Are we getting more GTA 6 info this summer? New trailer could drop in May

Even without being released, the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer has achieved an unfortunate record. Typically, near the one year mark, we get screenshots or more details of a new Rockstar title. However, it has been over 500 days since the first ever GTA 6 trailer dropped, and we still don’t have a second trailer or any screenshots. But there’s a chance that gamers will be getting more info soon.

New GTA 6 Reveal Coming Next Month?

So far, all we know is that GTA 6 is set to release sometime in Fall 2025 and will debut on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Series S. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar, held its financial earnings back in February, and the next earnings call is set for 15th May 2025. This has raised expectations that the studio might share more details of GTA 6 on the same date.

GTA 6
GTA 6

There are also rumors of the second GTA 6 trailer dropping during this time, or at least some screenshots being shared. On X (formerly Twitter), people have started speculating that more news regarding the most hyped GTA title would only arrive after the May 15 earnings call. @GameRollGTA stated that Borderlands 4 is getting its own State of Play soon, with Mafia also getting a presentation of its own on May 8.

In other words, we can expect a similar treatment for GTA 6. Last week, there was a report that attempted to estimate the launch timeline of the next Grand Theft Auto game. With Mafia: The Old Country possibly debuting on 8th August, while Borderlands 4 and NBA 2K26 are may get a September release timeline. This leaves only October and November since August and September are crowded and might cannibalize on sales across different titles. So November 2025 might be the month when GTA 6 is announced.

No! Samsung didn’t delay One UI 7 for the S23 series — stable update is already rolling out

When Samsung halted the One UI 7 update for its 2024 flagships, speculation grew about a possible delay for the 2023 flagships — namely, the S23 series and the 5th-generation foldables. But as it turns out, Samsung managed to fix the bug without causing any further delay for the older models.

A global rollout is expected in a few days

The Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra are now getting the stable One UI 7.0 update in South Korea, soon after the resumed rollouts for the S24, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6. A broader rollout is anticipated over the next few days.

Sporting firmware version S91xNKSU6DYD9, the update is a hefty 5GB for non-beta users and about 1GB for those in the beta program, packing the April 2025 security patch. South Korean S23 users can check for it by heading to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

This update is actually a big deal for the S23 series, wrapping up the One UI 7.0 Beta Program and bringing a fresh, modern look. The package includes revamped app icons, slicker widgets for home and lock screens, and smoother animations that make swiping feel snappy. The battery icon has also got a new look, and there’s a cool charging animation to boot. Galaxy AI features are leveled up too, though specifics are still trickling in.

One thing is for sure: Samsung is wasting no time, at least when we’re talking about the flagships. If you’re outside South Korea and using one of Samsung’s 2023 flagships, just keep an eye on your notifications. This update is set to make the S23 series feel better than ever, with a polished design and AI smarts to match.

Vivo X200 Ultra vs OPPO Find X8 Ultra: Build, Performance, and Practical Value Compared

Vivo X200 Ultra and OPPO Find X8 Ultra are two of the most anticipated Android flagships of the year, both pushing the limits of smartphone hardware. With similar pricing and high-end specs, choosing between them isn’t easy. This comparison highlights where each phone truly stands out, whether you care about design, battery life, camera performance, or daily use, so you can make a smarter choice based on your needs.

1. Design and Display

Vivo X200 Ultra
Vivo X200 Ultra

Build and Feel:
Both Vivo X200 Ultra and OPPO Find X8 Ultra embrace premium materials, offering polished craftsmanship and sturdy aluminum frames. Vivo leans into a slightly bulkier feel, largely due to its single-cell 6000mAh battery, making it a touch heavier in hand. On the other side, OPPO trims weight slightly and uses a refined dual-cell battery design, which enhances thermal balance during fast charging.

Both phones offer an almost identical screen-to-body ratio, but OPPO’s flatter screen versus vivo’s micro-curve design creates a distinction. The curved panel on the X200 Ultra gives it a more modern aesthetic but also makes it slightly more prone to accidental touches. OPPO’s flatter profile, by contrast, is more practical for gamers and media consumers who prefer a stable grip.

For those prioritizing ergonomics and durability in day-to-day handling, OPPO’s straightforward build feels slightly more functional, while Vivo’s more curved edges deliver a sleeker visual appeal.

Display Quality:
Both models sport 6.82-inch AMOLED QHD+ screens with 3168×1440 resolution, 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rates, and 1.07 billion color depth, which ensures sharpness and vibrancy. However, OPPO edges forward in peak brightness, offering up to 1600 nits, making it easier to use under harsh sunlight, especially for outdoor photography or map navigation.

Meanwhile, vivo offers a slightly higher sampling rate (300Hz in gaming), ensuring quicker touch responsiveness, which can be a decisive advantage in competitive gaming. OPPO’s display prioritizes visibility and contrast for everyday versatility, while Vivo’s enhanced touch response benefits users focused on fluid interaction.

Overall, OPPO’s higher brightness makes it better for varied lighting conditions, while vivo wins for tactile responsiveness.

Verdict:
OPPO Find X8 Ultra secures a slight lead in build and display usability thanks to its flatter design and higher brightness. The vivo X200 Ultra, however, appeals more to users who value immersive curves and superior touch sensitivity.

2. Specifications

OPPO Find X8 Ultra
OPPO Find X8 Ultra

Performance:
Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, built on a 3nm process, paired with Adreno 830 GPUs and LPDDR5X RAM. The vivo X200 Ultra pairs this with up to 300Hz sampling and a thermal design optimized for extended gaming. OPPO, while identical in raw processing power, benefits from excellent software tuning in ColorOS, offering superior app launch speeds and smoother multitasking, especially noticeable in resource-heavy photography and editing apps.

Both phones handle 4K video editing and high-end games like Genshin Impact without throttling, but OPPO’s slight edge in sustained thermal control gives it the advantage in long-session stability.

For peak computing and real-world use, OPPO delivers a more consistent performance curve under load, while vivo leans toward burst performance with sharper UI responsiveness.

Battery and Charging:
Vivo X200 Ultra packs a 6000mAh single-cell battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. OPPO counters with a dual-cell 6100mAh setup, 100W wired, and 50W wireless charging. The dual-cell structure in OPPO not only charges slightly faster but also generates less heat, promoting longer battery health.

Vivo’s single-cell design, while robust, tends to get warmer under 90W load. Additionally, OPPO offers more charging protocol flexibility, supporting PPS, PD, and QC standards, making it friendlier to third-party accessories.

OPPO’s efficient power management and faster wireless charge tilt the scale toward it, especially for users prioritizing longevity and top-up speed.

Verdict:
Both phones deliver flagship-grade performance, but OPPO’s thermal management and charging flexibility position it as a more reliable everyday workhorse. Vivo’s single-cell approach offers marginally longer screen-on time per charge, but OPPO wins in recharge speed and safety, especially under varied conditions.

3. Camera

Vivo X200 Ultra
Vivo X200 Ultra

Main and Secondary Lenses:
Vivo X200 Ultra boasts a 50MP main, 50MP wide, and an impressive 200MP periscope lens, designed for ultra-high digital zoom up to 105x and excellent OIS stabilization. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra, while sticking to a 50MP quad-camera setup, features a standout optical system with multi-lens modules that prioritize consistent image quality across focal lengths rather than extreme zoom. OPPO also offers more cinematic video modes and better 4K slow-motion stability.

For pure photographic detail, especially long-range, Vivo’s 200MP periscope delivers unmatched clarity at a distance. Yet, OPPO provides more natural colors and a balanced dynamic range in complex lighting. Users valuing extreme zoom and creative framing will find vivo superior, while OPPO suits those who prefer accurate color science and video versatility.

Selfie Camera:
Vivo equips a 50MP front camera with advanced modes including 4K video recording, whereas OPPO opts for a 32MP sensor with 4K support and reliable autofocus. Despite the lower megapixel count, OPPO’s front camera leverages superior tuning for facial textures and lighting, making it particularly strong for video calls and social media-ready shots.

Vivo’s 50MP front sensor favors high-resolution selfies and greater cropping flexibility without loss of detail, especially useful for vloggers. For casual portraits, OPPO delivers more flattering results straight out of the camera, but Vivo holds the advantage for higher resolutions.

Verdict:
Vivo X200 Ultra excels in zoom and megapixel-driven photography, appealing to photographers who prioritize detail. OPPO Find X8 Ultra shines with color accuracy, consistency, and versatile video modes, offering a more balanced and refined camera experience for both photos and cinematic clips.

4. Pricing

OPPO Find X8 Ultra
OPPO Find X8 Ultra

Both devices are priced nearly identically, around €775-€780. Given their shared Snapdragon 8 Extreme chip, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS4.1 storage, the pricing appears competitive for the hardware. Vivo packs in a higher megapixel periscope, while OPPO focuses on balanced camera modules and more refined charging tech.

For buyers prioritizing extreme photography, Vivo’s 200MP periscope camera justifies its cost. Meanwhile, OPPO offers a more all-rounded package for the same price, especially when factoring in faster charging, superior software stability, and advanced satellite communication (on certain models). The value proposition leans toward OPPO for everyday dependability, while Vivo appeals more to camera hobbyists.

5. Conclusion

OPPO Find X8 Ultra
OPPO Find X8 Ultra

Both phones share standout features like Snapdragon 8 Extreme chipsets, 16GB RAM, and AMOLED QHD+ displays, but each has unique strengths. Vivo’s 200MP periscope zoom and 105x digital zoom set it apart for photography enthusiasts who require unmatched magnification. OPPO, however, integrates satellite communication (Tiantong system) for emergency calls and texts, plus broader NFC functions for eID, transit, and digital wallets.

OPPO also edges out with its dual-cell battery and higher wireless charging rate, ensuring better longevity. Vivo’s edge lies in optical reach and slightly more aggressive game-mode optimizations, whereas OPPO offers a better-rounded daily experience with future-proof features.

Final Verdict:
Vivo X200 Ultra is designed for photography lovers and power users who value high zoom, strong detail retention, and an eye-catching curved screen. OPPO Find X8 Ultra counters with a more polished balance: better thermal control, broader connectivity (including satellite comms), and more consistent camera color science.

Both are excellent, but OPPO edges out as the more versatile flagship.

Amazfit Active 2 Is Here, and the Price Isn’t as Bad as It Looks

Amazfit has officially launched its Active 2 smartwatch in India. We previously praised this wearable for offering solid features at a relatively low price. That is, in markets like the US and Europe, where it starts at $99 and €99, respectively.

At first glance, the Indian pricing seems drastically higher. The Amazfit Active 2 comes in two versions: Standard and Premium. The Standard model carries an MRP of Rs 21,999 in India, while the Premium version is listed at Rs 24,999.

However, the brand has clarified that these are only the maximum retail prices. The actual sale prices are significantly lower at Rs 9,999 for the Standard model and Rs 11,999 for the Premium. That brings them much closer to the international pricing structure.

Familiar hardware with some premium touches

The Active 2 comes with a 1.32-inch AMOLED display that reaches up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. The body is made of stainless steel, and while the Standard model ships with either black or red silicone straps, the Premium version adds a leather strap, a second silicone band, and sapphire glass for added durability.

Internally, it’s equipped with Amazfit’s BioTracker 6.0 PPG sensor, which supports heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. The sleep tracking algorithms have also been updated, and the watch now includes a barometer for altitude tracking, along with support for skiing and other winter sports.

It also has support for the Zepp Flow AI assistant that lets you change watch settings, adjust the calendar, and more with just your voice. Likewise, the Zepp Coach feature provides personalized training workout plans for both beginners and seasoned athletes.

Speaking of which, the wearable supports over 160 sports modes, including activity types like HYROX races. Most Indians want compact smartphones, but options are limited: Counterpoint survey

India’s love affair with smartphones is only growing stronger, but there’s a rising undercurrent that brands are still ignoring: users want compact phones, and not just budget-friendly ones. According to a new consumer survey from Counterpoint Research, there’s a real appetite for compact smartphones that don’t cut corners on performance. In fact, 88 percent of respondents said they would buy a smaller device if it could match the power and battery life of today’s larger flagships.

Xiaomi 15
Xiaomi 15

Here’s the thing: the definition of “compact” has changed. The survey finds that a majority of Indian users, especially younger professionals and early jobbers, consider a 6 to 6.5-inch display to be the sweet spot. That might sound big, but in a world where most devices hover closer to 6.7 or 6.8 inches, shaving off even half an inch can dramatically improve one-handed usability.

And that’s exactly the point. Over 55 percent of respondents cited ease of handling and one-handed use as key reasons for preferring smaller phones. Add to that the comfort factor during long usage sessions, and it becomes clear that form factor isn’t just about portability, it’s about daily practicality.

Yet, the options are slim. In 2024, nearly 90 percent of smartphones launched had displays larger than 6.5 inches. Brands continue to chase bigger screens, louder specs, and flashier designs while overlooking a large chunk of the user base that just wants something that fits better in the hand, doesn’t strain the wrist, and still runs like a beast.

Counterpoint Compact Smartphone Research 2025

Consumers aren’t willing to compromise, either. Over half of the surveyed users won’t settle for a phone that sacrifices processor strength or battery life for size. And this isn’t just about productivity. A surprising 86 percent of respondents said they would actually prefer compact devices for mobile gaming, citing better ergonomics and reduced hand fatigue. AI-powered features, customizable shortcuts, and advanced thermal designs are also in demand, reflecting just how high the bar has been set even for a smaller phone.

So who’s in the running to meet this demand? Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus came out on top as the brands users trust most to get the compact formula right. But as things stand, the gap is wide open and ripe for disruption.

While nothing shifts overnight, there’s reason to be optimistic. Battery tech has improved drastically over the past year with the introduction of silicon-carbon batteries, and thermal management in phones has also seen a leap forward. These advancements give brands the headroom to experiment with more compact yet capable phones.

That said, making devices smaller than 6.1 or 6.2 inches might not make much sense anymore, given how much content people consume and how central gaming has become. If there is a new compact flagship wave coming, it will likely hover around the 6.3-inch mark, arguably the new goldilocks zone for phones in 2025.

Anbernic’s cheap handheld consoles bid farewell to the US over recent tariffs

The US tariffs are impacting various industries, and we are already seeing signs of this in the gaming hardware segment as well. Anbernic is a known handheld maker popular for its retro consoles. But the brand is pulling out of the US market over these new tariffs. So here’s everything you need to know.

Anbernic retro handhelds are leaving the US

The company just announced that it will be suspending shipments of its affordable consoles from China to the US over the recent tariff wars. To recall, Anbernic is best known for selling cheap retro handheld consoles that are typically focused on emulation.

In an official statement, the brand stated that “Due to changes in U.S. tariff policies, we will be suspending all orders shipping from China to the United States starting today. We strongly recommend prioritizing products shipped from our U.S. warehouse, which are currently not affected by import duties and can be purchased with confidence.”

Anbernic RG35XX Retro Gaming Handheld

In the past, Anbernic has offered options that allow users to choose which warehouse they wanted to ship their devices from, allowing them to avoid additional custom fees. But the new tariffs mean that new customers can no longer buy directly from China. Unless there is a big change, US gamers would likely missing out on any future Anbernic console launches as well.

As of right now, US President Donald Trump has announced a 90 day pause on most tariffs, while increasing the tariffs companies would need to pay for importing from China. So it makes sense that Anbernic decided to pull out of the region till the situation improves.

This limited-time deal lets you save £369!

Following their earlier Galaxy S25+ offer with free Buds 3, Samsung has upped the ante. This new deal slashes £150 off the Galaxy S25+, dropping the 256GB model to £849 (from £999) and the 512GB to £949 (from £1,099).

On top of that, you get the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at no extra cost. These earbuds, normally £219, are Samsung’s best yet, boasting Blade Lights and planar driver tech for crisp, immersive audio. Even if you buy them separately, they’re currently £40 off, but snagging them free with the S25+ is a real win.

The Galaxy S25+ itself is a solid choice for Samsung enthusiasts — it packs a 6.7-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with 2600 nits of brightness, more than enough for outdoor usage on a sunny day. It’s powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chip as the S25 Ultra, ensuring seamless execution of almost anything you can through at it. Although its middle frame is made of aluminum instead of the Ultra’s titanium, the overall build quality is still impressive, as per reviews and durability tests. While it lacks the S Pen, it’s the best non-Ultra slab phone Samsung offers — and its slightly smaller size makes it more appealing to those who prefer one-hand use.

This deal is only available for a short time, so you’ll need to act fast. Head to Samsung’s UK e-shop to grab the S25+ in your choice of storage and color. With £369 in savings, this bundle is a perfect time to upgrade for Galaxy fans.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 clears Samsung’s internal tests with Snapdragon 8 Elite, Could the Exynos 2500 still make the cut?

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 has just surfaced in yet another rumor, this time, hinting at the issues Samsung is facing with the Exynos 2500. This upcoming flip foldable phone has apparently cleared every internal Samsung testing, however, it passed these with the Snapdragon 8 Elite and not the Exynos chip. So here’s everything we know.

Is the Galaxy Z Flip 7 sticking with Snapdragon?

To recall, recent rumors and reports have hinted at the South Korean tech giant Galaxy Z Flip 7 launching with the Exynos 2500 chipset. This is the brand’s next gen proprietary chipset. Earlier this month, we covered a report regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 7 hitting mass production next month, packing the Exynos 2500. However, a recent tweet from known tipster PandaFlashPro claims that this might not be the case.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Leaked Render

The tipster stated that the Snapdragon 8 Elite is in high demand for Samsung, which is the same chip that powers the flagship Galaxy S25 series. But while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 was expected to launch with the Exynos 2500, the high demand hints at the device featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Furthermore, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 recently cleared all internal tests from Samsung with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

This includes the Network Connectivity Tests as well. So the brand could just use the Snapdragon chip again rather than employ its own chips that have been facing production issues. Talking more about the device itself, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is set to arrive with upgrades over its predecessors that include a bigger cover display, a newer chipset, and more. But it won’t be alone as the brand is also planning a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model as well.

HMD’s Barbie Phone is Back in Stock, Still Bright Pink and Nostalgically Basic

HMD is once again making its Barbie-branded flip phone available for purchase. The company announced today that the HMD Barbie Phone has been restocked after its initial rollout last year and a launch in India last month.

HMD Barbie Phone Overview

Like before, it’s still the same flip phone wrapped in hot pink plastic and Barbie iconography. Not much has changed. The device sticks to the basics, designed more as a style statement or a nostalgia piece than anything approaching modern smartphone functionality.

The Barbie Phone runs on the S30+ operating system, which is more in line with early 2000s feature phones than anything seen in the current Android landscape. It has two displays: a 2.8-inch QVGA inner screen and a 1.77-inch QQVGA outer display that also doubles as a mirror.

Internally, it’s powered by a Unisoc T107 chipset, 64MB of RAM, and 128MB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

The device supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, along with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s an FM radio that works both with and without headphones, and a built-in MP3 player rounds out the entertainment options.

For taking photos, there’s a 0.3-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. It likely won’t do much beyond capturing extremely low-res memories.

The 1,450mAh removable battery keeps the phone running through its limited list of features. On paper, the battery size sounds teeny tiny, but with minimal hardware, it should be enough to last a few days on standby.

Availability

The phone ships with a few themed accessories, including Barbie-branded back covers, stickers, and a beaded lanyard. And there’s only one color option, Power Pink.

The HMD Barbie Phone is available now from the official site for Rs 7,999 in India and $129 in the US.
