The Note 6 Pro borrows some of its specs from the Note 5 Pro. The rear shell of the phone is identical to the predecessor phone. The USP of the smartphone is that it comes with two rear cameras and two front-facing shooters. Moreover, it is equipped with a bigger notched display that offers a larger screen space.

Nokia Vega cancelled tablet’s prototype appears in leaked videos

Finland-based HMD Global is advertising and selling Nokia-branded smartphone since December 2016. Prior to that, Nokia was acquired by Microsoft in 2014. Before the acquisition, Nokia was reportedly working on tablets which didn’t see the light of the day.

While the company has launched one tablet so far — Nokia N1, the other tablets carrying codenames Illusionist, Mercury, Pine, and Vega/Atlas were canceled. Now a few videos have surfaced online revealing the prototype of Nokia ‘Vega’ tablet in action.

The video shows Nokia Vega tablet carrying model number RX-107. The tablet featured humongous bezels, especially comparing it with the current generation of tablets that focuses on slimmer bezels. Given that the tablet was to launch in 2014, we can look past those bezels.

As for the specifications, the Nokia Vega sports a 6.6-inch display and was powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It packed 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with support for memory expansion.

The device was running Windows RT operation system, which was a mobile operating system developed by Microsoft. It was an edition of Windows 8.X build for the 32-bit ARM processor-based devices. The ‘Vega’ tablet also featured an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1-megapixel front-facing snapper.

Realme 2 Pro update starts rolling out, brings November security patch

Days after updating Realme 2 and Realme C1, the former Oppo sub-brand is now releasing a new update for its Realme 2 Pro smartphone. The update, which is being rolled out over-the-air (OTA) brings the latest November security patch to the phone.

Along with the new Android security patch, the update also introduces a number of system-level optimizations for the company’s custom interface — ColorOS. After the update, users can dismiss notifications with a single swipe. Also, the headset icon will now appear in the status bar whenever a call is going on.

The phone also gets optimized reminders for Developer Options and Accessibility Mode. Further, the update comes with optimized image quality for the pictures taken using the front-facing camera. The company also acknowledged the battery drain issue and has updated the default TouchPal keyboard app that fixes the battery problem.

The new update for the Realme 2 Pro is being rolled out in phases, meaning it could take some time before it is available for all the users of the phone.

Realme 2 Pro will also get the ColorOS 5.2 update, which will update the smartphone to the latest Android 9 Pie. The ColorOS 5.2 update for the phone is expected to arrive next month.

As for the specifications, the phone features a  6.3-inch IPS LCD dewdrop display with Full HD+ screen resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent. Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC with its own AI engine.

The base model of the phone has 6GB of RAM whereas the highest configuration variant has 8GB of RAM. It comes in multiple storage variants of 64GB and 128GB. There’s a 16-megapixel AI dual cameras on the back and a 160megapixel front-facing snapper with several AI-based features.

Nokia’s latest entry-level offering, the Nokia 3.1 Plus is finally official in China. The phone was launched in India back in October and nearly after a month of its release, the phone finally reaches its neighbor. Specs remain unchanged on the new model, so what we are basically interested in is its price tag.

The Nokia 3.1 Plus is priced at 1099 Yuan ($158.6) which is quite close to the Indian pricing for the 3 + 32GB variant. The company is clearly looking for entry-level buyers with this positioning. The hardware inside the phone is pretty decent for its pricing. The phone features the octa-core Helio P22 chipset with MG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and a large 3500mAh battery. With the 6-inch HD+ display on board, you can easily expect more than a day’s usage on the device on a single charge.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 reaching Europe soon, appears for EEC Certification

Xiaomi is working hard to improve its sale and marketing channels further. Well, that hard work seems to be paying off in the latest Mi Mix 3 EEC certification. EEC is European certification agency as like of FCC in the U.S. and TENAA in China. In other words, Xiaomi is readying the launch of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 in Europe. Recently unveiled Mi Mix 3 model number M1810E5A has just appeared on European Economic Community.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has already been certified from Bluetooth SIG, and even there are rumors that it is going to debut in Germany on December 1st. ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 render with triple cameras, notched screen officially released

ASUS has already confirmed that it will be launching the ZenFone Max Pro M2 smartphone in Indonesia on Dec. 11. The key specs of the smartphone have been already leaked. Through a new tweet, the Indonesian wing on Asus has claimed that the upcoming M2 phone is the “Real Pro” smartphone. The tweet also carriers a render of the smartphone.

The new image confirms that the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be equipped with a notched screen. The notch houses the front camera and some other sensors. Above the selfie camera is the earpiece of the phone. The appearance of the phone resembles with its low resolution render that had surfaced through its Google Play Console listing.

The indicators for Wi-Fi signal and battery suggests that the handset will be running on near stock version of Android just like the predecessor ZenFone Max Pro M1. The handset is equipped with a triple camera system on its rear. However, the third camera lens is not clearly visible. The back panel of the phone has a glossy appeal. Alleged Realme U1 renders leak its front and rear design along with key specs

Realme U1 selfie focused smartphone will be announced on Nov. 28 in India. Fresh renders of the smartphone have surfaced to showcase its front and rear design.

The freshly leaked renders of the Realme smartphone reveal that it will be sporting a waterdrop notch display like the Realme 2 Pro smartphone. The handset seems to be equipped with a glass rear. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear along with a vertical dual camera. The volume buttons on the left edge of the device whereas the power button can be found on the right edge.

The render leak also carries some information on the key specs. It reveals that the handset features a 6.21-inch display that produces Full HD+ resolution. The handset may arrive with a6 GB of RAM and a native storage of 128 GB. The waterdrop notch of the phone may include a 25-megapixel selfie camera. The leak does not contain any information on its dual camera configuration and battery size.

Realme has already confirmed that the Realme U1 will be the world’s first MediaTek Helio P70 powered smartphone. The Realme U1 that has a model number of RMX1833 has achieved 145,021 benchmarking scores on AnTuTu. HTC debunks rumor about it not launching a HTC U13, reveals focus is on 5G

Last week, an exclusive report published by Phandroid, said that there wouldn’t be an HTC U13 next year. Instead, the Taiwanese phone maker would release “something else”. HTC has released an official response, debunking the statement.

While HTC didn’t explicitly say when the HTC U13 will launch, they did say that emphasis will be placed on 5G network technologies. It said it will build smartphones that will work with the new communication technology and will also focus on AI, blockchain and other technologies in the future. HTC also said it is still invested in virtual reality and its applications.

This year, HTC did things a bit differently and it appears it will continue to make changes to its business next year. While other manufacturers released flagships in the first quarter, HTC announced mid-range phones like the HTC U11 Eyes, the HTC Desire 12+ and Desire 12.

When it eventually announced its flagship in May, it was called the HTC U12+. Usually, HTC would launch a non-plus variant first and then follow it with the Plus variant towards the end of the year but for 2018, the Plus variant launched first and there was no non-plus model.
