The Nubia Z20 dual display flagship phone was made official in August. At that time, the smartphone was made available for buying in Diamond Black and Koi Red colors even though the company had also confirmed Star Blue color edition at launch. The Chinese firm has confirmed that it will start selling the Nubia Z20 Star Blue model from Oct. 5. Moreover, the smartphone is now available in China with a discount of 300 Yuan (~$42).

The smartphone comes in three models such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. The newly introduced Star Blue color variant is only available for 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model. It carries a reduced pricing of 3,399 Yuan (~$476). Nubia Z20 Specification and Features

The Nubia Z20 has a 6.42-inch AMOLED full HD+ display with notch-less design. The rear side of the phone has a 5.1-inch AMOLED display with HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 855+ fuels the smartphone. The rear side of the phone has a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 16-megapixel triple camera setup on the rear. When it comes to the development of 5G network and compatible networking equipment, Chinese tech titan, Huawei comes out on top. While most countries in the world are still working to embrace 5G, which is deemed the next generation of mobile telecommunication, Huawei has already begun research on 6G claims company CEO, Ren Zhengfei.

According to the official translation of his Mandarin comments, Huawei has been parallelly working on both 5G and 6G. However, the “development of 6G” is still in its “early phase” and there is still “a long way to go” before it is commercially available. While providing a time period, he stated that the technology is about 10 odd years out from now.

As previously mentioned, 5G is currently regarded as the next generation of telecommunication. For readers who are unaware, the data speeds that it promises will serve as the underpinning technology for driverless cars and critical control of remote devices like heavy machinery. As of now, the adoption of 5G has been limited to a handful of countries like the UK and South Korea, whilst China is expected to implement it soon.

The senior Huawei official stated that before 6G becomes a reality, the industry needs to set the standards which could take years to form. Besides, it is still unclear what will be the uses and applications of this technology.

With that being said, Huawei is currently concentrating its resources and efforts in 5G and it might take a long time before we hear about 6G from the company again. Nonetheless, we will update you if the company shares any further details about its development, so stay tuned.

No other Mi MIX smartphone launching this year, confirms Xiaomi executive

Xiaomi recently launched the Mi MIX Alpha concept smartphone with a staggering price tag of 19,999 Yuan, which roughly converts to $2,807. The phone features a wraparound display and is the world’s first to come with a camera sensor of over 100-megapixel.

The company has already confirmed that the Mi MIX Alpha will go on sale with limited quantities. So, there have been reports about Xiaomi working on another Mi MIX smartphone having some of the features of MiX Alpha that can be mass produced.

Some reports are hinting at Mi MIX 4 which will feature 108-megapixel camera sensor from Samsung, the same one that’s present on the Mi MIX Alpha. We also recently reported that the phone is expected to launch in October, as the listing on JD.com suggested.

However, Xiaomi China’s brand promotion manager and president of the conference, Edward Bishop, confirmed through a post on Weibo that there won’t be any other Mi MIX series smartphone getting launched this year.

The smartphone getting launched in October is not a part of Mi MIX series but will instead be a part of the newly introduced Mi CC series. This also puts the rumours to rest related to a MIX series smartphone with 16GB RAM by several Chinese publications.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is the world’s first smartphone with a curved display that wraps around almost the entire device. Except for the tiny vertical strip that houses the camera at the back, the display surrounds the entire smartphone, including the sides and the back.

This is a single display panel of 7.92-inch that wraps around the entire body bringing the screen to body ratio to a staggering 180.6%! This is made possible also because of the extremely narrow 2.15mm bezels on the top and the bottom.

The device is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ processor with 5G dual SIM support. There will be at least one version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The battery isn’t very large at 4,050mAh but it does support 40W fast charging just like the Mi 9 Pro 5G.

Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G official teardown reveals the smartphone’s internals

Xiaomi recently launched two new smartphones in its home market — Mi 9 Pro 5G and Mi MIX Alpha. The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G became the cheapest 5G smartphone available for purchase in the Chinese market.

Now, the company has officially shared the teardown images of the Mi 9 Pro 5G, revealing what’s inside the smartphone and how certain things work, such as the liquid cooling technology.

When the device is opened up, you see that there’s a 30W custom chip for wireless charging support as well as a larger area for heat dissipation graphite embedded in the motherboard.

Further, it seems that the phone is sealed airtight thanks to the camera edge foam sealing. Some users are speculating that anti-cheating measures built into Pokémon Go are misidentifying an app or system process which is unique to Xiaomi phones.

The players are getting banned with a 30-day suspension to permanent account closures. From the report, it seems that the ban issue may only affect certain devices from Xiaomi, running MIUI 10.3.2 but it has not been confirmed if that’s the only culprit. Niantic has not yet responded to this matter.

Pokémon Go is an augmented reality (AR) game by developed by Niantic in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for Android and iOS devices. It uses the mobile device GPS to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual ‘Pokémon’, which appear as if they are in the player’s real-world location. Last week, Xiaomi launched a couple of smartphones, which included Mi 9 Pro 5G and the Mi MIX Alpha concept smartphone. However, the company was expected to launch the Mi MIX 4 but instead we got the MIX Alpha concept phone.

Now, as it turns out, the reports were right about Xiaomi working on Mi MIX 4 smartphone, the successor of the Mi MIX 3. The device has been listed on online retailer JD.com which suggests that the phone will get launched by the end of October.

The listing also reveals that the phone will come in two variants based on connectivity support — 4G and 5G. However, apart from this, nothing is known about this upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi. The phone is listed for a price of 9,999 Yuan which is just a placeholder and not the actual pricing.

If the previous reports are to be believed, then the Mi MIX 4 will come featuring a waterfall display offering very high screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, ensuring powerful and smooth performance.

In the camera department, the smartphone will come with 108-megapixel primary sensor on the back, making it the second such device from Xiaomi after Mi MIX Alpha. As for the pricing, the Mi MIX 4 4G variant is expected to be priced similar to its predecessor while the pricing for the 5G variant could go north of 5,000 Yuan, roughly $702.

The launch event will be held in China by the end of October where we’ll get to know what the company is offering in this smartphone. However, we expect to know more about the Mi MIX 4 ahead of its launch and since there are a few week left before it goes official. Recent rumors have claimed that Meizu will be debuting the new phone called Meizu 16T on Oct. 23 in China. It is speculated to debut as a gaming-centric flagship phone. The Meizu M928Q phone that had recently appeared on TENAA with full specs could be the upcoming Meizu 16T phone. The same phone has been benchmarked on AnTuTu to reveal its performance prowess and key specs.

The m1928 phone shown in the AnTuTu benchmark screenshot is the M928Q phone from TENAA. It reveals that the purported Meizu 16T has a display that offers 1080 x 2232 pixels resolution and a tall aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The recently launched Meizu 16s Pro and Meizu 16s from April also support the same screen resolution on their 6.2-inch displays. The TENAA listing has revealed that the Meizu 16T has a larger OLED display of 6.5 inches.

The AnTuTu appearance reveals that the smartphone is fueled by Snapdragon 855 mobile platform and 6 GB of RAM. The handset has an internal storage of 128 GB and it is loaded with Android 9 Pie.

With a processor that has slower clocking speeds of 2.84GHz compared to the 2.96GHz Snapdragon 855+, the Meizu 16T has managed to reach an astounding an AnTuTu score of 418,909. This score is an average of 130660 points, 159213 points, 68704 points and 60332 points of CPU, GPU, memory and UX tests of AnTuTu.

In April, Vivo had debuted its gaming phone brand called iQOO by launching the Vivo iQOO smartphone. In July, the Snapdragon 845 chipset powered edition of the phone was introduced with iQOO Neo moniker. A fresh leak reveals that iQOO could be working on an affordable Snapdragon 855 version of the iQOO Neo smartphone.

In the above shown Weibo post, the tipster has claimed that the a Chinese factory brand is gearing up to launch a sequel for the low-price-high-performance smartphone powered by Snapdragon 845 that it had launched in July. The only SD845 phone that had debuted in July is the iQOO Neo smartphone. Hence, he could be talking about the arrival of the more powerful version of the iQOO Neo handset.

The tipster has said that instead of Snapdragon 845, the phone will be featuring the Snapdragon 855 SoC. It 22.5W fast charging technology will be swapped with 33W rapid charging. The handset has an OLED screen with waterdrop notch. Its other rumored features include in-screen fingerprint scanner and 4,500mAh battery. Also, the phone will be arriving with an enticing price tag. In comparison, the Vivo iQOO phone has a 4,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging technology. Huawei’s EMUI 10 plan shows the update will hit 33 models between October and December

Most Huawei fans are anxiously waiting for news about the Android Q-based EMUI 10 update. The new custom Android skin first found its way pre-installed on the Mate 30 series that was announced recently. The next in line to get updated to EMUI 10 is the Huawei P30 series, according to an earlier released schedule.

Huawei has reportedly officially released its EMUI 10 upgrade plan and it shows a total of 33 models will be upgraded between October and December. The 33 models include phones and tablets and spans both Huawei and Honor models.

The newly released schedule confirms the P30 series is the next in line to get the update. The P30 series beta testing will According to the progress announced by Huawei, the P30 series will start beta testing as soon as mid-October, while the Mate 20 series will begin beta testing in late October. The Mate 10 open beta will start rolling out in late November, while that of the P20 series will begin in late October.

Also for Honor models, the Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, V20 and Honor Magic 2 beta testing will commence in late October. The update for other Honor models will begin rolling out in November and December. The Honor models will get the beta version of Magic UI 3.0 .

EMUI 10 is an important update for Huawei phones as it improves smoothness and performance on existing devices. The company has even added a system-wide dark mode which even forces apps that don’t have a dark mode to comply. The system settings are better organized in this new version and the OS is designed to offer a better experience when working other devices like a Windows 10 laptop. EMUI 10 allows the smartphone to cast its screen directly on to the Windows 10 device, offering a seamless working experience.

Yesterday, a leaked image of the Honor V30 5G smartphone had surfaced on Weibo. Later on, the same day, the Weibo account of Huawei’s fan club hinted the arrival of Honor V30 5G phone. It indicates that the launch of the Honor V30 5G could be drawing near.

The above shown Weibo post talks about the arrival of 5G in China. It suggests people to discuss on the technical difficulties associated with 5G connectivity. The post further states that it will be sending out an Honor V30 5G phone to one of the commenters.

As it can be seen, no details on the release date or specifications of the Honor V30 5G were revealed. Since the company is seeking is suggestions from users in China on 5G connectivity, it appears that the company could be working on a seamless 5G experience on the Honor V30 5G.
