New Mercedes-Benz Wireless Headphones 2 Poised to Launch After Recent Certification

Mercedes-Benz’s next wireless headphones have just surfaced on the TDRA certification database in UAE. The premium headphone was spotted carrying the MB WHP 2 model number and has been listed as a Bluetooth enabled device. As the name suggests, the Mercedes-Benz Wireless Headphone 2 appears to be the successor to the original Mercedes-Benz Wireless Headphones, which debuted back in 2020. For those unaware, this model was launched with a distinct over the ear design and carried the brand’s iconic logo.

So while the display mostly featured a black body, it had a nice contrast with a silver three-pointed star enclosed in a thick circular border. Unfortunately, the TDRA certification did not reveal any details of the Mercedes-Benz Wireless Headphone 2, but it likely brings various upgrades over its predecessors. To recall, the first gen model features Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity as well as a 3.5mm audio jack for a wired connection.

These also housed an integrated microphone, a touchpad for quick and convenient controls, and support for 3D surround sound. On a single full charge, the first Mercedes-Benz Wireless Headphone could last for up to 1 8hours of battery life. Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the new EQE SUV, presenting consumers with an upgraded model that retains its predecessor’s price range, ranging from 486,000 to 630,600 yuan (~$68,000 – $88250). The latest iteration introduces various improvements, including 5G communication modules and plush velvet floor mats, while preserving the base Pioneer version’s affordability.

Details about the new EQE fully electric SUV

The exterior design maintains the EQE’s distinctive language, featuring a closed grille, a through-type LED light strip, and innovative “Meteor Shower” intelligent digital headlights with 2.6 million illumination pixels. The front bumper’s enhanced sporty aesthetics, coupled with a 98% ultra-high screen-to-body ratio, contribute to the SUV‘s captivating appearance.

The EQE SUV offers a seamless driving experience with optional air suspension (AIRMATIC) and adaptive damping system plus (ADS+), enhancing the vehicle’s height for increased passability. Multiple driving modes, such as “Energy Saving,” “Comfort,” “Sport,” “Personalized,” and “Off-Road,” cater to diverse preferences.

Inside, the car boasts an oversized triple screen, multi-function steering wheel, and multi-color ambient lighting, creating a harmonious blend of technology and luxury. The MBUX Hyperscreen in-car system, spanning 141 cm in width, introduces a zero-level interface that prioritizes key applications, providing an intuitive and distraction-free driving environment.

Enhanced configurations and safety features for the Chinese market

Mercedes-Benz has tailored the EQE SUV for the Chinese market by introducing ten exclusive configurations, including a “boss button” and comfortable rear headrests. Notably, the vehicle focuses on improving noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels through features like double-layer silent glass in the front row and a comprehensive vehicle acoustic package.

For power, the EQE SUV houses a dual-motor, four-wheel-drive system with a 96.1 kWh battery pack. The 350 model delivers a maximum output power of 215 kW, while the 500 model offers an impressive 300 kW. With a maximum cruising range of 613 kilometers under CLTC operating conditions and a 128-kilowatt charging power, the EQE SUV prioritizes performance and efficiency.

In terms of safety, the EQE SUV includes active and passive features such as the attention assist system, active braking assist system, and active lane-keeping assist system. Furthermore, the vehicle can be equipped with an enhanced driving assistance package featuring an intersection start and stop function.

While other car manufacturers are content partnering with existing networks, Mercedes-Benz aims to be the Starbucks of EV charging. Picture this: you drive into a charging hub, conveniently located near a major roadway or even a Mercedes-Benz dealership, plug in, and within minutes, your car is charged. Meanwhile, you grab a snack, maybe use the restroom, and head back on your journey. It’s convenience that goes beyond miles per charge.

Unlike most charging stations, these hubs aren’t just about juicing up your car. They’re designed as comprehensive pit-stops, offering not just chargers but amenities like refreshments and restrooms. It’s still aligned with Ionity in Europe and is part of a joint venture with six other manufacturers in North America. Mercedes-Benz is expanding its product range. Recent spy photos have revealed the company’s next big project, the first all-electric CLA-Class sedan. Like all spy photos, the car was heavily camouflaged. Still, we can get some ideas about it. For example, the front end features a wide grille with a Mercedes-Benz star emblem in the center, flanked by slim headlights.

The side profile is similar to the current CLA-Class, with a sloping roofline and a coupe-like silhouette. The rear end features a sloping trunk lid and slim taillights. Also in the highly anticipated model is its lack of exhaust pipes, which confirms again that it’s fully electric. The vehicle is probably going to be built on Mercedes’ new MMA platform. This platform is made for hybrid and electric cars. Many new Mercedes cars will use this platform in the next few years.

Mercedes has not yet released any official details about the CLA EV, but it’s expected to have a range of around 400 miles (644 km). It’s also likely to be offered in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The CLA EV is expected to be unveiled later this year, and it’s likely to go on sale in early 2024. However, it is expected to be revealed this September at the International Motor Show in Munich and it will compete against a growing number of electric luxury sedans, including the Tesla Model 3, the Audi e-tron GT, and the Porsche Taycan.

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its new E-Class sedan, which has undergone significant changes in appearance, interior, and power. The New E-Class has a 4-Cylinder Turbocharged Engine

After recent speculation that Tesla will integrate ChatGPT into its EV fleet, this shouldn’t come as a surprise that TikTok, the viral social media app, is set to make its way into cars. As per the latest reports, the upcoming release of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class in the fall of 2023 will feature TikTok. The updated version of the MBUX infotainment system in the vehicle will boast a “superscreen” that spans the entire dashboard and will allow drivers and passengers to access a variety of apps, including TikTok, Zoom video conferencing, Angry Birds, Vivaldi web browser, and Webex by Cisco.

Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Källenius stated that the company selected these apps based on what is most popular in each market or region. With the inclusion of TikTok, it highlights Mercedes’ interest in the Chinese market, where the app is particularly popular.

Passengers will have access to a portion of the screen located directly in front of them, allowing them to enjoy the content on TikTok. The driver monitoring system will track where the driver is looking, ensuring that they do not become distracted while driving.

Mercedes-Benz has created a new software architecture that allows for easier integration of third-party apps into the infotainment system. The automaker has also developed a new app store that is accessible through the Mercedes me app. Over-the-air software updates will enable more apps to be added to the vehicle in the future.

In addition to the inclusion of TikTok and other apps, Mercedes-Benz announced a long-term partnership with Google that will provide drivers with navigation, maps, and YouTube. The automaker also revealed details about its own operating system, MB.OS, which is expected to debut in its next generation of vehicles around 2025, and an expanded partnership with lidar company Luminar.

With a length of about 6 meters, the Project Maybach has a transparent front bonnet underneath which solar cells are placed to provide charging power for the car’s electric battery.

Designed as an electric show car, the Project Maybach was unveiled during the Miami Art Week which featured several other activities. Fashion designer, Virgil Abloh has previously collaborated with Mercedes-Benz and succumbed to cancer last week, aged 41 years. In deference to the memory of the late designer, Mercedes-Benz is showing Project Maybach at Miami’s Rubell Museum instead of the scheduled press event to unveil the car.

The company says it was devastated to hear of the demise of Abloh, stressing that its sincere thoughts are with Virgil’s family and teams. Mercedes-Benz underscored the late designer’s great vision, unbridled imagination, and inspirational designs.

German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has carved a niche for itself as a traditional luxury car maker with power and speed mixed with elegance. The automaker has already extended its impeccable record to the EV market, and it is fast asserting its presence.

Mercedes-Benz today provided a teaser for its well-kitted upcoming all-electric car, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX, showing a range of well above 1,000km (620 miles) as well as other ultra-efficient features. However, the current range of the vehicle falls below what Mercedes-Benz stated last year when it announced the model (1,2000km).

Mercedes-Benz plans to produce all-electric vehicles before 2030, and the German automaker is vigorously pursuing the set milestones and timelines to accomplish the plan. In a tweet today, the company stated that the Vision EQXX reflects the company’s ambition to create the most efficient car. The development plans for the EQXX targets a single-digit figure for Kwh per 100km at typical highway driving speeds. This translates to about 6 miles/Kwh, which is impressive.

Mercedes-Benz also stated that the project involves a multidisciplinary team of experts from the company’s Formula 1 High-Performance Powertrain (HPP) division in bringing the Vision EQXX to the roads by 2022. It is, however, unclear whether a commercial version of the Vision EQXX is being considered. Mercedes-Benz has stated that the model will serve as a guide in developing its overall EV production architecture.

Efficiency in EV is one area that will continue to evolve as the leading EV makers continue to tinker their models for greater mileage per Kwh and a greater range of vehicles. Concept vehicles like the EQXX provide benchmarks for the development of commercially efficient models.

As stated earlier, Mercedes-Benz has put in solid plans to go all-electric by 2030. The company announced new electrification plans today. The detailed plan includes milestones and timelines like a launch of three new all-electric architectures by 2025, installation of more than 200 Gigawatt hours, and 8 Gigafactories. The company plans to begin production post-2025 when the EV manufacturing infrastructure would have been in place.

The touchscreen in the latest Mercedes Benz luxury wheels sits in front of the dashboard and will help to limit glare that has been a common complaint while using touchscreens located on the dashboard. The new touchscreen can be flipped in the perfect direction that prevents any glare from affecting visibility. The AMG SL Roadster also features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, tucked away in a manner that reflects Mercedes-Benz’s concept of recreating an aviation experience while driving the convertible. The digital instrument cluster is a screen embedded deep into the dashboard as an anti-glare move.

The flipping touchscreen design that is debuting with the AMG SL Roadster is an innovative move by Mercedes-Benz. It provides a larger and easier-to-reach display that would also come with some additional functionality and features and create new problems. Although we expect the device not to be wobbly (which would defeat its conceptualisation), the strength and flexibility of the hinges could also determine its workability. However, this could also spell a new direction for larger and more versatile displays, especially for luxury vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz 2022 AMG SL Roadster mold.

In a launch event held on Thursday, the exquisite Mercedes EV model was showcased with many exciting features to give established electric vehicle manufacturers like Tesla a run for the market. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS electric vehicle could cost up to $100,000 according to industry watchers who expect the EQS to be more expensive than the latest Mercedes-Benz S-Class and also to be marginally more expensive than Tesla’s Model S large sedans.

The 2022 EQS is the first step in Mercedes-Benz’s “Ambition 2039” initiative to get EV versions of more than half the cars it sells by 2039.
