Rumors have it that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series will be announced on July 22. The company may not hold a launch event for it, but it may go official through a press release. The Galaxy Tab S7 is the standard model, whereas its advanced sibling is known as Galaxy Tab S7+. Reputed tipster Evan Blass has shared an official render of the Galaxy Tab S7. The new render not only showcases the appearance of the tablet, but also it gives a look at the S Pen and keyboard cover designed for it.
The Galaxy Tab S7 can be seen sporting slim bezels around its display. The S Pen may come bundled with the device, but the keyboard cover is likely to be sold as an optional accessory. The latter comes with magnetic pins so that it can be attached to the Tab S7.
Rumors surrounding the Galaxy Tab S7 have revealed that it has an 11.4-inch S-AMOLED screen. It is expected to support quad HD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform.
The One UI 2.5 based Android 10 is expected to come preloaded on the tablet. It is likely to house a 7,760mAh battery that will come with fast charging capabilities. It is likely to come with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. At present, there is no word on its pricing.
The bigger Galaxy Tab S7+ will have a 12.4-inch S-AMOLED display and it will also be powered by Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC. It could be housing a 10,090mAh battery. It is said to be equipped with a 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual-camera system.
Motorola seems to be on a roll. The manufacturer has announced three new phones this month and we are just in the second week. It announced the Motorola One Fusion on July 2 and followed it with the Moto G 5G Plus and the Motorola One Vision Plus last week. There is a chance we may be getting another Moto G phone later this month as the Moto G9 Plus has been spotted on an online store.
A screenshot of the price of the Moto G9 Plus was shared on Twitter by Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) today and it shows the device will be priced at €227.15. For that price, you get 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The listing also reveals the device has dual-SIM support.
Unfortunately, the screenshot doesn’t list the full specs neither does it include an image of the phone.

The source of the photos is the Portuguese blog Techbit that has already gotten their hands on a review unit. The Mi Smart Band 5 will come in a black retail box with the image of the box and the number 5 on the front.

The Mi Smart Band 5 is said to only support English and Chinese out of the box but a future OTA update will bring more languages. That is less than two weeks away and already, the company has started putting up a few teasers about the features of the smartphone. The latest teaser showcases the prowess of a 144Hz display which would be super cool for hardcore gaming.

According to renders, the handset will sport a side-mounted motorized pop-up front camera. Legion has been expected to have a design centered on gaming, just like other gaming phones. But it brings an even more innovative design for gamers. Indeed, it has been designed entirely with landscape usage in mind.
That is why you get a side-mounted pop-up camera, a secondary USB-C port which can be used in landscape mode in order to charge the phone during gaming sessions, and rear cameras placed in the middle of the phone instead of towards the top: this way, your fingers won’t cover the cameras while you are using the phone in landscape mode. The new Qualcomm’s chipset was announced a few days ago and it offers a 10% performance improvement compared to the vanilla Snapdragon 865. The new SoC will be paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage: we expect several memory configurations to be available. We expect configurations with 8, 12, and 16 GB of RAM, as well as storage choices like 256 GB and 512 GB. In the CPU and GPU tests on AnTuTu, the Lenovo gaming phone scored 187,401 and 246,980 benchmarking scores, respectively.
Overall, the handset scored 648,871 points, which is one of the highest scores ever seen on a phone. On Geekbench, the Lenovo Legion gaming phone scored 4,556 points in single-core performance and 13,438 points in multi-core. The gaming phone will reportedly feature a 3D cooling tower structure with dual heat pipe partition for long-lasting cooling. It will even sport positive stereo sound from 65 mm dual speakers, dual 0.6 mm amp speaker system, and 1.4cc large sound cavity. There will even be a dual X-axis linear motor for a more immersive haptic feedback. On the rear side, there will be a dual camera including a main sensor with a 64 MP resolution and an ultrawide lens with a 16 MP resolution. Lenovo Legion Phone – Launch, price and availability

The official confirmation came through an official teaser which also confirmed the presence of a Snapdragon 865+ chipset running at a max frequency of 3.1 GHz. The ASUS ROG Phone 3 will be one of the first phones powered by the new Snapdragon 865 Plus Mobile Platform. The device has already gotten a global release date that is July 22.
Now, it has been announced that the China launch will be on July 23. The launch will begin at 7 PM China time and should be livestreamed.
The ROG Phone 3 will not only come with Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset but also have a 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz high refresh rate, 64MP triple rear camera setup, a 13MP selfie camera 6000mAh battery, support for 30W fast charging, up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB of FS 3.0 storage. It will also run Android 10 out of the box. ASUS is also expected to launch a bunch of accessories for the phone.
It has also been reported that the Zenfone 6 will be getting two successors called the Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro. The phones will keep the flip camera design but come with more sensors.
Xiaomi’s ecological chain company Huami has relaunched the Amazfit Verge Lite in India with a reduction of the original price tag. The Amazfit Verge Lite was first launched in August last year in India and it adopted an Rs. 6999(~$99) price tag. Almost one year later, the smartphone is making its second entry and it is one that would be a bang. This is more of a price reduction as the Verge Lite is now on offer for 2000 yuan less, bringing the price down to Rs 4999 (~$66).
To recall, the AMazfit Verge Lite is a trimmed-down version of the Verge. It features an easy-to-read 1.3-inch AMOLED screen. Despite its bigger screen, the device fits the width of the wrist for pleasant wearing experience for a longer period of time.
Moreover, the smartwatch comes with 7 built-in sports modes including running, indoor running, trail running, walking, elliptical trainer, outdoor riding, and indoor riding. AMAZFIT Verge Lite

Google Pixel 4A has leaked innumerable times over the last few months. But the company is yet to launch it officially. Looks like it has delayed the announcement due to supply chain issue amidst pandemic. That said, it is expected to be unveiled sometime later this month. Ahead of it, Google itself has accidentally revealed the official render on its online store.
Since the Google Pixel 4A has leaked extensively revealing every bit of it except the price, the official render does not say anything new. We can see the phone in black color, which may be marketed as Just Black with an accented (mint-colored) power key.
The render confirms the punch-hole display as well as a single rear-facing camera just like its predecessor Pixel 3A. As per previous leaks and reviews (yes, they exist), it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB UFS 2.1 storage.
On the front, it will sport a 5.81-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a punch-hole for 8MP Sony IMX355 selfie camera. On the rear, it will house a single 12.2MP Sony IM363 primary shooter with OIS accompanied by an LED flash. The back of the phone will also include a capacitive fingerprint sensor.
Othe features of Pixel 4A include dual SIM, 4G, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, 3,080 mAh battery, and Android 10. As for price, it may retail for somewhere between $300 to $400 in the US.
It is not very common to see smartphones having up to a 6000mAh battery pack. But in recent times, fans, especially in countries like India, have often aligned with big battery phones more than any other. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy M21 in India packing a 6000mAh battery and the phone has been a success. We may soon see another 6000mAh battery phone, this time from Realme.
Realme Indonesia’s marketing director Palson Yi has shared a teaser poster which points to the impending launch of a smartphone with a 6000mAh battery. The poster only indicated that the device is “coming soon” with no specific date ascribed. However, we are certain the wait won’t be too long.
Before now, the Realme model had earlier been certified by German TUV Rheinland packing a 6000mAh (typical) / 5860mAh (minimum) battery. This would be the largest on a Realme phone when launched as the Realme 5 and Narzo 10 series all have a 5000mAh battery apiece. We also expect the large battery to be accompanied by fast charging support. The phone will also likely have a USB Type-C port.
For now, we can’t say for sure which series the phone belongs to. We expect more details to emerge in the coming days.
Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series did no do well due to the pandemic as well as costlier price tags. To overcome the losses incurred in the first half of 2020, the company is reported to ship three new handsets with an interval of one month between each. One of these phones is said to be Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) aka Galaxy S20 Lite, which is expected to launch in October. Now, months ahead of its announcement, it has been spotted on Geekbench.
According to the Geekbench listing (via GSMArena), the Galaxy S20 Lite will come with model number SM-G781B, which goes in line with an earlier report by SamMobile.
Further, it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with 6GB RAM. On the software front, it will run Android 10, most probably the upcoming One UI 2.5. Lastly, the device scores 737 points and 2619 points in single-core and multi-core tests respectively.
Apart from the above information, nothing else is known about this forthcoming budget flagship from Samsung. Going by the previous generation, it should feature a plastic build. However, we hope it to not compromise build quality this time around to compete fiercely with OnePlus 8 series and iPhone 12 series.
Honor President George Zhao had hinted earlier last month that the brand has been working on a gaming laptop for a long time. He also disclosed that the laptop will be launched this year. Later on, rumours emerged that the laptop will be launched in July. Already, Honor has scheduled a launch event for July 16 in China where the MagicBook AMD Ryzen model will be unveiled. The gaming laptop could also tag along.
Ahead of the launch date, a laptop believed to be the Honor gaming model has just been certified by China’s 3C. The certification page shows that the model is a notebook computer with the adapter having the model number HW-200A00P00. The adapter has a rating of 20V/10A. A Weibo user is said to have hinted that the laptop will come with a 200W adapter. Notebook models like the Razer Blade gaming laptop already feature 200W adapters. The adapter provides plenty of power for games, creativity, and entertainment.
Previous rumours also tip the Honor gaming laptop to feature AMD’s 7nm Radeon graphics card while being equipped with AMD’s processor. This throws up the possibility of the gaming notebook coming with an Intel SoC. Also, Honour may likely release an Intel version in the future.
Huawei unveiled EMUI 10.1/Magic UI 3.1 alongside the P40 series earlier this year. Since then, the company has bee continuously seeding the update to all the eligible devices worldwide. As the rollout is about to end in China, the firm has now begun to focus on global variants of its handsets. Hence, Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro have begun to receive the update in Europe.
Unlike Huawei smartphones, Honor handsets are getting Magic UI 3.1 update, instead of EMUI 10.1. Anyway, both are identical except for some minor features here and there.
That said, Magic UI 3.1 update for Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro users in Europe comes with build number 10.1.0.230 and weigh 4.63GB in size. It brings all the new features like Huawei Celia voice assistant, MeeTime video calling app, multi-screen collaboration, cross-device gallery, convenient multi-window, multi-device control panel, and lots more.
Currently, the update is being rolled out in a phased manner across different countries in Europe. If the brand gets positive feedback from the first batch of users, it will begin to seed the latest software update to more users gradually.
Smart wearable manufacturer Huami has teased the launch of a Lite smartwatch which look like the Amazfit Bip S. The company has created a microsite for the device on Flipkart and it confirms it will be called Amazfit Bip S Lite.
The Bip S Lite looks like a trimmed-down version of the Amazfit Bip S which was first launched in India just last month. The Flipkart page shows that the device will be launched on July 29.
In terms of the design, an official video teaser by Huami confirms a design similar to that of the Amazfit Bip S. The features are also likely to overlap but with some bit of trimming on the Lite model. The teaser also says the smartwatch would be “Lite on your pocket” which is an indication that it will adopt a cheaper price tag. For reference, the Bip S adopts a retail price of Rs. 4999.
The Amazfit Bip S Lite is expected to feature 8 sport modes as against 10 on the Bip S. It also weighs 30g, 1g less than the Bip S. The smartwatch will be available in three colour option – Charcoal Black, Sakura Pink, and Oxford Blue.
The Redmi Note 9 is making its way to India. The official Redmi India account has announced that the smartphone will be unveiled on July 20.
The Redmi Note 9’s siblings – the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max already launched in the country back in May. The launch will take place online and begin at 12 PM IST.
The teaser image attached to the tweet shows the phone has four rear cameras and also hints at fast charging.
The Redmi Note 9 has a 6.53-inch LCD display with a punch-hole at the top left corner of the screen. There is an Helio G85 processor inside with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage. There is also a variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad-camera setup sits on the back of the phone while a 13MP camera sits in front for taking selfies.
Other features are a 5020mAh battery, 18W fast charging, NFC, IR blaster, USB-C port, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone also runs Android 10 out of the box.
We presume the variant coming to India may have slightly different specs such as a different RAM and storage configuration. It may also not have NFC.
OnePlus is finally cutting the cord. After a handful of wired and wireless Bluetooth earphones, it has confirmed it will announce its very first TWS earbuds called the OnePlus Buds on July 21.
The press release sent to us says that the new Bluetooth audio device will “deliver high-quality audio playback and easy-to-use experience on the go”.
The launch of the OnePlus Buds is part of the manufacturer’s plan to expand its portfolio of products that already includes phones and smart TVs.
Pete Lau, the founder and CEO of OnePlus, said that the earbuds will deliver the right combination of sound quality, seamless connectivity, and easy-to-use experience.
The OnePlus Buds has appeared in multiple leaks over the past couple of months. The last leak revealed the earbuds will come in black and have a closed-fit design. It will be housed in a pebble-like case. Also, just like the OnePlus Nord, the Buds will be sold by Amazon India.
OnePlus is a bit late to the market with its TWS earbuds. Its competitors such as Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi have launched several models already with varying features and price tags. It remains to be seen if the OnePlus Buds can outperform the buds from these brands.
OnePlus Nord is scheduled to launch on July 21. To celebrate its unveil, the brand has made a 4-part series documentary whose two episodes have already aired. In addition to that, OnePlus executives have also been giving exclusive interviews to media houses revealing some of the features of their new handset. Now, a post on Instagram by the company confirms the phone to feature a secondary 105° ultra-wide selfie camera.

The power bank was announced in China in May and is sold for ¥199 (~$28.43). It has a USB-A output port that has a maximum power output of 30W. There is also a USB-C port that doubles as both an input and output port. The power bank supports a maximum power input of 30W too. This means you can recharge it faster than the Realme 10000mAh Power Bank 2 that only supports 18W fast charging.
The realme 30W Dart Charge 10000mAh Power Bank is sold in yellow and black in China but India may be getting it in just black when it launches tomorrow. We also presume the power bank will be priced at about INR 2000 (~$26).
Within a day from issuing the official statement, Xiaomi is rolling out the fix for Mi A3 users who had installed the Mexican firmware. The OTA update weighs 1.33GB in size and is said to fix the dual SIM issue.

“We are aware of the software update issue on a few Mi A3 devices. Xiaomi has accidentally rolled out Mexican carrier Telcel firmware to the global variant of Mi A3. The company asks its users to not install the new OTA update – V11.0.3.0.QFQMXTC weighing 1.40GB. According to various users, this update disables dual SIM functionality, brings new bootanimation, and two system apps – Mi Telcel & Claro Musica.
The Chinese smartphone maker has been messing up Mi A3 Android 10 update for months. The handset has received multiple builds so far, however, some users are still facing issues. What’s interesting is the bugs are limited to certain units only.
Amidst this, the company has now seeded out the build for carrier-exclusive Mi A3 to the global variant. The global version of the phone runs QFQMIXM build but the one Xiaomi sent out by mistake is QFQMXTC.
Since the changelog does not mention build number as it is an Android One smartphone, some users have installed it thinking it to be July 2020 security patch. But actually, it is June 2020 update for Telcel Mi A3. These users soon shared the issue on social media and forums.
After getting the information, Xiaomi has published an announcement post on Mi Community Global asking users to not update their phone. Unfortunately, the harm is already done and the update is yet to be removed from the OTA server.
Even our Indian unit has received this update, however, we did not receive any notification. We checked for updates in “Settings” only after knowing the news. That said, we strongly advise you not to download this update.
Xiaomi itself is not sure if it can fix this as per the community post. This is what the company has to say, “We will try to see if there is a fix, BUT… once again… DO NOT UPDATE (if you have not already)!”
