The OnePlus 3 was already a stunner when it launched last year. No one was expecting another phone from the manufacturer until they announced the OnePlus 3T, and then ended production for the OnePlus 3.

The same thing seems to be happening again as the launch of the OnePlus 5 draws nearer. A tweet via the official account says the OnePlus 3T will soon be out of stock and from the way it sounds, it is going to be permanent.

OnePlus added the OnePlus 3T flagship as an upgraded version of the OnePlus 3 and it went official in November last year. Since then, the device has been eluding potential buyers because of the high demand for the flagship when compared with the availability. Thus, the 3T has only been available via flash sales.

However, it seems OnePlus is making things a lot easier as the OnePlus 3T has been listed on Jingdong (JD.com) for on the spot sales. The sale is only open for the 6GB + 64GB variant of the device and you get to choose between the Gunmetal and Soft Gold color options. The version with 128GB of storage seems not to be available at the moment but could join the fray later on. But if you’re keen on having the 128GB variant of the 3T, then check it out on Giztop.

As a reminder, the OnePlus 3T features a premium and sleek metal unibody with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35GHz. The device also has a larger 3,400mAh battery than its predecessor, as well as a 16MP front-facing camera and a rear camera with EIS and covered by sapphire glass. Chinese innovative startup OnePlus launched a faster and more capable variant of its OnePlus 3 flagship dubbed OnePlus 3T two months ago. The OnePlus 3T comes with a faster processor as well as a more capable front-facing camera. Meanwhile, the rear camera is the same 16MP sensor with OIS, EIS, and 4K video output as found on the OnePlus except the EIS which is a new addition. That camera has now been put to test in a recent photo shoot organized by Qualcomm in China. The Photo shoot captures various scenery at night and really, the output is just amazing.

The device features a Snapdragon 821 chipset which is said to be 10% faster than the Snapdragon 820 chipset on the OnePlus 3. No doubt, the more powerful chipset would give the OnePlus 3T a more efficient camera even though it features the same rear camera sensor. Apart from the sensor, the device is also revealed to feature a Qualcomm Spectra image signal processor (ISP) which co-ordinates stuff like autofocus, exposure, and white balance for the camera. This is perhaps, the main feature the photo shoot is meant to project.

Interestingly, the images were captured at night and despite that, they still come clean, without any image noise. The images are crisp clear and quite stunning for images shot by a smartphone. For those who still want to see more shots of the Oneplus 3T’s camera, the images will be on exhibition between January 19 and February 27 at a photography exhibition event in China. Meanwhile, you can check out more stunning shots from the shutter of OnePlus 3T’s camera from down below.

Just like it did for the OnePlus 3, OnePlus is set to release a Soft Gold color version of its latest OnePlus 3T flagship. The new variant will be unveiled on January 3, 2017 at 3.00 and would go on sale immediately on OnePlus’ official website and on Jingdong (JD.com) simultaneously. The new soft Gold variant still starts at 2699 yuan ($392).

The OnePlus 3T was launched about a month ago in China after its initial unveiling in Europe and was touted as available in two variants, Gunmetal and Soft Gold. However, the OnePlus 3T Soft gold variant wasn’t available when it launched but OnePlus has released a poster announcing the variant will now be available next week.

The OnePlus 3T Soft gold variant add some bit of class and extra sleekness to an already beautiful device. The device retains the design of the OnePlus 3 and aside the new color, the specs remain the same with the Gunmetal version of the OP3T. Recall that the OnePlus 3T features the flagship Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35GHz, a larger 3400mAh battery, a 16MP front facing camera, a new storage variant, and the rear camera now has EIS and is covered by sapphire glass.

The OnePlus 3T can be referred to as the new Android poster boy. It’s one of the few phones that offers true premium quality and features at an affordable price. Even way more affordable than Google’s own Pixel and Pixel XL.

The OnePlus 3T, apart from being the most powerful phone is also the first OnePlus device to have a 128GB storage variant in addition to the 64GB base model. The extra storage storage will cost you more money if that is the variant you prefer. The US version is priced at $479 (out of stock for now) while the Europe/Asia variant is available for £439/$543. However, online mall Giztop, has it for $549 which is a very fair price if you ask me.

Excluding the large storage, this variant is the same as the 64GB model. It has the same 5.5-inch optic AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, 6GB of RAM, 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 SoC, 16MP rear camera, 16MP selfie shooter, and 3400mAh battery.

The bands supported on the Europe/Asia version are B1/3/5/7/8. Do note that only the Gunmetal variant is available.

There are also lots of customized gifts for fans. Previously, the OnePlus 3T was announced with just a 64GB storage version but with the coming of a larger storage version, users will have a lot more free space to play with. The huge 6GB LPDDR4 RAM would also assist in the handling of multi-task and loading large games and apps. We haven’t forgotten that the 3T features a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35GHz.

The OnePlus 3T is indeed a true flagship as it also packs a 3,400mAh battery with support for fast charching. The OnePlus 3T was unveiled last week, sporting improved specs and a higher price tag which starts at $439. However, that price will not apply to all regions. If you remember, the OnePlus 3 was priced at $399 in the US but sold for £399 in the UK.

The pricing for the OnePlus 3T has been released and they are as follows:

United Kingdom

OnePlus 3T 64GB Version = £399

OnePlus 3T 128GB Version = £439

Europe

OnePlus 3T 64GB Version = €439

OnePlus 3T 128GB Version = €479

United States

OnePlus 3T 64GB Version = $439

OnePlus 3T 128GB Version = $479

OnePlus 3T China Price

The OP3T is expected to sell for way lesser in China. Although its price has not been made official but an insider says the 64GB version will sell for ¥2799 ($406) and the 128GB version will be priced at ¥3299 ($478) which is roughly the same as that of the US. There is, however, a possibility that the price may be brought down to ¥3199 ($464).

The phone will be available in the United States starting tomorrow and in Europe on the 28th of this month.

It is important to mention that not only will the pricing be different but the bands will also vary according to regions. So if you are thinking of buying from a different region because it is cheaper, you may have to consider this factor unless you do not care about the bands supported.

OnePlus has officially released  a teaser on Twitter pointing at a launch event holding on November 15 at 1 PM EST. As rumored, the company is expected to release a Snapdragon 821-powered version of the OnePlus 3. Although the official release did not explicitly state the name of the device that would be launched that day, it is the OnePlus 3T, an upgraded version of the OnePlus 3.

Earlier on, Qualcomm had through its official Twitter handle released a post that teased the coming of a OnePlus device that would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor sort of confirming earlier rumors. Now this teaser has given some confirmation to the rumors but then, it left off without ascribing a name to the expected smartphone. The poster contains the code T-7 and then the date as well as time of the launch event. While the letter T can be given to be representing the OnePlus 3T, we cannot say what the number 7 refers to. So we’ll have to wait till the conference to find out more.

Specs wise, the OnePlus 3T is expected to sport the same 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display that was first seen on the OnePlus 3. New details have emerged that it is likely that the OnePlus 3T would use LCD display due to shortage of AMOLED screen in order to fast track shipment of the device. In addition, the device is expected to feature two memory versions with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, but both models are expected to have 6GB of RAM. The major differences from the OnePlus 3 will include an upgrade of the processor to Snapdragon 821, while the rear camera is expected to have the Sony IMX398 sensor that can be found in the OPPO R9s and R9s Plus. Also unlike the OnePlus 3, the upcoming device is expected to have Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed. Not forgetting also that the price would come around $80 higher than the OnePlus 3, placing it around $480.

OnePlus 3, that sleek flagship smartphone with a cheap price tag manufactured by Chinese start-up OnePlus, has lately been making the rounds quite regularly in the rumor mills. First we got hint of an upgraded version dubbed OnePlus 3T said to use a Snapdragon 821 chipset, and also packing a more powerful Sony IMX398 sensor. Also, it had emerged from the mouth of popular tipster Evan Bass that the device could be priced $80 more than the current OnePlus 3 pricing.

Now, latest rumor emanating from China says the expected OnePlus 3T will be launched on November 14 which is just about ten days away from today. We cannot verify the authenticity of the rumor but considering that the device has been in the front burner quite frequently of late, there might be some credibility in it.

Moreover, the release of an upgrade for the OnePlus 3 is long overdue because despite its sleek and sturdy features as well as solid performance, more recent smartphones have taken the shine off the flagship. So, the OnePlus 3T is very much needed at this time to keep the steam up until next year when the company would likely release its next flagship, the OnePlus 4.
