Oppo A series is getting new GT and Max models with big screens and bigger batteries

Oppo could soon be expanding its A-series lineup with the addition of new GT and Max models, according to a leak from tipster Digital Chat Station. These new devices are said to be priced in the thousand-yuan range and are expected to bring a mix of upgraded display tech, reliable performance, and solid battery life to the budget segment.

While the exact model names haven’t been revealed yet, the leak hints that the upcoming phones will feature a 1.5K LTPS flat display, Snapdragon 7-series chipsets, 50MP dual cameras, and large batteries. That puts them a step above the current Oppo A5 and A5 Pro in terms of specs, especially in the display and performance department.

For context, the Oppo A5, which launched in March this year at a starting price of 1,299 yuan, comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, and a massive 6,500mAh battery. It also supports 45W fast charging, making it one of the more battery-focused phones in its price bracket.

Then there’s the Oppo A5 Pro, which was released in December 2024 with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, a 6,000mAh battery, and a display Oppo markets as a “super bright sunlight screen.” It also comes with an IP69 rating for durability and debuted at 1,949 yuan.

The GT and Max variants could be Oppo’s way of refreshing the A series with more targeted models, possibly with performance (GT) and battery/display (Max) priorities.

The leak does not mention any official launch date, but given that these will be mass-produced models, an announcement may not be far off.

Keychron has launched the Black Myth Wukong wireless mechanical keyboard. It comes in Standard and Deluxe versions and features a 75% layout, CNC-machined 6063 aluminum body, and themed elements based on the upcoming game Black Myth: Wukong. Both editions include decorative keycaps, a themed knob, and a 2.4 GHz receiver.

The keyboard supports 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.2 with up to three devices, and a Type-C wired connection. It has a 4000 mAh rechargeable battery that lasts up to 200 hours without a backlight. The polling rate is 1000 Hz on 2.4 GHz and wired modes, and 125 Hz on Bluetooth. It uses the WB32F3G71 MCU with 256 KB flash memory.

The keyboard uses QMK open-source firmware and supports Keychron Launcher, a browser-based tool for key remapping, macros, and per-key RGB lighting. It works on Windows, macOS, Linux, and across Chrome, Edge, and Opera browsers. No software installation is needed.

It has south-facing RGB backlighting and uses a PC plate with a screw-in PCB stabilizer. The internal structure includes IXPE foam, PET film, EVA foam, and sound-absorbing foam. Huawei officially unveiled the Pura 80 series last month, and pre-sales for the base model began on July 23. The phone is set to hit store shelves on July 30. Now, the company has also revealed official spare part pricing, giving potential buyers a clear idea of repair costs in case of accidental damage. The Pura 80 “Digital Edition” will be available with a starting price of CNY 4,699 (around $655).

According to Huawei’s official repair pricing, a screen assembly replacement will cost CNY 849 (around $118), and customers can opt for on-site service that includes free recycling of the old display. A screen replacement will cost CNY 1,949 (around $271).

Battery replacements are relatively affordable, priced at CNY 199 (roughly $28) for the 5,600mAh cell (China), which should ease concerns about long-term power longevity.

Motherboard repairs are priced based on storage variants:

CNY 2,099 ($292) for the 12GB/256GB version
CNY 2,399 ($334) for the 512GB variant
CNY 3,099 ($431) for the top-tier 1TB model

OPPO has added a new Mint Green colour option to its Reno 14 smartphone in India. The phone was earlier available in Pearl White and Forest Green. The new variant keeps the same hardware and features as the previous models.

The Reno 14 features a 6.59-inch OLED flat display with a 2760 x 1256 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, and 3840Hz PWM dimming. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

It is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor with a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU. It comes with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15.

Samsung’s One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, was supposed to bring new features and refinements to Galaxy phones. But for many Galaxy S23 users, it’s something more than that—especially when it comes to camera performance.

Since the update began rolling out, users of the Galaxy S23, S23 Ultra, and S23 FE have taken to Reddit and Samsung’s Community forums to voice frustrations over degraded camera quality. Some say distant shots now look blurry, close-ups also appear overly soft, and colors lack the punch the S23 series was known for—even in good lighting conditions.

One S23 user wrote on Samsung’s community forum that since the update, their phone “can’t capture long distance scenery and there is something like blur in photos.”

Samsung hasn’t made an official statement yet, but moderators on the company’s Community forum are encouraging users to submit detailed bug reports through the Samsung Members app, including log files to help engineers investigate.

The timing is frustrating for S23 owners, especially those who bought the more expensive Ultra model. With the S23 series still under Samsung’s seven-year update commitment, a fix is likely—though there’s no word yet on when that might arrive.

In the meantime, affected users are hoping that what was meant to be a meaningful update won’t leave their phone’s best feature stuck in a blurry mess.

The Chinese tech giant’s latest mini PC is from its Lecoo lineup. It is dubbed the Lecoo Mini Pro, which features a Hawk Point AMD CPU. Lenovo built the tiny computer with a sleek aluminum alloy body, similar to Apple’s Mac mini. Under the hood, it is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 8745H and Radeon 780M integrated graphics. This processor is based on the 4nm process, offering both high performance and great power efficiency for laptops.

But with a dedicated performance mode, users can run the mini PC at 70W. From regular everyday use to some intensive tasks, the Lecoo Mini Pro is a great system that doesn’t take up a lot of space on your desk. There is even a quiet mode that dynamically reduces fan speeds to lower the volume down to 32 decibels. Users can configure the mini PC with up to 32GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage via two M.2 PCIe 4.00 slots.

You also get WiFi 6 support and 2x USB 4 ports as well. Lenovo’s new Lecoo Mini Pro PC has a starting price tag of 2,699 Yuan for the base configuration, which is roughly around 377 US Dollars. But ahead of any official announcement, the Mate XT 2 has just surfaced in a new leak, which confirmed its possible color options. So here’s what you need to know.

Huawei Mate XT 2: More Color Options in the 2nd Gen Model

According to known tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Chinese tech giant is planning on releasing the Mate XT 2 in multiple color options. To recall, the original Huawei Mate XT was announced in two color variants, namely Ruihong (Red) and Dark Black. But the next gen model may debut in four variants, which includes Mystic Black, Auspicious Red, Crimson Purple, and Bright White.

Huawei’s first tri-fold phone carried an exorbitant price tag but was still received well in China, with a global release following a while later. Just recently, the Mate XT 2 was certified with support for both 5G networking and satellite communication, carrying the GRL-AL20 model number. It is also expected to get the more durable UFG glass for its tall foldable screen. Based on what we know so far, this model could be equipped with the Kirin 9020 SoC that also powers the Huawei Pura 80 lineup.

Thanks to its unique form factor, the main screen is taller than your typical notebook style folding phones and may reach 10.2 inches in size when completely unfolded. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

Lava has introduced the Blaze Dragon 5G, its latest budget 5G smartphone, focused on delivering essential features with clean software. Designed for users looking for a balanced smartphone experience under ₹10,000, the phone combines a high refresh rate display, 5G connectivity, and a bloat-free Android 15 interface.

The Blaze Dragon 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness exceeding 450 nits. Samsung‘s next budget flagship has just been spotted in a new leak. A fresh Galaxy S25 FE rumor has just dropped, revealing information related to its possible storage configurations and color variants. There are some new details and also some disappointments, so here’s what you need to know.

Galaxy S25 FE Colors & Storage Leak

The news arrives from known tipster Arsène Lupin who shared the details on X (formerly Twitter). He claimed that the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE will arrive in four color options, namely Icy Blue, Jet Black, White, and Navy. So, the South Korean tech giant could be getting rid of the vibrant hues found on last year’s Galaxy S24 FE in favor of more sober color schemes.

Apart from this, the tipster revealed that the Galaxy S25 FE will be available in two storage configurations, namely 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. This is a bit disappointing considering how another Galaxy S series model still starts from 128GB and isn’t seeing an upgrade in RAM either. In other words, ever since the first FE model (Galaxy S20 FE), the RAM has yet to cross 8GB, while the base storage model is still stuck on 128GB.

This news also arrives after the Galaxy S25 FE had its renders leaked online, revealing no changes to the design over its predecessor. A TÜV Rheinland certification listing also hints that the Galaxy S25 FE is getting an upgrade to 45W wired fast charging, matching the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra in terms of charging speeds. Other notable features include a 50MP triple camera setup (unchanged from the S24 FE), Exynos 2400e SoC, and a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

LG Electronics Japan has introduced the LG UltraWide Monitor 34BA75QE-B, a 34-inch ultra-wide curved display designed for professionals who prioritize screen space, multitasking, and efficient connectivity. The monitor will go on sale in Japan starting July 31, 2025.

The 34BA75QE-B offers a 3440 x 1440 resolution on a 21:9 ultra-wide 3800R curved IPS panel. It supports 99% sRGB coverage and HDR10, offering accurate color reproduction and enhanced contrast, ideal for photo editing, content creation, and business use.

The monitor includes a built-in KVM switch, allowing two PCs to share one keyboard, mouse, USB devices, audio, and network connections. It supports PBP (Picture-by-Picture) mode and can be used with LG’s Dual Controller software to control both systems with a single input setup.

Connectivity options include USB Type-C with up to 90W Power Delivery, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB Type-B, and a LAN (RJ45) port for wired network stability. A built-in AC adapter reduces desk clutter, and the 5W + 5W MaxxAudio speakers offer decent onboard audio.

For eye comfort, it includes Blue Light Reduction Mode, Flicker Safe, and Color Vision Adjustment for people with color vision issues. The stand supports 150mm height adjustment, -5° to 21° tilt, and 45° swivel.

LG UltraFine 40U990A-W Debuts with 5K2K Nano IPS Display, Thunderbolt 5, and KVM Switch

LG Electronics Japan has introduced the UltraFine Display 40U990A-W, a 39.7-inch ultra-wide curved monitor equipped with a 5K2K resolution and Thunderbolt 5 support. This 21:9 aspect ratio display offers 33% more screen space than standard 4K monitors, making it ideal for content creators, multitaskers, and gamers.

The monitor delivers a resolution of 5120 x 2160 on a 2500R curved Nano IPS Black panel. It boasts a 2000:1 contrast ratio and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Certified with VESA DisplayHDR 600, it ensures vivid visuals and deeper blacks. LG’s Live Color Low Blue Light technology reduces eye strain while maintaining color accuracy.

The 40U990A-W is the first PC monitor to support Thunderbolt 5. This allows for 120 Gbps bi-directional data transfer, 96W power delivery, and daisy chaining of two monitors at a combined resolution of 10240 x 2160 at 120Hz. In terms of connectivity, it includes four USB-C ports (10Gbps), two USB-A ports, and a LAN (RJ45) port for stable networking.

For multitasking and efficiency, it includes a KVM switch, allowing two PCs to share one keyboard, mouse, and set of USB peripherals. It also supports Picture-by-Picture (PBP) and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) display modes. Gamers will benefit from features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), AMD FreeSync Premium, Dynamic Action Sync, and Black Stabilizer.

The monitor is equipped with 10W + 10W Rich Bass built-in speakers and an ergonomic stand offering 130mm height adjustment, tilt from -5° to 20°, and 20° swivel.

Samsung’s July 2025 security patch details

The July 2025 security patch includes numerous fixes from Google and Samsung, further strengthening the security of Samsung devices. According to the details published on Samsung’s security maintenance release page, the latest security patch includes fixes for 21 high-level and one critical vulnerability in the Android OS.

In addition to Google’s patches, the July security patch also includes one high-level security patch affecting some of the Exynos chipsets. Additionally, it addresses 17 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVEs). These are device-specific patches that span across Samsung phones, tablets, and wearables.

Security updates generally don’t bring new features or visual changes, and that’s also true for the July 2025 security patch. However, they include crucial vulnerability fixes to ensure maximum security against potential threats.

Infinix has unveiled the Smart 10, an entry-level 4G phone, in India. The Smart 10 arrives as the successor to the Smart 9 and it is packed with several exciting specs made available at an affordable price point.

The Smart 10 features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD panel with a punch-hole cutout, offering a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 700 nits. It includes an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, accompanied by a secondary depth sensor. On the front, the phone sports an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with LED flash, capable of 2K video recording.

Powering the device is the Unisoc T7250 processor paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Users can expand memory up to 2TB via a microSD card. There is also an additional 4GB virtual RAM option. The device runs Android 15 with Infinix’s custom XOS 15 interface, and a 5,000mAh battery supports 15W wired fast charging and reverse charging as well.

Other key features of the Smart 10 include stereo speakers with DTS tuning, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, and an infrared sensor. It is IP64 certified for dust and water splash resistance. It weighs 187 grams and measures 165.62 x 77.01 x 8.25mm.

iQOO Z10 Turbo+ name officially confirmed, coming soon with Dimensity 9400+, 8000mAh battery

iQOO is reportedly working on the iQOO Z10 and Z10 Turbo-series phones for the Chinese market. The latter will be the third Turbo-branded phone after the Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro. While previous reports had claimed that the next Turbo phone would be called the Z10 Turbo Pro+, the company’s Z-series product manager, Chengzi, has officially confirmed that the device will be called the iQOO Z10 Turbo+.

She also claimed that the goal behind launching this phone is to challenge the industry’s highest benchmark scores.

The AnTuTu scores of the iQOO Z10 Turbo+ are not known yet. However, the device has already appeared in Geekbench’s database, scoring 2196 points in the single-core test and 8907 points in the multi-core test. The 3C certification of the said device has revealed that it may support 90W fast charging.

It is likely that the iQOO Z10 Turbo+ may borrow other specifications from the Z10 Turbo Pro. Hence, it is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED panel that supports a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. For photography, it may come with a 16-megapixel front camera and a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel OIS primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The phone may ship with up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage and 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM.

On the other hand, the iQOO Z10 (China variant), which is yet to be officially confirmed by the brand, is expected to feature a 1.5K OLED LTPS screen, a 50-megapixel primary camera, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, and an 8,000mAh+ battery.

UPI Comes to PayPal: What It Means for Global Payments

PayPal has confirmed that UPI will be part of its new global payments platform, PayPal World. This platform is designed to connect major digital wallets and payment systems worldwide, starting with PayPal, Venmo, UPI (via NPCI International), Mercado Pago, and Tenpay Global.

With this integration, Indian users will be able to make international payments using UPI. For example, someone in India shopping on a US-based website that supports PayPal will see the familiar UPI button at checkout and can complete the transaction using their usual payment app. This removes the need for a credit card or international payment account.

The platform will also support cross-border peer-to-peer payments. A Venmo user in the United States will be able to send money directly to a PayPal user in another country. This is the first time PayPal and Venmo will work together like this.

Businesses that use PayPal will automatically be able to accept payments from nearly two billion users who rely on domestic wallets like UPI and Weixin Pay. There is no need for extra coding or integrations. This helps businesses reach new customers without changing how they operate.

PayPal World will use open APIs and a cloud-based setup to support fast, secure transactions across multiple regions. The platform is built to work with different devices and will be compatible with new features over time, such as stablecoins and dynamic payment buttons.

Ritesh Shukla, CEO of NPCI International, said the move will help grow UPI’s reach beyond India and make global payments easier and safer for Indian users. PayPal World will begin rolling out this fall. More wallet and payment system partners are expected to join as the platform grows.
