Samsung is working on the One UI 8 update, based on Android 16, and it’s beyond just its newest devices. Recent test builds have surfaced for older models like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy S22+, hinting at a broader rollout in the coming months.

Geekbench listings (via SamMobile) show the US variants of the two phones—model numbers SM-F946U (Z Fold 5) and SM-G906U (S22+)—running One UI 8. These early test builds produced modest benchmark scores: around 1,892 single-core and 5,143 multi-core for the Fold 5, and 1,524 and 3,678 for the S22+. That’s typical for pre-release software and suggests Samsung is still fine-tuning the update.

So far, only US models have been spotted, but global variants should follow not long after One UI 8’s official debut. That launch is expected to happen after Samsung’s July 9 Unpacked event, where the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 will be revealed with One UI 8 out of the box. A wider rollout is likely to begin in August or September.

For the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which launched in 2023, this will be its third major Android upgrade. The update is expected to bring small but welcome changes, such as improved AI integration through Google Gemini and smoother system animations. Tipster @Tech_Reve noted on X that the changelog is fairly minimal so far.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 series from 2022 is nearing the end of its software support timeline. One UI 8 will be its final major update, and while it doesn’t seem to include any groundbreaking features, Samsung will continue to deliver security patches. Some users on Samsung’s forums have expressed disappointment at the lack of big changes, though features like battery optimization and improved multitasking could still benefit everyday use.

Vivo X Fold 5 India launch timeline leaks

Vivo is reportedly preparing to bring its next foldable, the X Fold 5, to India shortly after its China debut on June 25th. According to industry sources cited by 91mobiles, the device is expected to launch in India sometime between July 10th and 15th.

Unlike last year, when only the Pro variant made it to India, there is no mention yet of a Pro model for the X Fold 5. That could suggest Vivo is betting on the base variant to carry the load this time. Based on the information available, the X Fold 5 isn’t lacking in hardware ambition.

Vivo X Fold 5 Specifications (Rumored)

The device will reportedly pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. Vivo claims to be using a fourth-gen silicon-carbon anode design, with up to 12 percent silicon content. That is paired with its second-gen semi-solid-state battery tech, which supposedly keeps the phone functional even in extreme cold, as low as -30°C.

Design-wise, the X Fold 5 is said to be roughly 2mm thinner and 20 grams lighter than the X Fold 3 Pro. When folded, it should come in under 8.2mm thick, which could make it one of the slimmest foldables on the market.

The foldable will also have triple ingress protection, including IPX8 for water submersion, IPX9+ for high-pressure resistance while folded underwater, and IP5X for dust resistance on the folding mechanism.

Other confirmed features include an 8T LTPO display on both the inner and cover screens with a local peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a high-frequency PWM dimming rate. The camera setup includes a triple-lens system co-developed with Zeiss, including a periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom.

The Vivo X Fold 5 is expected to arrive in three color options: green, titanium, and white.

Unlike the Z Flip6’s 3.4-inch screen, which was somewhat limited by its placement near the camera module, the Flip7 features a much larger 4-inch square cover screen that extends nearly edge-to-edge. It wraps around the dual cameras with clean cutouts, maximizing usable space for quick interactions. No doubt, it will offer a better user experience while replying to messages or managing notifications.

More evidence of the redesign came from leaked One UI 8 firmware, which hinted at a larger outer display. The idea is clear: make the Z Flip7’s cover screen more useful, so users can do more with the phone folded shut. This not only improves convenience but also reduces reliance on the inner display. This upgrade also refreshes the design, which looked outdated compared to other clamshell phones like the Moto Razr 60 Ultra or the Honor Magic V Flip.

As for the rest of the phone, design changes appear minimal, with Samsung opting to refine rather than reinvent. While the Z Fold7 continues Samsung’s push for slimmer designs and is expected to be one of the thinnest foldables yet, the Z Flip7 is said to retain the same 6.9mm thickness as its predecessor when unfolded.

The Z Flip7 will be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Exynos 2500, depending on the region. It’s also said to pack a 4,300mAh battery, up from the previous model’s 4,000mAh unit.

OnePlus started rolling out OxygenOS 15.0.0.830 for the OnePlus Open in India. The updated version is CPH2551_15.0.0.830(EX01). Only a small number of users will get it today, with a wider rollout coming in a few days.

What’s new in the OnePlus Open OxygenOS 15.0.0.830 update

The biggest addition is remote control support for Windows PCs. You can now control your PC and access PC files directly from your OnePlus Open. OnePlus also improved the cellular network algorithm to make network connections smoother. The update adds a Speaker cleaner feature that cleans your speakers and keeps them working properly. You can find this setting in “Phone Manager – Tools – More – Accessibility & convenience – Speaker cleaner”.

A new drag-and-drop feature lets you use gestures on images and text in third-party apps. You can turn this on or off in “Settings – Accessibility & convenience – Drag & drop”. You can now do fuzzy searches with spaces in Settings. You can also search for app names in Settings to quickly see app details or manage apps. The floating bar in floating windows now responds better. Quick Settings and notification drawer animations are smoother when you exit them. You can now open apps from quick functions even when your screen is locked.

When you have stacked notifications, the newest one will show how many notifications you haven’t seen and where they came from. Search results in Settings now appear in a better order. The update includes the June 2025 Android security patch to improve system security.

If users encounter any bugs in this update, they can submit bug reports through the OnePlus Community App in the “Bug Report” section of their profile. Users can also dial *#800# to access the feedback tool and report issues.

It’s usually quicker with software rollouts and often among the first brands to release the stable version of the latest Android OS.

If your Vivo device is on the list, it will most likely be upgraded to Android 16 when the update starts to roll out. Those missing from the list should wait until the official list is out, as Vivo hasn’t revealed the update policy for many devices, particularly mid-range phones.

Vivo’s software update policy

Vivo offers a decent update policy for its devices — neither too good nor too bad. It promises four years of Android updates to expensive models like the Vivo X200, while the older flagship models are limited to just three. The high-end iQOO smartphones, such as the iQOO 12 and iQOO 13, also get the same treatment.

Moving to the mid-range segment, the recent V-series models, such as the Vivo V40 and V50, promise three Android updates. Older models typically receive only two major upgrades. The cheaper Vivo Y-series and T-series models get up to OS updates.

The recent iQOO Neo models, such as the Neo 10, come with a promise of three Android updates, while the Z-series models only get two.

That’s what the current software update policy from Vivo looks like. It’s better than before, but not the best. At the top are Samsung and Google with up to seven Android updates. Obviously, that’s reserved for high-end phones, but even the recent mid-range Samsung phones receive as many as six OS updates.

Vivo does offer good update support to its premium and newer models, but there’s still a big room for improvement — especially when it comes to transparency and consistency for lower-tier models.

Nothing is expanding its hardware lineup with the Headphone (1), the company’s first pair of over-the-ear headphones that will debut alongside the Phone (3) on July 1.

Thanks to a fresh round of leaks, we’re now getting our clearest look yet at the Headphone (1). And in typical Nothing fashion, the design is anything but conventional.

The standout feature here is a two-part earcup design. Up top, there’s an oval-shaped module encased in transparent plastic. And it rests on a metallic-looking plate with squared-off corners.

The design is a sharp contrast to the smooth, understated curves of rivals like Sony’s WH-1000XM6 or Apple’s AirPods Max. Instead, Nothing’s debut headset feels more like a precision-engineered gadget you’d expect to see in a design museum.

And if you’re interested, here’s how the headphone looks in real life. It’s hard to say if this design will work for or against Nothing, but it’s clear the brand is leaning hard into its identity.

We can spot two buttons on the side and another one on the outer earcup. And a real-life image of the headphone also shows it connected with a 3.5mm cable, so it will have analog support.

Perhaps the most important detail from the leaks is that the Headphone (1) will have its audio tuned by KEF. It’s a British audio company that specializes in all things audio, including speakers, subwoofers, and headphones.

Technical details around the headphones are still scarce, but we do know the expected pricing. An earlier leak claims the Headphone (1) will be sold for $299 in the US and €299 in Europe.

Sales are expected to begin on September 30, two months after the official unveiling. And as you might’ve seen, it will be available in Black and White color options.

Last month, Tecno unveiled the Tecno Pova Curve 5G in India. Now, the brand has globally introduced Pova 7 series, featuring five distinct smartphones designed to appeal to tech enthusiasts and gamers. The lineup includes the Pova 7 Ultra 5G, Pova 7 Pro 5G, Pova 7 5G, Pova 7, and Pova Curve 5G.

The Pova 7 series introduces Tecno’s new “Interstellar Spaceship” design, Mini‑LED Status Light, and HiOS 15 Special software. Users can expect deep AI integration—including Ask Ella, AI Writing, Circle to Search, and AI Studio tools—as well as bold colour options and matching accessories.

At the top of the range, the Pova 7 Ultra model is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip and comes with a 6,000mAh battery. Vivo X200 FE camera specifications, battery size, charging speed officially confirmed

The Vivo X200 FE will be released in multiple markets in the next few weeks. However, it appears that Taiwan will be the first country to receive it, as it is scheduled to launch there on June 23. An updated microsite available on Vivo Malaysia’s website has revealed several details about the X200 FE, where it is set to launch on June 30.

The Vivo X200 FE measures 7.99mm in thickness and weighs 186 grams. It will be available in four shades: Black Luxe, Blue Breeze, Pink Vibe, and Yellow Glow.

As seen in the image above, the Vivo X200 FE will feature a Sony IMX921 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 telephoto camera. According to a report by XpertPick, the telephoto camera will support 3x optical zoom. For selfies, it will be equipped with a 50-megapixel camera with autofocus support, a first for the company’s X-series of smartphones.

The X200 FE will offer Zeiss Style Bokeh and Multifocal Portrait features, allowing users to shoot at five different focal lengths: 23mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm for Landscape Portrait, Narrative Portrait, Classic Portrait, Portrait, and Close-Up Portrait, respectively. The device will include AI-powered photography features, such as AI Image Studio, AI Image Expander, and Stage Mode, which captures clear stage moments and records loud, clear vocals.

Vivo T4 Lite 5G India Launch on June 24: Dimensity 6300, 6000mAh Battery, and 430k+ Antutu Score Confirmed

Vivo has confirmed that the T4 Lite 5G will launch in India on June 24. It will be Vivo’s most affordable 5G smartphone so far, expected to be priced under ₹10,000.

The phone will come with a 6000mAh battery, the biggest battery in its segment. It also features a display with up to 1000 nits peak brightness, making it easier to view in bright light. This is the first phone in this price range to offer that level of brightness.

The T4 Lite 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It supports dual SIM 5G and has expandable storage up to 2TB through a microSD card. While vivo hasn’t shared full memory specs yet, the phone is expected to be similar to the iQOO Z10 Lite, which has up to 8GB of RAM, 8GB of virtual RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. The Z10 Lite also includes an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, so the T4 Lite 5G may offer the same.

Vivo is also expected to include a 50MP rear camera, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed. After launch, the T4 Lite 5G will be available on Flipkart, vivo’s official website, and offline stores. More details, including exact pricing and full specs, will be shared by the company in the coming days.

Oppo Reno 14 5G landing pages go live on Amazon, Flipkart

Oppo has officially confirmed through social media that the Reno 14 5G series will be introduced in the Indian market soon. According to leaks, the series is expected to debut in the first week of July and will likely include two models: the Reno 14 5G and Reno 14 Pro 5G. The series also includes the Reno 14F, but it is unlikely to make it to the Indian market.

Oppo Reno 14 series teasers begin in India

The Oppo Reno 14 series landing pages are now live on Amazon and Flipkart in India. Although the exact launch date hasn’t been disclosed, the phones are tagged as “coming soon.”

The Reno 14 5G series, which was launched in China in May, is expected to carry over the same design and hardware to the Indian market. Teaser images suggest the phones will come in green shade with a triple rear camera setup and flat-edge frame. The standard model is expected to feature a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display, while the Pro version may include a larger 6.83-inch screen with up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. Both support a 120Hz refresh rate and come with Crystal Shield Glass protection.

Under the hood, the Reno 14 may feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip, whereas the Pro could use the Dimensity 8450 SoC. They are likely to ship with Android 15-based ColorOS 15. The camera setup may include a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with a 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

The Reno 14 is expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery, while the Pro model may get a 6,200mAh unit. Both phones are expected to support 80W wired charging, with the Pro possibly supporting 50W wireless charging as well. The series is expected to be priced between Rs 35,000 and Rs 50,000 in India.

Official: Poco F7’s global edition packs smaller battery than its Indian edition

Ahead of the June 24 launch, Poco has officially revealed that the upcoming F7 will differ slightly depending on the region. While both the Indian and global editions will share many of the same features, one key difference stands out—the global variant will arrive with a smaller battery compared to the Indian model, as confirmed by Poco India and Poco Global through their official X handles.

Earlier this month, Poco India confirmed that the Poco F7 will feature a 7,550mAh silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery, making it the largest battery smartphone at launch in the country. However, the global edition will feature a smaller 6,500mAh cell, as confirmed by Poco Global through a recent X post.

While no official explanation has been offered for the discrepancy, it is clear the brand has chosen different configurations based on market priorities. Despite the battery size difference, both models will support 90W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.

Poco F7 key specifications

Earlier, Poco confirmed that the Poco F7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. It will come equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, promising smooth performance. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary shooter. Additionally, the phone will feature a 6,000mm² 3D IceLoop cooling system to help manage thermals during intensive tasks. The Poco F7 will be offered in three color options as seen in the above image.

At present, there is no clue about the Poco F7’s global pricing. Considering that the F7 Pro was priced at $499 at launch, it is likely that the F7 could be priced around $400 to $450. In India, the device will have a sub-Rs 35,000 (~$400) price tag.

Nubia may re-enter Indian market with Nubia Neo 3, Focus 2, and Music 2

After entering the Indian market in 2015, ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia launched several smartphones, including the Nubia Z9 Mini, Z11 Mini, Z11, N1, Z11 MiniS, M2 Lite, N1 Lite, Z17 Mini, N2, M2, and M2 Play. The Z17 Mini, released in 2017, was the last regular smartphone from the brand in India. Between 2018 and 2019, Nubia introduced a couple of Red Magic gaming phones in the country before exiting the Indian market entirely. Recently, brands such as Acer and Alcatel have re-entered the Indian market by partnering with Indian-based manufacturing companies. It appears that Nubia may be planning a comeback using a similar strategy.

Three Nubia phones bag BIS certification in India

As seen in the screenshot above, new Nubia smartphones with model numbers Z2460, Z2462N, and Z2464N have recently received BIS certification in India. These are being manufactured by SkyQuad Electronics & Appliances Pvt. Ltd, a company based in Telangana.

These model numbers correspond to the Nubia Music 2, Nubia Focus 2 5G, and Nubia Neo 3, all of which have already been launched in other countries. Their BIS listings suggest that they could be the first devices marking Nubia’s return to the Indian smartphone market. As of now, there is no official announcement from Nubia regarding its comeback in India.

The Nubia Neo 3 5G is a budget-friendly gaming phone equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, a Unisoc T8300 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup, RGB lighting, gaming shoulder triggers, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. This phone was also introduced in Indonesia with an IDR 2,449,000 (~$150) price tag.

The Nubia Focus 2 5G has a 6.7-inch IPS LCD HD+ 120Hz display, a Unisoc T760 chip, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of built-in storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W charging support, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 108-megapixel triple camera unit, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. This phone is available in Indonesia for IDR 2,000,000 (~$120).

The music-focused Nubia Music 2 is a budget-friendly phone, which is priced at MYR 389 (~$90) in Malaysia. The major highlight of this phone is that it is equipped with a DTX-S Ultra-enabled 2.1 channel audio system featuring three full-range speakers. It comes with other features, such as spatial audio, 95dB max volume, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of specs, it features a 6.7-inch LCD HD+ 120Hz screen, a Unisoc T7200 chip, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging, and a 50-megapixel main camera. It lacks support for 5G connectivity.

Considering the pricing of these phones, Nubia is likely aiming its phones at the Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 price segment.

Nothing confirms what’s replacing the Glyph Interface on Phone (3)

It’s been official for a while now: Nothing is killing the Glyph Interface on the Phone (3). Today, the company revealed what’s taking its place. Say hello to Glyph Matrix.

Glyph Matrix swaps Nothing’s signature LED strips for a dot matrix-style display, similar to what we’ve seen on Asus’ ROG Phone 9 series. The new setup will unsurprisingly be more customizable than the original Glyph Interface and could offer more practical uses for users, beyond just flashy lights.

Nothing Phone (3) render could be fake

Nothing confirmed the Glyph Matrix for the Phone (3) in a latest teaser on X (formerly Twitter). Interestingly, the dot matrix panel now sits on the right side of the phone, not centered, as earlier leaks had suggested.

That detail could mean some of those leaks were off. As 9to5Google pointed out, the newly shared teaser appears to contradict a previously leaked render of the Phone (3).

In that render, the camera module would’ve overlapped with where the Glyph Matrix now appears. With the dot matrix pushed to the right, it’s more likely that the camera setup will be left-aligned. So it seems that the earlier render of the Phone (3) is nothing but fake.

Nothing has also confirmed a few key specs for the Phone (3). It’ll run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, and the company is promising five years of Android updates along with seven years of security patches.

As for the price, an earlier leak claims the device will start at $799 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and $899 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model.

The Phone (3) will be officially unveiled at a launch event in London on July 1, where we’re also expecting to see the debut of Nothing Headphone (1).

At a recent AI technology meet in China, Honor offered a sneak peek at its upcoming foldable phone – the Magic V5. The device made its first public appearance, albeit under wraps, giving away subtle design cues. Additionally, the brand has also rolled out new teasers to showcase V5’s slim design.

As can be seen in the above images, the Honor Magic V5 was seen wearing a confidentiality case, but its slim profile stood out clearly. Its metal frame has flat edges, and the body is reportedly just under 8.93mm thick – nearly matching the thickness of a one Yuan coin. Weighing under 219 grams, the Magic V5 aims to be the lightest and thinnest large foldable phone ever.

The above teasers showcase the Magic V5’s golden edition. The device appears to be equipped with a large, round camera module on the back. Honor has a history of pushing limits in foldable design, and this generation continues that focus.

Alongside the hardware innovation, the Magic V5 will introduce a full-stack personal knowledge base, multi-agent AI coordination, and seamless connectivity across Honor devices – all geared towards a PC-like productivity experience on mobile.

As per leaks, the Magic V5 will feature a 7.95-inch 2K+ LTPO inner display and a 6.45-inch external screen. It’s expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version chip, paired with a 6,100mAh battery – the largest yet in a foldable – along with 80W wired and wireless charging.

Other highlights include a 200-megapixel main camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and support for Beidou satellite messaging. Colour options are said to include Velvet Black, Warm White, Dawn Gold, and Silk Road Dunhuang.

Honor is set to unveil the Magic V5 and other AI-focused devices, including the MagicPad 3 tablet, on July 2 in China.
