Audio-Technica will launch a special edition headphone, the ATH-AWSW DV, at Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 from April 18 to 20. Only 10 units will be made, and they’ll be available at the Audio-Technica booth (No. 28–32) at Makuhari Messe.

This is a wooden headphone featuring traditional Echizen lacquer and maki-e artwork showing Darth Vader. Each side of the headphone has a different design, created using official Lucasfilm assets made specifically for this product. The artwork was done by Japanese craftsmen using brush techniques, making each unit slightly unique.

The headphone has been tuned to bring out the depth in Star Wars music. Audio-Technica, known for over 20 years of wood headphone design, handled all production in Japan—from part sourcing to final assembly in their Tokyo factory. Each unit has a serial number.

These headphones weigh 415 grams and are equipped with large 53 mm drivers. They support Hi-Res Audio and offer a wide frequency range from 5 Hz to 45,000 Hz. With a sensitivity of 102 dB/mW and an impedance of 48 ohms, they can handle up to 2,000 mW of input power, making them suitable for high-performance audio setups.

All accessories match the Star Wars theme. The headphone stand is also made for display use. Sales will end once all 10 units are sold. If any remain after the event, there may be a second sale later. As for pricing, the headphones will cost 990,000 yen (~$6,700).

Unfortunately, tickets to the Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 event have already sold out. That said, you can still get your hands on some cool Star Wars-themed earbuds which Audio-Technica launched last month.

Tech companies have been increasingly collaborating with Hollywood studios to release special editions of their products tied to popular movies. These collaborations offer fans a chance to own a piece of memorabilia related to their favourite films while also providing tech companies with an opportunity to market their products to a wider audience. For example, Samsung has partnered with Marvel Studios in the past to release Avengers-themed versions of its smartphones, while Apple has collaborated with Disney to create Star Wars-inspired versions of its popular AirPods. Now Xiaomi is joining Apple, as the Chinese tech giant just announced a Star Wars-themed version of their Truly Wireless Earbuds.

The Star Wars franchise is a popular media franchise created by George Lucas. It includes a series of movies, TV shows, books, comics, and video games set in a fictional galaxy far, far away. The franchise has a massive fanbase and has had a significant impact on popular culture, inspiring countless works of art, music, and literature.

The tease poster revealed that this is an in-ear TWS headset. Upon further inquiry, IT House discovered that Xiaomi’s currently available earphones share a similar design with the new product, including the Xiaomi True Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones 3, priced at 319 yuan, and the Xiaomi True Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones 3 Pro, priced at 549 yuan. Details regarding the pricing of the special edition TWS earbuds will be announced tomorrow.

OnePlus recently launched OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition smartphone in India. The announcement took place during Comic Con in Bengaluru, India.

There were reports suggesting that the phone will be exclusive in India. However, the company has now confirmed that the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition will be available in Europe.

In its official blog post, OnePlus announced that the OP 5T Star Wars Edition will be available for purchase in Denmark, Finland, and Sweden. Further, it added that the early customers will be able to get it on December 13 at the premiere of The Last Jedi that’ll be shown at Tennis Palace.

Even though the smartphone was first announced in India, it will be first available in Europe. In India, the limited edition phone will be launched on December 14 at Carnival Cinemas Wadala, Mumbai. The tickets for the same will be available from Paytm on December 7.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition comes in white colour along with the familiar Star Wars logo engraved in red ink on the back panel, at the bottom of the phone. The alert slider has also been coloured red but the volume rocker and the power button remains black.

Globally, the OnePlus 5T smartphone is available in only one colour — Midnight Black. In China, it is also available in Lava Red colour. If you want the phone in White colour, this limited edition model seems to be the only choice as of now.

All the specification on this limited edition device remains same as the standard model. To remind you of the specs, the device comes with a 6-inch edge-to-edge full-screen display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage.

Apart from the display, another major improvement in the OnePlus 5T is the camera. Earlier this year, Lenovo-owned smartphone brand Motorola had announced a variety of special edition Moto Mods to commemorate the release of a movie Transformers: The Last Knight. Now, in a similar move, in honour of the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi film, the company is soon going to launch limited edition Star Wars Moto Mods in China.

The upcoming Star Wars Limited Edition Moto Mods are Style Shell Moto Mods, which are basically a removable back cover for the smartphone. It features an image of Darth Vader with his lightsaber.

It seems that the Limited Edition Star Wars Moto Mods will be launched sometime over the next few weeks. It is expected to be priced at 129 Yuan, which is approximately $20. It seems that the upcoming Moto Mods will be exclusive to China only, just like the special edition Transformers Moto Mods. We will let you know if Motorola plans to release the special edition Moto Mods in any other regions.

Motorola had recently launched Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa, a Moto Mod accessory for its Moto Z series of smartphones. As the name itself suggests, the snap-to-connect mod accessory features its own dedicated speaker. The accessory, which is powered by Amazon Alexa, comes with four mics, ensuring that it picks up the voice in relatively noisy environments.

Just a few days after announcing the gorgeous Lava Red OnePlus 5T in China, OnePlus took to India to reveal the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition. The special edition OnePlus 5T was unveiled at the Bengaluru Comic Con Event today. Permit us to say the force is strong with this one!

We first heard of the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition a few weeks ago even before the Lava Red variant launched. Rather than come in red as earlier reported, the phone is white with the familiar Star Wars logo engraved in red ink at the bottom of the phone.

The alert slider is now red but the volume rocker (and power button) is black. The phone itself wasn’t available for a hands-on experience at the event according to those who attended, so some details are still unconfirmed.

However, the phone is expected to come with themes and wallpapers related to the franchise or most probably, the upcoming movie – The Last Jedi.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition is said to go on sale on December 16th for a yet undisclosed price. Sources say only 150,000 units will be up for sale and availability may be limited to India. I am sure OnePlus will likely get a petition from fans to make it available in other markets.
