OnePlus is all set to unveil its upcoming flagship smartphone – OnePlus 12 in the coming some time. The smartphone has already been part of leaks and rumors, its display was even showcased at an event in China by OnePlus. Bearing the model code CPH2581, the global variant of the OnePlus 12 appeared on the NBTC certification website.
The listing does confirm the impending global launch but fails to shed light on its specifications and features. However, it will launch in China with model PJD110. Let’s dive deeper into the expected specifications and features corroborated by previous leaks.
OnePlus 12 was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database revealing the presence of the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It will bundle 100W fast charging as the device has appeared on China’s 3C and CQC certification websites. It could also come with 50W wireless fast-charging
OnePlus’s upcoming flagship appears to house a triple-rear camera module consisting of a Sony LYTIA Sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX581 sensor with an ultra-wide angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x zoom.
Unlike last time with the OnePlus 11, we hope the OnePlus 12 global launch to take place alongside its China announcement. It took almost a month for OnePlus to launch the OnePlus 11 globally last year.
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is likely to launch the K70 series smartphones by the end of November. Details about the upcoming lineup have been gradually surfacing online, including renders and benchmarks. Now, Xiaomi officials have hinted at the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip for the Redmi K70 family.
Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi China and General Manager of Redmi, took to Weibo to express his admiration for the second-generation Snapdragon 8 processor, calling it the “flagship darling of 2023” due to its exceptional performance and energy efficiency.
He also questioned whether the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could “replicate the glory of the Snapdragon 870.”
Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, echoed Weibing’s sentiments, stating, “8g2 is indeed a generation of God U, with a good reputation.”
While neither executive explicitly mentioned the Redmi K70, the timing of their posts suggests that the smartphone will indeed be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
This aligns with Redmi’s strategy from the previous K60 series, where the Pro model featured the flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, while the standard K60 opted for the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
The Redmi K70 series is expected to include three models: the Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro, and Redmi K70E. The Redmi K70 Pro will spearhead the lineup, boasting the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
The Redmi K70, powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 8, will offer similar performance at a more affordable price. Finally, the Redmi K70E is expected to be the first smartphone to feature the Dimensity 8300 processor.

OPPO is gearing up to launch the Reno 11 series and the Pad Air 2 next week. The brand has been dropping teasers on its Weibo handle revealing key features of the upcoming devices. Now ahead of the launch event, the Reno 11 has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The device was recently spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website too. Read on to know the details revealed by the Geekbench database.
OPPO Reno 11 spotted on Geekbench
The OPPO Reno 11 is listed with model number PJH110 on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. It has a motherboard codenamed k6895v1_64 comprising of four cores at 2GHz, three cores at 3GHz, and a primary core ticking at 3.10GHz. The setup corresponds to the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor that is already confirmed. The database listing reveals 12GB RAM and that the device will ship with pre-installed Android 14 OS out of the box.
The OPPO Reno 11 scores 1,208 and 3,406 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core test results. The benchmarking database listing does not reveal any additional details of the upcoming device.
As per teasers, the standard Reno 11 is already confirmed to be powered by Dimensity 8200 SoC. The Reno 11 series is also said to be the first smartphones to ship with the recently announced ColorOS 14 out of the box. Several major tech companies, including Apple, Disney, and Warner Bros Discovery, have paused their online advertising campaigns on X, formerly known as Twitter, after owner Elon Musk made an antisemitic remark on the platform.
The companies’ decision came in response to Musk’s reply to an X post that accused “Jewish communities” of pushing “hatred against whites.”
Major brands pull ads from X/Twitter over antisemitic posts
In response, Apple, and Disney have halted their X/Twitter ad campaigns, as first reported by Axios and The New York Times, respectively. Warner Bros Discovery, IBM, Paramount Global, and Lions Gate Entertainment have also suspended campaigns on the site.
An IBM spokesperson said that the company had “zero tolerance for hate speech and discrimination” and that it had “immediately suspended all advertising on X while we investigate this entirely unacceptable situation.”
The move comes as Musk faces growing criticism for his handling of X. Earlier this week, the site was accused of platforming antisemitism after it was revealed that ads from several major companies, including Apple and IBM, were being displayed next “to content that touts Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party.”
Musk has also been criticized by White House spokesman Andrew Bates, who said that Musk’s remarks were “unacceptable” and “hideous.” Bates also accused Musk of repeating “the lie behind the most fatal act of Antisemitism in American history.”
The suspension of advertising by several major companies is a significant blow to X’s finances. The site relies heavily on advertising revenue, and the loss of these advertisers could have a major impact on its bottom line.
The controversy surrounding Musk’s remarks is just the latest in a string of controversies that have plagued X since Musk took over the company in October 2022. Musk has been accused of everything from firing employees without cause to reinstating the accounts of banned users.
It remains to be seen whether Musk will be able to weather this latest storm, but it is clear that his behavior is having a serious impact on X’s reputation and business.
Samsung Foundry, the semiconductor chip manufacturing arm of Samsung Electronics, is making a comeback in the chip foundry market. After losing several key clients, including Apple, Nvidia, and Qualcomm, to rival TSMC, Samsung is now poised to reclaim some of its lost ground.
The turnaround is being attributed to Samsung’s significant improvements in its 4nm chip fabrication technology. Reportedly, the company has managed to match TSMC’s yield and performance for 4nm chips.
Samsung could manufacture AMD’s Zen 5c chips
This progress has caught the attention of AMD, which has reportedly decided to use Samsung Foundry’s 4nm process for its next-generation Zen 5c processors. The lower-end models in the Zen 5c lineup are expected to be made using Samsung’s 4nm process, while the higher-end models will utilize TSMC’s 3nm process.
The successful production of AMD Zen 5c chips by Samsung could potentially open the door for AMD to consider Samsung Foundry’s new 3nm GAA process in future endeavors.
Kim Yang-paeng, a researcher at the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade, believes that “if Samsung successfully secures an order for AMD’s 4-nano chips this time, it will pave the way for transactions in the ‘big chip’ field for servers, where Samsung has traditionally been less dominant. In the future, cutting-edge processes like 3-nano could become a reality for Samsung, further expanding its influence within the industry.”
Samsung’s improved chip fabrication capabilities are also attracting attention from other companies, particularly in the Generative AI segment. With TSMC’s chip production capacity overburdened due to the surge in demand for AI-related chips, companies are turning to Samsung Foundry as an alternative, given that these two companies are the only ones in the world capable of producing 3nm and 5nm chips.

Caviar, a luxury brand from Dubai, is known for creating custom smartphone designs using rare materials and unique patterns. They have recently unveiled a new collection for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which takes inspiration from Norse mythology and emphasizes themes of masculinity and dynamism.
Caviar Versus Collection
The standout piece in the collection is the $9,000 iPhone 15 Pro Max Viking. It features a unique design with an ancient Viking arrowhead fragment dating back to 850-1000 AD embedded in it. The chassis is made of forged carbon, resembling the color of Lamborghini sports cars, and it’s enhanced with 24K gold frames giving the impression of the shape of a helmet, adding a luxurious touch to the phone.
Caviar’s iPhone 15 Pro series also includes other models like the Windstorm, Verdant, and Nord, each with unique color schemes and design elements. These models are available in four chassis colors – Blue (Nord), Green (Verdant), Black (Windstorm), and Grey (Viking) – providing a range of options for customers. While Apple‘s own iPhone 15 Pro might not offer bright colors, Caviar addresses this gap by introducing custom chassis in striking blue and green hues, along with the more subdued black and grey.
The series utilizes premium materials such as fine 24K gold and titanium, known for their durability and aesthetic appeal. The use of forged composites in dark green, blue, and grey adds a touch of sophistication to the devices.
Price-wise, the collection starts at $6,860 for the iPhone 15 Pro Windstorm, with the Viking model being the most expensive at $9,000. The Verdant and Nord models are priced similarly to the Windstorm. Each of these models is part of a limited edition, with only 17 units available for the Viking and 99 units for the Verdant, Nord, and Windstorm models. The company also launched the UFO collection for the iPhone 15 series last month.
OpenAI, the organization behind the revolutionary ChatGPT, has announced a major shift in its leadership. Co-founder and CEO Sam Altman has been removed from his role following a board review that questioned his candor. This significant move signals a new direction for OpenAI, a leading figure in the ever-evolving world of artificial intelligence.
Altman has seen some crucial milestones unfold in the company
The decision came after the board found Altman was “not consistently candid” with them, leading to a loss of confidence in his leadership. Mira Murati, the Chief Technology Officer, has stepped in as the interim CEO while the search for a permanent replacement is underway. This transition marks a critical juncture for OpenAI, highlighting the importance of transparency and trust in the fast-paced tech industry.
Altman’s tenure at OpenAI was marked by significant milestones, including the global rise in popularity of ChatGPT. He has been a prominent figure in AI, often seen engaging with the public and sharing insights about the potential and challenges of AI technology. Despite his departure, his contributions to the field and OpenAI’s growth are undeniable.
OpenAI has also announced that Greg Brockman, the President and Board Chairman, will step down as chairman while continuing his role within the company. This reshuffle at the top level underscores the dynamic nature of the AI sector and the need for adaptable leadership.
As OpenAI navigates this leadership change, its key business partner, Microsoft, remains committed to their long-term partnership. Microsoft‘s support is crucial, given its significant investments and role in powering OpenAI’s AI systems. TIme will tell what this decision spells for the
Volkswagen, a renowned car manufacturer, is facing challenges at its largest electric vehicle (EV) plant in Zwickau, Germany. Due to weaker demand for certain EV models, the company has had to adjust its production strategies. This situation reflects broader trends in the EV market and raises questions about the future of electric mobility.
The plant also encountered supply issues for the AP550 electric motors
The Zwickau plant, pivotal in Volkswagen’s EV production, recently reduced its output. This decision was driven by a decline in demand for models like the Volkswagen ID.3 and Cupra Born. Additionally, the plant encountered supply issues for the new APP550 electric motors, causing a halt in the production of popular crossover/SUV models.
This development is significant for a couple of reasons. First, it shows the volatility in the EV market. Consumer preferences can shift rapidly, and manufacturers must be agile to adapt. Volkswagen’s experience underlines the need for flexibility in production planning and the importance of closely monitoring market trends.
Second, the situation at Zwickau hints at the competitive pressure from other EV manufacturers. The rise of Tesla’s production in Europe, coupled with the influx of electric cars from China, is reshaping the landscape. Traditional car manufacturers like Volkswagen must innovate and possibly rethink their strategies to stay competitive.
Despite these challenges, Volkswagen’s commitment to electric mobility is pretty impressive. The Zwickau plant’s reduced production is a temporary setback, not a defeat. It’s an opportunity for Volkswagen to reassess and realign its strategies with the evolving demands of the EV market. The company’s ability to navigate these changes will be crucial as it seeks to maintain its position as a leader in the transition to electric vehicles.
The Apple Vision Pro 2, anticipated after the intriguing debut of its predecessor at this year’s WWDC 2023 event, has already stirred up user interest. Leaked information suggests that Apple is actively working on the Vision Pro 2 model, even before the initial version hits the market. Let’s delve into the technical specifications of the upcoming device. Here are the details…
Leaked Details on Apple Vision Pro 2 – What to Expect!
As per insights from MacRumors, the second-generation mixed reality goggles from Apple will maintain the design aesthetic of its forerunner. The device is expected to retain the familiar curved design and button layout from the first model. The development phase, known by the code name Project Alaska, indicates a departure from the round speaker areas seen in the initial version. Instead, Apple is opting for “flat and regular along their length” forehead areas.
Recent documents from MacRumors allude to a sound accessory, but details remain scant. Analysts speculate it might be an external speaker. Two designs for upper ventilation are reportedly under consideration: one mirroring the vents of the first-generation Apple Vision Pro and the other featuring two small clusters of holes. Additionally, a notable shift is observed in the strap design, transitioning to a flat strap akin to those commonly found in backpacks.
Experts suggest that Apple may continue with the external battery option offered for the first version of the Apple Vision Pro. Now, let’s take a closer look at the technical specifications of the Apple Vision Pro 2 model:

The Google Pixel 5a is the threshold of devices eligible for the new beta build and it is currently priced at $210.50 via Amazon. Some of the issues that have been resolved with the new update also include package manager crashes when installing some apps, issues with the Feedback app, and 5G connectivity problems in some units. There are several other changes that are aimed at improving the overall user experience.

Samsung has disclosed a new data breach that exposed the personal information of some of its customers in the United Kingdom (UK).
The company says that the breach impacted only customers who made purchases from the Samsung UK online store between July 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020.
Hackers exploit bug in third-party application used by Samsung
In a letter, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a platform user, Samsung said the breach was discovered on November 13 and was the result of a hacker exploiting a vulnerability in a third-party application used by Samsung.
The exposed data may include names, phone numbers, postal and email addresses. However, Samsung clarified that “the issue did not impact your password or financial information.”
Samsung has taken steps to address the security issue and has reported the incident to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office. This is the third data breach Samsung has suffered in two years.
In late July 2022, hackers accessed and stole Samsung customers’ names, contacts, demographic information, dates of birth, and product registration data.
In March 2022, the data extortion group Lapsus$ breached Samsung’s network and stole confidential information, including the source code for Galaxy smartphones.
