The 31.5-inch monitor is built on a Nano-IPS Black panel, offering a resolution of 6,144 x 3,456 with a pixel density of 223 PPI. Designed for color-critical work, the display provides exceptional color accuracy with 99.5% Adobe RGB and 98% DCI-P3 coverage.

The monitor boasts a 60 Hz refresh rate. It’s rated for 450 nits of brightness in SDR and peaks at 600 nits in HDR, though it lacks mini-LED backlighting. The Nano-IPS Black panel is specifically engineered to provide higher contrast and consistent color performance, featuring a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and a wide color gamut that covers the aforementioned Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 standards.

Its sleek design features ultra-thin bezels, a flat frame, and a stand that allows for height, tilt, and portrait-mode adjustments. Stereo speakers are also integrated.

Connectivity is a key feature, with the monitor supporting Thunderbolt 5, making it the first of its kind with this standard. It includes five USB-C ports, along with HDMI and DisplayPort connections. While pricing remains unannounced, its specifications position it as a competitor to high-end professional displays. More details are anticipated at the ongoing IFA 2025 conference.

MAINGEAR Super 16 Debuts: 16-Inch Gaming Laptop With Intel Ultra 9, RTX 5070 Ti, 300Hz Display and Wi-Fi 7

MAINGEAR has announced the Super 16, a 16-inch gaming laptop developed with CLEVO. It is built for players who want strong performance, high frame rates, and portability at a lower price than typical premium models.

The Super 16 uses Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 24 cores, 24 threads, and a boost speed of up to 5.4GHz. Graphics are powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Mobile GPU with a 140W power limit and Max-Q technology. Compared to the standard RTX 5070 Mobile, the Ti version delivers up to 23 percent better performance. The GPU includes DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation for higher frame rates, Reflex 2 for low latency competitive play, and the latest NVENC and NVDEC encoders for streaming and video editing. Users can switch between discrete GPU mode for full performance or hybrid mode to extend battery life.

The laptop has a 16-inch 2560×1600 display with a 300Hz refresh rate, G-SYNC support, and response times under 8ms. It reaches 500 nits of brightness and covers 100 percent of the sRGB color space, making it suitable for both gaming and creative work.

For design, the Super 16 includes a 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard and a rear RGB light bar. Networking features combine Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 with a 2.5Gb Ethernet port. Killer DoubleShot Pro manages both wired and wireless connections for smoother gaming and streaming.

Other features include a 5MP Windows Hello IR webcam with a privacy shutter and wake-on-approach, stereo downward-firing speakers powered by Creative Sound Blaster Studio Pro 2, and support for up to 96GB of DDR5 memory. Storage options allow up to three M.2 SSDs, with one Gen 5 slot and two Gen 4 slots. Cooling is handled by a vapor chamber with 195W thermal capacity.

Ports include two Thunderbolt 4/USB-C, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI, a combo audio jack, DC-in, a microSD card reader, and a Kensington lock slot. The system runs on an 80Wh battery with a 230W AC adapter and supports 100W USB-C power delivery input.

Pricing & availability

The Super 16 starts at $2,399. The base model comes with 32GB DDR5 memory, a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, and Windows 11 Home. Buyers can configure it with more memory and storage. Every unit is backed by MAINGEAR’s lifetime support.

TCL launches Movetime MT48 smartwatch for kids with dual-band GPS and 4G video calling

TCL has announced the Movetime MT48, its newest smartwatch for children, targeting families who want safety and connectivity without sacrificing creativity.

The device launches in Europe with a recommended price of €150. TCL confirms that the watch will be available later this October in Germany, the UK, Spain, Italy, and France, with plans to expand into additional international markets once local certifications are complete.

The Movetime MT48 features dual-band GPS (L1+L5) for real-time, high-precision location tracking, working reliably even in crowded or obstructed environments due to its advanced anti-interference technology.

The watch comes with full 4G support for video calls, VoLTE voice calls, instant messaging, and secure photo sharing. In a recent YouTube video from ETA PRIME (Via NotebookCheck), the Yohris mini gaming PC flexed its muscles in games despite having a tiny footprint. Under the hood, the tiny Windows computer packed the Intel Core i7-13620H CPU along with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU. This was coupled with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and 512GB of SSFD storage. One can even configure it with up to 64GB RAM and 2TB storage.

The Tech YouTuber put this mini gaming PC through a series of benchmarks and games, seeing impressive performance across the board. One of the highlights was Forza Horizon 5, which ran at over 100fps at 1440p resolution in the High graphics preset. Similarly, even Cyberpunk 2077 hit triple digit frame rates at high settings on High with DLSS set to Quality. Enabling frame generation pushed the average fps to over 120.

The demanding multiplayer game Marvel Rivals also hovered around 108 fps with DLSS on Quality and resolution at 1080p. Most notably though, this mini gaming PC only costs around $510. While the price may fluctuate, this is still quite the deal as it matches the Mac Mini’s portability with console level gaming performance.

DJI could launch its first full-frame mirrorless camera on September 15

DJI, best known for drones and action cameras, may soon launch a full-frame mirrorless camera. According to reports from DJI-Rumors, the company could announce a brand-new system on September 15. 

September is already packed with announcements from Apple, Canon, and Sigma, and DJI’s rumored camera could add even more buzz to the month. DJI’s mirrorless camera is expected to use the same L-mount system supported by Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma.

Unlike other smaller players rumored to be entering the mirrorless space, DJI has the advantage of years of experience in imaging. The company’s drones, Osmo action cameras, and 360-degree products have all leaned heavily on camera tech. 

More importantly, DJI owns Hasselblad, the Swedish manufacturer known for its high-end medium-format cameras. The partnership has already paid off with Hasselblad’s X2D II 100C, which features a LiDAR-assisted autofocus system that DJI reportedly helped in development. Bringing that expertise into a full-frame body could give DJI a real shot at competing with industry giants.

According to rumor, the upcoming camera will have a boxy design similar to Sony’s FX3, but with an integrated electronic viewfinder tucked into the corner. 

A teaser clip shared by DJI-Rumors briefly shows the camera in a dark setting and ends by showing the September 15th launch date at 8 AM. Oddly, the teaser uses “EST” instead of “EDT,” which is what DJI typically lists in its official promos. That makes the details worth treating with some skepticism.

For now, it’s all rumor — but September 15 isn’t far away.

Another major difference between the size options is the battery life. On a single full charge, Amazfit claims that the 44mm T-Rex 3 Pro (640mAh) can last for up to 19 days with typical use. Meanwhile, the 48mm T-Rex 3 Pro (700mAh) is expected to last an impressive 25 days with similar use. The brand built this model to survive outdoors and reinforces the body with titanium alloy bezels and buttons.

The T-Rex 3 Pro features a built-in flashlight, which can act as both a regular flashlight in the dark and send SOS signals. It houses both microphones and speakers for Bluetooth calling support. There are over 180 sports modes, along with Amazfit’s new BioCharge Energy tech. Other notable features include improved GPS tracking with six satellite systems, app integrations, and various health trackers.

As of right now, the 48mm Tactical Black T-Rex 3 Pro model is on sale in Europe for 399.90 Euros. On the other hand, the Black/Gold versions of the 48mm variant will go on sale on 25th September 2025. The smaller 44mm is set to debut soon after in Black/Gold and Gold/Gray for around the same price.

Bose launches second-gen QuietComfort Ultra headphones with lossless USB-C audio and Cinema Mode

The second-generation Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones are the latest addition to the Bose noise-cancelling line of headphones. At first glance, not much has changed; the design is nearly identical to the original QC Ultra, except for a sleeker, polished finish on the bar, which connects the headband and earcups. 

The earcups are still plastic with soft synthetic leather cushions, but the refresh adds a little more polish to the classic QuietComfort look.

While the outside feels familiar, the upgrades inside are more meaningful. The new QC Ultra Headphones support lossless USB-C audio, which delivers clearer, low-latency sound straight from your source device. The 2nd Gen also comes with both 2.5mm and 3.5mm cables in the box for wired listening.

Noise cancellation gets a big upgrade, too. Bose has introduced a new algorithm for adaptive noise control, which reacts more smoothly to sudden sounds like sirens or passing trains. 

For moments when you want to hear the world around you, Aware Mode now adjusts more naturally without making your audio dip or cut out. If you’d rather not use ANC at all, you can fully turn it off or tweak the levels in the Bose app.

Additionally, the headphones have a new Cinema audio profile for movies and shows. It widens the soundstage, pushes dialogue forward, and adds spatial effects for a theater-like experience. Bose says the mode also improves podcast and audiobook listening. 

The 2nd gen QC Ultra headphones can also run longer, offering up to 30 hours of playback (23 with immersive audio on, 45 with ANC off). 

For wireless users, the headphones support Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint connectivity and a wide range of codecs, including AAC, SBC, and aptX Adaptive for Snapdragon Sound-certified devices.  The headphones also support Google Fast Pair and Spotify Tap.

Huawei launches its first 100W power bank with UFCS 1.2 certification

Huawei recently launched a new flagship power bank in China with the latest charging standards. The new Huawei 100W 12000 Power Bank comes with a built-in charging cable and is priced at 399 yuan (around $55). 

According to the Faster Charging Association (FCA), this is the first-ever power bank to be certified under UFCS 1.2 (Universal Fast Charging Specification). That means it can deliver up to 40W unauthenticated charging speeds on UFCS-supported devices. 

Additionally, it carries China’s CCC mandatory certification, the EU CE mark, and international CB safety certification, ensuring its safety for use across various regions, including onboard flights.

The Huawei 100W power bank has a 12000mAh battery with flagship-grade lithium-ion cells. It supports up to 100W output from a single port, and Huawei says it can charge a Mate 70 Pro to 42% in just 10 minutes.

For flexibility, the device comes with dual-port fast charging and dynamic power distribution. This lets users charge two devices at once without major slowdowns. Huawei claims it works seamlessly with not just its own devices but also laptops, tablets, headphones, game consoles, and even iPhones and Android devices thanks to support for PD, PPS, QC, and SCP protocols.

Huawei has also put a strong focus on safety. The power bank features 13-layer protection, millisecond-level temperature control, and has passed more than 200 reliability tests, including drop and compression checks.

Its slim 15.7mm body with a built-in cable makes it more travel-friendly, while the battery size complies with airline rules, meaning you can carry it on planes without worry.

The Huawei 100W 12000 Power Bank, featuring a built-in cable, is now available in China for ¥399 (approximately $55) in Modern Black and Ceramic White colors. There’s no word yet on international release.

Xiaomi 16 series battery sizes tipped again: up to 7,500mAh on a flagship

Xiaomi’s next flagships could make battery life a key selling point. According to a fresh leak, the upcoming Xiaomi 16 lineup is set to bring some of the biggest jumps in capacity we’ve seen yet, with Silicon-Carbon tech leading the way.

Tipster Yogesh Brar claims the standard Xiaomi 16 will carry a 7,000 mAh battery — a huge step up from the 5,240 mAh cell in the Xiaomi 15’s global model. The 16 Pro is said to come with 6,300 mAh, slightly more than the 6,100 mAh in the 15 Pro, despite whispers that the phone will be roughly the same size as the base version. At the top, the 16 Pro Max could feature a massive 7,500 mAh cell, making it one of the largest in any flagship phone to date.

These numbers aren’t out of the blue. Earlier leaks have hinted at similar figures, and they fit into a broader push by Chinese brands to adopt and iterate on Silicon-Carbon batteries before Apple, Samsung, or Google. The new series is also expected to debut with Qualcomm’s “Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5” chip, with a launch rumored for September 23. On the camera side, there’s chatter about a Xiaomi 16 Ultra sporting a 1-inch main sensor and a 200MP telephoto lens.

Xiaomi won’t be alone in the big-battery race. Both OnePlus and Oppo are said to be readying phones with capacities around the same 7,000–7,500 mAh mark, signaling where the industry is heading.

If accurate, these upgrades could give Xiaomi a big talking point — more capable yet longer-lasting flagships without bulky designs. And with launch season coming up fast, it won’t be long before we see how much of this holds true.

Nokia opens new campus to drive AI-powered 5G and 6G development

Nokia has officially opened a new R&D and manufacturing hub in Oulu, Finland, strengthening its role in the race toward next-gen 5G and 6G networks. The site, nicknamed the “Home of Radio,” will bring together researchers, engineers, and production under one roof, with a focus on AI-driven connectivity.

The campus was inaugurated on September 5 and will host around 3,000 experts. It’s designed to cover the entire product development cycle, from early testing and chip design to hardware, software, and patent development. Nokia says the site will also support work on 5G standardization and system-on-chip development, while the on-site factory will handle production of 5G radio and baseband products to ensure secure, Europe-built networks.

Speaking at the launch, Nokia President and CEO Justin Hotard said Oulu’s strong ecosystem—linking the company with universities, startups, and NATO’s DIANA Test Center—makes it the right place for this kind of investment. The goal is to create a setting where new ideas in wireless tech can move quickly from concept to deployment.

Sustainability was also built into the plan. The facility runs entirely on renewable energy, and excess energy will be used to heat around 20,000 homes in Oulu. Nokia positions this as part of its effort to pair cutting-edge innovation with eco-friendly practices.

By offering both simulated and real-world network environments, the campus should give Nokia a head start in tailoring 5G and future 6G systems for AI applications. More broadly, it highlights Europe’s push for technological sovereignty at a time when fast, secure, and reliable connectivity is becoming central to the AI boom.

DeepSeek is working on AI agent to take on OpenAI by end of 2025

Chinese startup DeepSeek is preparing to launch a next-generation AI agent by the end of 2025, according to a Bloomberg report. The Hangzhou-based company is developing a system that can perform complex, multi-step tasks with minimal input from users. The model will also learn from its past actions to improve performance over time.

DeepSeek gained global attention earlier this year with the release of its R1 model. The system demonstrated advanced reasoning capabilities and was built at a reported cost of just $6 million, far less than rivals like OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini. R1 was also open source, allowing developers to freely access its code. The release disrupted the “bigger is better” approach in Silicon Valley, where massive budgets and vast datasets have dominated AI development.

Since R1, DeepSeek has moved cautiously. Founder Liang Wenfeng delayed the R2 model, a move attributed to technical refinements and his ongoing work at High-Flyer Asset Management. This deliberate pace differs from competitors like Alibaba and Tencent, which have accelerated their own AI rollouts.

She added that with this setup, users will be able to capture beautiful images across different focal lengths, whether near or far, with ease.

While she has not specified the name of the device, it appears that she could be the talking about the Honor Magic 8 Pro.
