Galaxy S26 Ultra prototype packs 3.5X and 8X telephoto with new sensors

Samsung appears to be planning a major spec overhaul for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, following two generations of Ultra models that saw minimal changes in design and specifications. According to a recent leak, a prototype of the S26 Ultra includes a single 200MP periscope telephoto. Now, the latest leak suggests that Samsung is experimenting with different camera setups for the upcoming Ultra model.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra - S Pen
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra – S Pen

The first telephoto finally includes a 50MP sensor

According to X tipster @SiddhantGeek, another prototype of the Galaxy S26 Ultra still includes the dual-telephoto setup, but the focal lengths are different. The 3X telephoto has been replaced with a 3.5X one, something we have seen lately from some of the Chinese OEMs. But what’s even more interesting is that it finally includes a larger 50MP sensor inside. The sensor reportedly measures 1/3.15″ and has a pixel size of 0.56um. In contrast, the current 10MP sensor measures 1/3.52″ and has a pixel size of 1.12µm.

While the native pixel size of the 50MP sensor is much smaller, it will likely use 4-1 pixel binning and capture at 12.5MP, which is intended to make up for the smaller pixels. Aside from sharper images, the higher resolution (more than 33MP) also enables the phone to record in 8K from the 3.5X telephoto. However, enabling the option and fine tuning the image processing for the purpose ultimately depends on Samsung.

Moving on to the periscope telephoto, it now has 8X magnification, up from 5X of the S25 Ultra. The new sensor has the same 50MP resolution but is slightly smaller at 1/2.76″ (down from 1/2.52″), which could be due to minimizing the protrusion of the camera module. For those unfamiliar, both a larger sensor and a longer zoom range (larger focal length) increase the protrusion of the camera module, so a smaller sensor can counteract the increase in zoom range and somewhat maintain the protrusion.

The ultrawide remains the same as the S25 Ultra in this prototype, but the main sensor has an F/1.4-4.0 variable aperture mechanism. That said, the company is likely experimenting with different specifications, and still has enough time to improve or cancel some of the specs mentioned above. We will likely get more information on the development as we inch closer to the launch.

Samsung drops Galaxy Buds 3 Price to only $99 in limited-time deal

Samsung has launched an unprecedented discount on its premium Galaxy Buds 3, slashing the price by $80 to match the cost of its more basic Buds FE model. The Buds 3 is now available for just $99, which normally retails at $179. Currently, only the silver color option remains in stock, with the white variant already sold out – possibly due to high demand from this promotion.

Image: Samsung

Here’s how Galaxy Buds 3 stands out from the FE model

The Galaxy Buds 3 represent a significant upgrade over the budget-focused Buds FE. It boasts IP57 dust and water resistance, a substantial improvement over the Buds FE‘s basic IPX2 rating. Its active Noise Cancellation delivers superior audio isolation, while battery life reaches 6 hours per charge (5 hours with ANC enabled) and 30 hours total with the charging case. Advanced features like AI-powered Adaptive Equalizer, Interpreter Mode, and seamless switching between Galaxy devices further justify their original premium positioning.

Source: Galaxy Buds 3 product page on Samsung US

For buyers seeking the absolute lowest price point, Samsung is also offering the Galaxy Buds FE at a reduced $79 (down from $99). However, the FE model comes with notable compromises, which include the lack of ANC and significantly weaker water resistance.

The current promotion presents a clear choice for Galaxy ecosystem users: go for the discounted Buds 3 to get near-flagship features at entry-level pricing, or opt for the Buds FE to minimize costs while sacrificing the premium features. Notably, this deal may not last long as the inventory is already showing signs of depletion. Samsung didn’t announce an official end date, but the sell-out of white models suggests interested buyers should act quickly.

The promotion offers one of the best value propositions we’ve seen for Samsung audio accessories, effectively putting mid-tier performance within reach of budget-conscious consumers. At this price, the Buds 3 represent an unusually strong bargain in the wireless earbud market.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo F29 will be available in Solid Purple and Glacier Blue, with two storage options:

  • ₹23,999 for 8GB + 128GB

What’s Under the Hood?

The Oppo F29 Pro sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and a peak brightness of 2,100 nits. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP monochrome sensor at the back, while a 16MP selfie camera sits up front. A 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging keeps things running, all packed in a slim 7.6mm body. It also boasts an IP66, IP68, and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

The standard Oppo F29 shares much of the same DNA, featuring a slightly larger 6.7-inch AMOLED display, though with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and a lower peak brightness of 1,200 nits.

It swaps the chipset for a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, alongside 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The camera hardware mirrors the Pro model, but the battery capacity jumps to 6,500mAh—albeit with slower 45W charging. It maintains the same durability ratings and measures just 7.7mm thick.

Thermal Master P2 review: A compact and powerful thermal camera for Android

The Thermal Master P2 is a tiny yet powerful thermal imaging camera designed exclusively for Android devices. Weighing just 10g, it packs a 256×192 IR resolution, 15X zoom, and a temperature range of -4°F to 1112°F (-20°C to 600°C). After spending some time with it, here’s my experience with its design, performance, and usability.

1. Design and build

Thermal Master P2

The P2 is incredibly compact—smaller than a keychain—and feels well-built. It connects directly to an Android phone via USB-C, making it an ultra-portable solution for thermal imaging. The packaging is premium, and it even comes with a key case, which is a nice touch for easy storage.

2. Performance and usability (Part 1)

Thermal Master P2 camera samples
Phone

Setting up the P2 is simple:

  • Download the Temp Master app,
  • Plug it into the phone, and
  • Start capturing thermal images instantly.

I think I will often use it since I constantly test and review phones and consumer tech gadgets. As can be seen in one of the above images, I found out that one of the phones I am testing was heating—I don’t know why, probably because its display was on. I was curious to check the temperature. So I used this thermal camera, and it not only showed the temperature but also clearly revealed that the top portion was heating more.

Another thing is the mini projector I am testing—it’s usually not that hot, but the vents on either side release heat. I was curious to check the temperature, and the thermal camera showed that the heat surpassed 50°C. Interestingly, I also checked the temperature of my iron, which exceeded 155°C.

Readers should note that the P2 draws power from the phone, but the power consumption on the Galaxy S25 Ultra—and any other phone, for that matter—would be negligible.

3. Performance and usability (Part 2)

Thermal Master P2 camera samples
Coffee cup

One downside is that the settings reset each time you close the app, which can be annoying if you prefer custom configurations.

If you use a thick phone case, the camera’s USB-C connector might not fit properly, requiring you to either remove the case or use the included extension cable, which can be awkward to handle. The camera’s close-up focus distance is relatively long (around 10 cm), making it less ideal for detailed work on small electronic components, though the P2 Pro model with a macro lens addresses this.

Thermal Master P2 camera samples

It’s also sensitive to shocks, moisture, and magnetic fields, and users are warned against pointing it at high-temperature sources like the sun or open flames, as these can damage the sensor.

Who is it for?

This camera is great for HVAC professionals, electricians, automotive technicians, and DIY enthusiasts. It makes detecting heat leaks, circuit issues, and mechanical overheating much easier without the bulk of a full-size thermal camera.

4. Final thoughts

Thermal Master P2
Thermal Master P2 camera size is almost the size of the Galaxy A56’s camera module

The Thermal Master P2 delivers impressive thermal imaging in a tiny form factor. It offers clear imaging, easy usability, and a powerful zoom, making it a great budget-friendly alternative to high-end thermal cameras. However, app setting resets, case compatibility, and close-up limitations are minor drawbacks.

Available for $249 on stores like Amazon, the P2 is a solid investment for professionals and hobbyists needing a portable and efficient thermal imaging solution.

Samsung is getting hit with a sizeable tax penalty in India after failing to pay the government over import tariffs. The Indian government has levied a massive fine for failing to pay evading these duties on both the company and the senior executives. So here are all the details.

Samsung India Tax Penalty

The news comes from a Reuters report, which states that Samsung and its officials in back taxes and penalties for evading tariffs. These duties that the South Korean tech giant is over telecom equipment that it imported. This is one of the largest tax penalties demanded by the Indian government in recent times. The total sum faced by Samsung India is $601 million in penalties. This includes 44.6 billion rupees in unpaid taxes or around $520 million along with a 100 percent penalty.

The brand has also been accused of misclassification of “Remote Radio Heads”, which is a critical 4G telecom component, which allows Samsung to avoid 10 percent or 20 percent tariffs.

The imports consisted of $784 million worth of components from South Korea and Vietnam between the periods 2018 and 2021. Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio purchased these from the popular tech brand. This was also responsible for a large portion of Samsung’s net profits in 2024 in India, which totalled to around $955 million.

JBL Partybox Encore 2 drops in China with 100W sound, karaoke, dynamic lights, and serious bass

JBL has launched its latest portable party speaker, the PartyBox Encore 2, in China. Available now on JD.com, it’s priced at 3,699 yuan ($510), with a limited pre-sale offer dropping it to 3,099 yuan ($427).

JBL Partybox Encore 2

JBL PartyBox Encore 2 Specifications

The Encore 2 is built to be the centerpiece of any party — indoors or out — with a punchy 100W RMS output powered by a 135mm long-throw subwoofer and two 25mm dome tweeters. It covers frequencies from 40Hz to 20kHz, meaning you’ll get deep, room-filling bass alongside crisp highs and clean mids.

Wireless performance gets an upgrade here, thanks to Bluetooth 5.4 and LE Audio support. JBL is also bringing Auracast to the table, letting users wirelessly link multiple speakers for bigger soundscapes and more immersive events.

Portability is clearly part of the Encore 2’s design DNA. At just 6.4kg, with rounded edges and a silicone handle that feels more like luggage than a speaker, it’s easy to move from the backyard to the beach. It’s also IPX4-rated, so splashes or unexpected rain won’t cut the music short.

The built-in 4722mAh battery promises up to 15 hours of playtime and takes under 3.5 hours to fully charge. JBL also includes two wireless microphones in the box, each running for up to 10 hours on a single charge. They pair instantly, with dedicated knobs to tweak volume levels on the fly, perfect for karaoke nights or live hosting.

There’s also something here for performers: a guitar input with its own gain control. And for those who still like cables, an AUX port is available on the back panel.

Design-wise, the Encore 2 doesn’t hold back. The front grille features an embossed JBL soundwave logo, and the “angel-eye” light rings can be customized via the JBL PartyBox app, letting you sync lighting effects and sound profiles to match the mood.

You should also take a look at these 5 JBL speakers that are definitely worth considering.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge with disappointing 25W charging visits FCC

Samsung is working on an ultra slim flagship that is expected to bring flagship grade hardware and a premium design. While the Galaxy S25 Edge has already been spotted in various rumors and reports, the latest certification sighting showcases its disappointing fast charging rate.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge spotted on FCC

The Indian and US variants of the South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy S25 Edge were certified by the FCC. The former carries the SM-S937B/DS and SM-S937B model numbers while the latter variant carries the SM-S937U and SM-S937U1 (Via 91Mobiles). This listing does not reveal the official moniker of this device, but the model number basically confirms that it is the Galaxy S25 Edge. We don’t get a lot of information from this listing, but it does confirm support for 5G, Bluetooth LE, WiFi, NFC, WPT, and UWB.

Galaxy-S25-Edge-camera-module
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

But one of the key details that was confirmed was the fast charging rate. Unfortunately, Samsung is still sticking with the awfully slow 25W charging speeds for the Galaxy S25 Edge, matching the base Galaxy S25. Based on our previous reports, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to offer 2K resolution from its 6.6-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. This panel is surrounded by a titanium frame. The company might be planning on launching the S25 Edge globally in April 2025.

A 3,900mAh battery pack may power this model. Other notable features include an IP68 rating, 200MP + 50MP dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 162 gram weight, ultra slim 5.84mm body, One UI 7 custom skin out of the box, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage.

Vivo T4 5G

According to leaks, the Vivo T4 5G could feature a 7300mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The device is expected to sport a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The design includes a center punch-hole cutout and a slightly curved screen within a slim 7.89mm body.

Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+ show striking size difference in new leak

A fresh leak has revealed a clear visual comparison between Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 FE and its larger sibling, the Tab S10 FE+, highlighting the screen size jump. The render, shared by reliable tipster Evan Blass, showcases the 10.9-inch Tab S10 FE alongside the new 13.1-inch Tab S10 FE+ — which is the largest display ever seen in Samsung’s budget-friendly tablet lineup.

Key details from the leak:

Larger size: The Tab S10 FE+’s 13.1-inch screen dwarfs its 10.9-inch counterpart and even surpasses the 12.4-inch Tab S9 FE+. Only Samsung’s premium 14.6-inch Tab S Ultra models are larger.

Sleek design: Both tablets maintain an ultra-thin 6mm profile — 0.5mm slimmer than their predecessors — despite the FE+’s expanded dimensions.

Shared specs: Powered by the Exynos 1560 chip, both models feature IP68-rated aluminum bodies, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and optional 5G connectivity.

Pricing: Leaks suggest a base price of €579 for the Tab S10 FE and €749 for the FE+, with 5G variants potentially reaching €949.

The Tab S10 FE+’s enlarged display signals Samsung’s effort to bridge the gap between its mid-range and premium tablets. However, the price hike over previous FE models could test the series’ “affordable flagship” positioning. With no official launch date confirmed, the leak fuels anticipation for Samsung’s next Fan Edition reveal.

According to previous reports about the Tab S10 FE series and the performance and efficiency tests of the Galaxy A56 (that runs on the same chip), performance improvement over the Tab S9 FE series (powered by Exynos 1380) could be one of the biggest selling points of the Tab S10 FE series.

Galaxy S23 series gets One UI 7 Beta 2 with more AI features from S25 series

Samsung has rolled out the second One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S23 series, bringing it closer to a stable release. The update (version ZYCE) is currently available in the UK, with other markets expected to follow soon. Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE is excluded from this beta program, limiting the update to the standard S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra models.

Galaxy S23, Tab S10 series One UI 7 beta

This beta introduces several AI features borrowed from the Galaxy S25

The Galaxy AI features include Google Gemini integration via the power key and text summarization tools for selected apps and web pages. However, some more advanced features, like Audio Eraser, remain exclusive to the Galaxy S24 and S25 series, Z Fold 6, and Tab S10. This One UI 7 Beta 2 update also includes some minor bug fixes, which signals that the stable version is nearing completion.

Key details:

  • Availability: UK first, other regions soon.
  • How to install: Settings > Software update > Download and install (for beta participants).

New features:

  • Long-press power button for Google Gemini.
  • AI-powered text summarization and writing tools.

Limitations: No Audio Eraser or other 2024-exclusive AI features.

Stable release timeline: Expected in April, though newer devices like the S24 will receive it first.

The Galaxy S24 series is now getting its last One UI 7 beta update, which suggests Samsung is finally done ironing out all the known bugs. This is the 6th beta update for the S24 series, which you can learn more about here.

While the S23 series’ second beta update concludes a short list of bug fixes, Samsung has yet to confirm a definitive rollout date for the stable version. For now, beta testers can explore these incremental improvements.

Galaxy S25 Edge to launch quietly as last year’s Z Fold SE

According to leaks and rumors, Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge will launch in April, so we are pretty close. But don’t expect a flashy Unpacked event to mark its debut. Industry insiders suggest the company may opt for a low-key announcement via press release, much like what it did with the Galaxy Z Fold SE.

Galaxy-S25-Edge-side-view

A flashy launch event will be substituted by a press release, claims tipster

The speculation follows Samsung’s unusually secretive handling of the device. Despite showcasing the S25 Edge at both its January Unpacked event and MWC 2025, the company prohibited hands-on access—even for press—while remaining tight-lipped about key details like its rumored ceramic body. The phone has already appeared in multiple certification platforms, including BIS and FCC, which hints at an imminent launch. But this controlled reveal strategy hints at a launch without the typical fanfare.

If the claim is true, the decision to forgo a dedicated event may reflect Samsung’s confidence in the S25 Edge as a complementary model to its flagship S25 series rather than a standalone product. By leveraging existing hype from earlier showcases and proceeding with a quiet rollout, the company could streamline marketing efforts while maintaining an air of exclusivity around the device.

Also, the S25 Edge may serve more as a testing ground for the new form factor rather than a device designed to attract new users to the Galaxy ecosystem. This thesis becomes clearer when you look at the Galaxy Z Fold 7 rumors. The upcoming foldable is reportedly based on the design and hinge mechanism of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which is not only slimmer but also launched quietly and remained exclusive to the home country.

Redmi K90 Pro/POCO F8 Ultra rumored to feature a periscope telephoto camera

Next gen Redmi and POCO flagship smartphones might be getting an upgrade in their camera technology. A new rumor has hinted at the upcoming Redmi K90 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra models featuring advanced camera technology for improved magnified shots. So here’s what we know so far.

Redmi K90 Pro & POCO F8 Ultra with new periscope telephoto lens

The Chinese tech giant’s upcoming Redmi K90 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra models were spotted on Weibo posts, which revealed that both models are getting better zoom cameras. The K90 Pro model is getting various upgrades that includes an ultrasonic under display fingerprint scanner and even a periscope telephoto shooter. The POCO F8 Ultra is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K90 Pro, so the new F8 Ultra could also offer this camera tech as well.

To recall, the Redmi K90 Pro launched with a 50MP telephoto shooter with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS support (Optical Image Stabilization). So the K90 Pro is likely bringing improved optical zoom. The leak basically talks about upcoming flagship smartphones from sub brands of Chinese OEMs. These next gen models might get the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC. While the exact name wasn’t revealed, these might be referring to the OnePlus 14, Realme GT 8 Pro, and the Redmi K90 series.

Digital Chat Station believes that the early engineering prototypes will reportedly come with periscope telephoto cameras as well (Via MySmartPrice). Offering a periscope telephoto shooter on the popular Redmi K series was only a matter of time considering how the more affordable Redmi Note 14 Pro+ also offers similar technology.

Samsung’s Lee meets Xiaomi CEO to discuss potential EV partnership

Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Y. Lee met with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun at Xiaomi’s Beijing EV factory this week, which is a significant development that could reshape the electric vehicle supply chain. This also marks the first official meeting between the tech giants in seven years and signals potential collaboration between the smartphone rivals in the booming EV sector.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

Xiaomi is aggressively expanding its electric vehicle ambitions

The Chinese tech giant sold 137,000 SU7 units in its debut year, generating $4.5 billion in revenue, with plans to scale production to 350,000 vehicles in 2025 before going global by 2027. This rapid expansion creates massive demand for components where Samsung’s ecosystem excels – including advanced batteries (Samsung SDI), automotive displays, AI chips, and infotainment systems (Harman International).

Industry analysts note the meeting likely progressed beyond preliminary discussions, given the venue choice and seniority of attendees. The companies already maintain a strong supplier relationship, with Xiaomi sourcing Samsung’s memory chips, NAND flash storage, and OLED displays for its smartphones. This existing partnership provides a natural foundation for EV collaboration.

The foray into the EV supply chain market could be beneficial for Samsung as well. The South Korean giant has been facing challenges in its core semiconductor business for a while. For instance, Samsung couldn’t prepare the Exynos 2300 and Exynos 2500 chips in time, and Google also switched back to TSMC for the fabrication of the Tensor G5.

So, diversifying into automotive supply chains could provide stability. Samsung’s affiliate companies collectively offer nearly 60% of the components needed for modern EVs, positioning the group as an ideal partner for Xiaomi’s ambitious production targets.

While neither company has confirmed specific collaboration terms, the high-profile meeting suggests formal announcements may follow soon. Such a partnership would represent a rare case of cooperation between smartphone market rivals. It underscores how the $800 billion EV market is creating unexpected alliances across the tech and automotive industries.

Design Details

The Moscow model features an intricate panoramic depiction of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, including the Spasskaya Tower and Saint Basil’s Cathedral. The Spasskaya Tower is adorned with a 24-karat gold coating and scarlet-colored garnets crafted using yttrium, a rare-earth metal mined in Russia’s Ural region. Adding to the exclusivity, a unique indium insert highlights the tower’s window. Saint Basil’s Cathedral is meticulously handcrafted with vibrant colored enamel, showcasing the architectural brilliance of old Moscow.

The phone’s body incorporates premium titanium with black PVD coating, laser-engraved with golden firework patterns that symbolize the celebratory Moscow sky. The side buttons are inlaid with 18K gold, adding to the luxury appeal. Caviar offers an optional mechanical watch integrated into the Spasskaya Tower for collectors seeking additional refinement. Only ten units of this Moscow edition will be made, ensuring it remains a truly exclusive masterpiece.

Alongside Moscow, the Horizon collection features several other city-inspired models. The London variant includes a gold miniature of Big Ben with an integrated mechanical watch. The Dubai edition highlights a three-dimensional gold panorama with the iconic Burj Khalifa. Other designs include Gibraltar with titanium engravings of the Barbary macaque, the Bahamas with gold-plated elderberry flowers, and Shanghai’s skyline crafted on a Huawei Mate X6 foldable phone.

Prices for Caviar’s Moscow edition start at $10,560 for the 128GB variant of the iPhone 16 Pro and go up to $12,060 for the 1TB variant of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, targeting those who seek not just a smartphone but a symbol of global elegance and craftsmanship.

Galaxy S24 series gets its last One UI 7 beta before the stable release

Galaxy S24 One UI 7 update

So the rumors were true. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is indeed getting the sixth One UI 7 beta update, and this could be the final one before the stable update arrives early next month.

The One UI 7 beta 6 update is rolling out to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra (the S24 FE is not part of the beta program). It comes with the firmware version ZYCE and brings several new features and bug fixes to enhance the overall software experience. Since the majority of changes and additions have already been implemented, the update size isn’t huge — it’s only around 1.25GB.

As noted by SamMobile, the changelog is the same as the third One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, which was released yesterday. This means we’re finally getting the Audio Eraser feature. This feature can identify up to six different types of sounds and lets you increase or decrease the volume of identified sounds in videos to enhance the audio experience. For example, you can lower or remove the voices of people chattering in the background and increase yours for better clarity.

The sixth One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S24 series also brings an improved version of Sketch to Image, with the ability to give specific instructions to Galaxy AI while generating an image. Additionally, the update introduces the ability to summarize call recordings into text summaries.

Furthermore, the update includes deeper integration of Google Gemini. You can now access it quickly by holding the side button. The update allows you to create stickers and images and summarize web pages. It also enhances the Settings app with natural language search integration, enabling users to find settings using everyday language. For example, searching “my eyes are feeling tired” in Settings will suggest options like adjusting brightness or enabling Eye Comfort Shield.

The beta update also improves the battery animations at the top and includes fixes related to widget overlapping, media controller UI elements, and routines.

Samsung is rolling out the One UI 7 beta 6 update for the Galaxy S24 series in multiple countries, including India, Korea, and Germany. If you have a Galaxy S24 running One UI 7 beta, you can install the latest update by going to Settings > Software update and tapping on Download and install.

This could be the final One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S24 series, as the stable rollout is only two weeks away. Past reports also indicate that the Galaxy S24 series would receive six beta updates. This means the next update could be the stable one.

iQOO Z10 Teased in Stellar Black Ahead of India Launch: Full Design Revealed

iQOO confirmed the launch of the iQOO Z10 in the Indian market last week. The upcoming smartphone is set to debut next month, but ahead of the April release, the Z10 surfaced in a fresh teaser. This confirmed one of its color options, so let’s check it out.

iQOO Z10 Teased in India

The Chinese smartphone maker just shared a teaser from its official X handle (formerly Twitter). Looking at the image poster, the iQOO Z10 is confirmed to launch in the Stellar Black color option, which has a matte finish as well. To recall, the device was previously spotted in another teaser, which confirmed the Glacier Silver color variant. The teaser poster showcases the full design of the iQOO Z10.

There is a large circular camera island that houses the image sensors and the LED flash module. The exact camera details are still at large but the camera module confirms support for OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) on the main sensor. In one of our previous reports, we covered another iQOO Z10 teaser that confirmed that the device will be powered by a humongous 7,300mAh battery pack.

In other words, it houses one of the largest batteries on a commercial smartphone. The brand plans to unveil this model in the Indian market on 11th April 2025. Based on another leak, the iQOO Z10 could sport a quad curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, it is expected to feature either the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The smartphone only measures 8.1mm in thickness despite its massive battery and possibly offers 90W wired fast charging.

iQOO Z10 series: What to expect from iQOO’s next mid-range lineup

iQOO is gearing up to launch its Z10 series in India and China. In fact, the company has already confirmed a launch date for standard Z10 in India i.e. April 11.

While India is expected to get just this model for now, the full lineup—including the Z10x, Z10, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro—could roll out in China soon. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect from each model.

1. iQOO Z10x

iQOO-Z9x-5G

The Z10x will be the most affordable entry in the lineup and will likely feature an LCD panel and a new MediaTek chipset.

It first appeared in certifications last October and later surfaced in BIS listings in January. But for now, details on its specs remain scarce.

Its predecessor featured a 6.72-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also packed a 50MP dual-camera system and a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. The Z10x will likely offer similar specs but could see some minor upgrades.

That said, this model might not launch alongside the rest of the lineup and could instead arrive later in Q3 2024.

iQOO Z10

The Z10 has already been confirmed for India, and teasers from iQOO have already confirmed some key specs. Including a massive 7,300mAh battery. That’s the largest battery on any phone in India right now.

And for comparison, its predecessor, the Z9, had a 5,000mAh battery. Despite the bump in battery size, the phone measures just 7.89mm thick.

Moreover, leaks suggest the Z10 will feature a 6.67-inch quad-curved AMOLED display (FHD+, 120Hz). Under the hood, it could pack either the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. The front will have a 32MP camera for selfies, while details on the rear camera setup is still under wraps.

2. iQOO Z10 Turbo

The Z10 Turbo is expected to launch in China in April with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400. The display is rumored to be a 6.78-inch LTPS panel with a 1.5K resolution.

Camera-wise, leaks suggest a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor at the back, with a 16MP front-facing camera. Powering the setup will be a 7,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.

Interestingly, a recent leak suggests iQOO might also launch the Z10 Turbo in India in April. The device could debut in configurations including 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It may come in Gold and Silver color options.

3. iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro

Sitting at the top of the lineup, the Z10 Turbo Pro will likely share some DNA with the Turbo but push performance further. It’s rumored to feature the same 6.78-inch 1.5K display but swap in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4—a step up from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 used in the Z9 Turbo.

It has surfaced on Geekbench with 12GB RAM and Android 15, while a 3C certification confirms 120W fast charging. Other expected features include a plastic mid-frame and an optical fingerprint scanner, keeping costs in check.

4. Final Thoughts

IQOO is clearly aiming to offer a mix of affordability, large batteries, and high-performance chips with the Z10 series. The iQOO Z10 and Z10 Turbo seem to be the most interesting options, particularly with their massive battery capacities and OLED displays.

Meanwhile, the Turbo Pro brings near-flagship performance, while the Z10x offers a budget-friendly alternative. Now that we have a confirmed launch date for at least one model, we won’t have to wait long to see how the iQOO Z10 series stacks up.
