PSA: OPPO Enco Air (W32) already went official in Italy earlier this month

OPPO has confirmed to launch the OPPO Enco Air truly wireless earphones on May 6 in China. These new pair of TWS have been certified by NCC ahead of their release in the company’s home country. But today, we found out that the OPPO Enco Air already went official in Italy earlier this month, courtesy of a local blog called OPPO Hub.

OPPO Enco Air (W32) Specifications and Features

The all-new OPPO Enco Air is also known as OPPO Enco W32. Hence, it could be called the successor of OPPO Enco W31. This product comes in two colors (White, Black).

Like the newly launched OPPO Enco Buds (successor of OPPO Enco W11), the OPPO Enco Air also features Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Unfortunately, the press release does not mention the size of the drivers. However, these drivers are said to offer high-definition audio quality with deep bass, mids, and crisp highs.

Further, like most budget wireless earbuds, they also feature dual-mic for noise cancellation during calls. But they do not come with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).

Anyway, these earbuds not only support gesture controls but also the OPPO HeyMelody app for firmware updates. Last but not least, the OPPO Enco Air truly wireless earphones are said to offer up to 24-hour battery life for music listening or up to 15-hour talk-time with the charging case (440mAh) that charges via USB Type-C.

OPPO Enco Air (W32) Price and Availability

The OPPO Enco Air wireless earphones are priced at € 99.90 in Italy. They will be sold on Amazon Italy in the coming weeks. As mentioned earlier, these earbuds will be debuting in China on May 6. They should be also available in other markets in the coming days.

Sony launches Reon Pocket 2 wearable AC; priced at 14,850 yen ($138)

Last year, Sony had launched the Reon Pocket wearable air conditioner through crowdfunding and now the Japan-based company has launched a successor of the same, dubbed Sony Reon Pocket 2.

The newly launched product looks similar to its predecessor in terms of design but comes with improved internals. Thanks to the improvements, the company claims that it can offer twice the level of heat absorption, resulting in more powerful cooling.

Sony Reon Pocket 2

Sony is also saying that the company has improved the sweat-proofing in the Reon Pocket 2, making it more suitable for light exercise situations. It’s noteworthy that the device is not completely dust and waterproof.

The original model launched last year used silicon but this time, the company has upgraded to SUS316L stainless steel for the temperature cooling surface. This should offer more strength and transfer cooler temperatures more easily to the skin. It also comes with four temperature levels that users can adjust to.

Sony Reon Pocket 2

This time, the company has partnered with sportswear brands like Le Coq Sportif, Munsingwear, and Descente to produce a range of golf clothing that features pockets for the wearable device to slot into. For using this device with regular clothes, the company has also designed a neckstrap accessory.

The Sony Reon Pocket 2 measures 54 mm x 20 mm by 116 mm (WHD). It weighs 92 grams, which is just slightly more than the original model’s weight of 89 grams. It is now available for purchase in Japan for 14,850 yen, which is approximately $138. Currently, there’s no information about its availability in other regions.

Realme RMX3142/RMX3143 full specifications, images emerge at TENAA

Yesterday, Realme held an unveiling event in China to announce the Realme Q3i, Realme Q3, and Realme Q3 Pro smartphones. There are a couple of new Realme phones that have appeared in the database of China’s TENAA regulatory but have not gone official yet. These include the RMX3333, RMX3041, and RMX3142/RMX3143. The identities of these devices are not known yet. The RMX3142/3 is now listed with full specifications and images at TENAA.

The RMX3142 phone was spotted at the Chinese certification site at the beginning of this month. Later, a network variant of the phone with the RMX3143 model number was spotted at the same platform. Their initial listings had revealed only a few specs. However, more details on the specs of both phones are known.

The Realme RMX3142/3 has 159.1 x 73.4 x 8.1mm dimensions and it weighs 174 grams. The phone features an AMOLED display of 6.43 inches, which delivers a 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ resolution. Realme C20 vs C21 vs C25: Specs Comparison

Realme recently renewed its entry-level C series with three new models: Realme C20, Realme C21, and Realme C25. The new handsets target the low-end segment with very affordable prices, but they belong to different price segments. A lot of people are wondering which one to go for in order to get the highest value for money and which one is the best for their needs, especially if we think about the slight price differences. This comparison will give you the answer by highlighting the differences between Realme C20, C21, and C25.

Design

The Realme C20 and the C25 have very similar designs. They are made of polycarbonate and they come with the same pattern for the rear cover. The Realme C21 differs because of its diamond-like back cover. In each case, you get a borderless display with a waterdrop notch and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, as well as a square-shaped camera module on the back. While the Realme C20 and C21 have exactly the same thickness and weight, the Realme C25 is thicker and heavier because it features a bigger battery.

Display

The displays of these devices are all the same with no differences. They pack a 6.5-inch panel with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 480 nits typical brightness, and the IPS LCD technology. They are below-average displays that provide a sufficient image quality for average users, but you can get way better displays if you spend a bit more.

Hardware/Software

If you need the most advanced hardware, you must go for the Realme C25 without thinking twice. It is powered by a stronger Helio G70 chipset paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in the most expensive configuration. The Realme C21 has a weaker Helio G35 chipset, just like the Realme C20. These two handsets different for their memory configurations: the Realme C20 has just 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage, which is insufficient hardware for a lot of usage scenarios, while Realme C21 has up to 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Realme C25 is the only one with Android 11 out of the box, while Realme C20 and C21 are still based on Android 10.

Camera

Are you looking for the best cameras? If so, you should go for the international version of the Realme C25 packing a rear triple camera with a 48 MP main sensor. The Indian variant has the same triple camera as the Realme C21 including a 13 MP main sensor and a pair of 2 MP lenses, but it has a better 8 MP front camera. The Realme C20 is the most disappointing one with an 8 MP single rear camera.

Battery

The Realme C25 packs the biggest battery with a huge capacity of 6000 mAh and it even features 18W fast charging. You do not get fast charging with the Realme C20 and the C21, and their battery is also smaller with 5000 mAh. But the C21 supports reverse charging just like the C25.

Realme C20 vs Realme C21 vs Realme C25: Price

Realme C20 vs Realme C21 vs Realme C25: PRO and CONS

The Realme C20 starts from Rs. 6,999, Realme C21 is actually priced at Rs. 7,999 in its base variant and Realme C25 has a starting price tag of Rs. 9,999. The Realme C25 is the most interesting device thanks to its bigger battery, Android 11 out of the box, and better chipset. But you can get the same cameras (in India) with the C21, as well as the same display if you renounce to the Helio G70 and that huge 6000 mAh battery. Realme C20 has the same processor as the C21 and the same display/battery, but having just 2 GB of RAM and that low-end camera is not for everyone.

Realme C20

PROS

  • More affordable
  • Same chipset as the C21
  • Same display as C21 and C25

CONS

  • Just 2 GB RAM

Realme C21

PROS

  • Reverse charging
  • Same cameras as the Indian C25

CONS

OPPO Smart Tag images leaked before launch, could feature rechargeable battery

Apple unveiled its own object tracker AirTag with features like UWB(Ultra Wide Band) to take on Samsung’s counterpart. Now, it looks like the Chinese giant OPPO will join the party soon as real-life images of the OPPO’s Smart Tag have been leaked online.

Leaker Digital Chat Station has posted the images of what he claims to be the Engineering Test version of the upcoming OPPO Smart Tag. The device appears in White color and another image shows the device has ‘Ultra Wide Band’ and ‘OPPO‘ written on it.

This further strengthens the reports of OPPO readying an object tracker to spoil the party of Apple and Samsung. What is more surprising is OPPO’s solution seems to be more environment-friendly than the rivals. This is because we see a Type-C port at the bottom.

This isn’t present on either the AirTag or the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag and SmartTag+. Anyway, this suggests that OPPO may include a rechargeable battery inside its Smart Tag. To compare, the rivals promise a 1-year battery life on their respective object trackers but you cannot recharge them.

Although Apple has given the option of replacing the CR2032 battery on the AirTags, a rechargeable one might be a better and convenient option. Then again, we will have to wait and see if OPPO’s object tracker will have any kind of IP rating to protect it from getting damaged.

Talking about the features, UWB etched on the image indicates that the Smart Tag will help users accurately track the location of tags, and help you with directions better than the Bluetooth-only version. That said, we don’t see any provision for the lanyard hole just as we saw on the Galaxy SmartTag.

OPPO is holding a launch event on May 6 in China where it is expected to bring new Smart TV, OPPO K9, OPPO Enco Air, and a new OPPO Band. There are chances that the Smart Tag might debut on the same day but this is our guess so take it with a pinch of salt till we get official info on the same.

Tesla faces growing pressure in China over customer complaints

Tesla Inc recently faced increased pressures in China earlier this week from regulators and local media after a video of a customer staging a protest at the Shanghai auto show went viral in the region, which forced the company into giving out an apology.

Tesla Logo

According to a Reuters report, the pressure that the popular electric vehicle maker is currently faces arrives amid the on going US and China trade tensions that have worsened in recent times. Notably, China accounts for 30 percent of Tesla’s global sales, with the company also producing vehicles through its own factory that is situated in Shanghai.  As per the Global Times, “China will continue to open up its market to foreign business, but that does not mean foreign companies will be offered any privilege.”

For those unaware, a disgruntled Tesla customer climbed on top of a car at the auto show in a protest over the method of how the company was handling her complaint over a malfunctioning brake earlier this week. This caused local market regulators to urge the automobile manufacturer to ensure product quality in the country. Global Times further added that “The arrogant and overbearing stance the company exhibited in front of the public is repugnant and unacceptable, which could inflict serious damage on its reputation and customer base in the Chinese market.”

Tesla Model S

Unfortunately, Tesla has declined to comment on the matter but did state that it would share data on the brake incident with the regulators, after being demanded to declare the information. While the company did offer an apology, it has been criticized for not being sincere, with Xinhua news agency saying that “A big company should have the responsibility of being a big company, no company can do whatever it wants.”
