 Pro series. That means the oversized square camera housing with three separate lenses is here to stay. Apple seems content with the new aesthetic and isn’t rushing to change it.

The interesting twist is what’s rumored for the back panel. Apple is reportedly experimenting with a semi-transparent lower section, giving users a peek at the internals. It wouldn’t be the full see-through look that Nothing has made its signature, but even a subtle transparent element would be a surprising move for Apple, which has typically favored minimal, opaque finishes.

Other details hint at a focus on performance. The phones are said to include a stainless steel vapor chamber for better cooling, which should help during heavy gaming or video recording. Screen sizes are expected to remain the same as the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max — 6.3 and 6.9 inches respectively. Hardware specifics, like the chip and camera upgrades, haven’t leaked yet, but it’s safe to expect the usual annual jump.

It’s still very early, but if Apple really does embrace a transparent design, the iPhone 18 Pro could stand out as one of the company’s more daring flagships in recent memory.

DJI has officially unveiled the Mini 5 Pro, the company’s latest compact drone that brings professional-grade imaging and advanced flight features to a smaller, more portable form factor. The newer model arrives with a larger main sensor along with other upgrades, so here are all the details.

DJI Mini 5 Pro: What does it offer?

The brand’s Mini 5 Pro was just announced as the direct successor to the Mini 4 Pro. One of the biggest upgrades on the newer drone is the larger 1-inch CMOS camera sensor, which has a 50MP resolution. It also offers 4K recording at 60fps with HDR enabled and maxed out at 120fps. This system is housed on a 3 axis gimbal that supports 225° rotation, allowing for true vertical shooting.

DJI arrives with various features like ActiveTrack 360°, FocusTrack, and Spotlight. You also get an omnidirectional obstable recognition thanks to the new LiDAR and Vision sensors. The new compact drone also offers a bunch of handy features like MasterShots (preset camera movement templates), QuickShots (modes useful for creating short films), and Quick Transfer (fast file transfer).

On a single full charge, DJI claims that the Mini 5 Pro can offer up to 36 minutes of flight, with a max range of 20km (FCC). The company just announced the DJI Mini 5 Pro with a 799 Euros price tag. It also arrives with the Fly More Combo, which includes two different remote controls. This consists of the DJI RC-N3 combo that costs 999 Euros and the DJI RC 2 combo that is priced at 1,129 Euros. There is also the DJI Care Refresh, which is basically a protection plan for the Mini 5 Pro that covers accidental damage.

Here’s when Oppo will launch ColorOS 16 and the top upgrades coming with it

Oppo was quick with the Android 16 beta release earlier this year, but the stable release is taking longer than we expected. Many of its competitors, including Samsung, Motorola, and even Sony, have already begun the stable rollout of Android 16, but Oppo users will need to wait a bit longer.

Earlier this month, Oppo confirmed that ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, will launch in October. Now, we have a new leak that reveals the exact date, and it’s a little disappointing. According to the latest leak from Smartprix, ColorOS 16 will launch globally on October 15. That’s still almost a month-long wait.

Notably, Google released the stable version of Android 16 in early June, months ahead of its usual schedule. This offered other Android brands plenty of time to fine-tune their custom skins, but Oppo, among some other brands, has been particularly slow with the development, pushing the Android 16’s release to a similar timeframe around last year’s ColorOS 15, which could have happened a lot earlier.

Anyway, the upcoming Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will be the first phones to run a stable version of ColorOS 16 out of the box. These flagship phones will likely be unveiled on the same day, October 15.

What to expect from ColorOS 16 and Android 16?

One of the biggest upgrades to ColorOS 16 will be a new Liquid Glass UI design, which was first introduced with iOS 26. It gives the design a premium look with sleek, translucent aesthetics featuring glass-like elements and dynamic animations. This new design reportedly gives the entire system a futuristic and vibrant feel, and makes daily interactions more responsive and visually appealing.

ColorOS 16 will also bring performance improvements, a full-screen Always-On Display, and redesigned lock screen widgets. There are also more customization options, a revamped Photos app, and many under-the-hood improvements to offer optimized system responsiveness and an overall smoother software experience.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 spotted on Geekbench with much improved scores

Qualcomm’s next flagship chip has shown up in fresh benchmarks, and the results suggest it may finally be catching up with Apple’s silicon. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, spotted inside a yet-to-be-released Xiaomi device, posted scores that put it within striking distance of Apple’s latest A19 Pro.

The Geekbench 6.4 listing ties the chip to a Xiaomi model with the codename 25113PN0EC, believed to be the standard Xiaomi 17. The test unit carried 16GB of RAM and ran Android 16. In terms of numbers, the device reached 3,705 points on the single-core test and 11,228 in multi-core. That’s a notable step up from earlier runs, where the same chip struggled to push past 3,000 single-core and hovered around 9,100 multi-core.

Against Apple’s chips, the picture is mixed. The A19 Pro still leads single-core at 4,019, but Qualcomm’s new silicon has narrowed the gap considerably. More importantly, its multi-core result actually edges past Apple’s 11,054 score and leaves last year’s A18 Pro (8,546) well behind.

On the Android side, Qualcomm also looks strong. Samsung’s Exynos 2600 recently scored 3,309/11,256, while MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 came in at 3,177/9,701. That means the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 not only tops MediaTek but also goes head-to-head with Samsung’s 2nm effort.

The gains may be tied to Qualcomm’s ability to sustain its 4.61GHz boost clocks longer and refine its software integration ahead of launch. With devices like the Xiaomi 17 series expected to debut the chipset later this year, these numbers hint at what could be one of the most competitive Android flagships yet.

Meta’s new Ray-Ban Display glasses put a screen in your lens and a band on your wrist

Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses turned out to be a surprise hit — a product no one really expected. Today, the company unveiled a new generation of smart glasses, and they might just be the most ambitious pair of AI glasses yet.

The latest model is called the Meta Ray-Ban Display, and as the name suggests, the big addition is a built-in display. The glasses themselves are chunkier than the original Ray-Bans and come paired with a wrist-worn “Neural Band,” but the trade-off seems worth it once you see what they can do.

The display lives on the right lens, a 600 x 600 panel that auto-adjusts its brightness based on ambient light. It can surface Meta AI, turn-by-turn maps, or even WhatsApp replies. The early hands-on impressions I’ve seen from a bunch of creators all praise them for their brightness, which is enough to hold up outdoors.

The more surprising part is how discreet it all feels. From the outside, the lenses remain transparent; there’s no obvious glow or screen bleeding through. The display is visible only to the wearer, a neat trick that sidesteps one of the biggest drawbacks of previous attempts at AR glasses.

Interacting with the display doesn’t mean fumbling with touch controls either. Instead, the Neural Band picks up muscle signals from your hand. You can “write” replies in the air (literally), use gestures to scroll, click, or call up Meta AI with hand gestures. And no, you don’t need your hands in sight of the glasses.

As for the battery life, the Neural Band runs for up to 18 hours and is IPX7 water-resistant, while the glasses themselves last about six hours of mixed use. Together with the folding charging case, you can stretch that to 30 hours. The case is foldable, so you can slip it into a pocket without much trouble.

It’s surprising to see Meta address so many of the usual drawbacks of AI glasses right out of the gate. The display is private, the controls feel sorted, and the lenses are photochromatic, meaning they automatically darken outdoors, for that stylish look.

On top of that, you still get the core Ray-Ban features like a built-in camera, speakers, and a microphone. The next challenge for Meta will be slimming down the design to make the glasses look sleeker in future iterations.

Meta Ray-Ban Display Price and Availability

The Meta Ray-Ban Display will launch on September 30th for $799, which includes both the glasses and the Neural Band. At first, they’ll be sold only in the US at select retail locations, including Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Ray-Ban stores, and eventually some Verizon outlets.

Customers will also be able to try the glasses in demos before buying. Canada, France, the UK, and Italy are expected to follow in early 2026.

Oppo Find X9 key specifications tipped, global version’s display, configuration emerge

Oppo has confirmed that the Find X9 series will launch in October in China. The pre-orders are live and the company is busy teasing the key features of the Find X9 and X9 Pro. In a recent Weibo post, Digital Chat Station mentioned all the key specifications of the standard model.

According to the leak, the Oppo Find X9 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K LIPO equilateral screen with a Tianma OLED panel. It will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

On the camera front, the Find X9 is tipped to feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera, though this contradicts an earlier report that claimed it would have a 50-megapixel front camera. At the back, the phone is said to house a quad-camera system with a 50-megapixel main lens, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and a 2-megapixel multi-spectral sensor. While DCS did not specify the sensors, earlier reports suggested that the device may include a Sony LYT-808 main camera, a Samsung JN5 ultra-wide sensor, and a Samsung JN9 periscope lens.

In terms of battery, the Find X9 has been officially confirmed to pack a 7,025mAh unit. It will support 80W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. The device is also expected to come with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor for security.

Global Oppo Find X9 spotted at Vietnam’s NBD trade database

Reports indicate that the global variant of the Find X9 carries the model number CPH2791. The device has already appeared on certification platforms such as Geekbench, TUV, and Indonesia’s SDPPI. Its listing in Vietnam’s NBD database, spotted by XpertPick, reveals specifications such as a 6.59-inch display, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, suggesting that the 1TB variant may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

While the Find X9 series will launch in China on Oct. 16, the global debut is expected on Oct. 28.

Redmi K90 3C certified, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 phone may launch by October end

Xiaomi will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Xiaomi 17 series of flagship phones later this month in China. Next month (October) will see the arrival of the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro. Ahead of the expected launch, the alleged Redmi K90 has surfaced in the database of China’s 3C certification platform.

Recent reports have revealed that the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro have model numbers 2510DRK44C and 25102RKBEC, respectively. As can be seen above, the alleged K90 has emerged in 3C’s database, revealing it may ship with a 100W charger.

The Redmi K90 and K90 Pro are said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets, respectively. While the Elite edition will debut next week, the 8 Gen 5 may go official in October.

According to reports, the Redmi K90 will feature a 6.59-inch flat RGB OLED LTPS 120Hz display offering a 2K resolution. For security, it will have an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi K90 is expected to pack a 7,100mAh battery with 100W charging support. It is also expected to feature dual stereo speakers, a premium metal mid-frame, and an x-axis linear motor.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Redmi K90 Pro may pack a larger 7,500mAh battery with 100W charging. The inclusion of a periscope telephoto camera could be another differentiating feature compared to the Redmi K90. The rest of the specs could be identical on both phones.

As far as launch is concerned, the Redmi K90 series is expected to debut around a month after the Xiaomi 17 series. The above DCS leak suggests that it may launch by late October.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is expected to announce the Poco F8 series in Q1 2026. The Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra are said to be rebranded versions of the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro, respectively.

iQOO has a few new smartphones lined up for the Chinese market, including the iQOO 15, iQOO Neo 11, and iQOO Neo 11 Pro. Among these, the iQOO 15 is expected to debut in China this October, while the Neo models may debut in November or December. Recent developments have revealed the iQOO 15’s Geekbench listing and possible launch timeline. Additionally, the global version of the device was recently certified by Nemko, shedding light on a key detail about the phone. Reports have revealed that the iQOO 15 has the model number V2505A for the Chinese market, whereas its global edition has the I2501 model number. The V2505A device was recently spotted with a 100W charger at the 3C certification platform. Now the same model has appeared in Geekbench’s database with an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. There’s a possibility that this underclocked chip could be the rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

The chip has two cores working at 4.19GHz, six cores operating at 3.55 GHz, and an Adreno 840 GPU (as per Geekbench’s source code). The clock speeds are suspiciously slower than the regular version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which has two cores operating at 4.61GHz, six cores running at 3.63GHz, along with the same GPU.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the iQOO 15 comes with 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 16. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the device managed to score 2,360 and 7,285 points, respectively. By comparison, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max’s Geekbench listing shows that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 can achieve over 11,000 points in multi-core performance.

Therefore, the considerably lower scores achieved by the iQOO 15 are mainly due to the lower clock speeds of its chipset. Hopefully, newer Geekbench listings, which are expected to surface in the coming days, will reveal the iQOO 15’s chipset details and performance.

The other screenshot reveals that the iQOO 15 global version has surfaced at the Nemko certification. The listing confirms that the device will have wireless charging support, a feature that was unavailable in the previous generations.

The Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max debuting later this month will be the world’s first phones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 onboard. In a recent Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station hinted that the Honor Magic 8 series featuring the said chipset is tentatively scheduled to launch on Oct. 16 in China.

As can be seen above, today’s Weibo post by DCS states most of the other Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 sub-series brands will be unveiled in late October. Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is tentatively scheduled to unveil the iQOO 15 on Oct. 20. At present, there is no information about the launch timeframe of the global edition of the device, but it is expected to happen a few weeks after the China launch. Apple’s next MacBook Pro might finally get a real touchscreen

Apple has resisted adding touchscreens to Macs for over a decade, but that stance may finally be shifting. According to reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is preparing its first OLED MacBook Pro with touch support, and the launch window could be as early as late 2026 or early 2027.

Up until now, the closest thing Apple has ever offered to a touchscreen Mac was the Touch Bar. That slim strip of glass above the keyboard doubled as a customizable control surface.

It first appeared in 2016 and remained until the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2, which Apple quietly discontinued in 2023. It was a clever way to add touch without rethinking macOS, but it was ultimately a half-step that never truly replaced physical keys or delivered the benefits of a full touchscreen.

If all goes according to plan, the company will unveil M5-powered MacBook Pro models in 2025, followed shortly by OLED MacBook Pros with a next-gen M6 chip. That means we may be only two product cycles away from a major redesign of the MacBook lineup.

For Apple, the move makes sense. While iPhones and iPads have normalized tapping, swiping, and pinching, Macs still rely on keyboards and trackpads. That gap can feel awkward, especially for younger users who expect every screen to respond to touch. Adding touch would push the MacBook closer to the iPad, blurring the line between laptop and tablet in a way Apple has carefully avoided until now.

Interestingly, Kuo also hinted that the technology may not remain exclusive to high-end Pros. Reports suggest Apple is working on an entry-level MacBook with an iPhone-style processor.

Motorola ‘Avenger’ smartphone spotted in leak, could signal next Edge release

A new Motorola handset has quietly surfaced under the codename Avenger, adding fuel to speculation about where the company is heading with its Edge series. The device, carrying model number XT2605-3, was recently uncovered in the IMEI database by leaker Paras Guglani. While no specifications or images have appeared just yet, the codename itself hints at something bigger in the pipeline.

Motorola’s Edge lineup has grown quickly over the past year, ranging from the budget-friendly Edge 60 Neo to the more premium Edge 60 Pro. The Neo, for example, runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 chipset, the same processor that powers the Razr 60 clamshell foldable. At the other end of the spectrum, the Pro aims squarely at flagship users with higher-end hardware. The Avenger device looks set to join this mix, though exactly how it fits in is still unclear.

The timing, however, is telling. Motorola’s Edge 70 series is expected to break cover in the first half of 2026, with leaks of its design already circulating earlier this year. Avenger could debut as the direct successor to the Edge 60, or as a spin-off model with its own angle.

For now, the details are thin. No camera specs, battery capacity, or chipset leaks have been tied to the codename. What’s likely is that more information will trickle out through benchmark databases and certification listings in the months ahead.

If history is any guide, Avenger could carry forward Motorola’s strategy of mixing affordability with premium features, giving buyers another option in the crowded mid-to-high-end market. Until then, it remains a name to watch.

Xiaomi 15T spy photo reveals front design and specifications

A fresh leak has given us our first look at the upcoming Xiaomi 15T, and it arrives just days before the phone’s official debut. The image, showing the device still tucked inside its in-box sleeve, lays out some of the headline specs and hints at what Xiaomi has in store for its T-series refresh.

According to the photo, the Xiaomi 15T will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra, the same chip as the Poco X7 Pro (review), and an upgrade over the 8300-Ultra found in last year’s Xiaomi 14T (review). That should make it a strong performer for gaming and everyday use without pushing the price too high. The display also sees a noticeable upgrade, moving to a 6.83-inch panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. That’s bigger than the 6.67-inch screens used on last year’s 14T and the new Poco X7 Pro, giving users more space for streaming, reading, or multitasking.

Battery capacity is getting a bump as well. The 15T is listed with a 5,500mAh cell and support for 67W fast charging, which is 500mAh larger than its predecessor. Camera specs weren’t detailed in the leak, but the box does confirm the return of Leica Summilux lenses. The 14T shipped with a capable triple-camera system (including a 50MP main with OIS, a 50MP telephoto, and a 12MP ultra-wide), so it’s safe to expect similar or improved hardware this time around.

Alongside the regular 15T, Xiaomi is also lining up a 15T Pro. This model is expected to feature the Dimensity 9400+, a chip recently seen in the Redmi K80 Ultra, suggesting it could offer a noticeable performance jump for more demanding tasks.

Xiaomi has confirmed that the 15T series will launch on September 24, and teaser posts are already rolling out on its official X account. With the T-line positioned as a more affordable alternative to Xiaomi’s flagship models, the leaked specs suggest the company is again aiming to balance price and performance while undercutting rivals.

iQOO 15 continues iQOO’s unconventional streak with color-shifting back

A new leak has given us a closer look at the upcoming iQOO 15, and the most striking detail isn’t its specs but the way it looks. A short video posted online shows the phone’s back panel shifting between gray and pink as the angle changes, creating one of the most dramatic finishes we’ve seen on a flagship smartphone in recent years.

The video makes the device appear almost like two separate phones, depending on how light reflects off the surface. It’s a step beyond the pink-gray swirl image that leaked earlier, which didn’t fully capture the motion effect.

The iQOO 15 series is expected to launch later this month, close to Qualcomm’s annual summit (September 23–25). That event should also mark the debut of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and iQOO is widely expected to be among the first brands to ship it inside a retail device.

Alongside the design, the phone is rumored to carry serious hardware: a 6.85″ flat QHD OLED panel from Samsung with up to 6,000 nits of brightness, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 7,000 mAh battery (up from 6,000 mAh on iQOO 13) with 100W charging. The camera setup is said to include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope zoom lens with improved range, and a 50MP ultra-wide.

With a bold design and top-tier specs, the iQOO 15 looks set to make a strong case against rivals when it officially launches later this month.

THOMSON has introduced its new 50-inch and 55-inch JioTele OS QLED Smart TVs in India ahead of the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale. The company was the first to launch TVs with JioTele OS, which has seen strong demand from buyers.

The 2025 JioTele OS QLED Smart TVs come with a bezel-less design and alloy stands. Both models feature a 4K QLED panel with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, 1.1 billion colors, HDR10+, and up to 450 nits brightness. A Sports mode is included for live sports viewing.

For audio, the TVs are equipped with 48W speakers and support Dolby Digital Plus. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, HDMI ports, USB ports, and screen mirroring. A voice-enabled remote is bundled, supporting HelloJio Assistant, which works in more than 10 Indian languages.

The JioTele OS platform offers recommendations from over 10 OTT apps, access to 400+ live TV channels, JioGames, and JioStore. Both models run on an Amlogic chipset with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage.

The 50-inch model (50TJQ002) is priced at Rs. 19,999, while the 55-inch model (55TJQ0032) costs Rs. 25,999. Both come with a 1-year warranty.

Launch offers include a free 3-month Jio Hotstar subscription and a 1-month JioGames subscription. Customers using Axis Bank or ICICI Bank cards can also get a minimum 10 percent instant discount. The THOMSON JioTele OS QLED Smart TVs will be available on Flipkart starting September 23, 2025.

Xiaomi launches a 10kg washing machine with AI dosing, steam sterilization & HyperOS

Xiaomi has officially launched the Mijia Dual-Zone Washing Machine, a 10kg front-load model that introduces a new twin-drum design. The product is now available for pre-sale in China on JD.com, with a launch price of 3,999 yuan ($562).

The Mijia Dual-Zone Washing Machine features a twin-drum design that separates delicate items from everyday laundry. It includes a 10 kg main drum and a 0.25 kg secondary drum specifically for underwear and fine fabrics. Despite the dual-drum setup, the washer maintains a standard 598 mm × 600 mm × 850 mm footprint, making it compatible with most home cabinetry.

Xiaomi has equipped the washer with twin direct-drive inverter motors and a three-frequency control system. The main drum reaches up to 1200 rpm, while the secondary drum spins at 1000 rpm.

The machine uses a frequency-conversion water pump and an advanced suspension structure to reduce vibration and minimize noise, especially during nighttime operation. The motors come with a 10-year warranty, and the full appliance carries a 3-year warranty.

The washer supports 95°C high-temperature washing, steam sterilization, and an underwear-specific hygiene mode. Xiaomi claims this mode can remove 99.99% of bacteria, 100% of mites, and over 99% of allergens.

The design includes separate water inlets and drainage systems for each drum to prevent cross-contamination. It also features an intelligent dehydration algorithm that increases spin efficiency by 10% and lowers residual moisture by 23%.

Xiaomi has integrated a smart triple dispensing system that automatically adjusts detergent, softener, and lingerie-specific liquid based on load and environment. It supports fast cleaning cycles like a 12-minute quick wash. The washer features a metallic Star Satin Silver body with a mirror-glass front and a unified full-touch control panel for both drums.

The machine supports Xiaomi HyperOS Connect and works with the Mi Home app and XiaoAi voice assistant. Talking about additional features, it includes pet-hair removal, internal drum lighting, antibacterial door gaskets, 24-hour wash scheduling, and auto-tumble to keep clothes fresh if left inside.

Honor confirms Magic8 series for Q4 2025, hints at AI-first features

Honor has confirmed that its next flagship lineup, the Magic8 series, will launch in the final quarter of 2025. The company is already setting expectations around artificial intelligence, describing the phones as “AI-native” devices designed to bring smarter features directly into everyday use.

The announcement came from Honor CMO Guo Rui, who posted on social media that the Magic8 would be the “most exciting flagship of Q4.” While a specific launch date wasn’t mentioned, industry watchers expect a mid-October reveal, slightly earlier than last year’s Magic7 series.

As with previous generations, Honor is expected to stagger its releases. The standard Magic8 and Magic8 Pro could arrive first, with the Magic8 Ultra and a possible Magic8 Mini following later — likely in early 2026. This would mirror the rollout strategy used for the Magic7 family, where special editions appeared months after the first wave.

Software will be a major talking point. CEO James Li has highlighted MagicOS 10, which is said to include a large language model designed to automate tasks in the background. Some reports suggest a dedicated hardware button for quick access to these AI features, though that has yet to be confirmed.

Leaked details also hint at camera upgrades. A new “NoxGod” technology could power a 200-megapixel telephoto sensor, while the addition of a direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) module may improve both photography and augmented reality applications. Combined with Honor’s focus on thin and lightweight designs, the Magic8 could stand out in a crowded flagship field.
