Earlier this year, Infinix unveiled the Hot 12 series of smartphones. The Thailand wing of the brand has confirmed that it will hold a launch event on Oct. 6 to announce the Infinix Hot 20 series. The teasers released by the brand have confirmed the key features of what appears to be the Hot 20 handset.

The Infinix Hot 20 series launch event will take place at 4 pm (local time) on Oct. 6 in Thailand. It is unclear whether the company plans to launch multiple Hot 20 series smartphones at the upcoming event.

The company has confirmed that the Infinix Hot 20 will come equipped with a 6.78-inch display, which appears to be an IPS LCD panel. The screen will carry support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution.

The Hot 20 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. It will be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and up to 5 GB of virtual RAM. The device will offer 128 GB of internal storage. The other specifications of the phone are under wraps.

The predecessor Hot 12 featured 50-megapixel dual cameras and a massive 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. While there is no official confirmation yet, it appears that the Hot 20 may also come with 50-megapixel dual cameras and a 6,000mAh battery. Hopefully, the company will shed more details on the device through new teasers before its official announcement.

In related news, Infinix will globally unveil the Zero Ultra 5G as its most advanced smartphone on Oct. 5. The device will feature a 120Hz OLED display with curved edges, a 200-megapixel main camera, and 180W fast charging support.

On Aug. 17, Infinix unveiled the Infinix Hot 12 handset in India. Today, the company will be carrying out the first sale of the device in the country. It will be available for purchase through Flipkart. Here is all the information on the price, launch offers, and specifications of the Hot 12.

The Infinix Hot 12 comes in a single model that offers 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It is priced at Rs 9,499 (~$119) in India. Some of the launch offers mentioned in the device’s Flipkart listing include 10 percent (up to Rs 750) off on SBI Credit Cards, 5 percent cashback on Flipkart Axis Bank cards, debit card EMI, and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 8,750 (~$110). The Hot 12 comes in four colors, such as 7″ Purple, Exploratory Blue, Polar Black, and Turquoise Cyan.

The first sale of the Hot 12 will be carried at 12 pm (local time) today (Aug. 23) on Flipkart.

Infinix Hot 12 specifications

The Infinix Hot 12 has a massive 6.82-inch LCD screen that offers an HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and a peak brightness of 460 nits. The device boots to XOS 10 based Android 11 OS. For security, it offers features like a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and face unlock.

The Hot 12 draws power from the MediaTek Helio G37 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The device offers 64 GB of built-in storage and a microSD card slot for additional storage. It has a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

The 8-megapixel camera available on the device’s front is coupled with dual LED flashlights. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, an AI lens, and a quad-LED flash. The device packs the usual connectivity features like dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Infinix Hot 12 comes with a 6.82-inch display bearing an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. It features a 90Hz refresh rate and 460 nits peak brightness. Design-wise, the device flaunts a dual-tone back panel where the top portion has vertical stripes. There is a rectangular camera module and a conventional fingerprint scanner. 

The Infinix Hot 12 sports a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth unit, and an AI lens. There is an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. 

Internally, the Infinix Hot 12 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G37 octa-core processor. It packs 4GB RAM along with 3GB virtual RAM support. The device offers 64GB onboard storage expandable via a microSD card slot. The smartphone draws its power from a 6,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W charging. It runs on XOS 10 based on Android 11.

The upcoming offering will be the third device in the Hot 12 series after the Pro and Play variants. It will likely be positioned below the Pro model and come with toned-down specifications. The Infinix Hot 12 will arrive as the successor to the Hot 11 that debuted last year. The brand has teased the smartphone in a YouTube video. 

The Infinix Hot 12 will come with a dual-tone back panel where the top portion has vertical stripes. There is a rectangular camera module and a conventional fingerprint scanner. On the front, the device will feature a 6.82-inch display bearing an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. It will offer a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 480 nits peak brightness. 

The Infinix Hot 12 is confirmed to feature a 50MP rear camera with f/1.6 aperture paired with two more lenses and an LED flash unit. The upcoming smartphone is also teased to be powered by a big 6,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging via a USB-C port. 

The Infinix Hot 12 is seen in a host of colour options including 7degree Purple, Turquoise Cyan, Exploratory Blue, and Polar Black. We will know more details about the smartphone’s full specifications as well as pricing and availability next week.

Transsion Holdings subsidiary Infinix has launched the Infinix Note 12 and Hot 12 in India. The Hot 12 series includes the Infinix Hot 12i which was launched earlier on. The two smartphones were announced alongside the Infinix Smart 6 HD (You can read our launch story for the Smart 6 HD from here).

The Infinix Note 12 packs a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch design and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM with a bigger 6GB RAM option. There is 128GB of internal storage onboard both options. The storage is expandable via microSD.

In terms of the camera, the Note 12 packs a 50-megapixel main camera paired with a 2-megapixel macro lens and a QVGA auxiliary module in a triple camera arrangement. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter embedded in the waterdrop notch.

Keeping the light on is a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. For interface, the Infinix Note 12 runs on the custom XOS 10.6 based on Android 11.

On the other hand, the Infinix Hot 12 features a slightly more expansive 6.82-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution. The display also supports a 90Hz refresh rate and utilizes a punch-hole design.

The Hot 12 runs on the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM while there is an expandable 128GB storage onboard. For photography, the premium mid-ranger packs a triple camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel main camera teaming up with a 2-megapixel auxiliary module and an AI lens.

The device gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery just like the Note 12 but it features support for 18W fast charging. The Hot 12 runs on a much-improved Android 12-based XOS 10.6.

The company is yet to announce the pricing and availability details of the models.

Back in December, it was reported that Infinix is working on a successor of the Hot 11 smartphone dubbed the Infinix Hot 12. However, recent news showed us a device with the moniker Infinix Hot 11 2022. Now, the tipster Paras Guglani has shared the Google Play Console listing of the previously reported Infinix Hot 12 with model number X6817.

The purported Infinix Hot 12 or the X6817 has a punch-hole panel with 720 x 1640 pixels resolution. The screen has a screen density of 320 DPI.

The smartphone has the MediaTek MT6769V chipset that’s the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and it is paired with 4GB of RAM. We expect the phone to have 64GB or 128GB of storage variant.The device boots on Android 12 OS out of the box.

Apart from this, there’s no other detail about the upcoming Infinix Hot 12. But given that the phone has passed the Play Console certification, we expect the phone to be official in the coming months. We might as well see some more certifications on the phone soon.

In related news, the Infinix Hot 11 2022 was recently leaked online. The smartphone’s renders were surfaced in Aurora Green, Sunset Gold, and Polar Black. We learn that the device has a punch-hole display, which is expected to be a 6.8-inch 90Hz panel. It is said to be an IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution.

At the back, the phone has a dual-camera system placed vertically. It is expected to be a 48MP primary sensor. Other specs of the phone were rumored. The device is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The phone is tipped to have UNISOC T700 SoC and 4GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage. The device is expected to run on Android 11 OS.

Infinix, the Hong Kong-based smartphone manufacturer recently launched the Hot 11 series, followed by the Note 11 series devices. Now, it is being reported that the company is gearing up to launch its successors.

A new report coming from Passionategeekz reveals that the company is working to launch the Infinix Hot 12 and Note 12 series smartphones, which are expected to go official sometime in early 2022.

The model number of the upcoming devices includes X665 (Hot 12i), X665B (Hot 12i), X6817 (Hot 12), X6815 (Zero 5G), X699 (Note 12 Pro), and X670 (Note 12). Currently, there’s nothing known about the specs or features of these upcoming devices.

There’s at least a couple of months left before these new smartphones get launched in the market, so there’s plenty of time for more information about the devices to surface online, be it in the form of leaks or through official teasers from the brand.

The development of these upcoming phones comes at a time when the company is still gearing up to launch the Infinix Note 11 series smartphones in the Indian market. The Infinix Note 11S and Note 11 will be made official in India in mid-December.

The brand is also set to launch the Infinix INBook X1 and INBook X1 Pro in the Indian market tomorrow, marking the brand’s entry into the laptop category in India. It had first announced the INBoox X1 in the Philippines back in October.

Lately, a number of Infinix smartphones have been spotted on FCC. The latest device from the brand to get FCC certification is a phone called Ininfix X689D. It has been also certified by TKDN. Additionally, a blog has revealed most of its specifications.

According to Tech Arena 24 (via Abhishek Yadav), the upcoming Infinix X689D smartphone may go official as Infinix HOT 11 or Infinix HOT 12. The publication suggests two names since the company had skipped generations before.

As per the report, this handset will flaunt a 6.82-inch dewdrop display. Although there’s no mention of the panel’s type, we can expect it to be LCD. Further, under the hood, the device will feature a MediaTek MT6769V SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

As far as the design is concerned, the phone will have a diamond pattern on the rear polycarbonate panel with a matrix camera array and a capacitive fingerprint sensor. Unsurprisingly, the low-quality renders of the handset match the FCC label sketch.

Talking about cameras, the smartphone will sport a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. Whereas, for selfies and video calls, the device will come with an 8MP shooter.

On the connectivity front, the handset will support 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It will also include all the essential sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, proximity sensor, and gyroscope. As for ports, it will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack and what appears to be a MicroUSB port for charging as well as data transfer.

Last but not least, the Infinix X689D, which could either launch as Infinix HOT 11 or Infinix HOT 12 will run Android 11 and will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

As of now, there’s no official word from Infinix regarding the launch of this phone.
