Details

Xpeng is an electric car startup firm with a growing portfolio of impressive concept vehicles. The latest offering is called the Land Aircraft Carrier is designed for use by emergency service providers operating in difficult terrain. It has to be stated that although the Land Aircraft Carrier concept has a similar design to the Cybertruck, it is not a direct copy or clone of the Tesla powerhouse. Net profits also surged to CNY 10.413 billion ($1.458 billion), representing an 82.16% rise. These results highlight strong market support and operational efficiency, consistent with their earlier forecast of a significant net profit increase for the first three quarters of 2023.

Although this quarter’s profits didn’t surpass the CNY 10.954 billion ($1.534 billion) reported in the mid-year, it does establish a historic high for BYD. This achievement marks the first time they have exceeded the CNY 10 billion milestone within a single quarter, a feat they previously accomplished only on an annual basis in 2022.

BYD’s financial success can be primarily attributed to strong vehicle sales. In September, they introduced 287,454 new vehicles, with the majority being passenger cars at 286,903 units, reflecting a substantial 42.8% year-on-year increase.

Over the first nine months of the year, cumulative sales reached an impressive 2.07 million vehicles, demonstrating a remarkable 76.23% surge from the previous year. These figures underscore BYD’s growing prominence in the automotive sector and the effectiveness of its market capture strategy.

Additionally, BYD is expanding its brand presence through its subsidiary, Formula Leopard, by opening 70 new direct-operated stores, with 10 more planned. They aim to increase consumer touchpoints in 60+ major cities by the end of 2023, focusing on improving customer experiences and service quality.

BYD has also expanded its presence in 2023 across several countries, including Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and Thailand, with a focus on electric vehicles and batteries. They’ve formed partnerships with local companies and governments to produce electric buses and vehicles. However, there was a setback in India as their $1 billion electric vehicle factory proposal was rejected.

As per a tweet by known tipster Parag Guglani, the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G is expected to include a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have a 50-megapixel triple rear camera with 10x zoom, 5-megapixel, and 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, the smartphone will have a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

It will offer up to 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB. Additionally, it will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and be powered by the MediaTek MT6835 aka the Dimensity 6100+ processor running on Android 13. Memory options will include 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and color choices will include Black and Blue.

Through an earlier Geekbench listing, we know that the 4G variant of the Galaxy A15 will have a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, paired with 4GB RAM and Android 13. Currently, there is no confirmation on a launch timeline, however, Paras Guglani has claimed that the 5G variant will cost $149.

The 11-point code puts emphasis on “safe, secure, and trustworthy AI,” offering guidelines for companies to identify and mitigate risks throughout the lifecycle of AI products.

Rather than just outlining what not to do, the code encourages companies to be transparent. It suggests that firms should regularly publish reports detailing the capabilities and limitations of their AI systems, as well as any observed misuse. This could serve as a catalyst for a culture of responsible AI development, moving the industry from a reactive to a proactive stance on ethical concerns.

While the European Union has been a trailblazer in AI regulations through its stringent AI Act, other nations have taken a more economic growth-oriented approach. The G7 code, thus, serves as a middle ground, harmonizing the global approach toward AI ethics and safety. The design of the E-Pop embodies Neco’s belief that an urban e-mobility model needs not to be dull and boring. Neco specializes in small-displacement petrol-engine scooters and commuter motorcycles. The E-Pop therefore marks Neco’s entry into the electric two-wheeler segment. The E-Pop has a similar performance rating as the typical e-bike or moped in the US. It also has a design similar to the Honda Ruckus with its exposed frame. Indeed, the Neco E-Pop looks like a compact version of the Ruckus.

The E-Pop is equipped with a 1.2kW rear hub electric motor that delivers a top speed of 45km/h for the model. Its 48V 28Ah battery gives the bike a range of about 60km on a single charge. The battery is removable and can be recharged on or off the bike.

The E-Pop has a double rear shock system and a front telescopic fork. It uses 10-inch wheels and disc brakes at both front and rear. The E-Pop has full LED lights, a keyless start, a built-in luggage rack, and a USB charging port. The E-Pop weighs about 55kg and its practical folding handlebars make it easier to store and transport.

Recently, the device surfaced on the TENAA certification site with key specifications. Although the exact launch timeline of the upcoming smartphone remains a mystery, leaks, and rumors have revealed plenty of information. On AnTuTu, the Realme GT 5 Pro carries a model number RMX3888 which is the same as TENAA listing. The smartphone records 5,29,065 points in the CPU test and 9,14,327 points in GPU. In memory test, it scores 4,40,192 points whereas in UX, it performs 3,46,112 points. In terms of overall performance, the Realme GT 5 Pro scores 2,229,696 points in the AnTuTu test.

Apart from the Realme GT 5 Pro, Vivo’s X100 and the OnePlus 12 were also spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark platform. The X100 with the unannounced Dimensity 9300 SoC leads the pack whereas the GT 5 Pro comes second and the OnePlus 12 at third place. Both the upcoming flagships from Realme and OnePlus are confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

As per the TENAA listing, the Realme GT 5 Pro is expected to come with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display bearing a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will reportedly pack up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The device is tipped to be backed by a 5,400mAh battery unit with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. In September this year, Realme teased a periscope telephoto lens inside a circular camera module. It is potentially expected to debut on the GT 5 Pro. Vivo’s flagship X100 series have been doing the rounds of the rumor mill since the last few weeks. It is rumored to launch in China on November 17. The lineup is expected to comprise of standard, pro, and pro plus variants. They will arrive as the successor to the last year’s Vivo X90 series. While we wait for the official announcement from the brand, the standard Vivo X100 has been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmarking website. It reveals the smartphone’s score in various aspects.

The Vivo X100 has been listed on AnTuTu benchmarking platform with model number V2309A. Overall, it scored 2,249, 858 points. The listing reveals that it has the unannounced Dimensity 9300 processor comprising of one 3.25GHz core, three 2.85GHz cores, and four 2GHz cores. In the CPU test, the device scores 5,18,632 points. Meanwhile, in the GPU test, the Immortalis- G720 MC 12 registered 9,18, 790 points.

As per the listing, the smartphone has 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. In the memory test, it logged 4,74,306 points. The Vivo X100 will feature a 120Hz refresh rate and it scored 3,38,400 points in the UX test. The benchmark listing does not reveal any additional details. Software-wise, the upcoming offering will ship with Android 14 OS out of the box.

iQOO is gearing up to unveil the iQOO 12 series smartphones in China on November 7. The Vivo sub-brand has been teasing key details of the upcoming offerings. The iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro will arrive as the successors to the last year’s iQOO 11 duo. Now, ahead of the launch next week, the standard model has appeared in leaked hands-on images revealing key specifications. Read on to learn more below.

iQOO 12 surfaces in leaked hands-on images

The iQOO 12 carries a model number V2307A. The images reveal the smartphone with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout and a flat display surrounded by thin bezels. As for the core specifications, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor clocked at 3.2GHz. This was already confirmed earlier. The image also mentions 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There will also be 12GB virtual RAM technology onboard. The upcoming offering will feature Vivo’s V1 Imaging chip for enhanced photography performance. The iQOO 12 is seen in a Black color option in the leaked images.

As per teasers, the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro have the same design with a protruding square camera module with slightly curved edges. It houses three sensors out of which one is a periscope lens. Both devices are teased to feature a 100x tele lens. The upcoming offerings are also confirmed to pack a Q1 e-sports chip that is a dedicated display processor designed to enhance gaming performance.

The iQOO 12 is teased to come in leather-textured Red color options whereas the iQOO 12 Pro is set to come in a White variant with BMW’s iconic blue, black, and red stripes.

Redmi 13C was recently seen in a real-life image with its retail box. Now, a Spanish YouTube channel has posted an unboxing video of the phone that gives us a look at the 13C’s retail package contents, design, and key specs. The video also includes a few camera samples. You can check it out below!

The video shows the phone in its retail box, which is fairly simple and unassuming. Inside the box, we find the phone itself, a charging cable, and a power adapter.

Regarding the specs, the Redmi 13C has a 6.59-inch IPS screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. It has relatively noticeable bezels on all sides, with a teardrop notch on the front and a plastic build on the back. The unboxing video shows the 13C in three colors, green blue, and black with a glossy finish.

Around the back, the phone has three cameras housed in two separate circular cutouts. The main sensor is a 50MP unit, paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the phone has an 8MP front-facing camera.

Likewise, under the hood, the Redmi 13C is powered by a Helio G85 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also has a dedicated slot for a microSD card for storage expansion. The phone runs on Android 13-based MIUI.

Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery that charges up to 18W through a USB-C port.

The video reveals almost everything about the Redmi 13C, except for its price. We’ll have to wait for the launch to find out that, which still hasn’t been confirmed by the brand.

OnePlus 12 spotted on IMDA certification site, global launch could happen soon

OnePlus has started teasing the upcoming launch of the OnePlus 12 smartphone in China. So far, the teasers have confirmed that the smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, along with an X1 Oriental Screen by BOE. Additionally, a new certification has hinted that the global market can expect the smartphone sooner than usual.

As we know, OnePlus usually launches its flagship smartphone in China along with the Indian market. Other global regions get the device at a later date. However, an IMDA certification spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma hints at an earlier-than-expected launch for Singapore. The listing reveals that the OnePlus 12 bears the model number CPH2581. A OnePlus 12 device featuring the same model number has also emerged on Geekbench recently.

According to leaks and speculations, the OnePlus 12 is anticipated to maintain the same design as its predecessor. The device has already been confirmed to sport a 6.82-inch curved OLED display featuring a BOE X1 panel. Camera-wise, it’s rumored to house a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a powerful 64MP periscope unit, promising top-tier photography capabilities. Powering the device will be a robust 5,400mAh battery, which supports fast 100W wired charging and efficient 50W wireless charging. Furthermore, the phone is expected to have a USB 3.2 port for seamless data transfer.

New Microsoft Xbox Policy: Only Officially Licensed Accessories Allowed

What determines the success of a console manufacturer? Is it the number of consoles sold? In fact, contrary to what you might think, that alone isn’t a strong indicator of success. This is because manufacturers actually incur an average loss of $100 for each console they sell. The real goal here is to increase revenue in the long run by selling games and other complementary products after the console sale.

Of course, accessories also play a significant role in this industry. Licensing agreements between manufacturers are a substantial source of income, and they aim to enhance it. In line with this, Microsoft is implementing a new policy, effective November 12, 2023, that will prevent unauthorized third-party accessories from being used with Xbox consoles.

Microsoft’s new policy to block unauthorized third-party accessories on Xbox consoles will be enforced through error code 0x82d60002. Players who attempt to use an unauthorized accessory will see this error message and be given a two-week grace period to stop using the device. After the two-week grace period, the accessory will be blocked from use.

Microsoft advises players to return unauthorized accessories to the store where they were purchased or contact the manufacturer for assistance. Players who are looking for new accessories for their Xbox console should purchase officially licensed products. Microsoft maintains a list of authorized third-party partners on its website.

It remains to be seen how gamers and third-party accessory manufacturers will react to this change.

Apple is gearing up for its ‘Scary Fast’ product event that is scheduled to take place on October 30 at 8 pm ET. The Cupertino-based tech giant is widely anticipated to launch the upgraded 24-inch iMac and MacBook Pro models. The company may also announce the new iteration of its silicon chipset. While the details have been scarce till now, Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter has shared some technical information of the M3 chipsets just hours ahead of the launch event.

M3 chipset details leaked

Gurman in his newsletter reveals that Apple’s M3 chip lineup will include the M3, M3 Pro, and the M3 Max. All three processors will be based on 3nm architecture that will give Apple the headstart over rivals like Qualcomm, Intel, and Nvidia who are yet to commence chip manufacturing on the same process node.

The standard M3 chipset is said to comprise 8 CPU cores of 4 performance and energy efficiency cores and 10 GPU cores. The configuration is the same as the M2 but enhanced memory configuration will reportedly offer a performance boost. Meanwhile, the M3 Pro SoC is tipped to come in two versions – one with 12 CPU cores (6 performance and 6 energy efficiency) and 18 GPU cores. The other version will likely be with 14 CPU cores and 20 GPU cores. Lastly, the M3 Max will be the top-of-the-line chipset that is expected to come in multiple configurations. Gurman suggests that one version may have 16 CPU cores and a whopping 40 GPU cores.

Gurman says that the M3 processor line is touted to be a considerable leap from the M2 bringing improved speeds as well as better efficiency. We will learn more official details tomorrow.

Earlier today (30th October 2023), Vivo announced the new mid range Y100 5G smartphone model. But this wasn’t the only product revealed during this launch, as the company officially revealed the pricing and availability details regarding the Vivo TWS Air 2 earbuds for the Chinese market.

The Chinese tech giant first announced the truly wireless earbuds alongside the Y33t and Y78t smartphones in its home market. However, the brand hadn’t revealed the pricing and launch details of the Vivo TWS Air 2. But during the Y100 5G launch, the company confirmed that the new wireless earphones will be sold for a price tag of 149 Yuan (roughly 20 US Dollars). It will be available for purchase via Tmall, JD.com, and Vivo’s official website and will go on sale in China on October 31.

The Vivo TWS Air 2 houses 14.2mm drivers and features a semi in-ear design with a stem that lacks silicon ear tips similar to the Apple AirPods. Meanwhile, the charging case features a pebble shaped body. The body of the new TWS features an IP54 for dust and water protection. It offers 3D panoramic sound and DeepX 3.0 stereo sound for a more immersive audio experience.

The hearables also comes with AI noise suppression for a clearer calling quality. Other notable features include, 55mm low latency mode, 30 hours of total battery life (earbuds offering 6 hours endurance), USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.3, dual connection, and various Bluetooth codec support (AAC, SBC, and LC3).
