iQOO 15’s new Q3 gaming chip brings full-scale ray tracing to smartphones

iQOO’s product manager took to Weibo today to share more details about the company’s new in-house gaming chip, the Q3, which will debut with the upcoming iQOO 15.

According to the post, the Q3 chip is designed to overcome the performance and power efficiency limits of traditional SoC GPUs. iQOO claims that the Q3’s energy efficiency allows it to deliver a “double breakthrough” in both visual fidelity and power management.

In other words, the chip can handle complex lighting and reflection effects while keeping heat and battery drain under control. The biggest technical highlight, though, is in ray tracing performance.

According to iQOO, mobile ray tracing, which simulates realistic light behavior in 3D environments, often consumes “hundreds of milliamps per frame.” The company says the Q3 reduces that to just 3 milliamps per frame, making real-time ray tracing far more practical on handheld devices.

This improvement could let players experience lighting, reflections, and shadows closer to what’s seen in high-end PC games, even in large open-world titles.

In a separate Weibo post, the iQOO product manager responded to questions about how the Q3 differs from common GPU interpolation methods used across the industry.

He explained that while most mobile devices rely solely on SoC-based GPUs, iQOO adopts a hybrid Q3 + SoC architecture, offloading some of the workload from the main GPU.

This setup, he said, helps maintain stable frame rates and consistent power consumption during demanding gaming sessions, reducing frame drops and stutters in intensive scenes.

The Q3 is iQOO’s self-developed gaming chip, built using TSMC’s process. The company claims a 60 percent boost in performance, a 40 percent increase in energy efficiency, and a 400 percent jump in AI computing power compared to its predecessor. It also comes with 50 percent more cache for smoother frame delivery during heavy gaming sessions.

iQOO Neo 11 key specifications tipped again, launching with IQOO 15 this month

iQOO is gearing up to launch two flagship phones this month in China. Alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered iQOO 15, the brand will also introduce the iQOO Neo 11. Last month, tipster Digital Chat Station shared key specifications of the Neo 11, and now, a new Weibo post by tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the device will receive a significant upgrade this year, delivering flagship-level performance in a more affordable package.

iQOO Neo 11 key specs leak

According to the tipster, the iQOO Neo 11 will sport a 2K OLED flat display with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with a large 7,500mAh battery with 100W charging.

When it comes to gaming performance, the Neo 11 will feature the same Monster Supercore Engine found in the iQOO 15, offering excellent stability and smooth frame rates during intensive gaming sessions.

In terms of design, a previous leak by tipster DCS suggested that the Neo 11 retains a similar appearance to its predecessor, while introducing a metal frame and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. He also revealed that the device will be priced at around 2,500 Yuan (~$350).

The iQOO Neo 11 will rival other Snapdragon 8 Elite phones, which are expected to launch this month in China. These include the OnePlus Ace 6, Realme GT 8, and Redmi K90.

The iQOO 15 is already confirmed to launch in India. While the official launch date is yet to be declared, it is expected to break cover in November. Since the Neo 11 is not yet being teased in India, it appears that it may not launch with the iQOO 15 next month.

Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 17T Pro may debut by February 2026, India launch expected

Last month, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro flagship phones for the global market. The company has been updating its T-series flagship around August or September every year. However, a new development suggests that the launch of the next-generation models could be only around six months away.

Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 17T Pro key details emerge

Xiaomi 15T Pro
Xiaomi 15T Pro

XiaomiTime has spotted the Xiaomi 17T series in the IMEI database. This indicates that the company will skip the Xiaomi 16T branding, just as it skipped the Xiaomi 16 series for China this year.

As per the IMEI database listing, the Xiaomi 17T’s global version has the model number 2602DPT53G, whereas its Indian edition has the model number 2602DPT53I. This indicates that the brand could be planning to bring back the T-series flagship to India after the Xiaomi 11T series, which debuted in 2021 in the country.

The IMEI database listing has also revealed that the Xiaomi 17T Pro’s global edition has the model numbers 2602EPTC0G and 2602EPTC0R. This one does not have an Indian version.

The “2602” numbers in the above-mentioned models indicate that Xiaomi could be planning to globally launch the Xiaomi 17T series in February 2026. Early speculations suggest that the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro could be powered by the Dimensity 8500 (upcoming) and Dimensity 9500 chipsets, respectively. These are also expected to be among the first global Xiaomi devices to arrive with HyperOS 3 onboard.

In related news, Xiaomi has just launched the Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max models in China. In the first half of 2026, the company is expected to announce the Xiaomi 17s Pro and 17 Ultra in China. Among these devices, only the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra are expected to debut globally next year.

The X300 has a slightly different configuration, using the same 200MP HPB sensor as its main camera, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP Sony LYT602 periscope unit. Both phones support 4K 60fps portrait video recording and Zeiss optics.

According to a recent leak, the X300 will feature a 6,040mAh battery, while the X300 Pro will use a larger 6,510mAh unit. Both support 90W wired charging and fast wireless charging. The phones will ship with Android 16 and Vivo’s OriginOS 6, which includes ecosystem support for Apple devices.

The screen supports up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness and uses Tianma’s latest 1-nit bright eye-protection panel. Oppo has confirmed an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display.

The Pro model uses a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide, and a 200MP Samsung HP5 periscope telephoto camera. The module also includes a 2MP multispectral sensor.

Oppo has designed the camera layout with a rounded-square design and included Hasselblad branding. The phone supports an external Hasselblad teleconverter for added zoom capabilities. For selfies, a 32MP lens is present on the Find X9, while the Pro version upgrades to a 50MP front-facing unit.

The Find X9 Pro includes a 7,500mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Find X9 uses a slightly smaller 7,025mAh battery and retains the same charging speeds.

The Find X9 and X9 Pro have received certification in multiple markets, including Thailand, India, Singapore, and Malaysia, confirming their international rollout plans. Oppo has also revealed that ColorOS 16 will be released on October 15, just ahead of the Find X9 launch.

Huawei Mate 80 back plate emerges in latest leak

Huawei is working on the Mate 80 series, and a new leak just revealed what the phones will look like from the back.

Images surfacing on Weibo reveal that at least one of the Mate 80 phones will feature a circular camera island. The lineup will include Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and the Mate 80 RS, which will be the fanciest device in the lineup.

We can see the phone with three cameras arranged in a triangle, along with cutouts for LED and lasers, and sensors. For comparison, the Mate 70 line also has a circular module, except for the camera arrangement.

What do we know so far?

Under the hood, Huawei is said to equip the series with its Kirin 9030 processor. The Pro, Pro+, and RS models are expected to feature this chip along with 100W wired charging, while the standard Mate 80 may use a toned-down Kirin 9020 variant with 66W charging. And of course, all the phones will have 5G connectivity.

As for the cameras, the base Mate 80 is reportedly equipped with a 50MP 1/1.5-inch sensor, while the Pro version is said to feature a 1/1.3-inch unit. The top-tier Pro+ and RS models are said to adopt Huawei’s new SmartSens 590 sensor, which features a 50MP count but utilizes a larger 1/1.3-inch format for enhanced low-light performance.

The Mate 80 RS is rumored to introduce a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED screen. Huawei is also said to be experimenting with titanium alloy frames and ceramic-like glass backs. Software-wise, the series will run HarmonyOS NEXT.

The Huawei Mate 80 series is rumored to launch sometime in November.

OxygenOS 16 teaser confirms Gemini AI integration, launching alongside OnePlus 15

OnePlus has started teasing its next major software update, OxygenOS 16, and this year’s version looks set to lean more heavily on artificial intelligence. The company shared a short teaser on X showing snippets of the new interface and confirming that Google’s Gemini AI will be part of the experience.

Gemini will reportedly be built directly into OnePlus’s own apps. One example shown is the Mind Space feature — a kind of digital journal that can store notes, ideas, or reminders. With Gemini’s help, Mind Space can turn those snippets into actions. If you jot down a dinner plan, for instance, the system might suggest recipes, look for nearby restaurants, or help book a table without needing to switch apps.

The teaser doesn’t go into deep detail, but Gemini’s integration will likely extend beyond Mind Space. There are hints that OnePlus could use it in areas like photo management, call summaries, and smart suggestions inside the Notes app. The goal seems to be making OxygenOS more helpful while keeping the clean, fast interface that OnePlus users expect.

OxygenOS 16 is based on Android 16 and will debut alongside the OnePlus 15 series, which is expected to launch later this month in China before rolling out globally in November. Check out the leaked specifications of the OnePlus 15 here.

OnePlus isn’t alone in going all-in on AI—Oppo’s ColorOS 16 and Vivo’s upcoming OriginOS 6 are also built around smarter interactions. It’ll be interesting to see how OnePlus’s approach to AI integration sets it apart from the competition. If done right, this could be the brand’s most practical software upgrade yet.

Motorola Edge 70 leaked promo video shows a sub-6mm frame, taking on iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge

Motorola is gearing up to rejoin the ultra-thin smartphone race, and its upcoming Edge 70 could be one of the slimmest phones yet. A leaked promo video shared by Evan Blass (@evleaks) gives the first proper look at the device, highlighting a frame that’s said to measure under 6mm thick — right in line with Apple’s iPhone Air (5.6mm) and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge (5.8mm).

Motorola Edge 70 leaked promo video reveals design, color options, and camera specifications

The 30-second clip focuses on the Edge 70’s razor-thin profile, pausing on side angles that emphasize just how slim the device is. Motorola seems eager to show that thin doesn’t have to mean plain, either — the phone appears in three lively Pantone colors: Bronze Green, Gadget Gray, and Lily Pad, each with a glossy metallic finish.

As for the camera setup, the text around the LED flash module reveals that the main sensor has a 50MP resolution, 2.0 µm pixels, and supports OIS. The ultrawide camera offers a 120-degree field of view, which is fairly wide. There are three cutouts in the camera island (besides the flash module), but judging from the fact that there’s no mention of a telephoto lens—and the protrusion of the island on this sub-6mm phone is quite similar to the Edge 60—it doesn’t appear to house one. This approach mirrors Samsung and Apple’s slim offerings. While the phone follows the slim trend, the lack of a telephoto lens could be seen as a step back in functionality compared to the Edge 50 and Edge 60 series.

The Edge 70 is believed to be the global version of the Moto X70 Air, which is expected to launch in China this month. From what’s visible, the device sports a flat display with minimal bezels, a dedicated AI shortcut button, and a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 120° ultra-wide lens.

Baseus EnerFill FW11: the pocket-sized lifeline for Apple Watch owners

For Apple Watch users, battery anxiety is all too familiar. Whether you’re tracking a workout or checking notifications on the go, running out of charge halfway through the day can be frustrating. That’s where Baseus steps in with its new EnerFill FW11, a tiny wireless charger built to keep your smartwatch powered up without weighing you down. It’s sleek, practical, and surprisingly affordable — and it might just be the perfect backup for everyday use.

The Baseus EnerFill FW11 portable wireless power bank is now available globally, sold through Amazon and AliExpress. It’s a compact little gadget, measuring 61.5 x 48 x 14 mm and weighing only 53 grams — about the size of a credit card. Inside is a 1,640 mAh battery paired with a 5W wireless charging pad. A built-in USB-C connector handles charging (input only), and it even supports pass-through charging, so you can charge your watch and the device itself at the same time.

Safety hasn’t been overlooked either. The FW11 comes with standard protections against overcurrent, overcharge, and overheating, while a three-color LED light shows how much power is left — green for full, yellow for medium, and red when it’s running low. It works with nearly every Apple Watch model, from Series 1 to Series 10, including both SE versions and the Ultra line.

Design-wise, Baseus offers two color options — Midnight (black) and Starlight (white) — both simple and stylish. It’s the kind of gadget that looks good on a desk or keychain and feels like something Apple itself could’ve made.

Pricing depends on where you shop. On Amazon in Europe (Netherlands, France, Germany), it’s listed for €29.99, though stock is currently marked “temporarily out.” Over on AliExpress, it sells for about $26 / £20 / €23, shipping directly from China.

For Apple Watch users who want a portable way to stay charged without lugging around a power bank, the Baseus EnerFill FW11 is a thoughtful little tool — simple, compact, and genuinely useful. Not flashy, but exactly what you’d want when your smartwatch battery starts blinking red.
