Belkin has released a new power bank in China that adds a few practical hardware features to the standard portable battery. The Belkin BoostCharge Pro Power Bank 10K with Motion Sensing Light is currently listed on JD.com for 329 yuan ($49).

To get the size down, Baseus used thinner internal components, including a 0.35mm charging coil and a 0.15mm NFC module, alongside a high-density battery cell. Wireless charging naturally generates heat, and thinner batteries often struggle with thermal management. To address this, the Picogo Air AM71 includes a few cooling measures. The internal structure uses an aerogel layer and a graphene sheet to move heat away from the battery, while the exterior has a grooved design to help with passive airflow.

According to Baseus, it will charge a standard iPhone to about 68%, or a Pro Max model to 60%. It supports up to 15W for wireless charging. The power bank comes with a built-in NFC tag. Tapping your phone against the power bank opens the Baseus app, which displays the battery pack’s remaining charge, current temperature, and overall battery health. The power bank snaps onto the back of the phone using magnets and works with the iPhone 15, 16, and 17 series, as well as Android phones that support Qi2.

The battery itself has a 10,000mAh capacity. In practical terms, Cuktech says this will charge a standard iPhone 17 about 1.7 times, an iPhone 17 Pro 1.4 times, or a Samsung Galaxy S25 around 1.45 times. If you need to charge your phone faster than the wireless pad allows, there is a USB-C port on the bottom. This port supports 30W wired charging, which can get an iPhone to 50% in roughly half an hour. You also use this same port to recharge the power bank itself at 30W.

On the outside, the power bank is covered in a liquid silicone material. This gives it a softer texture that is meant to prevent it from scratching the back of your phone when they are attached. It also has a built-in metal stand that folds out, so you can prop your phone up on a desk to watch a video or take a call while it charges.

To check how much battery is left, there is a small digital display on the side that shows the exact percentage, which is generally more useful than the standard four LED dots found on many older batteries.

Anker has announced the release of its new Nano Power Bank (MagGo, Plus) in Japan. Pre-orders are expected to begin shipping in late June 2026.

This support covers most iPhones from the 12 series onward running iOS 17.4 or later, though the iPhone 12 mini, 13 mini, and 16e are excluded.

For wired charging, a single USB-C port on the bottom provides up to 30W of output and handles 30W input for recharging the battery itself. If you charge two devices at the same time, the output is capped at 12W for the wired connection and 5W for the wireless connection.

Instead of moving to newer battery technologies like solid-state or sodium-ion, Anker is continuing to use standard lithium-ion cells. The company states that alternative battery types are currently too heavy and bulky for portable power banks.

Based on its own data, Anker says that standard lithium-ion cells offer a better weight-to-capacity ratio and avoid the potential airline travel restrictions or disposal issues that newer battery types might face. Anker refers to this refined version of its battery as Neo Lithium-Ion.

The company has also detailed the safety and hardware monitoring features for this model. The battery uses ATL cells and a fire-resistant chassis. To manage heat during use, the device includes an aluminum alloy heat dissipation layer and high-density graphene.

Additionally, the internal battery management system logs voltage and cell data. You can check the battery’s health and estimated replacement time using Anker’s mobile app, though accessing this specific diagnostic data requires connecting the power bank to a phone with a USB-C cable.

The Anker Nano Power Bank (MagGo, Plus) is currently only offered in black. The white version is scheduled for general release in the fall of 2026.

It is a minor feature, but it gives a normally boring utilitarian accessory a bit of personality.

Lenovo has announced a new power bank, the Legion P5, which is scheduled to go on sale in China on May 19 for 169 yuan (around $25). It is a 10,000mAh power bank that supports up to 100W fast charging.

Following a recent trend in portable batteries, this model includes a small TFT smart display on the front. It also includes a battery health menu that tracks total cycle counts.

When the power bank is depleted, it supports 100W input. If you use a wall charger capable of those speeds, it takes 2.2 hours to recharge from zero to 100%.

It is a relatively heavy device, weighing 631 grams with dimensions of 15.8 x 5.4 x 5.0 cm. Anker designed the dimensions so it fits properly on the back of supported iPhones, meaning it shouldn’t block the camera bump or stick out past the bottom edge of the device. It attaches using 17 built-in rubidium magnets, which provide a 12.8N magnetic force. It will also work through magnetic phone cases, provided they are under 1mm thick.

For charging, the specs are solid and practical. If you use it wirelessly, it outputs up to 15W for compatible iPhones. According to Anker, that will get an iPhone 17 Pro to about 40% in 30 minutes.

If you need to charge faster, there is a USB-C port that supports up to 30W for both charging your phone and recharging the battery pack itself. Using a cable, an iPhone 17 Pro can reach 50% in around 22 minutes.

The power bank uses ATL battery cells, which is the same supplier Apple uses for its devices. To keep things from getting too warm during use, the internal structure includes high-polymer graphene materials and a dedicated temperature control chip. Interestingly, you can also connect the power bank to Anker’s companion app to monitor the battery’s health and check its real-time temperature.

Xiaomi’s gaming-focused sub-brand Black Shark has unveiled the Black Shark Blade 2+ series in China, bringing updated versions of its compact magnetic power banks. While the overall concept remains the same, the newer models bring refinements in build and usability. A key change from the previous model is the magnetic surface, which now uses a UV-based coating designed to feel smoother and reduce the chances of scratching a phone’s back panel.

The series includes two capacity options. The 5,000mAh model focuses on portability, measuring about 0.8cm in thickness and weighing 105g. The larger 10,000mAh version increases thickness to 1.36cm and weighs 175g, offering more backup power while still maintaining a slim form factor. Both variants are built to attach directly to smartphones without adding much bulk.

Charging support is split between wireless and wired modes. Each model delivers up to 15W wireless charging. When using a cable, the smaller unit supports up to 18W output, while the higher-capacity version goes up to 22.5W. Support for multiple charging standards ensures compatibility across different devices.

Xiaomi is also emphasizing battery reliability. The company says the internal cells are similar to those used in Apple products, focusing on consistent output and longer service life. The units are rated for around 400 charge cycles, which is higher than typical compact power banks in this category.

The design follows a gaming-inspired aesthetic associated with the Black Shark brand. Sharp lines, visible capacity markings, and LED indicators give it a distinct look. A side button lets users quickly check the remaining charge, and a double press powers the unit off.

Magnetic attachment is handled by N52-grade magnets, which are intended to keep the power bank securely aligned with compatible devices during use. This ensures stable charging even while handling the phone.
