Most details about the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 5G have been from official sources but that isn’t to say the leaks have stopped too. Photos showing an unboxing of the pink variant as well as a hands-on video of the purple variant have leaked just a few days to the release of the phone.
The unboxing photos show the Redmi K30 will ship in a white box with the phone’s name written in color-shifting lettering. There is also Xiaomi’s Mi logo in the same lettering at the top right corner. The Underside of the box has an image of the Redmi mascot and the words “Designed By Redmi”.
The color variant in the box is pink and it is the 6GB RAM + 128GB version. TENAA already revealed there will be 6GB RAM + 64GB, 8GB RAM +128GB, and 12GB RAM + 256GB versions too.

The phone itself is not turned on but the punch-hole display and dual front-facing cameras are visible. The photo of the back of the phone also gives us a very clear look at the quad cameras. The plastic wrapping confirms the Redmi K30 has support for storage expansion but you will have to sacrifice one Nano SIM slot for it. And yes, that back is covered in frosted glass.
The hands-on video is of the purple variant and this unit is turned on. The video shows the phone is running MIUI 11, and according to the TENAA listing, it is based on Android 10.
The Redmi K30 4G will have a 6.67-inch FHD+ display and be powered by a Snapdragon 730G processor. It will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 4500mAh battery with support for fast charging.
Are you looking for a new device to buy or gift for Christmas and you want to save some money while still getting an amazing smartphone? You are in the right place. A lot of smartphones were launched in the latest period, but in this article, we collected the best value for money smartphones available in the market. The ranking may not include some very good devices just because it is referred to the month of December 2019, so we decided to include only devices released recently. If you need more alternatives, you can check our previous article about the best value for money smartphones of the previous month.
Best value for money smartphones of the month
Realme X2 Pro
Realme X2 Pro is the king of flagship killers. It simply provides flagship hardware and a top-end display panel at a midrange price. Despite its price starts from just €399 globally, it is fueled by the Snapdragon 855+ that is currently the most powerful Qualcomm’s chipset in the market. And it is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal UFS 3.0 storage. Realme X2 Pro also boasts a display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, the support to HDR10+ and full DCI P3 coverage for amazing image quality. Among its other advanced features, there are 50W fast charging, and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers.
The Huawei Nova 6 series debuted in China a few days ago and it includes three devices: Nova 6, Nova 6 5G and Nova 6SE. The vanilla Nova 6 is the most interesting when it comes to value for money since it has flagship-class specifications but it costs slightly more than €400 (CNY 3199) in China. It mounts the new Kirin 990 chipset and it is even equipped with an amazing camera department including a 40 MP main sensor and 3x optical zoom. Its big 4100 mAh battery supports 40W fast charging and there is even a top-end dual front camera (one of the best front setups) housed in a punch hole.
Honor V30 is one of the most affordable 5G phones out there. It does not sport an integrated 5G modem (it has a Balong 5000 modem outside the chipset), but in China, it starts from just €430, which is astonishing for a 5G-enabled device. For the rest, the Honor V30 is not so different from the Huawei Nova 6. It has the same top-class front camera department including an ultrawide sensor, as well as a big 4200 mAh battery. And its rear cameras are simply awesome with the 40 MP main sensor, OIS, and 3x optical zoom.
Just like the Realme X2 Pro, even Oppo Reno Ace is an amazing flagship killer. But while Realme X2 Pro does not come with a top-end camera, this device even offers amazing rear cameras. It sports a quad rear camera including a Sony 48 MP sensor with OIS instead of the midrange-class Samsung 64 MP sensor found on the Realme X2 Pro which does not carry OIS. However, the price of this Oppo Reno Ace is higher (but it still remains one of the best value for money smartphones): you need almost €550/$550 to grab the base variant with 8/128 GB in China. Oppo Reno Ace boasts a Snapdragon 855+ chipset, UFS 3.0 storage and even a 90 Hz AMOLED display supporting HDR.
Samsung Galaxy M30s is your best choice in the midrange segment if you need a value for money smartphone with infinite battery life. With its huge 6000 mAh battery, it is able to last up to three days even with intensive use. It even features a pretty nice Exynos 9611 processor paired with at least 4 GB of RAM and UFS 2.1 internal storage. Samsung Galaxy M30s is equipped with a Super AMOLED display and a triple rear camera including an ultrawide sensor.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is actually considered the best camera phone alongside Huawei Mate 30 Pro, but unlike the Mate 30 Pro, it has a very affordable price. You can currently get it for about €450, even though it offers a penta-camera including a 108 MP main sensor rated as one of the best sensors for mobile devices by a lot of experts. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10, also known in China as Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro, even sports a huge 5260 mAh battery that is very rare for a high-end phone. The only weak point is its hardware department since it has a Snapdragon 730G chipset instead of a Snapdragon 855+, so it is not a flagship. But that is what makes its price so interesting.
Redmi Note 8 Pro is known as the affordable gaming phone because it packs the most performing processor you can currently find for less than €250 globally. We are talking about the Helio G90T which offers amazing CPU and GPU performance (it competes with the Snapdragon 730G). Redmi Note 8 Pro also packs a big 4500 mAh battery making it one of the longest-lasting devices on a single charge. On the rear side, it sports a 64 MP quad-camera. Unfortunately, its display is an IPS panel, but it has HDR and high brightness.
Are you looking for the highest performance at an affordable price but you do not like Oppo’s flagship smartphones mentioned above? Then if you are from China you have an amazing alternative for just $370/€330 (CNY 2598): the Racing Edition of the Vivo iQOO Neo 855. It is one of the most affordable smartphones to be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ SoC and it is especially meant for gamers. In all of its configurations expect the base version it even packs UFS 3.0 storage. Last but not least, it has a big 4500 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
The OPPO Reno3 Pro is another anticipated smartphone scheduled to launch in China later this month. It will be the second smartphone powered by the new Snapdragon 765G processor after the Redmi K30 5G.
OPPO’s VP, Shen Yiren, has been dropping bits of details of the upcoming phone. We already know the phone will have a curved display with a punch hole on the right for a single camera. We also know it will have a 4025mAh battery capacity, have a thickness of 7.7 millimeters, and weight less than 180 grams. However, there are still a number of details we do not know. Thankfully, a new leak has revealed most of the key specs.
The source of the leak is Digital Chat Station and he adds a caveat that the specs are for the prototype and may be different for the final product.
According to him, the Reno3 Pro will have a 6.5-inch curved FHD+ OLED display. The screen has a hole for the selfie camera and a 90Hz refresh rate. Since it has an OLED display, we expect it to have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
There is an SM7250 (Snapdragon 765G) processor under the hood and it is paired with 12GB of RAM. There is no mention of the storage but we don’t expect less than 256GB with that amount of RAM. We also believe OPPO will announce an 8GB RAM version with 128GB of storage.
The Reno3 Pro will have quad rear cameras and the source says it is a 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP camera (telephoto lens), a 13MP camera (ultrawide lens) and a 2MP sensor. There is optical image stabilization but we can’t say if it is for the telephoto camera or main sensor or both. Lastly, the Reno3 Pro will support 30W fast charge which should be OPPO’s VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge fast charging technology.
OPPO’s phone will go head to head with the Redmi K30 5G as mid-range 5G phones. Based on the leaked specs, both phones have their strengths and weaknesses. For example, the Reno3 Pro will have an OLED display compared to the Redmi K30 5G’s LCD display albeit with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi K30 5G, on the other hand, boasts a bigger battery capacity (4500mAh) and a fast charge technology that can refill the phone in just 1 hour.
Other factors will definitely influence purchase such as price, OS, and camera performance. Nevertheless, both phones are impressive and we look forward to their arrival.
Google Pixel devices are known for their well-optimized software. The search giant always enriches the Pixel devices with its vast abundance of specific tweaks, features, and other optimizations. Using Nova Launcher
Nova Launcher also can show the Google Discover feed in dark mode. It uses Nova Google Companion to show Discover Feed and toggle its appearance based on the global theme. It is the easiest and useful extension of the Nova Launcher. The interested users can easily install the extension after downloading it from here. Now, enable it by heading to the Nova Settings>Integerations> “Tap” Google Discover to enable it>Install Nova Google Companion 1.1.’
This method is perfect for the native Nova Launcher Users. They can easily attain the Google Discover functionality by merely installing a small extension via an apk. It will be easy for the Nova Launcher Prime users can even assign different gestures to initialize the Google search widget.

The OnePlus X is referred to as a mid-range device but it technically isn’t. While it launched a year after the OnePlus One, it had the same Snapdragon 801 flagship processor. It has been four years now since the launch of the OnePlus X and OnePlus is yet to release a similarly priced phone. A new leak reveals we may be getting an affordable OnePlus phone which is reported to be called the OnePlus 8 Lite.
The leak is actually 3D renders of the upcoming device courtesy of OnLeaks in partnership with 91Mobiles. The images show the OnePlus 8 Lite will look like a lot of Samsung’s own upcoming phones including the Galaxy S11.
The OnePlus 8 Lite is shown to have a punch hole right in the middle just like that of the Galaxy Note 10 series. Its siblings, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will have their own punch hole in the top left and top right corners respectively.
The Lite version of the next OnePlus series not only looks different from its siblings with respect to its display. It also has a different camera design on the back. This is where OnePlus is again adopting a similar design to the upcoming Galaxy S11.
[envira-gallery id=”293816″]
The camera housing is a rectangular bump that is positioned on the left side. It is home to two cameras and an LED flash. There is no info on the camera configuration but we won’t be surprised if the secondary camera is a depth sensor instead of a telephoto or ultrawide angle camera. There is also a laser focus system flanking the cameras on the right.
The OnePlus 8 Lite has a curved back that is covered in glass. There is no fingerprint scanner on the rear neither is there one on the side. This means the device probably has an AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The phone has a USB Type-C port but no audio jack. The alert slider is on the right along with the power button while the volume keys are on the left. There are two openings for the speaker at the bottom and on the opposite side is the SIM tray.
The phone’s dimensions are 159.2 x 74 x 8.6 millimeters, making it taller than the OnePlus 7.
While the OnePlus 8 Lite is expected to be a mid-range device, we have a feeling it may actually have a flagship processor – this year’s own. We may also see the phone launch with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 765 processor.
We also do not know if it will launch alongside its siblings or get an earlier or later release date. Nevertheless, we are excited to see what OnePlus has to offer with this new device.
The Apple Watch series has been credited severally for saving lives in several ways. The latest is a report of the Emergency SOS feature coming handy for two kayakers in Puerto Rico who had gone out without wearing lifejackets and their kayaks sank.
The two men were said to be tourists who had gone kayaking off Ocean Park Beach in San Juan, Puerto. Due to hazardous water conditions and high-surf advisories, however, water overtook their kayaks. This left the two men stranded in the rough water conditions.
According to the US Coast Guard, the men were forced to swim in the water for several hours after the kayaks sank. Thankfully, one of the men was wearing an Apple Watch, which he was able to use to call emergency services with the Emergency SOS feature. With that, the Coast Guard and local police were able to locate them using a helicopter.
Apple Watch
The Apple Watch Emergency SOS feature makes it easy for users to quickly call emergency services using the side button. The latest Watch Series 5 makes it even better by allowing users to call local emergency services when you’re in another country or region.
February and September are undoubtedly the most interesting months for smartphones-addicted since the most important brands usually launch their most important flagships. But this does not mean that nothing happens during other months. This month, for example, we will see a lot of new handsets, mainly devices focused on the quality-price ratio, from a lot of mainstream brands. In this article, we collected all the most important upcoming smartphones of December 2019 in order to give you a complete view of the most important announcements scheduled for this month.
Top upcoming smartphone launching in December 2019
Realme X50 series
Oppo’s sub-brand is set to launch its first 5G smartphones in December 2019. However, the company still did not reveal the exact day in which they will be announced. Their names will be Realme X50 and X50 Youth Edition, both are said to boast 5G connectivity. According to rumors, on at least one of these phones there will be a Snapdragon 765 or 765G chipset with an integrated 5G modem. Expect a very interesting price tag just like every Realme device.
Xiaomi will officially unveil the Redmi K30 series on December 10, as confirmed through an official teaser. It will be composed of Redmi K30 and K30 5G and the 5G variant will be fueled by the new Snapdragon 765G coming with an integrated 5G modem. Several leaks already showed the full design of the handsets. And according to leaks, the phone will sport a quad rear camera including a Sony IMX686 sensor with a 64 MP resolution, as well as an 8 MP sensor, a 5 MP sensor and a 2 MP sensor. The battery will have a 4500 mAh capacity with the support to 30W Fast Flash Charge technology, while the display will be a 6.67-inch panel with a 2nd-generation punch hole that has a 4.38 mm diameter. The punch hole will include two front cameras with a 32 MP main snapper.
The Oppo Reno 3 line-up will be announced in December and, once again, it should not include a flagship. There will be two variants: Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro. As mentioned, the latter will not be a flagship, but it will still support 5G connectivity. Indeed, it is said to pack a Snapdragon 765 or 765G processor with an integrated 5G modem. The company confirmed that it will come with a 4025 mAh battery in a chassis that is just 7.7 mm thin. And there will be a punch-hole display instead of a shark fin pop-up camera. The phone is rumored to come with a quad camera including a 60 MP main lens. An alleged Oppo Reno 3 was certified by TENAA a few days ago.
On December 12, Samsung will take the wraps off the new Samsung Galaxy A 2020 line-up. We expect to see at least two devices on December 12: Galaxy A51 and A71. But a few days ago we learned that Samsung is even developing the Galaxy A11, A31 and A41. On the new Galaxy A 2020 series there will be a feature present only on Samsung flagships until now: a punch-hole display with a front camera placed at the center, just like the Galaxy Note 10 series. On the rear side of the Galaxy A51 and A71, there will probably be an L-shaped camera module housing four sensors.
Vivo confirmed that its next upper-midrange series Vivo X30 will officially debut on December 16 in China. The Vivo X30 series will include two models: Vivo X30 and X30 Pro, with support for SA and NSA 5G modes. The phones will be the first to be powered by the new Samsung Exynos 980 chipset: the world’s first SoC with an integrated 5G modem. The smartphone comes with a quad camera setup on the back at the top-left corner, including a periscope lens and the support for 60x super zoom. There will also be a punch-hole display with a cut-out at the top right corner, and we expect the support to 33W fast charging.
The day after the launch of the Vivo X30 series, Realme will launch a new variant of its Realme XT mid-ranger in India. Its name is Realme XT 730G: it is essentially a Realme XT with a Snapdragon 730G chipset, a better front camera, and a faster charging technology. In case you still did not understand, it is a rebranded version of the device known as the Realme X2 in the global market. Alongside Realme XT 730G, Realme will also launch a pair of true wireless earbuds.
Yesterday Vivo announced the iQOO Neo 855 Racing Edition and it will be officially available in the Chinese market starting from December 12. It is a variant of the iQOO Neo 855 with a stronger processor: the Snapdragon 855+, and 33W fast charging. It comes in two memory configurations: one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage and a 12/128 GB version. The prices for the Chinese market roughly translate into $368 and $396, respectively.
Huawei already announced the Nova 6 and Honor V30 series days ago, so we are just mentioning it because they are the latest Huawei’s flagship line-ups and they are hitting China this month. Check all of their specifications at the links below.
Last month, in November, OnePlus started rolling out the latest Android 10 update for its OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphones. But soon after that, the company had to start the update rollout because of several issues.
The company had then announced that the issued will be fixed and the company will soon begin the rollout of the new stable update. Well, it seems that the company is now all set to do so as it has fixed the issues in just one month.
OnePlus 6T
So, OnePlus has now once again started rolling out the latest Android 10 OS-based OxygenOS 10.1.0 update for the OP6 and OP6T smartphones. This update doesn’t bring any new features compared to the OxygenOS 10.0 but fixes a number of issues that were present with the original update.
The security patch version you get with this new update is of October and the company has also fixed the fingerprint recognition issue. Further, the animation lag for fingerprint unlock has also been fixed as well as the automatic reboot issue that some users experienced.
The company has also improved the camera performance on the devices along with fixing several known issues. Further, the company has also mentioned in the changelog that it has fixed the 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity issue.
As with most updates, this one too will be rolled out in phases. While a small number of users will get the update in the initial days, and if no issues are reported, the company will make it available for a larger set of users and should be available for everyone in a week.
If you cannot wait for the update to arrive, you can find full zip download links for OxygenOS 10.0.1. To install the update manually, you’ll need to download ZIP file to the root folder, and then update via the Settings of the device. However, we’d recommend you to wait for the OTA update.
Huawei yesterday launched its latest range of flagship/premium midrange smartphones – the Nova 6 5G, Nova 6 4G and Nova 6 SE. The company also launched a new smart weighing scale. One other spectacular product that was launched yesterday is the Huawei Band 4 Pro. The Band 4 Pro has several improvements over the Huawei Band 4 that was launched in October.
The Band 4 Pro is equipped with a 0.95-inch AMOLED high-definition colour screen and several amazing watch-faces. You can also install third-party watch faces on the smart band. It features a brushed metal frame as well as a skin-friendly silicone strap. The rubber strap is comfortable to wear and lightweight.
In terms of functionality, the Huawei Band 4 Pro has 11 built-in sports modes, which can record 127 different sports data. There is also an independent built-in GPS tracker on board. The Band 4 Pro houses a SpO2 meter which monitors the oxygen saturation rate of the blood. There is also a heart rate monitor as well as sleep tracker.
In addition, Huawei Band 4 Pro has a standalone NFC onboard and it supports payment of access cards and 252 city transportation cards and also supports Alipay scan code payment. Although the Band 4 design is similar, the Band 4 Pro has a different charging design as there is a charging dock with three connectors at the back cover.
As for the price, the Band 4 Pro is priced at 399 yuan ($56) and is available in Sakura Pink, Graphite Black, and Amber Sunrise colours. The pre-sale started on December 5, while the smart band will officially go on sale on December 12.
It’s already confirmed that the Redmi K30 smartphone is getting launched in China on 10th December. Ahead of the launch, the company has teased several features of the upcoming smartphone and has also revealed its renders.
Now, two smartphone models with models numbers “M1912G7BC” and “M1912G7BE”, which are the Redmi K30’s 4G variants, have appeared on TENAA and the listing also shows the phone’s images.
The TENAA listing of the Redmi K30 4G smartphone reveals that it measures 165.3 × 76.6 × 8.81 mm and weighs at around 208 grams. It further reveals some more details about the phone, such as the phone’s display which will measure 6.67 inches offering Full HD+ screen resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels.
The smartphone will come in three RAM variants — 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB and will have 64G, 128GB, and 256GB of internal storage respectively. The device will come powered by a 4,400mAh battery and will also have some sort of fast charging support.
As for the camera, the device will come with a 64 MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor in the quad-camera setup on the back. On the front side, the smartphone will feature a 20-megapixel snapper housed inside the punch-hole notch.
Apart from the lack of 5G connectivity, the 4G variant of the Redmi K30 is expected to come with the same set of specifications as the 5G model. The company will also be launching the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone but that is expected to happen in a couple of months, i.e. in 2020.
The smartphone’s TENAA listing reveals that the device will be made available in six color options — Blue, Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and White. However, we don’t expect the company to launch all color options on 10th December. Instead, it could launch the phone in a couple of variants and more options will follow in the coming weeks.
Qualcomm announced the next-gen Snapdragon 865 chipset a few days back alongside the Snapdragon 765/765G premium midrange chipsets. The new chipsets are not expected to feature on any smartphone until next year. Even at that, they are the trending topic when it comes to smartphone processors but Huawei may soon alter that with its next-gen Systems-on-Chip (SoC).
A leak has emerged on Twitter which tips that the next-generation Kirin flagship SoC will go by the name Kirin 1020. Huawei is also rumoured as planning to launch a Kirin 820 processor to replace the current crop of mid-range chipsets (Kirin 810).
The tipster didn’t disclose any clue as to the specifications of the chipsets and that information isn’t in the public domain just yet. However, it is safe to speculate that the chipset will be integrated with a 5G modem. The tipster did disclose that the flagship Kirin 1020 will be produced on a 5nm process and integrate ARM Cortex-A77 CPU architecture. It will bring nearly 50% increase in performance over the Kirin 990. The chipset won’t have a 4G version like the present Kirin 990.
Kirin1020 v Kirin990 5G Nearly 50% performance increase 5 nm v 7nm EVU ARM A77 v A76 5G only.
Kirin 820 replace current 810 and include build in 5G modem first device will be Nova 7 or 10X#Huawei
The tipster also revealed that Huawei will continue with this year’s product update by launching the flagship Kirin 1020 first onboard the Mate 40 series in the second half of 2020. Next year’s P40 series will feature the Kirin 990 5G chipset. As fr the Kirin 820, it will also have an integrated 5G modem and may feature on the Nova 7 or Honor 10X.
Information about the Blackview BV9900 was leaked in early November and until this week no more news were available. That was until 3 days ago that the Chinese manufacturer would launch the new flagship on December 6th. So, here we are today and the BV9900 is live bringing amazing photography to rugged phones.
The phone’s killer feature is its quad camera setup on the back that sports a Sony® 48MP main sensor. But that’s not what makes it a flagship. On the inside lies the MediaTek Helio P90 AI SoC bundled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of fast UFS 2.1 storage. In addition, it breaks the trend of huge displays and comes with a compact 5.84’’ FHD+ screen with waterdrop notch and Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Also, it supports global network bands and can function in temperatures as low as -30℃.

Vivo X30 Pro: 1st image which is a relatively wide-angle shot
Vivo’s upcoming X30 Pro smartphone will arrive with a periscopic super-telephoto lens which will be capable of 60x magnification. Unlike the rest of the camera lens module which is located on the top left corner on the rear, it’s telephoto lens is separated from the rest of the three cameras (being at the side) and does not have a bump.
Previously, Vivo shared the impressive zoom capabilities of the X30 Pro in the form of a promotional video. Furthermore, the device is equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 980 which is integrated with a 5G modem and is aimed at mid-range smartphones.
3rd image showcases impressive zoom capabilities
Reportedly, one Weibo user also took to the Chinese social networking site to upload images taken from the Vivo X30 Pro’s telephoto lens. According to the images shared, we can observe the smartphone’s magnifying prowess. The first image had been taken from the primary camera that captured a road and a few buildings. Then, the user also uploaded zoomed-in images of the same scene but focused on the building at the far end.
4th image captures finer details and the insides of the building
It was a building with the Deutsche Bank logo which was initially unclear but soon became legible. Notably, once at the maximum zoom, finer details regarding the insides of the buildings also become visible. Since it was taken from an unknown source the credibility of the images is doubtful but still showcase incredible results.
Realme has started sending out invites to India media confirming that the Realme XT 730G model and its new TWS earbuds will launch on December 17.
source: NDTV Gadgets
TWS earbuds are the big craze among smartphone makers these days. Earlier today, Realme executives, including India CEO Madhav Sheth, gave us a glimpse of the yellow color model of the Realme earbuds. Other company executives like Francis Wang and Sree Hari have further confirmed that the earbuds will come in at least two more color options including white and black.
The media invite shows that the upcoming Realme earbuds will look like the Apple AirPods with a long-stem design. The invite also reveals that the charging case will be compact with a green charging light. It also confirms that the much-awaited Realme XT 730G variant is launching at the same event.
Given how Realme XT 730G is expected to be a rebranded Realme X2 from China, we can expect the phone to feature a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture primary shooter with an 8-megapixel superwide lens with 119-degree field-of-view and f/2.25 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with 4cm focal length and a 2-megapixel portrait lens for adding depth effects to images. The battery on the XT 730G should be the same as the 4000mAh capacity one on the X2.
Just earlier today, Vivo confirmed that their upcoming Vivo X30 will go official in China on 16th December. Then we got Geekbench listings for the device appearing online early. Now the company itself is sharing features online.
A Vivo product manager went to Weibo teasing a brand new feature of the upcoming Vivo X30. The poster apparently couldn’t help but spoil one of the features before launch. The video posted shows us what can essentially be boiled down to as advanced screencasting between devices.
All content on the first device is being broadcasted to the second device, but there’s more. Unlike with normal screen casting, there’s the ability to hand over complete control of the interface to the other device. This makes things like video watching and gaming easier.
The Vivo X30 is one of the more exciting phones coming from Vivo’s lineup. This will not only be the Chinese device maker’s first dual-mode 5G smartphone but also the first 5G smartphone in the company’s X-lineup of devices, as well as the first Vivo device running on an Exynos chipset. We’re looking forward to how it turns out.
Earlier today (6th December 2019), Redmi‘s official Weibo account revealed certain cropped sample shots taken from the Redmi K30‘s 64MP primary camera. It has been captured by Sony’s new IMX686 sensor, which is also the first 64MP sensor from the company. Now, the company has again posted sample shots but this time for the full-sized macro shots from its dedicated macro lens.
Redmi K30 Macro Samples
The Xiaomi subsidiary went on the Chinese microblogging website to share the initial sample shots to showcase its photographic capabilities with the new Sony sensor. And later in the day, have also released full-sized macro shots from one of Redmi K30’s other sensors in its quad-camera setup.
The Redmi K30 series of smartphones are capable of capturing macro shots up to 2 centimeters. Notably, the 2 centimeters focusing distance is nearly double the focusing distance of most smartphones’ macro lenses that are currently available in the market. The images shared carried a lot of details in the macro shots and paired with the Redmi’s filters could offer some serious fun with experimentation.
Redmi’s K30 series is the successor of the Redmi K20 series and brings about improvements in various areas, with photography definitely being one of them. The successor is also equipped with Sony’s latest IMX686 64MP sensor and a 20 MP dual selfie camera on the front. The device is expected to be officially unveiled on 10th December 2019 and till then we can expect the company to provide more teasers as well.

Samsung is likely to make an aggressive push in 2020 with an overhaul of its flagship camera setup. The upcoming Galaxy S11, as well as the Galaxy Fold 2020 clamshell model, is said to feature a large 108MP camera sensor at the back along with a 5x optical zoom setup.
Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones have so far featured decent cameras but they have been far from revolutionary. As compared to Huawei’s periscope cameras or even OPPO’s 10X hybrid zoom tech, this year’s Galaxy smartphones have stuck to a traditional camera setup. But according to a new Bloomberg report, Samsung is going to make some big changes in its flagship camera setup next year.
The report states that the Galaxy S11 and the Galaxy Fold 2020 will feature a large 108MP camera sensor, probably the ISOCELL BRIGHT HMX Samsung sensor at the back. The primary sensor will be further supported by a 5x optical zoom setup on both these devices. In addition to these two sensors, the Galaxy S11 is expected to get two more sensors, including an ultrawide-angle lens and a time-of-flight sensor for depth detection. Both the devices are expected to be launched in February 2020.
2020 will be an important year for Samsung to extend its lead in the smartphone industry. Apple’s upcoming iPhones are expected to feature some revolutionary changes and Samsung’s aggressive camera setup overhaul is likely in response to the changes in the new iPhone cameras.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro is one of the best smartphones in the market today but does not come with Google apps
Next year would also be a good time to leave Huawei behind in the international smartphone market. The Chinese smartphone maker has been chasing Samsung for the past couple of years, waiting to grab the top spot. But without access to Google apps, Huawei’s incredible international growth will definitely be stunted in the coming months. This will likely create a vacuum in the international markets, particularly Europe, and Samsung can conveniently take advantage of this situation with the new Galaxy models in the coming quarters.
