Likely low-end Google Chromecast HD device appears on FCC

A new Google wireless device has appeared on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website. It is rumored to be a low-end Chromecast HD streaming device with a 60Hz refresh rate. As per the FCC listing, the new Google device features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Although there are scant details about the new Google hardware, some points are very visible. It is rumored that the new Chromecast HD will have a 1080p resolution. It also offers video streaming capability and different operating modes. The device will also have a USB cable as a charging accessory. The previous naming convention for Google devices points in the direction of the Chromecast HD with Google TV. This is further evidenced by the 1080p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate of the device. There are no specifics yet from Google on the release date and pricing for the rumored Chromecast HD with Google TV.

Moto G32 India launch tipped, could be a rebranded phone

Motorola has recently launched a couple of new mid-range phones such as the Moto G82, Moto E32s, Moto G52, and Moto G22 in the Indian market. According to a report by PassionateGeekz, the Lenovo-owned brand will be launching a new G-series phone called the Moto G32 in India. The leaked specs shared by the publication suggest that it could be a rebranded version of an existing Motorola phone.

According to the publication, the Moto G32 could be the next Motorola phone for India. The handset may go official in the first week of July. The report claims that it could be a rebranded version of the Moto E32, which was recently unveiled in Europe.

A Motorola device with the “Devon22” codename is said to have three model numbers, such as XT2235-1, XT2235-2, and XT2235-3. The XT2235-2 has appeared in the database of the BIS authority. It is speculated that the XT2235-2 variant may launch as the Moto G32 in India.

Xiaomi is working on the Xiaomi 12S series of flagship phones. The lineup is expected to include two models: the Xiaomi 12S and the Xiaomi 12S Pro. Speculation is rife that the Pro model will be available in Snapdragon and Dimensity chipset variants. A new Xiaomi phone has appeared in the database of the 3C authority of China. It seems that this device could be the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 edition of the Xiaomi 12S Pro.

As can be seen in the screengrab, a Xiaomi smartphone with model number 2206122SC has emerged in the 3C’s database. The listing reveals that the device may ship with a charger that has an MDY-12-ED model number. This charger supports up to 120W of fast charging. Rumors surrounding the 2206122SC device have claimed that it may debut on the market with the Xiaomi 12S Pro moniker.

Last week, a Xiaomi phone with a 2207122MC model number surfaced with a 67W charger at 3C. It is speculated that the 2207122MC model could be the Dimensity 9000 variant of the Xiaomi 12S Pro.

The Xiaomi 12S Pro is expected to feature a curved edge OLED panel that supports a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It may feature a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel triple camera unit on the rear.

The 12S Pro may come equipped with a 4,500mAh battery. It may come preinstalled with the Android 12 OS and MIUI 13. The Xiaomi 12S vanilla model is rumored to debut with the Pro model. The 12S could be a compact flagship phone featuring a curved edge OLED panel that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Apart from the Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro flagships, the company is also said to be working on the Xiaomi 12 Ultra premium flagship phone. It is rumored to go official in July in China.

Infinix Note 12 series phone with Helio G99 to launch soon

Last month, MediaTek announced three new chipsets, namely the Helio G99, the Dimensity 930, and the Dimensity 1050. A tweet from Infinix Mobile confirms that it will be the first brand to launch a phone featuring the Helio G99 chipset.

The company confirmed that an upcoming Infinix Note 12 series phone will feature the Helio G99 chipset. The Note 12 family already includes four members, such as the Infinix Note 12, Note 12 G96 (aka Note 12 Turbo in India), Note 12i, and Note 12 VIP.

The Note 12 and Note 12i are powered by the Helio G88 and G85 chipsets, respectively, whereas the Note 12 G96 and Note 12 VIP are powered by the Helio G96. Hence, it appears that the upcoming Helio G99 powered Note 12 model will be the most powerful device in the series. It remains to be seen whether it will carry the Note 12 Pro moniker or some other name.

Built with TSMC’s 6nm process, the Helio G99 includes 2 x Cortex-A76 CPU cores working at 2.2GHz, 6 x Cortex-A55 cores ticking at 2GHz, and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It can support up to a 108-megapixel camera. However, it lacks support for 5G connectivity. The Helio G99 powered Note 12 series phone may go official as early as this month.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Poco F4 GT will house a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP macro lens. The company will provide a 20MP Sony IMX596 snapper on the front for selfies and video calls. The handset will be backed by a 4,700 mAh battery that will support 120W HyperCharge fast charging and it will run MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. It is expected to be priced under $533.

Oppo K10 5G is confirmed to launch in India on June 8th. Keep an eye on this one if you are looking for a solid entry-level smartphone with 5G support. Major features of the smartphone are still under wraps but thanks to leaks and rumors we know some details about the phone.

The Oppo K10 5G will likely be shipped with a 6.56-inch display with HD+ resolution and 90 hz screen refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

For photography, it will feature a dual-camera setup with a 48-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. While for selfies and video calls, the device is said to have an 8-megapixel shooter. The smartphone may get fueled by 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro will carry a 6.62-inch E4 AMOLED display from Samsung that has a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Smartphone will be the first to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. The processor will be coupled with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage capacity.

For optics, it will have a 50-megapixel IMX 766 main lens along with an ultra-wide-angle shooter of 8 megapixels and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies and video calls, a 32-megapixel camera lens will be present on the front of Oppo Reno 8 Pro smartphone.

The smartphone will offer a triple rear camera sensor along with a 64-megapixel main lens, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. At the front, the handset will likely offer a 16-megapixel camera sensor for selfies and video calls. The handset packs a 5000mah battery with 80W fast charging. The phone will run on Android 12 on top of Realme UI 3.

The Moto G82 5G has already been launched in international markets and is confirmed to debut in India on June 7. The smartphone is expected to come with price tag of ₹23,999 in India for a single 6GB + 128GB storage variant.

Talking about the features, the Moto G82 will sport a 6.6-inch pOLED display with a 120 Hz screen refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will get power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset that is coupled with 6 GB RAM.

The phone will carry a triple camera module on the back which includes a 50-megapixel main lens along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro snapper. While on the front, it has a 16-megapixel lens. The Moto G82 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W charging.

6Poco C40

The Poco C40 is confirmed to launch in India on June 16. However, the smartphone has already been unveiled in Vietnam which gives us a good idea of its specs and price. The smartphone is expected to be priced under ₹12,000 ($150) in India.

The Poco C40 will be an interesting entry level phone. It will flaunt a 6.71-inch LCD display panel that has a screen resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The handset will get a JLQ JR10 chipset accompanied by 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.

Talking about the camera, the phone will have a dual rear camera unit on the back with a 13-megapixel main lens and depth shooter of 2 megapixel. On the front, the Poco C40 is going to feature a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. The Smartphone is backed by a 6,000mAh battery that has support for 18W fast charging but for some reason it will ship with a 10W charger.

Vivo T2 was scheduled to launch on June 6 but the company postponed the launch for reasons unknown to us. Vivo is likely to launch the smartphone later this month. The smartphone is rumored to a rebranded IQOO Neo 6 SE, which went official in China last month.

Talking about the features, The Vivo T2 will land with a 6.62-inch OLED panel offering FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset will be powered by Snapdragon 870 chipset powers and it will have up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, the smartphone is going to have triple rear camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. It will sport a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. The handset will come preinstalled with Android 12 OS with FunTouch OS 12 on top. The Vivo T2 will be backed by a 4,700mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. It will be priced under ₹25000 ($322).

MSI beats Razer for the title of world’s first 240Hz OLED display laptop

Last month, at the Display Week 2022 expo, Samsung Display unveiled the world’s first 240Hz OLED display for laptops. Ahead of this conference, Razer had already announced the next-gen Razer Blade 15 that will carry this display. But the product is scheduled to hit the shelves only in Q4 2022. Before that could happen, MSI has also announced a laptop with this display and it is planned to go on sale earlier.

The title now belongs to the newly unveiled MSI Raider GE67 HX. Unlike the Razer model, this one should be available for pre-order as soon as this month. Because the official website says that the early bird program runs from June 1 to September 30.

Even Samsung Display, in its official press release, mentions that its 240Hz OLED display for laptops will debut on MSI Raider GE67 HX, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop. The firm also reveals that it has begun mass production for the said display panel.

As far as specs are concerned, the Samsung Display supplied OLED panel on the new MSI laptop measures 15.6-in size diagonally. It sports a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) and up to a 240Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the smartphone will feature the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset based on TSMC’s 4nm node. The device will have a 200W fast charging capacity paired with 50/65W wireless charging, however, the battery size still remains a mystery.

Other than these specs, the tipster reveals that the smartphone will come with a 50-megapixel primary camera. The display and primary camera of the device appear to be the same as the current-gen iQOO 9 Pro and so far the only difference is the chipset and fast charging capability. It is likely that the iQOO 10 Pro comes as a tweaked version of the iQOO 9 Pro but with better thermals thanks to the new chipset and a couple of new features.

For those unaware, the iQOO 9 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display with LTPO 2.0 technology and offers 120Hz refresh rate. It comes powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset based on Samsung’s 4nm node. The device has a 4,700mAh battery paired with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. And for optics, it features a triple camera setup consisting of 50-megapixel (primary) + 50-megapixel (ultrawide) + 16-megapixel (telephoto) cameras.

Apple to announce Mixed Reality headset in an event in January: Kuo

While Apple was initially believed to unveil its mixed reality headset during WWDC 2022 event, new reports hinted at the AR/VR based headset announcement being delayed. Now, a new report has hinted that the headset will be revealed in a special event at the start of next year.

The news arrives from known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who shared the information on Twitter. Kuo stated that the Cupertino based giant will finally be unveiling this highly anticipated product during a dedicated event sometime in January 2023. The analyst further added that the iPhone maker will be revealing the product along with new tools for the developers, which will be shipped within “2 to 4 weeks” after the event.

Notably, Kuo claims that pre orders for the upcoming mixed reality will begin in the second quarter of next year. Furthermore, the customers will be able to buy the headset before the WWDC event in 2023. Previous reports have already talked about the development issues that the new product has faced, which has led to delays. This gadget will be a pricey product that will cost somewhere around a whopping 3,000 US Dollars. The mixed reality part of it means that it will be able to run both Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality based applications.

Apple has just recently held its WWDC 2022 event in which it announced new M2 powered MacBooks. But ahead of the schedule, the company had also received clearance for a new feature for its Watch Series 8, which can possibly saves life.

During the WWDC event, the Cupertino based giant had unveiled the new watchOS 9, which is set to bring a number of new features. One of these included a new biomonitoring sensor for AFib burden detection. As per official notes, the brand’s latest Apple Watch will will be able to detects irregular rhythm by monitoring the heartbeat. These irregular rhythms could be indicative of atrial fibrillation (AFib).

For those unaware, an AFib occures when the lower and upper chambers of the heart do not beat in sync. So, the new Apple Watch Series 8, that is expected to launch later this year, could monitor how often a person is in a state of atrial fibrillation over a period of time. Notably, MyHealthyApple reported that the FDA has even given the iPhone maker clearance for the atrial fibrillation tracking feature.
