Hisense has officially launched the world’s first 150-inch screen-sound laser TV in China. The new model, called the Hisense Xplorer X1 Ultra (also known as Discovery X1 Ultra), expands the existing lineup that previously included 100-inch and 120-inch versions. The company has now introduced new 139-inch and 150-inch variants in the Chinese market.

The Xplorer X1 Ultra appears to be the Chinese version of the TriChroma Laser TV L9Q, which is expected to be sold globally. It doesn’t disappoint gamers either. The TV comes with a native 144Hz refresh rate and Game Accelerator 288, which enables up to 288Hz variable refresh rate (VRR) gaming in select scenarios.

It also supports FreeSync Premium Pro, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and includes TCL’s Game Bar for on-the-fly gaming adjustments. For motion clarity, the TV features Motion Rate 480 and MEMC frame insertion technology to reduce blur during fast-paced scenes.

The series comes with built-in audio by Bang & Olufsen and supports Dolby Atmos, including Atmos Flex Connect. TCL has integrated an mmWave-based Ambient Mode Sensor that detects user presence and activates screensavers or widgets.

As already mentioned, the QM9K is the first TCL TV to ship with Google Gemini. The voice assistant uses far-field microphones and contextual awareness to handle complex, natural-language commands and perform AI-based tasks directly on the TV.

Each model is powered by TCL’s QD-Mini LED backlight system, which combines Quantum Dot color reproduction with Mini LED backlighting for improved brightness, deeper contrast, and better halo control compared to traditional LED TVs. The 75-inch model tops out at 512 local dimming zones, with a native contrast ratio of 7000:1 thanks to an advanced HVA panel.

TCL is also pushing gaming performance hard here. The C6K supports a native 4K 144Hz refresh rate, VRR, MEMC 120Hz, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for smooth, tear-free gameplay. TCL’s Game Master suite further adds Gamebar, Superwide Gameview, and optimizations for ultra-low latency.

Xiaomi has officially launched its new TV S Mini LED 2025 series in China. The new models are now available for pre-sale and will go on sale starting May 22. The lineup includes four size options: 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches. The Xiaomo E5Q comes in six sizes, from a modest 50 inches all the way to a living-room-dominating 100 inches. Starting at 2,199 yuan (roughly $305), pricing tops out at 11,999 yuan (around $1,670) for the flagship 100-inch variant. But beyond the screen sizes, what Hisense has crammed into these panels is where things get interesting.

Each E5Q TV is built around the company’s U+ Mini LED Pro display system. On the 50-inch model, that translates to 128 precisely controlled lighting zones backed by dot-matrix local dimming and a lens-based focusing mechanism. This is the more expensive option between the two and features a Blue MiniLED backlight. This technology allows for improved picture quality, improved brightness, better contrast, and deeper blacks.

The screen has a peak brightness of 900 nits and uses Premium QLED tech with a dedicated quantum dot layer for enhanced color accuracy. The screen has 115 percent DCI P3 color gamut and Local Dimming support. Meanwhile, the Vision 7 skips the Mini LED tech but it still features a Blue LED backlight and can achieve 400 nits of peak brightness. It also arrives with the QLED display tech, quantum dot layer, and a 110 percent DCI P3 color gamut.

Both models feature HDR for enhanced contrast and colors along with Dolby Vision. Lumio also placed an emphasis on the audio system on these TV, with a quad 30W speaker setup that includes two full range drivers and two tweeters. The brand claims that the sound cavity is also 150 percent larger than the average smart TVs. The duo supports 24 bit audio processing with a sampling rate of 88.2KHz for better audio quality overall.

Skyworth has introduced the A5F Pro Mini LED TV, developed in collaboration with BOE. It features an industry-first Ultra Black Wide-Angle Paper-Like Screen for enhanced display performance.
