Finally, the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Tab S10 series users can now participate in the One UI 7 beta program and get early access to the latest features ahead of the public rollout. This has been a really long waiting period, which finally comes to an end.

Samsung is rolling out the One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra users in India, Korea, the UK, and the US. So, the update has reached all intended regions. It comes with the One UI build version ending with ZYC3. It’s a pretty big upgrade with a download size of around 4.7GB.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Tab S10 Ultra are also getting access to the One UI 7 beta program. The beta update has been spotted in Korea. However, it might be rolling out in other eligible countries as well. The One UI build version for the first One UI 7 beta update ends with ZYC2. Since it’s a significant upgrade, you’ll need to download a massive update package that weighs over 4GB in size.

The first Android 15-based One UI 7 beta update for Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Tab S10 Plus, and Tab S10 Ultra brings One UI 7 goodies, as well as the March 2025 security patch. It also includes many Android 15 features coming directly from Google.

To install the One UI 7 beta update on your Samsung Galaxy device, you must register for the beta program first. Before that, ensure you have a device that’s eligible for the One UI 7 beta program and that you’re in a country where the beta program is available (eligible countries include India, Korea, the US, and the UK). The next step is to enroll in the One UI 7 beta program via the Samsung Members app. Then, go to Settings > Software update and tap Download and install to get the One UI 7 beta update.

The One UI 7 beta expansion to older Galaxy devices is going according to the plan. Earlier this month, Samsung revealed that One UI 7 beta will reach more devices, starting with Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 (beta update already rolled out), and then it will reach Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series, and Galaxy A55 in March. So, as promised, the Galaxy S23 and Tab S10 series are getting the One UI 7 beta update. Galaxy A55 will, too, join the party in the coming days.

The beta rollout is picking up; however, the stable rollout is still a month away. Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 7 stable rollout will begin in April. Samsung Vietnam recent shared a video teaser on its official YouTube channel that referred to the Galaxy Unpacked event in September 2024. In this video, a smartphone with a triple camera setup on the rear, metal frame, and rounded corners can be seen. The teaser confirms that it will feature Galaxy Ai, so it is likely the Galaxy S24 FE. Pre-registrations for this model are already live in Vietnam.

At the end of the video, we can see this smartphone alongside the date 26th September 2024. Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra with the Galaxy S24 FE. So the new phone and tablets likely have a global launch date for next week. It is worth noting that this date is also in line with some of our previous reports as well.

Samsung‘s upcoming flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10, is generating plenty of buzz. While we’re expecting a usual hardware refresh for the tablets, a new detail has surfaced that suggests Samsung might be taking inspiration from a competitor – Microsoft.

According to a report by WinFuture, Samsung may add a dedicated “Galaxy AI key” to the Tab S10’s keyboard accessory, possibly drawing from Microsoft’s Copilot+ PCs, which feature a similar AI button.

WinFuture also shared a mockup (not an official image) showing the Galaxy AI key replacing the right Ctrl button on the keyboard. However, it’s still unclear what this button will do — whether it will activate the entire Galaxy AI feature suite or focus on a specific one.

The report suggests that many of the new features coming to Galaxy devices with One UI 6.1.1 will also be available on the Tab S10. A dedicated button would certainly make these features more accessible to users.

While the AI key is a fresh addition, the Tab S10’s overall design likely won’t see major changes. Leaks suggest that Samsung will stick with its familiar style, including a vertical dual-camera setup on the back and a notched display with a selfie camera on the Ultra model.

As for pricing, the Ultra and Plus versions of the Tab S10 are unlikely to be budget-friendly. The Tab S10 Plus is rumored to start at around $1,400 and can go as high as $1685 for the 5G variant. 

The Ultra model, on the other hand, is rumored to be priced $1660 for the base 12/512GB variant while the top–tier model with 5G support will go as high as $2350. 

While it’s still not confirmed, the Galaxy Tab S10 series is expected to launch sometime in October.

The latter was listed carrying the SM-S721B/DS model number on both certifications, with the MTC also featuring the phone’s renders. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE’s design is in line with our previous reports, with a triple camera setup on the rear.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S10+ was spotted on NBTC with the SM-X820 model number. While these certifications do not reveal any finer details like specs of the new products, they do confirm that their launch is right around the corner. Just recently, the Galaxy S24 FE also visited the FCC, Bluetooth SIG, and BIS platforms. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S10+ was spotted on FCC, the official UK support page, and 3C.

All of these revealed some specs and features for the S24 FE and the Tab S10+. Based on what we know so far, the upcoming smartphone arrives with an Exynos 2400e processor, packs a 4,565mAh battery pack, and supports 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S10+ is expected to come with 45W wired fast charging, Dimensity 9300+ SoC, and a Silver color option. Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ visits TDRA and UL Demko

The South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy Tab S10+ just surfaced on UAE’s TDRA and UL Demco. For those unaware, the Tab S10+ is an upcoming premium tablet and directly succeeds the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup. The TDRA listed the SM-X820 for the WiFi only variant and the SM-X826B model number for the 5G version. There is also a third model, which is the SM-X826N. This is likely the model that would ship in the South Korean market.

The Galaxy Tab S10+ even surfaced on the UL Demko certification, which confirmed support for 45W wired fast charging. Its charging speed is in line with our previous report of the high-end tablets featuring the same charging tech as the brand’s flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone. Even the official Samsung UK support page for the Galaxy Tab S10+ recently went live. The new lineup was spotted on the FCC database last week.

Back in August, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and the S10+ surfaced in a leak that revealed its promo images, offering us a look at its design. The Galaxy Tab S10+ can be seen in a Silver color option with two cameras at the back. Samsung is making a big change with the new premium tablets, skipping the base Galaxy Tab S10 entirely. Based on what we know so far, Samsung is moving to MediaTek chipset for these new tablets. The lineup is expected to be equipped with the Dimensity 9300+ SoC. While it is still unclear, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra may pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

91mobiles spotted both the WiFi and cellular connectivity variants of the Galaxy Tab S10+ and the Wi-Fi model of the Tab S10 Ultra on the FCC database. According to the listing, the cellular connectivity and WiFi versions of the Tab S10+ have model numbers SM-X820 and SM-X820U respectively. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra comes with model number SM-X920.

The S Pen turns out to be the same one used with the Tab S9 series

According to the listing, both the Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra support the S Pen functionality. The model number of the S Pen (EJ-PX710) indicates that it’s the same one used with the Tab S9 series. The listing also reveals that the Tab S10+ will support 45W charging, like the predecessor.

Apart from this, the FCC listing does not reveal much about the upcoming tablets. However, we have already come across several rumors and other certification listings that give us a rough idea of what to expect.

According to the previously leaked promo images, both the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra will come with a dual camera setup on the back, which is also in line with the past few generations. Both the Plus and Ultra models of the Tab S9 series pack 13 MP main and 8 MP ultrawide on the back, which was an upgrade from the 6 MP ultrawide in its predecessors. Samsung has been using the 13 MP main camera for a long time.

Even with MediaTek, we don’t think there would be a noticeable difference in terms of user experience. The Dimensity 9300+ is a highly capable chipset and can handle tasks with ease, just like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Moreover, the 3C certification of the Tab S10 Plus and S10 Ultra reveal 45W fast charging support. 

Additionally, the Tab S9s has S Pen support, so it’s likely the new tablets will include it as well. It’s also worth noting that the Galaxy Tab S9 series introduced OLED screens across the entire lineup. Therefore, it makes sense that the Tab S10 series would continue this trend.

When the Galaxy Tab S10 series might launch?

Traditionally, Samsung has unveiled its flagship tablets alongside other marquee devices. The Galaxy Tab S9 series arrived in July 2023 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, while the Galaxy Tab S8 series debuted concurrently with the Galaxy S22 lineup in February 2022. 

So this year, we were expecting the Galaxy Tab S10 series at the July 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event where Samsung unveiled their latest foldables, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The tablets didn’t make an appearance, though. So its to anyone guess when the tablets may arrive now.

That said, industry insider Max Jambor recently suggested on X (formerly Twitter) that the Tab S10 series might launch in October. If nothing else, we now have a tentative timeframe to look forward to.

The Allure of the S9

Now, let’s take a look at the Galaxy Tab S9 series. It has three models to choose from — the Tab S9, S9 Plus, and S9 Ultra. All three devices have Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with 120Hz and HDR 10+ certification.

Powering them is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip while all the devices support 45W charging. Other specs of the tablets like IP68 rating, Stylus support, and almium frames remain the same across the models. 

However, the differences in size among the models lead to some noticeable differences. For instance, the standard model has an 8,400mAh battery, while the Plus model boasts a 10,090mAh cell, and the top-tier Ultra model is equipped with a substantial 11,200mAh battery.

Moving on, the Tab S9 has a 12MP camera on the rear, while the S9 Plus and S9 Ultra add an 8MP ultra-wide lens to the setup. The S9 Ultra also includes an additional 12MP ultra-wide front-facing camera for selfies, alongside the standard 12MP front camera found on all models.

With these specifications, the current S9 series remains a strong option for users. From a durable build, and vibrant display, to reliable performance, the Tab S9 series covers most of what you’d need. Additionally, retailers are likely to offer discounts on the S9 lineup as the S10 approaches launch. So you might get an overall better deal on them.

Verdict

Ultimately, the decision to wait for the S10 depends on your personal needs. But we say wait for the Tab S10 series only if you want the very best that Samsung will offer or if you prefer to make a more informed decision by comparing the S9 series with its successor once it’s officially launched.

However, if you need a flagship tablet now, any of the Tab S9 models will serve you well for the next 2-3 years. As mentioned earlier, you might also find them at a discount, making them an even better deal.

Now, the Chinese certification backs this up since only the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra surfaced online. The former carries the SM-X820 model number, while the Tab S10 Ultra has the SM-X926C model number.

No upgrades over the last gen?

China’s 3C certification database confirms that both tablets will arrive with support for 45W wired fast charging (10V and 4.5A). If this is true, Samsung isn’t bringing any upgrade to the charging over the previous generation (the Galaxy Tab S9 series). The 45W standard can also be found in the South Korean tech giant’s current flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The decision to drop the smallest variant could be aimed at offering better specifications and competing with Apple’s offerings.

What to expect?

Samsung generally offers good quality AMOLED panels, and good design and powers it with a flagship snapdragon chipset. The upcoming tablets are also expected to come with some Galaxy AI features. While rumors and a Geekbench listing have hinted that Samsung will use the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset to power the Tab S10 series, we can still refer to the other aspects of the predecessor to get an idea of what to expect.

Both the Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra come with an aluminum frame and back, which supports nano SIM, and eSIM. Both of them pack Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels measured at 12.4″ and 14.6″ respectively and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. The Tab S9+ offers 256GB 12GB RAM, and 512GB 12GB RAM configurations while the Ultra model comes with additional 1TB 12GB RAM and 1TB 16GB RAM variants.

Speaking of cameras, both of them pack a 13MP main and an 8MP ultrawide on the back alongside a 12MP one on the front for video calling. The tablets support Wireless Samsung DeX through the USB C 3.2 port. The Plus and Ultra models come with 10090mAh and 11200mAh batteries and supports 45W wired charging. Samsung is reportedly going to experiment with its lineup of flagship tablets. The Galaxy Tab S10 series will reportedly come in only two versions – Plus and Ultra. The lineup is focused on competing with iPads. According to a recently released report from market research firm Canalys, Samsung is the second largest tablet maker in the US.

However, the company’s market share is significantly lower as compared to Apple‘s in the region. The decision to position the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus as the base model may aim to provide more capable devices and effectively compete with Apple’s latest offerings, while not focusing primarily on pricing.

The news comes from the Korean platform Naver. The source also claims that the Galaxy Tab S10 series is going to be a direct competitor of the Apple iPad, which was recently released with an OLED display. The report also notes that the new flagship tablets from Samsung could be released “as early as the second half of this year”.

Samsung is expected to begin the mass production of the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Ultra starting this month.

The company has been releasing three models starting with the Galaxy Tab S8 series, which was introduced in 2022. The Tab S7 series mainly comes in two different models – the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus. The report claims that Samsung might choose a 12+” AMOLED panel for the Plus model to compete with the latest 11″ and 13″ iPad Pro models.

Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy S24 FE smartphone wasn’t the only Samsung device to be spotted on Geekbench today. The upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 Plus has also been listed on the benchmarking platform. 

Listed with the model number SM-X828U, the tablet matches the entry in the IMEI database confirming it’s the Tab S10 Plus. The “U” at the end indicates it’s a US variant, while there are other variants of the tablet carrying the model number SM-X826B and SM-X826N which correspond to Global, and South Korean versions, respectively.

Interestingly, the tablet was listed with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor on Geekbench. Samsung has long-favored Qualcomm’s high-end chipsets for its Tab S series, but this time the company seems to be switching to MediaTek for the Galaxy Tab S10 series.

The Dimensity 9300+ is an octa-core chipset with a powerful configuration consisting of one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores running at 2.85GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores with a speed of 2.0GHz. Graphics are likely handled by a Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 GPU.

This setup earned the tablet 2,141 points in single-core tests and 6,952 points in multi-core tests. It also has 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 14 out of the box.

While the switch to MediaTek is notable, a report last month did suggest Samsung might adopt a dual-chip strategy for its tablets, similar to the Galaxy S series phones. But it was supposed to be Qualcomm and Exynos and not MediaTek.

Since the tablet has now appeared with Dimensity 9300+ it could mean that either the previous report was incorrect or MediaTek might be replacing one of the other chip brands.

There’s not much we know about the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus at the moment, except that it will be joined by the Tab S10 Ultra and likely a standard Galaxy Tab S10.

According to a new rumor from Naver leaker yeux1122, Samsung is considering a dual-AP approach for the Galaxy Tab S10 series. Historically, Samsung’s flagship tablets and foldable phones have relied on Snapdragon system-on-chips (SoCs). 

Although details are still scarce regarding which models will feature the Exynos variant or Snapdragon variant, if Samsung follows a strategy similar to the Galaxy S24 series, the base Galaxy Tab S10, and Tab S10+ are likely to come with Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 processor. 

The top-of-the-line Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra might come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy.

Samsung might also bring the practice of regionally differing chipsets like in smartphones for its upcoming tablets. If that pans out, all the devices in the Galaxy Tab S10 series will feature Snapdragon chips in markets like the US, China, and Japan.

The shift to Exynos chips for select tablet models could be a significant cost-saving measure for Samsung. Reports indicate the company spent a staggering $8.87 billion on mobile processors last year. So taking into use its in-house Exynos division makes good business sense. 

Moreover, the larger size of tablets allows for better thermal management, which could help address any performance issues traditionally associated with Exynos chips.

A regulatory filing recently suggested that Samsung might launch the Galaxy Tab S10 series tablets in July alongside other devices like the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch7 series, and Galaxy Ring.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S9 series back in July 2023, which means it’s nearly time for a refresh. Now, we have a shred of evidence suggesting that the Galaxy Tab S10 series may be on the way. 

A battery possibly belonging to the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus has appeared on the SafetyKorea certification platform. It’s listed on the site with model number EB-BX828ABE and is a typical Li-ion battery. 

However, details regarding its capacity remain undisclosed due to blurry images of the battery from the testing procedure.

This isn’t the first time the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus battery has shown up on a certification platform. Previously, it was spotted on India’s BIS certification site, although once again, no specific details regarding its size or capacity were revealed.

Currently, we do not have much information about the upcoming Galaxy tablet. But considering last year’s lineup, we can expect Samsung to again launch at least three models in the Tab S10 series — the Galaxy Tab S10, Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra

For now, let’s quickly recap the specs and features of the Tab S9 Plus. 

Galaxy Tab S9 Plus Specifications

The Tab S9 Plus is built around a 12.4-inch WQXGA+ panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a fingerprint scanner in the display itself, and it also supports S-Pen stylus. 

Powering the device is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Backing this up is a 10,090mAh battery that supports 45W charging. 

Camera-wise, you get a 13MP and 8MP dual camera setup on the back while the front has a 12MP sensor for selfies and video calls. For audio, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus has quad speakers setup which is tuned by AKG and supports Dolby Atmos standard.
