Oppo Find X7, Find X7 Ultra launch date, configurations, color options officially confirmed

Oppo has officially confirmed that it will unveil the Find X7 series of smartphones at 2:30 pm (local time) on Jan. 8, 2024, in China. In addition, the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra smartphones are now listed on Oppo China’s online store for reservations. The official listings have confirmed the configurations and color options of both smartphones well ahead of the official announcement.

Oppo Find X7

Reports have revealed that the Find X7 will come equipped with the Dimensity 9300 chipset. The official listing reveals that it will come in four configurations, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage.

The Find X7 will be available in four shades, such as Starry Sky Black, Sea and Sky, Desert Moon Silver, and Smokey Purple.

Oppo Find X7 Ultra

The Find X7 Ultra is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It will be available in three variants, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage.

When it comes to color options, the Find X7 Ultra will come in choices such as Pine Shadow Ink, Sea and Sky, and Desert Moon Silver.

The Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra have a similar design, with the front featuring a punch-hole display with curved edges and a dual-tone back panel with a massive camera module. The Find X7 has a triple-camera unit, whereas the Find X7 Ultra has a quad-camera system. The Ultra variant will be the world’s first smartphone to feature dual periscope telephoto cameras. In addition, it will also be the first-ever phone to feature the one-inch Sony LYT-900 50-megapixel camera sensor as the primary snapper.

It is said that there will be a third device called the Oppo Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communication Version, which will come with support for two-way satellite communication. The rest of its specs will be identical to the Find X7 Ultra.

OnePlus 16’s design, launch timeline tipped

According to the tipster, the upcoming OnePlus 16 prototype continues to follow the brand’s existing design direction rather than introducing a major visual overhaul. The device is said to feature a 6.78-inch flat display with ultra-narrow, symmetrical bezels enabled by LIPO packaging technology. Under the hood, it is expected to feature the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.

On the rear, the phone is expected to retain a compact square camera module, which debuted on the OnePlus 15. DCS added that the OnePlus 16 is currently scheduled to launch in October. In the comments, when asked whether the device’s battery plan had been finalized, the tipster replied that it is expected to pack a battery of around 9,000mAh.

Responding to another comment about the possibility of the iQOO 16, one of the OnePlus 16’s closest rivals, also launching in October, DCS said it is possible, noting that the late September launch window is already very crowded.

Previous reports have claimed that the OnePlus 16’s ultra-thin bezels will measure less than 1mm and that the display will support a 185Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to be the company’s first phone to come preloaded with ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.

Reports have also revealed that the OnePlus 16’s rear camera setup could receive a major upgrade in the form of a new 200-megapixel primary camera. It may be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The handset is also expected to support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Recent reports have revealed that Oppo is gearing up to unveil its first A7-series phone, dubbed the A7 Pro Max, in China. Ahead of its expected launch, the brand has released its first teaser, showcasing the phone’s rear design for the first time. Here’s a look at what’s known about the device.

As seen above, the Oppo A7 Pro Max features a slightly raised rectangular camera module on the back, with the camera sensors positioned on the left and an LED flash unit on the right. The power button and volume keys are located on the right edge of the device.

Reports have revealed that the camera setup will include a 50-megapixel main camera alongside a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens. For selfies, it is said to feature a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.

On the front, the device is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display offering a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It will come preloaded with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

The key highlight of the A7 Pro Max is its battery, which is expected to be the largest ever seen on an Oppo smartphone. The footnote in the above image confirms that it packs a huge 10,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. Despite the large battery, the device is said to measure just 8.47mm thick and weigh 226 grams.

A recent Geekbench listing revealed that the A7 Pro Max will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. It will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and possibly up to 512GB of storage.

Vivo has finally unveiled the Vivo X300e, which has been in the news for the past few days. It is the fifth X300 series phone to debut in China after the Vivo X300, Vivo X300 Pro, Vivo X300s, and Vivo X300 Ultra. While the Vivo X300 FE is also part of the global X300 lineup, it has not been released in China. Thunderobot is releasing a new 24.5-inch gaming monitor, the 25Q6A Pro, on July 31. The display has an official retail price of 1,649 yuan (around $244) in China. The company has also mentioned a subsidized launch price starting somewhere in the 1,300 yuan ($192) range, though the exact final discount hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The monitor features a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel manufactured by TCL under its FFALCON brand ecosystem, with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. For gaming, it offers a 360Hz refresh rate and a 1ms GTG response time to deliver smoother motion and quicker pixel response.

For lighting, the monitor relies on a Mini LED backlight system. It features 180 local dimming zones, which helps improve black levels by turning off the backlight in darker areas of the screen. It can also reach a peak brightness of 800 nits and has a DisplayHDR 600 certification.

On the color side, Thunderobot says the panel covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 99% of the sRGB space, with a factory color accuracy of ΔE < 2. It also includes support for variable refresh rates through AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility to help prevent screen tearing.

The physical hardware is fairly standard. The monitor measures 556 x 226 x 501 mm and weighs 5.3 kg with the stand attached, or 3.3 kg without it. The included grey stand allows for height adjustments and rotation, and there is a standard 100 x 100 mm VESA mount on the back if you prefer to use a monitor arm.

For connectivity, it has HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, along with a standard audio output jack. It doesn’t have built-in speakers and uses a 65W external power adapter. Wallhack launches K-001 gaming keyboard with Rapid Trigger, 8K polling & Hall Effect switches

Wallhack, a company primarily known for making glass mousepads, is releasing its first keyboard. The K-001 is a wired, 65% mechanical keyboard that uses magnetic Hall Effect switches. It is designed mainly for competitive gaming, where adjustable key inputs are becoming a standard requirement.

Wallhack K-001 Specifications

The K-001 is built from CNC-machined 6063 aluminum and comes in two standard colors: Natural and Slate. It uses a fixed mounting system for adjusting the typing angle.

The keyboard sits flat at zero degrees out of the box. If you want an angle, you have to use an included screwdriver to attach one of two solid aluminum risers to the bottom, which tilt the board at either 4 or 7 degrees.

Inside, the keyboard uses a tray mount design with a black anodized aluminum plate. There are four layers of sound-dampening material, including a silicone mid-layer and foam, to reduce hollow noises when typing.

For the switches, Wallhack partnered with Gateron to make the KS-TR Linear magnetic switches. The keyboard comes standard with the medium-weight version (48-63gf), though light and heavy variants will be sold separately.

Because the switches are magnetic, you can adjust the exact point where a keypress registers, down to a 0.01mm resolution, and enable rapid trigger features. You don’t necessarily need software to change this; there is a physical stepped dial on the top right of the keyboard that lets you adjust the actuation point and rapid trigger sensitivity directly.

The keycaps are double-shot PBT. Wallhack added a specific light guide to the switches that directs the LED lighting straight up through the keycap letters. The goal here is to prevent the backlight from bleeding out around the edges of the keys onto the switch plate.

On the technical side, the K-001 has an 8,000Hz polling rate and a 16,000Hz scan rate. For software configuration, Wallhack is using a web-based tool called Wallhack Terminal. Instead of downloading a dedicated app to your computer, you use a browser to change deeper settings like gamepad emulation or SOCD rules.

Honor Robot Phone unboxing leak reveals packaging design and gimbal camera in action

Honor’s Robot Phone has been in the news for months — a new leak now adds another chapter to that coverage. A leaked unboxing video has surfaced online on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, showing the box contents before launch.

Honor recently opened reservations for the phone while confirming several hardware details. The reservation announcement followed a string of developments that hinted at a launch soon. The device also recently cleared MIIT and 3C certification in China, and a separate specifications leak detailed the display and chipset ahead of the reveal.

Honor Robot Phone Unboxing

The new unboxing video adds packaging detail to all of this. In the footage, the phone sits on the left side of the box, while the right side carries the slogan “Your First Robot Phone.”

The back of the phone carries a large rectangular camera module, as you may have seen many times by now. The secondary camera and flash sit on the right, while the main camera with its robotic arm gimbal is on the left. Apparently, sliding the lens cover triggers the arm to unfold automatically in 0.8 seconds. You can also see a custom animation on screen the moment the arm extends.

When folded away, the arm sits flush with the body and doesn’t interfere with normal grip. Deployed, it handles 360-degree rotation tracking, automatic composition, and subject tracking.

As for stabilization, the device has a combination of three-axis optical stabilization, the 4DoF gimbal, a dedicated coprocessor, and AI algorithms, reaching CIPA 5.5-level performance.

Honor previously showed off the camera’s real-world output at the Shanghai International Film Festival, where the Robot Phone captured cinematic portraits of festival jury members. With the unboxing leak now circulating and preorders already open, the August launch looks close to confirmed.

Although Vivo hasn’t acknowledged it, previously leaked materials have confirmed that the brand is working on the Vivo S2 for the Indian market. Hands-on photos of the phone’s dummy unit have now surfaced online, thanks to an X leak.

The images show a handset with a matte black rear panel, a vertical camera module tucked in the top-left corner, and a sticker that confirms the “Vivo S2” name. A separate photo places the black unit next to a rose-gold model.

The rear camera setup has two circular lenses close together at the top, while a third round sensor with a light ring around it is placed a bit further down the same module.

The leak also says the device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 processor, a 50MP OIS main camera with 8MP ultrawide, and a 1.5K AMOLED display that refreshes at 120Hz.

What else do we know?

We have earlier reported that the Vivo S2 has surfaced with model number V2576 in an IMEI database listing.

The S2 marks the return of Vivo’s S-series to India after a long gap. The original tip about the S-series comeback surfaced back in May, when a tipster first flagged that Vivo was working on new S2 series phones for the Indian market. At the time, details on the chipset and specs were still unclear.

More recently, we reported that the Vivo S2 is tipped to launch in early August, while sales are expected to start around mid-August. The report placed the phone in the premium mid-range segment, going up against phones like the Oppo Reno 16 Pro.

The original Vivo S1, launched in 2019, came with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED screen and a MediaTek Helio P65 chip, priced under Rs. 18,000. The new S2 is expected to bring notably better hardware, though Vivo hasn’t confirmed the chipset yet.

Insta360 X6 retail box leak reveals battery life, accessories, and price ahead of launch

New leaks are spilling more details on the Insta360’s upcoming X6 action camera before its official debut. We’ve already covered the camera’s redesign, specs, and pricing leaks as well as its FCC certification, and now its actual retail packaging has also surfaced online, confirming several details in the process.

Leaker Igor Bogdanov shared the first photo of the X6’s official box. It states that the camera can record 8K at 30 frames per second in full 360-degree mode for up to 140 minutes on a single charge. The packaging also confirms two features mentioned in earlier leaks: a low-light mode called PureVideo, and a new swappable lens system called Replaceable Lenses 2.0.

Separately, a Reddit user going by FunnySushi1738 posted several hands-on photos of the camera. The images, which have already been shared widely elsewhere without credit, place the X6 next to the older Insta360 model and GoPro’s now-discontinued Max 360 camera. The comparison shows the X6 is a bit taller than the GoPro but shorter and wider than its own predecessor, backing up earlier reports of a more compact body.

The same Reddit post also shows the back of the retail box, which lists the accessories included in the bundle. Among them is a 2,600 mAh battery, referred to as the Extra Xtreme battery.

Insta360 is reportedly set to launch the X6 on July 30. Based on pricing rumors circulating before this leak, the bundle shown in these images could cost around €789, or roughly $897. A version without the extra accessories is expected to sell for about €589 (around $670) in Europe.

With the packaging now public and a launch date reportedly just days away, official confirmation of these specs and pricing should not be far off.

Keychron launches G6 HE UltraLight Mouse with MagOptic Switches

Keychron has introduced a new mouse called the G6 HE UltraLight in Japan. The mouse uses a symmetrical, ergonomic shape and measures 123.7 x 63 x 41mm. Inside, it runs on a Nordic nRF54LM20A controller paired with a PixArt PAW3955 optical sensor.

The highlight of this mouse is that it has a pair of MagOptic switches on the left and right click buttons. These switches let you switch between optical and magnetic mode. They use electromagnetic sensing, which lets users fine-tune how the input responds, while still delivering the sharp, physical click that regular electromagnetic switches often lack. Keychron rates them for 100 million clicks, matching the durability seen in similar high-end mice such as the M7 wireless mouse.

What’s thoughtful of Keychron is it’s also offering two choices for battery. One has a built-in, fixed battery that weighs 42g. The second version has a swappable battery and weighs 46g, with extra weights available to bring the total up to 52g or 62g for users who prefer more heft. Both draw from a 350mAh cell.

Keychron says the mouse lasts up to 340 hours over Bluetooth, or around 35 hours on 2.4GHz at an 8kHz polling rate, similar to the connectivity flexibility found in the brand’s M2 4K mouse.

On the outside, the shell is made of ABS and PC plastic with a nano-coating designed to resist slipping and wear. The color options for the G6 HE mouse include black, white, or five matte, semi-transparent finishes. That said, the fixed-battery model comes only in black.

The Keychron G6 HE starts at 11,968 yen (about $73) for the fixed-battery version during its crowdfunding campaign, while the swappable-battery model starts at 14,344 yen (around $87).

The mouse joins a growing group of Hall-effect and magnetic-switch peripherals from Keychron, following devices like the K2 HE keyboard, which also uses magnetic sensing for more precise input control.

Redmi 17 4G full specifications leak ahead of launch

The upcoming Redmi 17 4G recently made an appearance in an EPREL listing, confirming the battery specifics. A fresh leak has now filled in nearly everything we didn’t already know about the Redmi 17 4G.

Start with the chipset, since it settles a debate that’s been running for weeks. Multiple certification listings had pointed to a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor, largely because the Redmi 17 4G shares model numbers with the rumored POCO C95 Pro 4G on the GSMA and TKDN databases. This new leak says otherwise: it lists MediaTek’s 12nm Helio G91-Ultra instead.

If the two devices are indeed rebadged versions of each other, as their model numbers suggest, the POCO C95 Pro 4G may end up with the same MediaTek chip rather than a Qualcomm one, though that remains unconfirmed.

Redmi 17 4G Specifications

The rest of the hardware fits the budget segment Redmi has built this series around. A 6.9-inch flat display runs at 1600 × 720 resolution with an adaptive refresh rate topping out at 120Hz, 675 nits of typical brightness (825 nits in High Brightness Mode), 8-bit color depth, an 83% NTSC gamut, and DC dimming. TÜV Rheinland has certified the panel for low-blue-light, circadian-friendly output, and flicker-free performance.

The design carries over the Dynamic RGB light and Gorilla Glass 7i protection that showed up in renders we covered last week, and the phone will reportedly ship in Oak Green, Deep Blue, Black, and Lotus Purple, measuring 170.12 × 78.42 × 8.8mm and weighing 232 grams with an IP64 rating.

Memory options include 4GB/128GB, 4GB/256GB, 6GB/128GB, and 6GB/256GB, running on LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.

Likewise, the camera on the back is a 50MP main sensor with a 5P lens and f/1.8, backed by an auxiliary lens, while an 8MP f/2.05 camera handles selfies. Video tops out at 1080p/30fps.

The device has a 7,500mAh cell with 45W wired charging. Rounding things out is HyperOS 3, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, AI face unlock, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC that depends on the market.

Vivo X300e specs leak via China Telecom listing ahead of July 27 launch

Vivo‘s X300e is just a day away from its official China debut, and a new listing on the China Telecom website has now revealed nearly the complete spec sheet for the device. The company had already confirmed the phone’s design and pre-orders earlier this month, and this fresh leak fills in most of the remaining details before the phone goes on sale.

The listing identifies the phone by its model number, V2612A. According to China Telecom, the X300e carries a 6.59-inch display and a triple rear camera setup made up of a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP secondary sensor, and an 8MP third lens, paired with a 50MP front camera for selfies.

Memory-wise, buyers will be able to choose between 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB storage configurations.

Under the hood, the listing confirms the Vivo X300e uses a Snapdragon SM8845 chip, which is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in its marketing name. The processor was tipped for the X300e in earlier reports as well. The chip runs at speeds up to 3.8GHz across eight cores, and the phone ships with Android 16 out of the box.

Moreover, the Vivo X300e is expected to come in three color options: Moonlight White, Sunlight Orange, and Midnight Black. The China Telecom page lists the phone’s dimensions at 157.52 × 74.33 × 7.99mm, with a weight of roughly 203 grams and a glass body. The listing also confirms a 7,200mAh battery.

In the box, you can expect a power adapter, a protective case, a data cable, and a user manual. Citizen has released two new versions of its Tsuyosa 60 automatic watch in the US and UK markets. Both models are priced at $675 or £429 and feature a yellow gold-tone stainless steel finish. Design Details

The design of the Tsuyosa 60 centers around an integrated stainless steel bracelet, meaning the watch case and the band connect directly without traditional protruding lugs.

Both the 37mm and 40mm sizes include a textured dial, applied indices for the hour markers, and a date window located at the 3 o’clock position. The dial is covered by sapphire crystal, a material typical for watches in this price tier that provides standard scratch resistance. The bracelet fastens using a deployant clasp with push buttons.

Inside the case, both watches operate on Citizen’s caliber 8310 automatic movement. As a mechanical movement, it does not require a battery. It winds itself using an internal oscillating weight that rotates with the natural movement of the wearer’s arm.

Casio launches new limited-edition orange G-Shock watch in the US

Casio has added a new limited-edition model to its US G-Shock lineup: the DW6900MO26-4, created in collaboration with Bay Area rapper Larry June and his lifestyle brand, Midnight Organic. The watch is currently listed on Casio’s website at $170 and is expected to go on sale later this month.

After teasing the audio-focused Moto Pad 70 Groove earlier, the company has now revealed key details about the standard Moto Pad 70 on a Flipkart microsite. It’s expected to arrive around August 8.

Motorola seems to be targeting different types of users with the Pad 70 lineup.
