<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to a <a href="https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/oppo-tv-india-launch-timeline-exclusive/">report</a> by 91Mobiles, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/OPPO-TV/"><span style="font-weight: 400">OPPO TV</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> will launch in India in Q2 2022. This piece of information comes from tech influencer <em>Mukul Sharma</em> (<a href="https://twitter.com/stufflistings"><em>@stufflistings</em></a>).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Unfortunately, the source does not reveal anything about this television, except for the rough release timeline. Hence, it’s not known whether the firm will bring its existing model or launch something new altogether.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">We think that there’s a high chance for the latter than the former. Because almost all smartphone brands assemble their TVs locally in India. Since OPPO’s sister brands </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/OnePlus/"><span style="font-weight: 400">OnePlus</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> follow this, it will most likely do the same.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">In that case, the OPPO TVs launching in India will be different from the models sold in China, just like Xiaomi televisions. But at least, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> has brought its self-developed content aggregation service called </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/PatchWall/"><span style="font-weight: 400">PatchWall</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> outside mainland China with tweaks catering to Indian customers. We are not sure about the same for OPPO.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Having said that, we can expect OPPO TV models to run Android TV in India like most smart televisions in the country. As far as other features are concerned, we will have to wait till more details emerge in the form of leaks, certifications, and teasers.</span></p>

At the upcoming event, the company will be unveiling several new products, including OPPO K9 series smartphones, Enco Air TWS earbuds, and a fitness tracker.</p>
<p>Now, a <a href="https://www.ithome.com/0/547/571.htm">new report</a> from China, citing @tomatohiya, claims that the company will also launch new Smart TV products at the same event on 6th May. It further adds that the new TVs will be positioned as an entry-level offering.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-385726 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/OPPO-TV-May-6-Leak.jpeg?x44794" alt="OPPO New TV Details; Launching May 6" width="790" height="1300" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/OPPO-TV-May-6-Leak.jpeg 790w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/OPPO-TV-May-6-Leak-182x300.jpeg 182w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/OPPO-TV-May-6-Leak-768x1264.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/OPPO-TV-May-6-Leak-622x1024.jpeg 622w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/OPPO-TV-May-6-Leak-696x1145.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/OPPO-TV-May-6-Leak-255x420.jpeg 255w" sizes="(max-width: 790px) 100vw, 790px" /></p>
<p>From the poster, it appears that the upcoming Smart TV from OPPO will come with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and MEMC for smoother operation. It will also have several other features, like Local Dimming, Anti-Aliasing, and more.</p>
<p>OPPO has <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/19/oppo-tv-s1-r1-launch-specs-price-features/">already unveiled its Smart TV</a> products &#8212; the OPPO TV S1 as the high-end offering and the OPPO TV R1 as the upper mid-range offering in October last year.</p>
<p>It seems that OPPO is following the strategy of its sister brand OnePlus when it comes to the Smart TV category. OnePlus debuted in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/smart-tv">Smart TV</a> category with high-end products in the Indian market. Later, the company unveiled budget TVs in India. And now OPPO is also gearing up to launch budget or entry-level TVs after launching high-end TVs last year.</p>
<p>Currently, not much is known about the upcoming entry-level <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">OPPO</a> smart TV but we expect to know more in the coming days. To know the pricing and availability for sure, we will have to wait for the official launch next month.</p>
<p>Smart TVs have now become a highly competitive category and many smartphone makers have now jumped into this, including Xiaomi, Huawei, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/honor">Honor</a>, Motorola, Nokia, OnePlus, and now OPPO. It will be interesting to see how the company performs in this category once it expands to other regions.</p>

In line with that, the company is now <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/12/oppo-smart-tv-19-october-launch/">all set to launch</a> its first Smart TV on 19th October in its home country.</p>
<p>Ahead of the official launch, the company has been revealing some key information about the OPPO Smart TV. In the latest <a href="https://weibo.com/6980790897/JpgSp06tU">teaser post</a> on Weibo, the company has confirmed its partnership with Dynaudio for the upcoming TV models.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-348065 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/OPPO-Dynaudio-Partnership.jpg?x44794" alt="OPPO Dynaudio Partnership" width="690" height="388" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/OPPO-Dynaudio-Partnership.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/OPPO-Dynaudio-Partnership-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></p>
<p>However, it seems that the OPPO TV won&#8217;t be the only product from the company to have support for Dynaudio. As per the recent leak, the Chinese brand is working on new TWS earphones dubbed as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/13/leaked-oppo-enco-x-tws-earbuds-case-reveals-partnership-with-dynaudio/">OPPO Enco X</a>, in partnership with Dynaudio.</p>
<p>An image of the upcoming true wireless earphones from the company has also leaked online, which shows that the logo of Dynaudio will be printed on the back panel of the charging case for the earphones.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">EDITOR&#8217;S PICK:</span> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/14/oneplus-8t-5g-arrives-with-android-11-120hz-screen-warp-charge-65-more/">OnePlus 8T 5G smartphone arrives with Android 11, 120Hz screen, Warp Charge 65, and more!</a></strong></p>
<p>While the company has not yet confirmed this, some reports indicate that the OPPO Enco X TWS earphones could get launched along with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo-smart-tv">OPPO Smart TV</a> on 19th October in China. To know for sure, we will have to wait for a few more days.</p>
<p>If the leaks are to be believed, then the company will launch three Smart TV models &#8212; R1 55-inch, R1 65-inch, and S1 65-inch. All three of them <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/14/oppo-smart-tv-teaser-floating-screen-design/">will reportedly have</a> Quantum Dot Full-Screen display and 120Hz refresh rate.</p>
<p>For those who are unaware, Dynaudio is a Danish audio company known for making loudspeakers for home, studio, and car. Founded in 1977, it claims to offer exceptional sound quality and design in every product. Additionally, the company says that it builds <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/speaker">speakers</a> using only their own drivers.</p>

The company has today confirmed that it will be hosting a launch event on 19th October to launch its first Smart TV in the market.</p>
<p>While the company has not revealed many details about the TV, it is being reported that there will be two variants based on the display size &#8212; 55-inch and 65-inch. It is also expected to have a Quantum Dot full-screen display with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/120hz">120Hz refresh rate</a>.</p>

<p>From the previous leak, it has been confirmed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">OPPO</a> Smart TV will come with a pop-up camera, enabling video calling on the device. The ultra-narrow display seems to have a silver-colored base.</p>
<p>Thanks to the Quantum Dot display, which is made with the innovative semiconductor nanocrystal technology, it improves the color gamut of the display. This makes the color appear more bright and pure.</p>

Xiaomi has been doing it for years and even Oppo’s sister brands </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/OnePlus"><span style="font-weight: 400">OnePlus </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Realme"><span style="font-weight: 400">Realme </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">have their own TV lineup.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">In fact, just earlier today, OnePlus announced to launch a new</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/08/new-oneplus-tv-with-affordable-pricing-to-debut-on-july-2/"><span style="font-weight: 400"> affordable $200 smart TV</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> in India. Since these brands share resources as well as </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/06/shuttered-oppo-factory-is-affecting-sales-of-oneplus-and-realme-in-india/"><span style="font-weight: 400">manufacturing facilities</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, it will be easy for Oppo to develop smart TVs.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Having said that, we are not sure when Oppo will be launching its smart TVs. Even if it does, they will be perhaps limited to China and might make their way to India later.</span></p>

It now has launched mobile accessories with OPPO <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/26/oppo-enco-free-true-wireless-earphones-released-for-699-yuan-100/">Enco Free TWS Earbuds</a> and a few days ago, the OPPO <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/06/oppo-watch-launched-in-china-as-a-beautiful-apple-watch-alternative/">Watch was launched</a>.</p>
<p>Now, the company has hinted that OPPO will soon be launching its own Smart TV lineup. While the exact launch date for this has not been revealed, Liu Bo, VP of OPPO and President of Emerging Mobile Terminal Business for the company has confirmed that the lineup will go official in the second half of this year.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-183570 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/oppo-logo.jpg?x44794" alt="oppo logo" width="879" height="575" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/oppo-logo.jpg 879w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/oppo-logo-300x196.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/oppo-logo-768x502.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 879px) 100vw, 879px" /></p>
<p>He stated that the company&#8217;s vision regarding Internet of Things (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iot">IoT</a>) is to create a multi-terminal, cross-scenario smart life, products which focuses on four major scenarios &#8212; personal, family, travel and office. OPPO also wants to provide a rich catalogue of products under its brand in the connected devices category.</p>

<p>Apart from the fact that OPPO will launch its Smart TV lineup in the second half of this year, nothing much is known about this as of now. However, we expect to know more about this Smart TV range in the coming weeks of months.</p>
<p>With the launch of its own Smart TV lineup, OPPO will be joining the likes of Xiaomi, Huawei, Honor, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/26/oneplus-tv-q1-oneplus-tv-q1-pro-launched-price/">OnePlus</a>, Motorola, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/05/nokia-55-inch-smart-tv-with-4k-uhd-screen-and-jbl-audio-launched-in-india/">Nokia</a>, which already have their own range of Smart TVs. On the other hand, Realme, a smartphone brand backed by OPPO, is also set to enter this market.</p>
<p>Realme <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/03/realme-tv-announcement-to-happen-at-mwc-2020/">was set to announce</a> its Realme TV during the Mobile World Congress 2020 last month. But as the event got cancelled, the company launched the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/24/realme-x50-pro-5g-with-90hz-display-sd865-65w-fast-charge-launched-for-rs-37999-528-in-india/">Realme X50 Pro 5G</a> smartphone through live stream but seems to be postponed the announcement related to the Realme Smart TV. We expect to know more about this in the coming days.</p>
