HP has launched the Star Studio Pro 27 All-in-One desktop in China, targeting the mid-range market. It is priced at 5,299 yuan ($770) and is now available on JD.com.

The Star Studio Pro 27 is powered by an Intel Core 5 210H processor. The processor uses a hybrid architecture that includes 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, providing a total of 8 cores and 12 threads. It reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 4.8GHz and supports a performance release of up to 60W.

HP has equipped the system with 16GB of DDR5 memory running at 5200MT/s. The device offers an additional slot for future upgrades. For storage, the Star Studio Pro 27 comes with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

The system features a 27-inch Full HD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, and 350 nits peak brightness. It includes TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification to reduce eye strain and has a three-sided narrow bezel design with a 94% screen-to-body ratio.

The Star Studio Pro 27 features a fully adjustable stand with 100mm height adjustment and tilt adjustments from -6° to 16°. It also includes a rear cable management system for a tidy workspace.

HP provides a wide range of connectivity options, including two 20Gbps USB-C ports, one 10Gbps USB-A port, two standard USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.0b output, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity.

HP has launched its HyperX Omen 15 gaming laptop series in India, after the recent rebrand of its gaming laptop line. The laptops are available on Flipkart and other retail channels, starting at ₹1,49,999.

The series runs on Intel Core i7-14650HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs with up to 170W total graphics power. The display offers a 180Hz refresh rate with brightness up to 500 nits. Gaming responsiveness is handled through an 8K polling rate and 0.125ms response time.

Cooling comes from the Omen Tempest system, which includes self-cleaning fans to prevent dust buildup. The laptops feature One-Touch Omen AI that adjusts system settings automatically based on how you use the device.

Vineet Gehani, Senior Director of Personal Systems at HP India, said gaming in India now requires complete ecosystems, not just powerful hardware. He noted the Republic Day launch reflects HP’s commitment to India’s gaming community with technology that balances performance and sustainability.

Sujith Agashe, Vice President of Electronics at Flipkart, said the platform saw strong gaming hardware demand in 2025. He expects the Omen 15 series to set new standards for gaming laptops in 2026.

HP is offering several launch deals. Customers can get exchange bonuses up to ₹30,000, instant bank discounts up to ₹20,000, and no-cost EMI for up to 18 months. Launch period accessory deals include the HyperX CloudX Stinger 2 Core wired headset in black for ₹499 and the HyperX Knight backpack for ₹999, down from ₹6,397.

HP has officially unveiled the EliteBoard G1a, a slim membrane keyboard that doubles as a full Windows 11 PC powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300-series processor. The entire system lives inside a 12mm-thick shell, making it one of the slimmest and most portable x86 Windows PCs ever made.

This isn’t HP’s first attempt at reimagining productivity tools, but it might be its most daring. The EliteBoard is designed for hot-desking offices, hybrid teams, and professionals who need fast deployment without sacrificing Windows compatibility. Just plug it into a USB-C display, connect the included wireless mouse, and you’re up and running.

OmniBook Ultra 14

The laptop is 52 percent lighter than the previous generation and 5 percent thinner than the 2025 MacBook Air 13 with M4. Display options go up to a 14-inch 3K OLED panel. HP has added posture and wellbeing features that monitor neck tilt, slouching, and working angles during use. The system is tested against 20 MIL-STD-810 durability standards, covering drops, vibration, temperature, and other stress conditions.

HP also offers the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 2-in-1 variant, which adds a flexible x360 design. This model features a 14-inch 3K OLED display with a 2880 × 1800 resolution, 48 to 120Hz variable refresh rate, 0.2ms response time, SDR brightness up to 400 nits, HDR brightness up to 500 nits, VESA HDR 600 support, and 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage. Processor options include Intel Core Ultra 9 288V, Core Ultra 7 258V, Core Ultra 7 256V, and Core Ultra 5 226V chips paired with Intel Arc graphics. Memory options go up to 32GB LPDDR5x at 8533 MT/s, with storage up to 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. The laptop includes a 9MP IR AI camera, quad speakers tuned by Poly Studio, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 64Wh battery rated for up to 16.5 hours of mixed use and up to 20.5 hours of video playback. It supports fast charging to 50 percent in about 45 minutes.

OmniBook consumer lineup refresh

HP also refreshed the broader OmniBook lineup, including the OmniBook X, OmniBook 7, OmniBook 5, and OmniBook 3 Series. These models cover a wide range of price points and use cases, from professional productivity and video calls to everyday home and student computing.

The refreshed models support processors from AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm. Platform options include next-generation Ryzen AI processors, Intel Core Ultra chips, and Snapdragon X2 Elite and Plus platforms. Select configurations qualify as Copilot+ PCs, enabling local AI features tied to Windows and supported applications. HP is offering multiple screen sizes and configurations across the lineup to reduce overlap between models while keeping upgrade paths clear.

EliteBook X G2 Series

For enterprise customers, HP introduced the EliteBook X G2 Series, which was named a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree. The lineup focuses on AI performance, enterprise security, serviceability, and mobility. All models are registered as EPEAT 2.0 Gold products.

For the first time, HP is offering AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm processors on the same EliteBook platform. The EliteBook X G2q is powered by the Snapdragon X2 Elite processor and supports up to 85 NPU TOPS. The EliteBook X G2i uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with up to 50 NPU TOPS and up to 180 total platform TOPS. The EliteBook X G2a is based on AMD Ryzen AI processors delivering up to 55 NPU TOPS.

Select models weigh under 1 kg and are designed for all-day battery life. Display options include standard WUXGA panels and optional 3K Tandem OLED displays. HP has redesigned the internal layout, reducing keyboard replacement time by up to 80 percent, which improves serviceability for IT teams.

Security features include HP Wolf Security for Business with quantum-resistant protection, HP Endpoint Security Controller, and hardware-level firmware safeguards. Other features include HP Smart Sense for dynamic power and thermal tuning, optional x360 Flip models with pen support, and color options such as Glacier Silver, Atmospheric Blue, and Eclipse Gray.

Availability and pricing

HP confirmed that all models will be available through HP.com. The OmniBook Ultra 14 launches in January with a starting price of USD 1,549.99, approximately Rs. 1,39,814. The OmniBook 5 Series launches in February starting at USD 849.99, around Rs. 76,670. The OmniBook 3 Series also launches in February starting at USD 499.99, about Rs. 45,100. The system can be configured with Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors or AMD Ryzen AI HX chips, paired with NVIDIA’s next-generation GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. This places the MAX 16 firmly in the high-end category for sustained gaming and creator workloads.

Thermal management has been redesigned with OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro, which now adds a third fan and Fan Cleaner technology that periodically reverses airflow to reduce dust buildup. Display options include a 16-inch WQXGA OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, HDR support up to 500 nits, and full DCI-P3 coverage, alongside IPS alternatives for different performance needs. HP also includes a high-polling-rate keyboard with customizable lighting and OMEN AI, which automatically tunes system and game settings to improve frame rates without manual intervention.

Memory configurations reach up to 32GB of DDR5, while storage includes PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSDs up to 1TB. HP equips the system with HyperX-tuned audio, a 1080p FHD webcam, HDMI 2.1, USB-C with DisplayPort support, and battery options up to 83Wh with fast charging that can reach 50 percent in about 30 minutes.

Victus 15 remains the entry point

The Victus 15 continues as HP’s mainstream gaming option. It supports AMD Ryzen 8000 series and Intel 13th-gen Core processors, paired with GPUs ranging from NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 up to RTX 4060, as well as AMD Radeon RX 6550M. The laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD 144Hz IPS display, dual-channel memory support, PCIe Gen4 SSD storage, and DTS:X Ultra audio. Battery capacities range from 52.5Wh to 70Wh depending on configuration, keeping the Victus positioned for affordable gaming without premium extras.

Availability

HP has also confirmed availability timelines and starting prices for its updated gaming lineup. The OMEN MAX 16 Gaming Laptop is expected to launch in the coming months on HP.com, with a starting price of $1,699.99. The OMEN 16 Gaming Laptop will follow in March, starting at $1,599.99, positioning it just below the MAX model in HP’s gaming portfolio.

It uses an IPS panel that ensures consistent colors and viewing angles. HP claims an impressive battery life of up to 34 hours, with fast charging powering the laptop up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. The new OmniBook 5 series falls directly below the OmniBook X, so it isn’t as powerful as the higher end model. Although, you do get access to Copilot+’s AI features like Recall, Click-to-Do and much more. On the front, the screens are 2K OLED panels, and there is even support for up to a single external 5K monitor or two 4K monitors.

Major laptop makers have stopped all notebook and component shipments to the U.S. after new import tariffs of up to 104% took effect. Acer, Asus, Lenovo, Dell, and HP have paused deliveries for at least two weeks while they review the cost impact.

Smaller companies have also pulled back. Razer stopped U.S. laptop sales right after the tariffs were announced. Framework has paused sales of certain models that are no longer profitable under the new fees. Many brands are waiting to see how to handle the price jump.

This comes just after a rise in global PC demand. Shipments grew 4.9% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2025. The increase came as companies and buyers rushed to place orders before the tariffs started and ahead of Windows 10’s end-of-life updates. But analysts say that bump won’t last. IDC says the tariffs will push prices up and slow down sales for the rest of the year. Ongoing economic uncertainty is also expected to hurt demand.

U.S. consumers are likely to face both shortages and higher prices. With imports paused, inventory of key laptop models may run low in the coming weeks. Acer’s CEO confirmed an expected 10% price hike to offset the tariff burden.

Apple is the only major brand not halting shipments. It prepared in advance, filling U.S. warehouses before the tariffs hit. Apple is also flying in more iPhones from India, where the U.S. tariff is 26%, compared to the 104% rate on China-made goods. This has allowed Apple to keep its supply steady and avoid raising prices for now.

HP unveiled the EliteBook Ultra and the OmniBook X in the global market back in May. These devices were announced to arrive in India last month, with the pre-bookings also going live in June. Now, the brand’s first Copilot+ notebooks have officially been released in the region.

HP OmniBook X

The OmniBook X sports a 14-inch IPS display that supports touch functionality. This screen has a 2.2K resolution and 300 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor, which is paired with Qualcomm Adreno graphics. The introduction of the Microsoft Copilot PCs is revolutionizing the PC space and HP is moving in this direction. While Microsoft Copilot PCs are powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite or X Plus chips, the OmniBook Ultra 14 comes with a higher AI performance. The HP OmniBook Ultra 14 comes in a thin and light chassis, while its processor is rated to deliver up to 55 TOPS of AI performance. Its AI performance is higher than the Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus Hexagon NPU. The model will support several new features including faster AI image generation, and improved camera effects during video calls, among others.

The OmniBook Ultra 14 has an integrated Radeon 980 GPU while the Ryzen AI 300 is based on the x86 architecture. This implies that the laptop will have greater app compatibility, unlike the ARM-based Copilot+ models. Expanding its new AI powered PC portfolio, HP has just announced the OmniBook Ultra laptop and the OmniStudio X AIO desktop computer. Both models are equipped with AI enabled chipsets from AMD and Intel that bring access to a bunch of features.

HP OmniBook Ultra AI PC

Not to be confused with the Snapdragon X Elite powered OmniBook X, the OmniBook Ultra is a different laptop that features AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processor. This CPU is paired with a Radeon 800M GPU. The processor is paired with the up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. It sports a 1-inch 2.2K (2240 x 1400) IPS LCD screen that offers touchscreen support and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The OmniBook Ultra is a workstation designed to enhance LLM (large language model) development by detecting and correcting biases in models.

A 68Wh battery pack powers this device, which promises to offer 21 hours of video playback. Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the front, you get a 9MP webcam for video calls. For audio, there is a quad speaker setup with DTS Ultra.
