Asus had previously announced during CES 2020 back in January, so this means that a launch is imminent. According to a TweakTown report, it sports a 32 inch Mini LED display panel with 4K resolutions and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. The gaming monitor has a response time of 4ms, with 1000:1 contrast ratio.
The Chinese seller had the Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX gaming monitor listed for 42,999 Yuan (roughly 6,400 US Dollars), which even supports NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology. In the new gaming monitor, Asus is the first to feature VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification with 1,152 zone MINI LED backlighting. It also arrives with a wide color gamut of >90% DCI-P3 coverage along with 10 bit color depth and HDR support as well.

This monitor has been designed by the company to take full advantage of its large screen real estate and be used for both gaming and productivity. On the rear of the monitor, the Aura Sync enabled RGB ROG Logo is housed. Asus was originally planning on launching the monitor earlier this year with a price tag of 3,599 US Dollars and but the impacts of COVID-19 caused delays. Thus, the listed price is unofficial at the moment, so take it with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates.

The rocket service arrives from ExPace, which is a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. This service being offered was to place ads on the Kuaizhou-1A rocket and was purchased by Chang Guang Satellite Technology. The transaction was made on Taobao with Wei Ya (a popular host who is touted to be the sales queen in China) hosting the stream.

Notably, Wei Ya has more than 18 million followers on Taobao and the stream attracted over 19 million concurrent viewers, which is another feat that the streaming industry has achieved. The rocket in question is “a small launch vehicle” in the city of Wuhan, Hubei Province, and has already seen 8 successful commercial launches so far. The ads being sold allowed buyers to paint the body of the rocket and the launch platform as well. They could even visit the launch site and control the launch.

The Huawei Mate X was recently listed on the company’s official online store which indicated that it may go on sale in China soon. When the company had announced its 5G roadmap at the Huawei Global Analyst Conference in April, it had stated that the Mate X will be debuting in China in June.

Yesterday, the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G edition was spotted on the database of the 3C authority of China. It indicated that it may release in the Chinese market soon. After that, the Huawei Mate X TAH-AN00 also gained approval from the 3C body. All this points towards the Chinese firm launching the 5G enabled Mate X foldable phone in China fairly soon.

The Huawei Mate X comes with folded cover display of 6.6 inches. The AMOLED screen offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution of 1148 x 2480 pixels. When unfolded, the Mate X gives access to an 8-inch outer OLED display that supports a resolution of 2200 x 2480 pixels. It comes running Android Pie with EmUI out of the box, but that could change soon.

The Kirin 980 chipset of the Mate X is paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. You also get an extra microSD card slot, which is nice. The Leica engineered quad camera setup features a 40MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MPtelephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, a 16MP ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a ToF 3D camera. The Mate X comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Its packed with 4,500mAh battery that supports 55W rapid charging through USB-C.

Sun Art is market leader in the offline grocery market with an 8.2% market share according to Kantar Worldpanel.

The deal will actually be carried out by Alibaba’s subsidiary, Taobao China Holding. Taobao will form an alliance with Auchan Retail S.A. and Reuntex Group. It will invest HK$ 22.4 billion (~$22.9 billion) in return for a 36.16% stake (from Reuntex) in the business. The acquisition will see Taobao become the second largest shareholder in Sun Art after Auchan (36.18%) while Reuntex will have a 4.67% stake.

Alibaba will use the acquisition as a chance to tap into China’s $500 billion food retail market and increase its foothold in the offline market. In recent years, it has started to invest in physical stores. So far, it has spent up to $9.3 billion since 2015.

Alibaba, China’s biggest e-commerce store set a world record yesterday with sales of over $25 billion.

Alibaba is said to have processed 256,000 transactions per second via its mobile payment app, Alipay to arrive at ¥163.8 billion (~$25.3 billion) mainly via its stores Taobao and Tmall.

The new record is a 39% increase over last year’s ¥120.7 billion (~$17.9 billion). It has also raised Alibaba’s quarterly revenue by 61%.

Alibaba’s Single’s Day sale dwarfs the US’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping sales by a large margin. In 2016, retailers recorded $3 billion on Black Friday and $3.45 billion on Cyber Monday compared to Alibaba’s $17.8 billion on Single’s Day. Both figures were actually record sales for the shopping events.

It is important to explain how Alibaba makes its money from the sales. For sellers on Tmall, there is a commission and store fee that they are charged, while Taobao brings in money by providing stores with boosted ads.

Alongside the sales figure, Alibaba also released some interesting stats:

it recorded a total of 812 million orders

over 140,000 brands, of which 60,000 are international listed on Tmall.

167 sellers recorded over ¥100 million each in sales

17 sellers recorded over ¥500 million each in sales

while six merchants crossed ¥ 1 billion (~$150.9 million)

Alibaba’s rivals, JD.com on the other hand started its Singles Day promo from the first day of the month until 12th and recorded ¥127.1 billion (~$19.14 billion). While it comes in second place, it still shows Alibaba’s superiority as it recorded its own sales figure in 24 hours compared to JD.com.

For a phone with a 5.15-inch display, that should be sufficient. Nevertheless, a bigger battery is always welcome.

If you are willing to take the risk, you can triple the battery capacity of your Xiaomi Mi 6. Some sellers on Taobao are providing battery modification services.

The battery modification involves taking apart the back of the phone and replacing the battery with a bigger one the sellers say is from “Sony” and “much better” than the one it comes with. You can choose from three different capacities. There is a 6700mAh one for ¥220 (~$33), a 7000mAh version for ¥260 (~$38), and a 9000mAh variant for ¥340 ($50).

Bear in mind that your original rear plate won’t fit anymore, though you get a custom rear shell. You will also be left with a massive battery bump.

We don’t know how safe this is and doing this may void your warranty. A better solution is a battery case. There is one on Taobao that has a 6000mAh battery capacity and also gives the phone wireless charging. It is on sale currently for ¥98 ($14) which is cheaper and safer than the modified version.

Latest report says that the Xiaomi phone code-named Meri is actually the Xiaomi Mi 5c. Surprisingly, online mall, Taobao, has already listed the phone on its site.

While it is not unusual for a retail site to list a phone before its official release, this still caught us unawares as phones that are usually listed before their release date are phones that are very popular and whose release are confirmed such as Samsung’s S series flagships, a Nexus or an iPhone.

The Xiaomi Mi 5c is listed on Taobao for 999 Yuan ($144) but they’ve also added that its a sale price and not the final price.

The page says the Mi 5C is also VR ready and you can decide to add a VR glasses (or a power bank or bluetooth headphones) to your order. One weird thing is that the specification page lists the specs of the Xiaomi Mi 4c and not the specs of the Mi 5c that have leaked. The processor is listed as a Snapdragon 808, the screen size as 5-inches, and the release date as September, 2015.

The Xiaomi Mi 5c on the other hand is expected to launch with a 5.5” display, Xiaomi’s in-house processor named ”Pinecone”, and the release date is still unknown. All these contradictions lead us to doubt the authenticity of the images. So until Xiaomi officially launches this phone, we’ll have to take this with a pinch of salt.

While we don’t want to start on how ridiculous the Airpods look, we’d rather talk about the availability. The Apple Airpods are not yet on sale, if you check the Apple store it is listed as unavailable. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on it, that is if you are comfortable buying knock offs.

Chinese online mall Taobao has a pair of Airpods look alike made by a manufacturer called Dacom that are priced between ¥125-¥299 (~$18-$43) which is way cheaper than the ¥1095 ($159) Apple is asking for.

READ MORE: OnePlus Unveils Bullets V2 Earphones with Better Optimized Audio

The Dacom 7S X1 has a standby time of 6 days and a bluetooth range of 20 meters. You can use it to answer calls too but we don’t think it sports all the bells and whistles of the original Airpods like the ability to switch between your connected devices; automatic pause and play when you pull them out of your ears and insert them back; or double tap into Siri. For earbuds priced at $18, there is a limit to what we can expect.

Not too long, the Le Max 2 got its price slashed by up to $160 on OppoMart, this time around the Snapdragon 820 powered flagship has gotten a 500 Yuan ($76) price cut on online shopping mall Taobao.

Now the Le Max 2 is available off Taobao for 1549 Yuan ($233), down from 2,099 Yuan ($315). That’s because aside the 500 Yuan initial price slash, there is also a 50 Yuan discount during purchase. So you get to pay 1549 Yuan ($233) instead of 1599 Yuan. Now, this should be the cheapest price tag we’ve seen on the Le Max 2.

The Le Max 2 happens to be the first device to sport the Snapdragon 820 flagship chipset from Qualcomm. The flagship rocks a 5.7-inch display with 2k resolution, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of non-expandable internal storage, as well as a 3,100mAh battery with support for fast charging. In addition, the dual-SIM device packs a 21MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie sensor upfront. The Le Max 2 is devoid of the 3.5mm audio jack and instead has a USB Type-C port for headphones and a host of connectivity options are available on the device.

There’s no AMOLED screen nor Android Wear (or regular android) and neither will you be able to change watch faces like you can do on the Huawei Watch. Do you remember the Elephone W2 Smartwatch? That’s what Meizu’s new watch reminds me of.

The Meizu Light Smartwatch however has it’s own strong points such as its stylish design and 240 days of standby power which is pretty impressive. The watch comes in 5 varieties to match different occasions/activities. There’s one with a chain-strap that comes in gun metal black and silver colours; if you prefer leather, you can also pick one of two colour options, brown or black; and a final one that has a blue and white nylon strap.

Specifications/Connectivity

Dimensions for the watch says it will have a 42 mm diameter dial and 12 mm thickness. The Meizu light smartwatch’s surface is protected by sapphire glass and features a 316L solid steel band and frame. The leather version has its straps made from Italian leather. There’s bluetooth 4.0, a three-axis gyroscope, an accelerometer (for measuring steps), magnetic sensor, and a 270 mAh battery built-in. It is also water resistant up to 99 ft/30 meters (3 ATM).

Pairing the watch to your phone should be pretty easy after downloading the app as long as your phone supports bluetooth 4.0 and above.

Price

The watch is priced according to the straps. The unit with the nylon strap costs 999 Yuan ($150), the version with the leather strap costs 1299 Yuan ($196), and the one with the chain strap costs 1499 Yuan ($226).

If you want to purchase this watch, you should head to Taobao’s crowdfunding page and save yourself some cash as the price will definitely increase if you decide you want to wait for re-sellers.

The first online store to sell the Haswell-E is none other than Taobao. Right now, most sellers in Taobao are predetermined right now but one seller claims that it can already ship this processor, even posting a picture of the processor. It seems to be credible.

Regarding the price of the Haswell-E as sold by this manufacturer, the top-knotch edition’s (i7-5960) price is somewhere between 8199 RMB (1334.41 USD) and 8999 RMB (1464.61 USD), while the mid-end version (i7-5930K) costs 4999 RMB (813.60 USD) and the low-end version (i7-5820K) costs between 2999 RMB (488.09 USD) and 3499 RMB (569.47 USD).

The official prices were released by Intel the other day. The Core i7-5960X will cost 999 USD (5136 RMB), while the i7-5930K will cost 583 USD (3580 RMB) and the i7-5820K will cost 389 USD (2390 RMB).
