Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 and Galaxy XCover 7 arrive on Bluetooth SIG; Launch Seems Imminent

After waiting over 3 years, Samsung is set to launch the new affordable smart band, i.e., the Galaxy Fit 3. Considering the public certification listings from over the past few months and the recent leaks, they point towards the nearing launch of the Galaxy Fit 3. In addition, the Watch has made it to Bluetooth SIG along with the upcoming rugged smartphone, the Galaxy XCover 7.

As per the Bluetooth SIG listing, the new smartphone and the Galaxy Smartwatch bundle Bluetooth 5.3. Apart from this, there’s hardly any information about the devices’ specifications.

Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 Specifications (Expected)

However, as per a recent timeline leak, the Galaxy Fit 3 is set to launch in the H1 of 2024. It will launch months before the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup, but there won’t be any special event to mark its launch. The smartwatch appears to bundle an OLED display slightly bigger than its predecessor and will offer features like sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, etc. It will bundle GPS, accelerometer, and gyro sensor among other sensors.

The Galaxy Fit 3 fitness band appears to arrive in three different colors – Grey, Gold, and Black.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 Specifications (Expected)

On the other hand, the Galaxy XCover 7 seems to succeed the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro. The new smartphone has already been to the BIS India and GCF with model SM-G556B. It confirms to bundle Snapdragon 778G SoC for 5G connectivity and will have NFC. The Galaxy XCover 7 will house a 4050 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy X series is known for its ruggedness, and the XCover 7 followed the same. It is further expected to offer better grip and shock absorption with its grooved back panel. The smartphone will be MIL-STD-810H compliant and will offer IP68 dust and water protection.

The smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench featuring Dimensity 6100 Plus SOC, and an 8GB RAM. It runs Android 14 out of the box. The launch of the Galaxy XCover 7 is quite near, and it may launch at the price of around ~$599.

In October, Asus confirmed that the upcoming ROG Phone 8 series of gaming phones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. In the subsequent weeks, one of the ROG Phone 8 variants has appeared in the databases of Geekbench and China’s 3C certification platform. The arrival of the ROG Phone 8 series seems imminent, as it has now received approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority. In addition, the same certification platform has also been certified by the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra.

As can be seen, the ROG Phone 8 identified with model numbers such as ASUS_AI2401_D, ASUS_AI2401_A, ASUS_AI2401_C, and ASUS_AI2401_E has been approved by the Bluetooth SIG authority.

The ROG Phone 8 Pro bearing similar model numbers, such as ASUS_AI2401_A, ASUS_AI2401_C, and ASUS_AI2401_F, has also received Bluetooth SIG certification.

To recall, the AI2401_A variant was spotted with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16 GB of RAM, and Android 14 on Geekbench, and it was spotted with a 65W fast charger in China’s 3C certification. On the other hand, the AI2401_D variant has appeared with 24 GB of RAM on Geekbench. There is a possibility that one of the ROG Phone 8 variants, probably the one with 24 GB of RAM, could be marketed as the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate.

It was reported in August that the Zenfone 10, which debuted earlier this year, could be the last Zenfone series phone from the brand. However, Asus quickly debunked the rumor by officially confirming that it will continue to produce the Zenfone line. Now, as can be seen in the above screenshot, the Zenfone 11 Ultra bearing the ASUS_AI2401_H is also in the works. Now that the Ultra variant has been spotted, it appears that the lineup may also include at least another model bearing the Zenfone 11 moniker. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the specifications of the Zenfone 11 series.

The Bluetooth SIG certification also shows that all the above devices will support Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The ROG Phone 8 series may likely launch in Q1 2024 in different markets.

Lenovo has just announced a brand-new gaming laptop from its popular Legion series. The Legion R7000 is the latest notebook built for gaming and it features some capable specs and features. So here are all the details.

Lenovo Legion R7000 Specs

The new Lenovo Legion R7000 model is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840H processor that is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. This GPU features 8GB of VRAM and brings in DLSS technology for smoother gaming performance with Ray Tracing enabled. Under the hood, the notebook houses 16GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB of PCIe 4.0 storage. On the front, the Legion R7000 sports a 15.6-inch Full HD display that offers 300 nits of peak brightness, DC dimming support, and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The Chinese PC maker has announced the Legion R7000 for a price tag of 6,499 Yuan (roughly 909 US Dollars). The pre-orders for the laptop will kick off today (8th December 2023), while the first sale will begin on 11th December 2023. Other notable features include a 100 percent sRGB color gamut, 100W PD charging support, and a TrueStrike Keyboard that has a 1.5mm travel.

Interestingly enough, the Legion R7000 seems to be the direct successor to the R7000P, which was announced back in June 2022. The Legion R7000P was announced alongside the R9000P and features up to an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU. Unlike the new Legion R7000, the R7000P offers a smoother 165Hz refresh rate. So the 2023 gaming laptop clearly arrives with improved hardware over its predecessor.

Now, the Japanese tech giant has released the Access Controller for the PlayStation 5. As the name suggests, this new peripheral is also built for gamers with diverse needs. The Sony Access Controller was made available for pre-order back from PlayStation’s official website. The new control launched with a customizable analog stick, which is adjustable via a slider. It even comes with holes in the base of the controller that lets you fasten it and avoid accidental drops.

To improve personalization, all of the controller’s button caps can be swapped. So one can customize them to their own needs. Sony developed the Access Controller in collaboration with AbleGamers, which is a nonprofit aimed at improving accessibility in gaming. Interestingly, the product only comes with one joystick and the brand is recommending buyers to get two Access Controllers at the same time. Apart from this, you can also use the DualSense or a second joystick through one of the controller’s four expansion ports.

Oppo Find X7 series has received approval from the 3C certification platform, as both the Find X7 and X7 Pro models have emerged in the database of China’s 3C certification platform. With an important certification under the belt, it appears that the Find X7 series may debut in January in China.

The above screenshot shows that two upcoming Oppo smartphones bearing PHZ110 and PHY110 model numbers have received approval from China’s 3C authority. The listings reveal that both smartphones may ship with a 100W charger. To recall, the Find X6 supported 80W wired charging, whereas the X6 Pro offered 100W wired charging. The Pro variant also offered 50W wireless charging.

The PHZ110 device is said to be the Find X7, and it has been previously seen in the databases of benchmarking platforms such as AnTuTu and Geekbench. As per reports, the device will ship with a 1.5K OLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a Dimensity 9300 chipset, 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The PHY110 variant could be the Find X7 Pro, which is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Recent reports have revealed that it will have a 6.82-inch quad-curved OLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K resolution. Its rear camera setup is said to feature a one-inch 50-megapixel LYT-900 primary camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 50-megapixel IMX890 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and another 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (IMX858) with 6x optical zoom. It is also said to arrive with support for satellite communication. The rest of the specifications of the Pro variant are under wraps.

The latest electric bicycle released by Stromer is a 983Wh powerhouse. It is called the Stromer ST5 Pinion e-bike. It sports a huge battery that delivers an extended assistance range of up to 180km. The Stromer ST5 Pinion is an improvement from the original ST5 model launched in 2021. As a reminder, Stromer also recently launched the ST# Urban and ST7 Alinghi Red Bull Limited Edition e-bikes this year.

The Stromer ST5 Pinion is equipped with a Pinion C1.9 Smart Shift which is more reliable than the previous Shimano XT Di2 11 Speed 11.42 shifting system. The new Pinion Smart Shift system provides a smoother riding experience than its predecessor.

Stromer is offering a 10-year warranty for the aluminum frame

The ST5 Pinion features the Stromer sound module which provides audible warnings and notifications while on the move. The new Stromer e-bike comes with a longer fender to protect your feet from getting soiled while riding in muddy or wet conditions. The bike has an aluminum frame fitted with a Supernova headlight. It also has a rear light and brake light.

The ST5 Pinion has a 750W/ 850W rear wheel SYNO Sport motor for the US and other markets respectively. The top speed of the Stromer ST5 Pinion is either 45km/h or 32km/h subject to local regulations. The 983Wh battery of the e-bike delivers an assistance range of up to 180km and it can be fully recharged in 5.5 hours.

The bike has anti-lock braking and Pirelli tires. It also features an on-board display, a phone mount, and app support via Bluetooth connectivity. The companion Stromer OMNI app allows you to activate GPS tracking, automatic locking/ unlocking, and customization of ride settings.

Stromer ST5 Pinion e-bike is available in an Imperial Red Launch Edition or an Adventure Green version. The Imperial Red version of the e-bike is priced starting at $11,990 while the Adventure Green option will go on sale in March 2024. The Stromer ST5 Pinion can be purchased directly via the Stromer website.

Gin has unveiled its latest electric bicycle from the Gin X lineup. The new Gin X e-bike comes with a Tesla-grade 615Wh battery, a Bafang motor, and a new sturdy but functional display. Its integrated display is placed between the handlebars and shows sundry ride and performance information including battery status.

Features

The new Gin X e-bike has an enhanced appearance than its predecessor and its new integrated screen is more secure, as it cannot be accidentally detached or stolen. The bike is powered by a Bafang motor that provides a pedal-assisted top speed of up to 25km/h. There are five ride modes in the bike and it also features a thumb throttle. The bike comes with a high-quality 615Wh battery pack (Tesla grade) with a range of 121km. The e-bike has Zoom hydraulic disc brakes and a suspension fork system, as well as 27.5 x 2.1-inch rugged tires.

The new version of the Gin X e-bike with an integrated display first appeared on several official Gin social media channels. The new model is signposted by the feature-rich and more secure display when compared with its predecessor. The new e-bike has an aluminum frame and integrated lights. It weighs about 20kg and is now available for purchase by UK customers. Anker has launched a new USB-C charging station that delivers up to 100W charging to devices. The product that has just been unveiled for the US market is called the Anker 7-in-1 USB-C Charging Station (100W). The multi-charging device is capable of decluttering your workspace by charging up to 7 gadgets simultaneously.

Features

The Anker 7-in-1 USB-C Charging Station has two USB-C and two USB-A ports at the front and three AC outlets at the rear. It can thus charge up to seven devices simultaneously. The maximum charging speed of 100W is achieved via USB-C when used alone. According to Anker, the new charging station can recharge a MacBook Pro 16-in to 50% in half an hour. When using the two USB-C ports simultaneously, the device can deliver 67W:30W or 45W:45W power to the two connected gadgets. The USB-A ports deliver a maximum of 12W charging speed.

The new Anker charging station comes equipped with Anker’s ActiveShield technology which monitors the device and avoids short circuits, overvoltage, and overheating. ActiveShield can check the charging station’s temperature up to 3 million times a day to guard against overheating. Now, Motorola has released two of its devices in Peach Fuzz, the color chosen by Pantone as the 2024 Color of the Year. Motorola’s Head of Customer Experience and Design, Ruben Castano, emphasizes the significance of color in the evolving partnership with Pantone. AI PCs are expected to dominate the market, with their assembly ratio reaching 81% by 2027. This trend is set to begin in 2024, with over half of new PCs in China, the largest PC market globally, being AI PCs.

The Rise of AI PCs

Lenovo, a leader in the global PC market, introduced the concept of AI PCs and also announced the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro AI Ultrabook 2024 recently. They plan to launch these PCs in September 2024. AI PCs are designed to understand users better, creating personalized knowledge databases and facilitating natural AI interactions. Other major manufacturers like HP and Acer are also gearing up to release AI PC solutions between 2024 and 2025.

Intel, a leading chip manufacturer, has announced the first AI PC acceleration program, aiming to integrate AI performance into over 100 million PC devices by 2025. Additionally, Intel, Lenovo Group, and iQiyi have agreed to collaborate in the AI PC sector.

AI PCs are characterized by their ability to run AI applications, such as ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion, locally. This offers a more personalized user experience while ensuring data privacy. The definition of AI PCs includes two stages: AI Ready, for PCs equipped with AI chips and capabilities, and AI On, indicating fully operational AI models in PCs. However, the most recent revelation managed to astonish even the Gizmochina team, which has covered every scandal involving the social media giant for years. According to reports, the “Imagine with Meta AI” technology was created using users’ Instagram and Facebook photos.

The company used 1.1 billion photos from Instagram and Facebook to train its new artificial intelligence model. In response to concerns, Meta defended its actions by clarifying that they exclusively used images from public posts, asserting that user privacy was not compromised. It’s important to note that using publicly available photos doesn’t breach privacy standards.
