The premium tablet market is becoming more competitive, with OnePlus pushing into high-end territory while Apple continues to dominate the professional segment. The OnePlus Pad 4 focuses on delivering a massive display, flagship Snapdragon performance, and huge battery life at a lower price. Meanwhile, the iPad Pro 11 (2025) offers Apple’s latest M5 chip, a premium OLED display, and deep integration with the Apple ecosystem. Here’s how they compare.

Design and Display

Build Quality

The OnePlus Pad 4 is built from aluminum with a glass front and feels every bit like a premium flagship tablet. However, its larger 13.2-inch form factor makes it noticeably bigger and heavier at 672g. It is designed more for desk use, productivity, and media consumption than for frequent handheld use.

Apple takes a different approach with the iPad Pro 11. Despite its premium aluminum construction, it remains incredibly thin at just 5.3mm and weighs only 444g. The compact size makes it easier to carry and more comfortable for extended handheld use. The availability of a cellular model with eSIM support also adds flexibility for professionals on the move.

Display & Multimedia

OnePlus counters with a huge 13.2-inch IPS LCD panel featuring a sharp 2400 × 3392 resolution, Dolby Vision support, and a fast 144Hz refresh rate. The larger canvas is excellent for multitasking, gaming, and video consumption, while the 8-speaker system delivers a more immersive audio experience.

Apple’s 11-inch Ultra Retina Tandem OLED display remains one of the best screens available on any tablet. It offers deeper blacks, superior HDR performance, up to 1600 nits peak brightness, and exceptional color accuracy. While the screen is smaller, the overall visual quality is clearly more premium.

Verdict

Users who prioritize screen size and cinematic entertainment will likely prefer the OnePlus Pad 4. However, Apple’s OLED panel, lighter design, and premium display technologies make the iPad Pro 11 the stronger overall display package.

Winner: iPad Pro 11 (2025)

Performance and Software

Processor & UI Smoothness

The OnePlus Pad 4 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with UFS 4.1 storage. Combined with OxygenOS 16 and Android 16, performance should be exceptional for gaming, multitasking, and demanding productivity workloads. The 144Hz display further enhances responsiveness throughout the interface.

Apple’s M5 chip operates on a different level. Derived from Apple’s desktop-class silicon, it delivers laptop-grade performance that few tablets can match. Whether editing 4K video, rendering graphics, or handling professional creative workloads, the M5 maintains a clear advantage. The higher-end variants with 16GB RAM further strengthen its position for power users.

Productivity & Multitasking

OnePlus has significantly improved multitasking features in OxygenOS, and the larger display naturally helps when working with multiple apps. Android’s flexibility also allows easier file management and customization.

The iPad Pro benefits from iPadOS 26, Stage Manager, and a mature ecosystem of professional applications. Creative professionals, designers, and video editors still have access to some of the most optimized tablet software available.

Verdict

The OnePlus Pad 4 delivers flagship Android performance and should satisfy nearly every user. However, Apple’s M5 chip and software ecosystem continue to set the benchmark for serious productivity and creative workloads.

Winner: iPad Pro 11 (2025)

Battery and Accessories

Battery Life

Battery capacity is one of the biggest strengths of the OnePlus Pad 4. Its massive 13,380mAh battery significantly exceeds the iPad Pro’s 8,160mAh cell and should provide excellent endurance for media consumption, gaming, and productivity sessions. The inclusion of 80W wired charging is another major advantage, allowing quick top-ups when needed.

Apple relies more on efficiency than battery size. Thanks to the M5 chipset and iPadOS optimization, battery life remains strong despite the smaller capacity. For most users, a full day of productivity is realistic, but charging speeds are noticeably slower.

Stylus, Keyboard & Ecosystem

Both tablets support stylus input and keyboard accessories. OnePlus continues improving its accessory lineup, offering a capable productivity experience for Android users.

Apple’s ecosystem remains the gold standard. Features such as seamless integration with Macs, iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Pencil create a workflow that is difficult for competitors to replicate. Professionals already invested in Apple’s ecosystem gain substantial benefits.

Verdict

The OnePlus Pad 4 wins on battery capacity and charging speed, making it the more practical choice for heavy daily use. Apple retains the ecosystem advantage, but pure battery value clearly favors OnePlus.

Winner: OnePlus Pad 4

Camera & Media

Rear and Front Camera

Tablet cameras are rarely a primary selling point, but Apple still delivers a stronger setup. The iPad Pro features a 12MP rear camera with dual-pixel PDAF and a LiDAR scanner, enabling better focus performance and advanced AR experiences. The 12MP ultrawide front camera also provides superior quality for video calls and content creation.

The OnePlus Pad 4 includes a basic 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. They are perfectly adequate for scanning documents, online meetings, and occasional photography, but they do not target professional use.

Video & Audio Quality

Apple supports ProRes recording, multiple frame-rate options, HDR video capture, and advanced stabilization features. Content creators benefit from a much more versatile camera system.

OnePlus responds with an impressive 8-speaker setup that delivers richer and more immersive sound than many competing tablets. Movie watchers and gamers may appreciate this advantage more than camera upgrades.

Verdict

Apple provides better cameras, stronger video capabilities, and more advanced imaging features. OnePlus wins on speaker count, but the overall media creation experience still belongs to the iPad Pro.

Winner: iPad Pro 11 (2025)

Pricing

The OnePlus Pad 4 starts at approximately $700 (₹60,000), while the iPad Pro 11 (2025) starts around $1,000 (₹100,000).

This creates a substantial price gap of roughly $300 (₹40,000). For many buyers, the OnePlus delivers flagship-level performance, a larger display, faster charging, and significantly better battery capacity while costing much less. The value proposition is difficult to ignore.

Apple justifies its premium through the M5 chip, OLED display technology, professional software ecosystem, superior cameras, and tighter hardware-software integration. However, not every user will fully utilize those advantages.

Verdict

For value-focused buyers, the OnePlus Pad 4 offers considerably more hardware per dollar. Apple remains the premium choice, but OnePlus delivers the stronger price-to-performance ratio.

Winner: OnePlus Pad 4

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, launch timing, and applicable taxes. Always check whether the listed price is for a China unit or a global/international variant when purchasing.

Conclusion

The OnePlus Pad 4 stands out with its massive 13.2-inch display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, huge 13,380mAh battery, 80W fast charging, and immersive 8-speaker system. It is clearly designed for users who want maximum hardware value and entertainment capabilities.

The iPad Pro 11 (2025) distinguishes itself through the Apple M5 processor, Ultra Retina Tandem OLED display, professional-grade software ecosystem, advanced cameras, Thunderbolt connectivity, and exceptional portability. It remains one of the most capable tablets available for creative and professional work.

Verdict

If the goal is getting the most hardware and battery life for the money, the OnePlus Pad 4 is the smarter purchase. Its larger display, faster charging, and lower price make it incredibly appealing.

For professionals, creators, and users deeply invested in Apple’s ecosystem, the iPad Pro 11 (2025) remains the most complete premium tablet experience despite its higher cost.

Overall Winner: OnePlus Pad 4 for Value
iPad Pro 11 (2025) for Ultimate Performance and Professional Use

Disclaimer: This comparison is based on the specifications provided and is intended for general informational purposes. Actual performance, camera results, battery life, and overall experience may vary depending on real-world usage, software updates, and individual preferences.

Acer Iconia Duo S14: The Flagship Model

Leading the lineup is the Acer Iconia Duo S14, which comes with a large 14.2-inch OLED display featuring a 2880 × 1840 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, offers a 3:2 aspect ratio, and reaches up to 400 nits of brightness.

The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor and is available with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Acer has equipped it with a 10,000mAh battery, making it the largest battery in the series.

Acer Iconia Duo D12: Affordable Option for Everyday Use

How the Three Acer Tablets Compare

While all three models share large displays and modern connectivity features, Acer has clearly positioned them for different audiences.

The Iconia Duo S14 is designed for users who want the best display, strongest performance, and longest battery life. The combination of a 14.2-inch OLED panel and Dimensity 8300 chipset makes it the most capable device in the lineup.

The Iconia Duo S12 offers a balance between premium features and portability. It delivers an OLED display and a modern Dimensity processor while remaining lighter and easier to carry.

Meanwhile, the Iconia Duo D12 focuses on affordability. Although it drops OLED technology and uses a less powerful processor, it still provides a large display, 90Hz refresh rate, and long battery life for everyday tasks.

Which Acer Tablet Should You Buy?

If performance and multitasking are priorities, the Iconia Duo S14 is the obvious choice thanks to its larger OLED display, Dimensity 8300 processor, and 10,000mAh battery.

For most users, however, the Iconia Duo S12 may be the sweet spot. It retains many premium features while offering a more manageable size and weight.

The Iconia Duo D12 is best suited for students, casual users, and those looking for a large-screen tablet without spending extra on flagship-level specifications.

Acer Iconia Duo Series:

Pricing and Availability

Acer has introduced the new Iconia Duo tablet series in China. Pricing details may vary by configuration and region. Buyers in global markets should note that imported pricing can be significantly higher than official Chinese pricing due to taxes, duties, shipping costs, and retailer markups.

Key Differences at a Glance

Feature

Redmi Pad 2 Pro

Honor Pad GT2 Pro

Major Difference / Advantage

Weight & Build

610 g, aluminum frame & back, optional matte glass

532 g, slimmer design

Honor is lighter and more portable

Display

12.1″ IPS LCD, 1600×2560, 120Hz, Dolby Vision

12.5″ IPS LCD, 3048×2032, 165Hz, HDR

Honor has higher resolution, faster refresh, and thinner bezels

Processor & GPU

Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, Adreno 810

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Adreno 750

Honor delivers flagship-level performance

RAM & Storage

6-8GB RAM, 128-256GB, expandable via microSD

8-16GB RAM, 128-512GB, no microSD

Honor offers more RAM and higher internal storage

Battery & Charging

12,000 mAh, 33W wired, 27W reverse wired

10,100 mAh, 66W wired

Redmi has bigger battery, Honor charges faster

Stylus Support

Magnetic stylus

Honor Pencil 3, 15ms latency

Honor’s stylus is more precise and responsive

Speakers & Audio

4 speakers, Dolby Atmos

8 speakers, IMAX Enhanced, Hi-Res audio

Honor provides superior audio experience

Camera

8MP rear & front

13MP rear, 8MP front

Honor has better rear camera

Ports & Extras

USB-C 2.0, 3.5mm jack, microSD

USB-C, magnetic connector, no headphone jack

Redmi has headphone jack and expandable storage

Price (approx.)

$300

$350

Redmi is more budget-friendly

Design and Build

Both tablets offer premium materials, but their focus differs. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro has an aluminum frame and matte glass option, giving it a solid and durable build. It feels more rugged and stable in hand, ideal for long-term use. The Honor Pad GT2 Pro is thinner and lighter, which makes it easier to carry and hold during long study or work sessions. The slimmer bezels on Honor provide a more modern look, while Redmi’s design offers a slightly better grip.

Neither has an IP rating, but Redmi’s scratch-resistant coating adds extra protection.

Verdict: Honor wins for portability and elegance, while Redmi suits those who prioritize durability. Honor edges ahead overall in design.

Display

Redmi’s 12.1-inch IPS LCD with Dolby Vision and 120Hz refresh rate provides a bright and smooth experience. Honor raises the bar with a 12.5-inch higher-resolution display, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 165Hz refresh rate. This means crisper visuals, smoother animations, and more workspace for multitasking. Stylus support is available on both, but Honor’s lower latency makes it better for writing and drawing.

Redmi’s display is impressive for its price, but Honor delivers a more immersive and premium viewing experience.

Verdict: Honor clearly offers the better display for productivity, creativity, and entertainment.

Performance

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro runs on Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, capable of handling daily tasks smoothly. Honor’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, however, delivers flagship-level power, making it ideal for gaming, creative work, and demanding multitasking. With more RAM options, Honor handles heavier workloads effortlessly. Redmi offers expandable storage, which adds flexibility for budget users.

While Redmi performs well for casual use, Honor provides far superior speed, efficiency, and future-proofing.

Verdict: Honor wins decisively in performance, especially for power users.

Software and Ecosystem

Both tablets run on Android 15, but the experience differs. Redmi’s HyperOS 2 is clean and lightweight, perfect for users who want simplicity. Honor’s MagicOS 9 adds multitasking tools, floating windows, and strong ecosystem integration with other Honor devices. App support is excellent on both, but Honor’s ecosystem is more seamless for productivity.

Redmi gives a straightforward Android experience, while Honor feels more polished for multitasking.

Verdict: Honor takes the lead with its richer ecosystem and productivity-focused software.

Battery and Charging

Redmi packs a larger 12,000 mAh battery that offers excellent endurance for media and browsing. It also supports reverse wired charging, adding utility. Honor’s 10,100 mAh battery is smaller but charges much faster at 66W, reducing downtime. Redmi lasts longer, while Honor recharges in less time.

The choice depends on whether endurance or quick charging matters more.

Verdict: Redmi wins for battery life, while Honor wins for charging speed. Overall edge: Redmi.

Camera and Audio

Honor offers a 13MP rear camera compared to Redmi’s 8MP, giving it slightly better image quality for scans or quick shots. Both front cameras are 8MP, suitable for video calls. In audio, Honor’s eight speakers deliver louder, richer, and more immersive sound than Redmi’s four-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos.

Redmi performs well for casual use, but Honor is better for entertainment and media.

Verdict: Honor wins in both camera and audio performance.

Productivity and Accessories

Both tablets support stylus input, but Honor’s Pencil 3 has lower latency and feels more natural for drawing and note-taking. Keyboard support is stronger on Honor, enhancing its laptop-like capabilities. Redmi’s headphone jack adds versatility, while Honor relies on USB-C. Honor’s stronger chipset also ensures smoother external monitor use.

Redmi is good for light productivity, but Honor is clearly more suited to professional or creative workflows.

Verdict: Honor offers better accessory support and overall productivity features.

Connectivity

Redmi supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, which are reliable for most users. Honor steps ahead with Wi-Fi 7, offering faster speeds and greater stability, which benefits heavy online users. Both lack cellular support and GPS. Honor also supports advanced Bluetooth audio codecs for better wireless sound.

Redmi is solid for everyday use, but Honor’s connectivity is more future-ready.

Verdict: Honor wins for its faster Wi-Fi and better Bluetooth support.

Pricing and Value

Redmi’s lower price makes it an excellent deal for students and casual users who want strong battery life, solid performance, and good build quality. Honor costs slightly more but delivers a superior display, performance, audio, and productivity tools. It gives more value for those who need flagship-level capabilities.

Redmi appeals to budget-conscious users, while Honor targets power users seeking more advanced features.

Verdict: Redmi wins on pure affordability, but Honor offers better value for advanced users.

Conclusion

Redmi Pad 2 Pro focuses on durability, battery endurance, and affordability, making it perfect for students, casual streamers, and basic work. Honor Pad GT2 Pro pushes ahead with flagship performance, premium display, superior audio, and better accessory support, making it ideal for professionals, creators, and power users.

Verdict: For budget buyers, Redmi is the smarter pick. For anyone seeking a premium, powerful tablet experience, Honor is the clear winner overall.

Android, despite being the world’s most popular operating system and being used by hundreds of different manufacturers, has quite a few chronic problems. The biggest reason for this is the manufacturers creating devices of different types and features. Unfortunately, this situation makes it difficult for both Google and app developers. However, we also sometimes see issues that could be easily solved but aren’t. Thankfully, Google has taken the first step to solve one of these problems. The company plans to improve how apps work on larger screens like tablets and foldable phones. Here are the details…

Google Warns Users About Apps That Don’t Work Well on Large Screens

Even though Android smartphone users don’t generally face significant issues running applications despite the diversity of models and manufacturers, things change when it comes to tablets and new technologies like foldable phones. Many apps weren’t designed to work well on large screens, leading to a subpar user experience. For instance, an app might fail to utilize the extra screen space or the controls might be too small to use comfortably. This could make it hard for people to use the app, or even stop them from using it at all. Thankfully, all these issues are becoming less of a problem.

In simple terms, Google is saying, “If you make your app great for big screens, we’ll make it easier for people to find your app in our Play Store.” Apps that follow Google’s guidelines for big screens will now show up higher in search results. Starting in August, apps that can adjust their size, fill the whole screen, and work well in both upright and sideways views will be more visible.

Google is also planning to show pictures of what the app looks like on different devices. This way, if you’re considering downloading an app, you’ll know what it’s going to look like on your tablet or foldable phone. The Play Store will also warn you if an app doesn’t work well on big screens. At first, it will warn about apps that crash or don’t run well. But the company is also looking at other ways to let users know if an app isn’t designed well for big screens.

This is great news for people who use devices like the Pixel Fold or recently introduced Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. By making these changes, Google is showing that they care about making sure all apps work well on all devices and that they support new technologies.

The dedicated mode brings together all the fun things for kids such as books, games, and videos to one place. Now, it has announced Entertainment Space which can be simply described as Kids Space for older members of the family.

Entertainment Space brings together your books, movies, shows from streaming services, recommended YouTube videos, and games. There are three tabs which are listed below:

Watch Tab – this has movies, TV shows, and YouTube videos. Users will be able to find what to watch, rent or buy movies from Google TV, and resume movies and shows they were watching. If you don’t know what to watch, Google says there is a recommendation row that curates content from google TV, Twitch, Hulu, and several other services.

Games Tab – you will find your favorite games here. This tab also has new games for you to discover, some of which support instant play so you can play them right away without the need to download them.

Read Tab – this tab is for book lovers and it brings together all of your books including audiobooks. Google mentions free previews for some books before you commit to buying them. There is also a recommendation row based on current trends as well as discounted books.

We guess it is to prevent next week’s product launch from being too crowded. Today, it announced the Galaxy Tab S5e and the Galaxy Tab A (2019) which are pretty interesting devices.

Galaxy Tab S5e

Don’t be fooled by the name, the Galaxy Tab S5e isn’t as powerful as the Galaxy Tab S4 which is currently Samsung’s most powerful tablet at the moment but it does pack some punch too. And of course, the name hints at the arrival of the Galaxy Tab S5 in the future.

The tablet has an aluminum body and comes in black, gold, and silver. It measures 245 x 160 x 5.5 mm and weighs 400g making it Samsung’s lightest and slimmest tablet till date. However, that slim profile means the audio jack gets to go.

The Galaxy Tab S5e has a 10.5-inch 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED display with slim bezels. It is powered by a Snapdragon 670 processor with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of expandable storage (512GB max.).

It has a 13MP primary camera on its back and an 8MP selfie camera. There is Dolby Atmos which is integrated with AKG-tuned quad speakers. Samsung says the speakers have auto rotate stereo technology that automatically determines if you are holding the tablet in portrait or landscape mode.

The Tab S5e runs Android 9 Pie out of the box with One UI on top. There is Bixby 2.0 so you can use it as a hub to control your smart home devices. It packs a 7,040mAh battery with support for fast charging via a USB type-c port. The tablet comes with Spotify and a free three months premium subscription for new members. There is no audio jack but there is a Type-C connector in the box. A fingerprint scanner is buried under the power button and there is also support for face unlock.

Samsung says the Galaxy Tab S5e will launch in the second quarter of the year with a starting price of $400 in the US. There will be LTE and Wi-Fi only variants priced at €479 and €419 respectively with availability scheduled for April 5 in Germany. Samsung says pre-orders will begin March 14 and run through April 4 with a free pair of AKG Headphones Y500 included. It will also be available via carriers later in the year.

The tablet will have an optional keyboard sleeve that connects via pogo pins if you need to use it for some light work. It also has Samsung DeX in case you want to use it as a desktop PC. We think it would have been really nice if the Galaxy Tab S5e shipped with an S Pen.

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 ( 2019)

The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) also launched today, in Germany. It is much cheaper than the Galaxy Tab S5e and also comes with less powerful specs. It has a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS LCD display surrounded by much thicker bezels. There is an Exynos 7904 under the metal housing and it is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage (400GB max.).

This isn’t surprising since Nokia was once the king of the smartphone market. However, the last decade wasn’t too good for the company, with losses increasing and its decision to stick with Microsoft’s Windows platform leading to its ultimate demise. We’ve all dreamed about an Android based Nokia smartphone in the past, with Finnish company’s solid hardware and design and Google’s open source platform. While we haven’t really seen a real Nokia based Android smartphone in the past, this is soon going to change.

After the establishment of the new ‘Nokia Technologies’ company, we have heard multiple times that it wasn’t going to enter the smartphone market directly. There wasn’t much information in the past about its plans for this market, but now, things have become a lot clearer.

We are definitely going to see Nokia Android smartphones in the coming months.

Nokia Technologies revealed today that it has given exclusive global license to HMD Global, a startup company based out of its own home country of Finland. This means that HMD Global can now manufacture smartphones as well as tablets bearing the Nokia brand name. In return, Nokia Technologies gets royalty for using its name. The company also has conditionally agreed to acquire rights to use the Nokia name from Microsoft.

nokia android concept image

At the same time, Microsoft is selling its feature phone business to FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Foxconn for $350 million. The deal is expected to close by the second half of 2016. And guess what, FIH and HMD Global have entered into a collaborative deal which gives full operational control of sales, marketing and distribution of Nokia branded smartphones globally.

So, it looks like finally things have come together to revive Nokia’s smartphone business. The company also confirms that Nokia smartphones and tablets will be based on Android, which is what we wanted from the start.

In case you are wondering, Nokia Technologies will have a seat on the board of HMD Global to ensure that the quality and reputation of Nokia’s name is maintained. Given that HMD Global is founded by ex-Nokia employees, we can expect great design on the upcoming Nokia branded smartphones. The company also confirmed that ex-Nokia executive and current head of Microsoft’s Mobile Division Business for Greater Asia, Middle East and Africa, Arto Nummela will be the CEO of HMD.
