The Vivo X200 FE is effectively a rebranded version of the S30 Pro mini, and most of its specifications are already known. It features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color support. Vivo claims the panel can hit a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.

The device measures 7.99mm in thickness and weighs 186 grams, placing it in the lightweight category by today’s standards. Color options include Black Luxe, Blue Breeze, Pink Vibe, and Yellow Glow.

Vivo X200 FE

In terms of imaging, the X200 FE includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto sensor (Sony IMX882) with 3x optical zoom. On the front, Vivo is equipping it with a 50MP autofocus selfie camera.

It ships with Android 15 and Vivo’s FunTouch OS 15 out of the box. Powering the phone is a 6,500mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging.

The X Fold 5, meanwhile, is one of the slimmest foldables available on the market. Vivo says the device weighs 217 grams and measures 9.2mm when folded. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 leaks in real-life photos, and it’s looking really slim

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 has just made its first appearance in the wild, courtesy of X tipster Jukan Choi, and it’s showing off in a sleek blue finish.

The leaked photos include a side profile shot, and the first thing you’ll notice is just how thin this thing looks. The Fold 7 appears noticeably slimmer than its predecessor, the Fold 6.

It might still not snag the title of “world’s thinnest foldable” just yet. The crown currently belongs to the freshly launched Honor Magic V5, which measures an impressive 8.8mm when folded.

Still, Samsung’s foldable isn’t lagging far behind. According to the report, the Fold 7 could come in at around 9mm thin, down from 12.1mm of the Fold 6. The image also reveals a speaker grille, SIM card slot, microphone cutout, and antenna band at the bottom of the phone.

The other two shots give us front and back views of the device. The front is still covered in a protective film, but the rear clearly shows off that new blue hue and a familiar vertical triple-camera bump.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Specifications

And speaking of cameras, the Z Fold 7 is expected to pack some serious optics: a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP 3x telephoto. Under the hood, it’s likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with One UI 8 running on top of Android 16.

Samsung may also be ditching the under-display selfie camera this time around in favor of a more traditional hole-punch shooter.

We’ll know more soon enough. Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is set for July 9th in New York, where the Fold 7 is expected to share the spotlight with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and—if we’re lucky—the company’s long-rumored tri-fold concept.

What makes Honor Magic V5 special?

Honor is no stranger to pushing the envelope in smartphone innovation, but with the Magic V5, it’s gone all in. At first glance, this is a foldable phone that feels like a major leap forward: ultra-thin, lightweight, and packed with enough battery and silicon tech to set new industry records.

But the real story goes beyond measurements. The Magic V5 isn’t just about being thinner or lighter; it’s a declaration that foldables can finally be uncompromising.

Honor-Magic-V5

1. It’s Lighter Than an iPhone and It Folds

The Magic V5 weighs just 217g and measures 8.8mm thick when folded. That makes it thinner than most bar-style flagships and even lighter than the iPhone 16 Pro Max. And it does all this while housing a 7.95-inch OLED inner screen, a 6.43-inch external display, and flagship hardware. Even when you include the official case, it stays lighter than many foldables without one.

Honor’s structural engineering isn’t just spec-sheet bragging. The rear uses a 0.014mm aerospace-grade fiber that’s lighter than paper and 40x stronger than steel. And the hinge? Precision-machined down to 0.003mm, using a mortise and tenon design made with second-gen tunneling steel rated at 2300MPa.

2. The Battery Is Wildly Impressive

Most foldables settle for smaller batteries to avoid extra bulk. Not this one. The Magic V5 introduces Honor’s “Qinghai Lake Blade” battery with up to 25% silicon content, the highest in any commercial smartphone. The result? A 6100mAh battery that’s just 0.18mm per membrane layer, capable of delivering all-day power in a phone that’s thinner than a USB-C port.

Charging isn’t an afterthought either. You get 66W wired SuperCharge, 50W wireless charging, and even wireless charging support in your car, something almost no foldable offers.

3. Displays Built for Bright Days and Tired Eyes

The Magic V5’s foldable display isn’t just big, it’s brilliant. Literally. The peak brightness tops out at 5000 nits for HDR content, making it one of the brightest phone displays ever made. The outer screen gets 1800 nits, while the inner screen hits 1300 nits. And both panels support 120Hz LTPO refresh, 10.7 billion colors, and 4320Hz PWM dimming.

This isn’t just about visuals. Honor baked in AI-driven vision protection, features that reduce motion sickness, relieve eye fatigue, and even include “sleep-tuned” color modes.

4. Cameras That Don’t Feel Like a Compromise

Foldables have rarely been known for camera prowess, but the Magic V5 is different. It features a triple rear setup with a 64MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital. There’s also a 50MP main and 50MP ultra-wide sensor, all with flagship-level optics, OIS, EIS, and laser focus.

Honor’s Eagle Eye algorithm helps with subject tracking and clarity even at long range. You also get 4K video from the rear and the 20MP front-facing cameras on both displays.

5. This Might Be the Smartest Foldable Yet

Honor’s YOYO AI assistant turns the Magic V5 into more than a phone. It can summarize documents, remove reflections in photos, generate PowerPoints, and even search your files based on vague memory cues. It syncs across Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and HarmonyOS. You can also AirDrop-style transfer between an iPhone and this foldable.

There’s also Honor’s AI Connect framework, opening the door for deep integration across smart homes, cars, health devices, and travel apps. This is more than multi-device sync; it’s ecosystem-level intelligence.

6. And Yes, It’s Built to Last

This wouldn’t matter if the phone fell apart after a few months. But Honor backs its build with IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance, scratch-resistant outer glass, and a hinge tested for 500,000 folds. There’s even AI-based debris detection to prevent the screen from being damaged while folding.

7. The Verdict

Honor’s Magic V5 isn’t just another thin foldable, it’s the foldable. It doesn’t compromise on performance, display quality, camera tech, or battery life. It’s a smart device built for a smart ecosystem, and it’s backed by materials and software engineering that aim to keep it reliable for years to come.

Whether this will convince traditional flagship buyers to try folding phones is still up in the air, but the Magic V5 makes the strongest case yet.

iQOO 15 Ultra, iQOO 15 to feature triple 50MP cameras including 3x periscope, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2

iQOO is reportedly working on its next flagship series—the iQOO 15. The lineup is said to include the standard iQOO 15 and the iQOO 15 Ultra. In a new leak, the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has mentioned the camera configuration of both models.

iQOO 15 series camera specifications tipped

As per the leak, the standard and Ultra versions of the iQOO 15 will feature the SM8850 chip (tentative name: Snapdragon 8 Elite 2). Reports have revealed that the next-gen processor is based on Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU architecture and is expected to deliver impressive benchmark scores — over 4,000 points in single-core and more than 11,000 in multi-core on Geekbench 6.

The leak reveals that both models feature a 50-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto camera with a medium-sized sensor. He added that that the entire camera setup could consist of three 50-megapixel sensors, covering primary, telephoto, and ultra-wide roles.

According to earlier leaks, the iQOO 15 Ultra may feature a flat 6.85-inch Samsung 2K LTPO panel with extremely thin bezels. This display is said to support Pol-less polarisation removal, anti-reflective coating, and is made using a new LIPO packaging technology that significantly reduces bezel size while maintaining signal stability and clarity. The screen is also reportedly the most expensive panel in the brand’s sub-series yet.

The Ultra edition is also expected to include gaming shoulder buttons, an active cooling fan, and wireless charging support. These features could be absent on the standard edition. The Ultra model is also said to be equipped with a 7,000mAh battery with 100W charging support. The iQOO 15 series is expected to launch in October this year in China.

Apple’s foldable iPad reportedly paused, foldable iPhone testing begins

A new report by DigiTimes sheds light on Apple’s changing strategy in the foldable device segment. Citing supply chain sources, the publication claims Apple has temporarily halted development of its foldable iPad due to a mix of production challenges and cost concerns. The focus has now shifted to getting its first foldable iPhone ready for launch.

Foldable iPad development reportedly on hold

foldable iPad render
foldable iPad mock render

Apple had been developing a large-screen foldable device, described by some as a foldable iPad and by others as an all-display MacBook. However, sources say the company has now paused the project due to manufacturing complexities and high production costs. Creating large, crease-free foldable OLED panels remains a technical challenge, especially at Apple’s quality standards.

Beyond production hurdles, Apple is also reportedly concerned about limited consumer demand for foldable tablets. High pricing could make the product difficult to position in the broader market. The device was rumoured to feature an 18.8-inch to 20.2-inch OLED panel with a seamless fold and a potential release between 2026 and 2028. With development now on hold, this timeline seems increasingly unlikely.

iPhone foldable enters prototype testing

In contrast, development on Apple’s foldable iPhone continues. The device reportedly reached the P1 prototype phase in June 2025 and could enter its Engineering Verification Test (EVT) phase by early 2026.

According to the leak, the foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 7.8-inch OLED display supplied by Samsung, a side-mounted Touch ID scanner, and a titanium alloy frame with a liquid metal hinge for improved durability. Apple aims to achieve an almost invisible crease. The device may debut in September 2026 with a price tag ranging between $2,100 and $2,300.
