Now, a fresh report from SamMobile claims that, according to their internal sources, Samsung is preparing to officially introduce the Galaxy S25 Edge next month. Additionally, another source has shared an image, revealing the leaked specifications of the device.

According to the new report, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will now launch on May 13, marking a delay of nearly one month from its originally rumoured schedule. The reason for the change remains unclear. Samsung is said to be opting for an online-only presentation, which may vary by region, rather than hosting a full-scale global launch event.

At just 5.84mm thick and weighing 162 grams, it is said to be among Samsung’s slimmest devices yet, housed within a titanium alloy frame and offering IP68 dust and water resistance.

In terms of optics, it may sport a 200-megapixel main sensor with OIS, paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The phone is also expected to run Android 15 with One UI 7 and could benefit from 7 years of Android OS upgrades and security updates, matching Samsung’s commitment for its flagship S25 series.

Under the hood, the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, along with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. A 3,900mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging is expected to back the phone.

Honor has officially launched the Play 60 and Play 60m smartphones in China, successors to last year’s Play 50 series. Both devices feature identical hardware but differ in color options and pricing.

Casio Launches Full-Metal G-Shock GMCB2100D Series in the US

Casio released two new all-metal G-Shock watches in the US, the GMCB2100D-1A and GMCB2100D-2A. They’re both $800. These watches are based on the original 1983 G-Shock, with the same octagonal bezel, but they have updated features.

Both watches have a stainless steel case, bezel, band, and a one-touch clasp. They’re built to be tough, with a resin buffer inside to handle shocks, even though they’re metal. The bezel is made in several steps, with a specific finish on top and a shiny finish on the sides.

They measure 51.3 × 46.3 × 12.4 mm and weigh 171 grams. They’re water-resistant to 200 meters, shock-resistant, and have a screw-down crown that fits the bezel’s shape. These watches use solar power with Casio’s Tough Solar system, and the battery lasts up to 18 months in power-saving mode. Honor to skip Magic V4 and directly launch Magic V5 foldable

Recent reports have claimed that Honor may hold a launch event in June in China to unveil a vertically folding phone, possibly the Honor Magic V2 Flip, and a book-style foldable. The latter will arrive as a major rival to the Oppo Find N5, which debuted in February in China. Just like Oppo decided to skip the “Find N4” branding and launched the Find N3’s successor as the Find N5, Honor has also reportedly decided to skip the Honor Magic V4 branding.

Last year, Honor unveiled the Magic V3 and Magic Vs3 book-style foldable phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 2 chipsets, respectively, in China. This year, the brand is speculated to launch only the successor to the Magic V3, not the Vs3. A fresh leak from a Chinese tech blogger has revealed that instead of continuing with the expected Magic V4 moniker, Honor will skip directly to Magic V5.

This aligns with a common practice among Chinese brands, where the number “4” is often avoided due to tetraphobia – a cultural belief that associates the number with misfortune. Huawei, Honor’s former parent brand, followed a similar path last year by releasing the Mate X5, bypassing the Mate X4.

The Magic V5 is expected to be unveiled in the third or fourth week of June. Product Manager Li Kun has hinted that the upcoming foldable will be thinner than its predecessor, the Magic V3. It might come close to or even beat Oppo’s Find N5, which currently holds the title for the thinnest book-style foldable.

In terms of specifications, the Magic V5 foldable may sport a 6.45-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED cover screen and an 8-inch 2K 120Hz inner display. While the Find N5 has a 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chip onboard, the Magic V5 will feature the regular 8-core version of the chip.

The camera setup is said to include a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with larger sensors for improved performance. Additional features may include wireless charging, satellite connectivity, IPX8 water resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner – placing it in direct competition with the top-tier foldables of 2025.

In today’s leak, tipster Smart Pikachu has claimed that the Find X9 series will feature a 200-megapixel main camera or a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. He added that the necessary materials for these components are already available, and the phones are expected to debut by the end of this year.

Furthermore, the tipster indicates that both the “parent” brand—likely referring to Oppo—and its “subsidiary” brands, possibly OnePlus or Realme (though this remains speculative), will have access to these camera technologies. This suggests that similar high-end camera setups could appear not only on Oppo’s flagship devices but also on smartphones from its related brands in the future.

Ideally, the brand may offer a 200-megapixel camera on the Find X9 Ultra. However, the possibility of it being included on the Find X9 Pro cannot be ruled out. The reason behind this is that while the Find X9 and X9 Pro are expected to launch later this year, the Ultra edition may break cover next year.

As per reports, the entire Find X9 series will feature a flat display. There’s a possibility that the Find X9 Pro may feature a 6.8-inch OLED LTPO panel with a 1.5K resolution, whereas the Ultra variant may feature the same-sized screen with support for 2K+ resolution. The Ultra model could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, whereas the X9, X9 Plus, and X9 Pro may feature the Dimensity 9500 SoC.
