Earlier this month, OnePlus released the OxygenOS 12 update – C.46 for the OnePlus 9 and the 9 Pro which brought along a number of bug fixes like the abnormal display issue with the AOD, the blurred screen bug in certain scenarios, and the problems with registering to a 5G network. This update however did not make it to North American users of the device.

The company has now released another update for the OnePlus 9 series devices which this time around includes all regions. The new firmware update coming to the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro comes with version number C.47. The update bumps up the security patch levels of the devices to March 2022 and comes with several bug fixes and system optimization.

OnePlus also informs that the SafetyNet bug which was causing the “Device not certified” error for some OnePlus 9 users while using Google Pay has been addressed. If users are still facing the issue after installing the new update, the company has advised clearing the Google Play Store’s cache and rebooting the device.

OnePlus has recently released a new software update for their OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro devices that claims to fix a bunch of problems users have been complaining about for quite some time.

The OnePlus 9 update comes with firmware version LE2111_11.C.46 for Indian users and LE2113_11.C.46 for users in Europe. The OnePlus 9 Pro updates have firmware version LE2121_11.C.46 for the Indian variant and LE2123_11.C.46 for the European variant.

The changes brought by the latest update are listed below.

OnePlus continues to send a steady flow of updates to its new flagship model, the OnePlus 7 Pro. The new OxygenOS 9.5.9 update brings a huge changelog including sound enhancement for the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 as well as improved photo quality in 48MP Pro mode. 

The major focus of the new update seems to be feature enhancements, specifically enhancing the user experience on the OnePlus 7 Pro. The update brings smoother visual effects and improved touch sensitivity on the device. Haptics has been improved as well, with better optimized haptic feedback for the keyboard. Other improvements include automatic brightness setting optimization, Face Unlock assistive lighting, support for VoLTE/VoWiFi for 3 SE and Telenor SE (EEA) and sound enhancement for OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2.

Overall, the OxygenOS 9.5.9 looks like a solid update to an already great device. The update is already rolling out to devices in batches and if there are no issues, all OnePlus 7 Pro devices should get this update in the coming days.

OnePlus’ current flagship smartphone — OnePlus 6 has received another update for the OxygenOS which brings the new feature of enhancing the battery life.

The latest OxygenOS 5.1.9 update add the intelligent battery saving feature to the OnePlus 6. The feature will optimize the battery and will intelligently turn off the network operations when the user is asleep. The feature works based on the user’s sleep patterns, where the phone guesses when it will be out of use for a long time.

The China-based company is calling this new feature “Sleep Standby Optimization” and it’ll not be activated by default. Users can activate the feature using the advanced optimization section under the battery optimization option from the phone’s settings. The feature extends the battery life of the phone, which packs a 3,300mAh battery that can be charged up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.

Earlier, an update for the OnePlus 6 brought slow-motion video support as well as notch hiding support. The recent update for the phone was supposed to fix some system stability issues and optimize call quality. However, several users complained about serious battery drain, which reduces battery life by half with the screen consuming more than usual. Some users also complained about the camera app freezing.

The OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch notched AMOLED display with screen resolution of  2280 x 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor. It packs up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage with support for microSD card slot.

The phone is powered by a 3,300mAh battery, with support for the company’s fast charging technology. On the back side, there’s a dual camera setup, sporting a 16MP primary Sony IMX519 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22um pixels, and OIS, and a 20MP Sony IMX376K secondary camera sensor, mainly for depth information. On the front side, there’s a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The device is running the company’s own OxygenOS, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. However, the OnePlus is already a part of Android P Beta program and thus, users can also try out the upcoming Android P.

Just a couple of weeks back, OnePlus 2 received its OxygenOS 2.0.1 update to fix stagefright exploit. Now, the company has started rolling out yet another update, OxygenOS 2.0.2. As you can see from the version number, this isn’t a significant update. So, you can expect only a few bug fixes and stability improvements after installing this version.

The highlight of the update will be improvement in accuracy of the fingerprint recognition. So, if any of the few users who have got their hands on the device were facing fingerprint related issues, this update will fix that problem. Along with that, the version will also fix the annoying auto mute bug that existed on the previous version. There’s a new camera preview UX as well.

These are the only major highlights of the OxygenOS 2.0.2. However, the company is reportedly working on the OxygenOS 2.1 version which it plans to roll out sometime later this month. Given that the version number is 2.1 instead of 2.0.3, we can expect some new features and improvements in this update.

As for the v2.0.2, OnePlus is rolling out the update in waves, which means it may take some time until all the OnePlus 2 models are updated to the latest version.
