The Honor Magic V3 is scheduled to launch on July 12. Ahead of the launch event, the company just held a technology conference in the home country sharing its latest exploration and innovation results in the thin and light foldable form factor with the outside world.
At the conference, Honor officially announced that it has developed the industry’s first 10% silicon content battery, which will be used to power the upcoming Honor Magic V3.
Honor Magic V3’s battery will be 4.4% thinner than the predecessor
The company revealed that the third generation of the silicon anode battery contains more than 10% silicon, which is happening for the first time in the industry. According to the company, the energy density is 5.74% higher than the previous generation. For those unfamiliar, energy density is a measure of how much energy a battery can store in a given amount of space or mass. It is a critical parameter in determining the performance of batteries, particularly in applications where size and weight are important.
So, in this case, the increase in energy density means the battery of a given capacity will occupy relatively less internal volume. So Honor has been able to make the phone even thinner without sacrificing the battery capacity. Reportedly, the battery is 4.4% thinner than the predecessor.
In addition to the high-density battery, Honor has also built the Honor E1 chip that optimizes power management. The chip reportedly maximizes energy efficiency to improve the battery life.
According to previous leaks and rumors, the Honor Magic V3 adopts a plain leather body. The camera module has also undergone tremendous changes. The phone is said to become both more capable and thinner than the Honor Magic V2, which was launched in July last year. For context, the Magic V2 is measured 9.9mm and 4.7mm thin while closed and opened respectively. The predecessor packs a 50MP main, 20MP 2.5x telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide on the back and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The second-generation silicon anode battery on this phone has a capacity of 5000mAh which supports 66W fast charging.
The upcoming device will likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and pack the same 5000 mAh battery capacity inside.

Tipster Ronald Quandt recently shared images of a TWS earphone and hinted that those are the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. However, now an image of the packaging box of the earphone has been spotted on Instagram confirming that the product is the standard Galaxy Buds 3. You can check out the image below.
The stem is expected to improve the call quality
It was previously rumored that the Galaxy Buds 3 series had ditched the bean-shaped design for a more familiar one with a stem. This is the first time we will be Galaxy Buds with a stem. As you can see from the image, the Galaxy Buds 3 comes in a white color with a black strip on the stem.
Hundreds of companies have released TWS earphones with similar designs in the past few years. Samsung is not only doing it for the first time with their product but is also the latest in adopting the stem design.
The black strip could be a touch-sensitive area of the earbuds, and its distinctive color might be intended to make it stand out from similar products. Nonetheless, the new design is described as “AirPods-like.”
The company’s bean-shaped earphones, since the launch of the Galaxy Buds+ in 2020, have had average microphone performance. This could improve with the new design, as the microphones will be positioned closer to the user’s mouth. In addition to a potential enhancement in call quality, the redesign is expected to provide the earbuds with more internal space. This could be used for a larger battery, a more powerful chipset, and additional sensors, leading to an overall improved user experience.
Another TWS earphone has surfaced online, along with its charging case. An image containing the earphone and a flip phone shows Samsung’s fast pairing system in action, where the feature notes the product to be the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. You can check out the images here.
Samsung will launch a bunch of new products at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 10. One of the products will be the Galaxy Buds 3 series earphones. However, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro‘s real-life images have already surfaced on the internet thanks to a new leak. Not to mention, the images have revealed the design of the new product ahead of its launch. You can check out the images below.
Despite adopting the stem design, the earbuds stands out in design
The images came from Reddit user Plastic_Development1. In one of the images, you will see that the earphone supports Samsung’s fast pairing functionality which notes the product as Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
The real-life images confirm that the previous rumor regarding the major design shift is true. The product now comes with a more familiar stem design. However, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro distinguishes itself in several ways. Firstly, the stem comes with a unique triangular shape. Secondly, the stem also has an LED light strip. However, it depends on the users whether they will like such LED strips in their earbuds or not.
Unlike the Galaxy Buds 3 which comes in white, the Pro model comes in a silver color and offers a more premium look. The charging case also includes two internal LEDs. Although the material of the outer surface of both the earbuds and their charging case is unknown, it looks like metal.
The Reddit user who posted the images has also shared his first-hand experience with the new product. He says that noise cancellation of the Buds 3 Pro is on par with the first-generation AirPods Pro. Reportedly the sound is a little higher on the bass.
Since the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is seen using Samsung’s fast pairing system, the company might forgo Google’s Fast Pair functionality for this device. However, it’s theoretically possible for both systems to work together. Supporting both fast pairing functions might cause conflicts on Samsung devices that can utilize both. We will have to wait until July 10 to see what Samsung has decided for this new product.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Design
Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Vivo X100 are both premium smartphones with curved displays and centered punch-hole selfie cameras. There are massive camera modules that consume a large portion of the back on both devices, though the Xiaomi phone has an additional sensor.
Both smartphones have an aluminium frame. The Rear panel on the Xiaomi device is vegan leather, whereas the Vivo phone has a glass back. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a titanium variant and the Vivo phone has a vegan leather variant, too, but those are exclusive to China.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone is slightly thicker and shorter but more lightweight than the Vivo X100 Pro. Both are IP68 certified for dust and water resistance, which is common among high-end phones.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Display
Xiaomi’s flagship phone has a 6.73-inch LTPO curved AMOLED screen with a 1440 x 3200-pixel resolution and dynamic refresh rate (1-120 Hz). The panel supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 68 billion colours, and 3000 nits of peak brightness. It’s protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass.
The Vivo X100 Pro features a slightly taller 6.78-inch screen. It’s an LTPO AMOLED panel with 1260 x 2800 pixels resolution and 120Hz variable refresh rate. The Vivo phone matches the peak brightness of Xiaomi 14 Ultra—3000 nits.
The main difference between the two screens is that Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s panel supports 68 billion colours (vs. 1 billion on Vivo X100 Pro). The Xiaomi phone also has more pixels per inch, resulting in sharper and crisper images. And both have a similar screen-to-body ratio.
Both smartphones have excellent screens. However, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s panel has more pixels and colours.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Performance
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 at the helm for all processing needs. It’s Qualcomm’s most powerful smartphone chip. Vivo X100 Pro, on the other hand, uses Dimensity 9300, MediaTek’s most powerful smartphone chip.
Both chips deliver great CPU and GPU performance. However, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has better gaming performance (check out Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 vs Dimensity 9300 for more details).
That doesn’t mean you can’t play high-end games on the Dimensity 9300-powered Vivo X100 Pro. It can smoothly handle demanding games like Genshin Impact but may get a little warmer with some frame drops compared to Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
If you aren’t a performance-heavy user, any of these two chips will work just fine.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Cameras
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has four sensors inside the giant camera module on the back. All four are 50MP sensors, while the Vivo X100 Pro has three 50MP sensors.
The 50MP primary camera on Xiaomi’s flagship is a 1-inch large sensor with OIS support and a variable focal aperture (f/1.63 – f/4.0). Additional cameras include a 50MP telephoto shooter (with OIS, 3.2x optical zoom, 10cm macro), 50MP periscope lens (with OIS, 5x optical zoom, 30cm macro), and a 50MP ultrawide lens (with 122-degree field-of-view, 5cm macro).
The Vivo X100 Pro’s camera module consists of a 50MP primary camera (with OIS support), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (with OIS, 4.3x optical zoom), and a 50MP ultrawide lens (with a 119-degree field of view).
Both smartphones have a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera. While Xiaomi 14 Ultra has Leica-optimized cameras, Vivo X100 Pro’s camera setup is optimized by ZEISS. Looking at the samples, we realized both take stunning images and videos with great detailing and colour accuracy.
The smartphones take good macro shots. Vivo’s colour science looks more natural than the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. However, Xiaomi nearly outperforms Vivo in wide-angle photography. Both phones do a very good job at a small zoom distance of up to 10X, but Xiaomi retains more details in long zoom shots.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Battery
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery, but the Chinese model comes with a 5,300 mAh battery. Vivo X100 Pro has a 5,400 mAh battery, no matter where in the world you purchase it.
Xiaomi’s flagship phone supports 90W wired charging. As per the brand, it only takes 33 minutes to fill up the battery. The device also supports 80W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Vivo X100 Pro supports 100W wired charging. According to the brand, it only takes 14 minutes to fill up the battery by 50%. The device also supports 50W wireless charging.
Although the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a slightly lesser battery capacity, it lasts as long as the Vivo X100 Pro, thanks to efficient Qualcomm chip and software optimizations. You can get up to 8-9 hours of screen time, although it varies depending on your usage.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Audio
As expected, both flagship phones have stereo speakers for a loud and rich audio experience. The Xiaomi phone supports Dolby Vision and a three-dimensional microphone setup. It also supports directional audio recording to achieve a studio-like recording.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Software
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra ships with Android 14 OS with HyperOS custom skin at the top. The Vivo X100 Pro also comes with Android 14 out of the box, but it has Funtouch OS 14 (for the international model) and OriginOS 4 (for the Chinese model).
Vivo has promised three years of Android updates and an extra year of security updates for the X100 Pro. Xiaomi 14 Ultra, on the other hand, will get four years of Android updates and five years of security patches. This means that Android 17 will be the final upgrade for the X100 Pro, but Xiaomi 14 Ultra will get the Android 18 upgrade as well.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Connectivity
Both smartphones have necessary connectivity features such as 5G/4G/3G/2G, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and GPS. However, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra supports USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, which has a faster data transfer rate than USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 in Vivo X100 Pro. The device also supports Wi-Fi 6E, which uses the 6GHz band to offer wider channels and less congestion.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro: Which One Should You Choose?
Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Vivo X100 Pro are impressive phones with high-end specifications. Both have great displays, chipsets, cameras, and connectivity features.
Choosing one of these two really boils down to your preferences. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is slightly thicker, lightweight, and has a smaller screen. The performance is comparable to the Vivo X100 Pro. However, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra does a better job at gaming.
The Vivo X100 Pro is slightly thinner and longer but weighs slightly more. It’s powered by a powerful Dimensity 9300 chip. Both smartphones have excellent camera capabilities and connectivity features. And the battery backup is largely similar, offering up to 9 hours of screen time. See which one checks more boxes and get one for yourself.

Lava launched the Blaze Curve with this chip back in March, and it is now returning on the Blaze X as well. The processor isn’t high-end but it is capable of handling your daily use. We also get a fair idea that the smartphone wouldn’t target the budget mid-range category with a sub 20,000 INR pricing.
The report adds that the chipset will be paired with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Lava previously confirmed the RAM variants, namely 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. The 6GB and 4GB RAM options are likely for the 128GB configuration while the 8GB variant is paired with the 256GB model. Another feature that is officially confirmed is support for virtual RAM expansion of up to 8GB. Launch for the new device is set for 10th July 2024 via Amazon India, although rumors indicate that offline availability will kick off sometime in August.
Our recent reports have covered some of its other hardware, which hints at the Blaze X being the cheapest G phone with a curved AMOLED display. Color options include a Dark Violet and a Gray model. First sale will go live along with the Amazon Prime Day Sale that is set for July 20. So stay tuned for more as we will be covering the launch.

Bharti Airtel, a leading Indian telecommunications company, is facing allegations of a data breach impacting a staggering 375 million users. The company, however, has vehemently denied these claims, calling them a “desperate attempt to tarnish Airtel’s reputation by vested interests.”
Dark Web Informer on X.com reported that an anonymous seller known as “xenZen” has made the data of 375 million Airtel subscribers available for sale on a hacker forum called BreachForums.
The data supposedly included sensitive details like names, family information, contact details, and even Aadhaar numbers, a unique 12-digit identification number assigned to Indian citizens.
Airtel responded swiftly to the allegations with a statement from a spokesperson, asserting, “There has been an ongoing report alleging that Airtel customer data has been compromised. This is nothing short of a desperate attempt to tarnish Airtel’s reputation by vested interests. We have done a thorough investigation and can confirm that there has been no breach whatsoever from Airtel systems.”
Unimpressively, xenZen also claimed responsibility for another recent data leak involving the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). This breach, identified in late June, reportedly exposed data from around 200,000 users registered on the MEA’s eMigrate portal. However, the authenticity of both these claims remains unverified.
While the truth behind these allegations is yet to be determined, it reminds us of the constant threat of cyberattacks. Here are some steps to protect your personal information:
Be cautious about the information you share online. Limit the amount of personal data you share on public platforms and websites.
Use strong and unique passwords for all your online accounts. Consider using a password manager to generate and store complex passwords.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) wherever possible. This adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second verification code in addition to your password when logging in.
Be wary of phishing attempts. Don’t click on suspicious links or attachments in emails or text messages, even if they appear to be from legitimate sources. pen_spark
By following these basic security practices, you can help safeguard your personal information and minimize the potential fallout from a data breach.

OnePlus ACE 3 Pro, the latest OnePlus device was launched last week. The new phone is another OnePlus’ mid-ranger (or flagship killer) powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As using the OnePlus-family design, it is easy to get confused with the OnePlus 12, both inside and out. After we’ve done some tests, it is found that the ACE 3 Pro actually is slightly different from the brother. It is a decent phone with great performance and, most interestingly, can last long live with a huge 6100mAh battery.
But I’m still pondering whether it’s worth buying or not, for example, for just a tiny bit more money you can buy the OnePlus 12 on GeekWills and get a better camera, screen, motor, and USB 3.2 etc.
Unbox
Like almost all OnePlus phones, the ACE 3 Pro comes in the same red packaging with an A to C cable, 100W charger, and a regular phone case. The 3 colors actually come with 3 different back cover materials this time, with the green vegan leather version being the lightest, and the white ceramic variant being special.
Design
Design for OnePlus phones never change, at least not for the first half of 2024. So the ACE 3 Pro looks almost the same as the OnePlus 12 at first glance, except for the varied cover materials. Similar camera module and slightly-curved screen. No matter how many rear cameras were set on the island, the four black holes are just so stubborn, like they’re making a statement that they exist because of some aesthetic principles.
But if you look closely, the camera design has changed quite a bit, it removes the bracket structure next to the camera, and puts the lines there instead. That’s probably all difference I can show here.
Personally, I’m not really a fan of the OnePlus-family design, but honestly I’m completely used to it (or I just gave up to judge). The design now is at least quite recognizable as a phone made by OnePlus – solid and consistent.
I got the green version – The bright color and pattern look so impressive. But I must admit that the green version of the OnePlus 12 is more refined. The ACE 3 Pro has a leather-like back cover with a pattern feels like wooden surface. When running the finger over the surface, it feels more like the leaf-vein texture.
The Ace 3 Pro comes with a metal frame, and the 3-stage button has been inherited. So we really are not going to pick on it in terms of texture. At the same time, it also has a high quality linear motor that provides a very fine vibration for various scenarios.
The Ace 3 Pro uses a curved 1.5K (FHD+) resolution screen, and if you only look at the front, it’s hard for me to tell it apart from the OnePlus 12. So in terms of holding experience, the Ace 3 Pro maintains the same high standards that OnePlus has been known for.
About more important features, we’ve also summarized some of the them we care about for you.
Performance
The Ace 3 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen3. No doubt it is easy to guarentee a excellent performance.
It performed even better than the OnePlus 12 in the Genshin Impact test. It runs the game at 60 fps almost the entire running, so I was very happy with the gaming experience.
On top of that for gaming, it has a custom resolution and frame interpolation feature. We’ve tried similar features before on other phones. And I was able to get a 120fps gaming experience. No exception for the ACE 3 Pro.
And OnePlus did more than that though, we all know that frame interpolation adds latency and you have to wait for two frames to be rendered out before you can do the calculations, which is dictated by the principle. This time the Ace 3 Pro has worked with Genshin Impact, optimizing the latency up at an undetectable level. In actual gaming I could barely feel the latency, which is absolutely great.
BUT since it requires a partnership with the game developers, this is currently only available in Genshin Impact. In other games with frame interpolation activated, the latency is no different from what we experienced on other phones.
And one thing to note here: If the phone’s temperature gets high with the frame interpolation on, the frame rate will drop from 120 to 90, which feels like some sort of throttling.
In addition to Genshin Impact, I also tried the newest and very popular Wuthering Waves, a game known for its poor efficiency, so it was more challenging than Genshin Impact.
I ran it on high graphic settings, but not the highest graphics, and the average frame rate was 57 fps with obvious fluctuation.
But due to the poor optimization done by the game developers, the actual gaming experience was not that smooth, but of course this is not this phone’s problem.
So, there’s no doubt that the Ace 3 Pro has an even better gaming experience than the OnePlus 12. The bigger battery also allows it to run games longer. As for other games with lower loading, that’s too easy for this phone.
Screen
The Ace 3 Pro uses a BOE 1.5k screen with LTPO support, a manual maximum brightness of 800nit, and a full screen peak brightness of 1600nit, which is slightly behind the OnePlus 12 on paper, but it’s still a very good screen. At least, it would be difficult to detect the gap.
In terms of dimming, DC-like dimming for medium and high brightness, 2160hz PWM dimming for low brightness.
Carmera
The Ace 3 Pro’s main Camera is the IMX890, an old but popular sensor you can find in the Ace 2. Well I mean, it’s popular among the brands.
The 8MP Ultra wide Camera and Macro Camera are not quite competent. You can take this phone as only having a MAIN Camera, the other two cameras are more of a decoration. The camera-island design seems to indicate the powerful camera setup. But unfortunately, on the ACE Series, which houses a mediocre setup, the camera module just looks a bit funny.
We shot some samples here. Anyway, the main camera is not bad and is perfectly fine for everyday shooting.
Battery & Charging
The biggest highlight of this phone is of course the big 6100mAh battery, which is not only thinner but also bigger thanks to the new materials. In real life use it is amazing and without a doubt the strongest battery performance of any regular Phone I’ve tested.
In addition to the large battery, the Ace 3 Pro also supports 100W fast charging, it only takes 38 minutes to fully charge this battery. gaming phones don’t even have this Crazy efficiency!
Verdict
So it is pretty obvious here, if you want a phone with great performance, a very big battery for long-lasting gaming and daily uses, and don’t care that much about the camera, then the Ace3 Pro is a great fit. But if you want a more balanced flagship, then the OnePlus 12 is now priced right. If you’re looking to buy either of these phones, Geekwills have you covered.
