The Chinese smartphone maker launched the T2 Pro back on September 22. The device sports a tall 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,300 nits of peak brightness, and Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, the Vivo T2 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC that is paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

The front houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear features a 64-megapixel dual camera setup on the rear. A 4,600mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 66W fast charging. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP52 water and dust resistance, and Android 13 OS based FuntouchOS 13. The device weighs just 176 grams and measures 7.36mm in thickness.

The Vivo T2 Pro has finally gone on sale in India. The smartphone is available in two color options, namely New Moon Black and Dune Gold. It has a starting price tag of 23,999 INR for its 8GB + 128GB configuration. On the other hand, the 8GB + 256GB model will sell for 24,999 INR. As a part of its special launch offer, the brand is even offering a 2,000 INR instant discount on ICICI Bank and Axis Bank Credit cards. The device can be purchased starting at 7:00 PM IST later today (29th September 2023). It is available exclusively via Flipkart and Vivo’s official store.

The Vivo T2 Pro features a fresh new design that makes it look quite premium despite its mid-range price tag. It comes with a slim and lightweight body, which should make it comfortable to hold. The Vivo T2 Pro is set to launch tomorrow (22nd September 2023). The device will go official at 12 PM IST in India. However, the company has officially confirmed the camera specs of this device ahead of the launch event.

Vivo T2 Pro Camera Specs

The Chinese tech giant is launching the new smartphone in India tomorrow. The T2 Pro 5G is the third entry in the T2 lineup and its official camera specs have been officially teased. Based on a listing on Flipkart (a popular e-retailer in India), the T2 Pro will feature a 64-megapixel primary camera on the rear. This is in line with our previous report, which mentioned how the T2 Pro is basically a rebranded version of the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G.

The Vivo T2 Pro’s main camera also offers OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) alongside the Auro Light LED ring on the back. The rear will also include a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while the front houses a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. Apart from this, the online listing confirmed that the device will feature a curved display since it was found in the curved AMOLED display section. The display is expected to offer a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 1,200Hz touch sampling rate and Full HD+ resolution.

Vivo T2 Pro 5G confirmed to feature Dimensity 7200 SoC ahead of Sep 22 Indian launch

Vivo is set to launch the T2 Pro 5G smartphone on September 22 in India. The smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart. That being said, the brand has now officially confirmed the chipset inside the T2 Pro 5G.

Vivo has officially confirmed that the T2 Pro 5G will come with a Dimensity 7200 5G processor. A previous Geekbench 6 listing of the device has revealed that it scores 1,161 and 2,625 points in single-core and multi-core tests. Reports say that the smartphone scored 6,00,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark test.

For those unaware, the Dimensity 7200 is a fairly new chip from MediaTek’s camp based on TSMC’s 2nd Gen 4nm process. Oppo recently launched the A2 Pro smartphone in China with the same Diemsnity 7200 chipset.

The Vivo T2 Pro 5G is anticipated to feature a 3D curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering an ultra-slim design in flashy gold. Its curved edges enhance grip and comfort. On the back, there’s an aura light encircling the camera module, which could be a unique selling point.

Speculations suggest a dual-rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, while details about the secondary sensor are yet to be confirmed. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC is said to be coupled with options for 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. A 4600 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support is expected. The smartphone is rumored to share similar specifications with the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G.

We had smartphone launches almost every day recently. Despite that, even more handsets are scheduled to go official over the next week.

As of writing this article, five brands have confirmed events in the next few days. These companies are Honor, Motorola, Redmi, Vivo, and Tecno.

Two of them will unveil foldables phones. While one of them will take wraps off new-gen models in a globally popular mid-range series.

As far as regions are concerned, two of these conferences will take place in China, one in Singapore, and the remaining two in India.

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the handsets that are about to launch soon.

Upcoming Smartphones Next Week

Honor Purse V

The Honor Purse V was initially showcased as a concept smartphone at IFA 2023 earlier this month. But recently, the brand confirmed that this device will be presented in China on September 19 (Tuesday) and will be available for purchase.

The Purse V from Honor is an outward folding foldable smartphone like the Huawei Mate Xs series. However, it is designed more as a fashion accessory than a productivity machine.

As the name suggests, the phone mimics a purse with its detachable straps and multiple AOD (Always-on Display) styles for its screen. Rumors say that it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC and supports 35W charging.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo will debut in India on September 21 (Thursday). Since it is official in Europe, we know everything about it.

It is a mid-range smartphone positioned below the Edge 40. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7030 chipset and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W wired charging.

It comes with a 6.55-inch FHD+ 144Hz curved OLED display, 50MP (wide) + 13MP (ultra-wide dual camera system, 32MP selfie camera, dual stereo speakers, and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Redmi Note 13 Series

The Redmi Note 13 series is set to launch in China on September 21 (Thursday). This was expected as the brand had already teased it earlier this month.

As per teasers and leaks, the lineup will consist of at least three models, namely Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. All of them will arrive with a revamped design and upgraded features.

The Pro variants will sport 1.5K OLED displays with 1800nits peak brightness level and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The screen on the Pro Plus will be curved and it will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra chip.

Vivo T2 Pro 5G

The Vivo T2 Pro 5G is planned to launch in India on September 22 (Friday). It will be positioned higher than Vivo T2x 5G and Vivo T2 5G which debuted earlier this year.

Going by the teasers and leaks, the phone is a rebranded iQOO Z7 Pro. For the unaware, the iQOO device itself is a rebadged Vivo S17e.

The handset will come with a thin and light design, a 120Hz curved AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, Aura Light, 66W charging support, and more.

Tecno Phantom V Flip

The Tecno Phantom V Flip is scheduled to launch on September 22 (Friday). It will be unveiled at an event in Singapore.

This product is Tecno’s first-ever clamshell foldable smartphone. It will have a distinct design, thanks to a circular cover screen inside a ring camera module.

According to leaks, the device will arrive with a 6.75-inch 144Hz main display, a 1.39-inch secondary screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC, a 64MP main camera, and 45W charging support.

Vivo T2 Pro 5G Appears On Geekbench Ahead Of Next Week’s Launch

Vivo is confirmed to launch the T2 Pro 5G smartphone in India next week. It will join the Vivo T2 5G and T2x 5G phones that were announced earlier this year in the country. The upcoming offering will likely arrive as the successor to the T1 Pro 5G that debuted last year. Now, ahead of the launch, the device has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform revealing its core specifications.

Vivo T2 Pro 5G spotted on Geekbench

The Vivo T2 Pro 5G has appeared on the Geekbench database with the model number V2321. It has a motherboard codenamed k6886v1_64 and it comprises of six cores clocked at 2GHz and two cores ticking at 2.80GHz. This corresponds to the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. The listing reveals 8GB RAM onboard and it will ship with Android 13 OS out of the box.

The Vivo T1 Pro 5G scores 1,161 and 2,625 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core test results. The database does not reveal any additional information,

The Vivo T2 Pro 5G is confirmed to come with a curved display with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout. It has a square camera module confirming the presence of ring light flash and OIS. The device is also seen in a Gold color option with a gradient back panel. The Flipkart landing page of the T2 Pro 5G will reveal more specifications leading up to the launch event,

As per a past report, the Vivo T2 Pro 5G scored 6,00,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark test. It is expected to be priced above the Vivo T2x and T2 5G smartphones.
