OnePlus could be launching the most powerful Android tablet in the US soon

A new premium OnePlus tablet is arriving in the US market soon. A fresh certification sighting has confirmed that the brand is planning on launching a OnePlus Pad 3R. However, it seems like this isn’t a brand new tablet, but it could be a rebranded model from an existing OnePlus Pad. So let’s check it out.

OnePlus Pad 3R coming to the US

The Chinese smartphone maker’s upcoming OnePlus Pad 3R recently surfaced on the FCC database carrying the OPD2408 model number. Looking at the listing, the new tablet would also support the OnePlus Pencil. Unfortunately, no other information was revealed on the FCC database (Via PhoneArena). The OnePlus Pad 3R might be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro. To recall, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is expected to be a rebranded version of the Oppo Pad 4 Pro that launched in China earlier this month.

This is a flagship grade tablet that offers cutting edge specs and features. If this is true, the OnePlus Pad 3R could be the most powerful Android tablet in the US market. The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro (or Oppo Pad 4 Pro) is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite that also powers the OnePlus 13 and other flagship Android smartphones. This chip may be paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

On the front, it could sport a tall 13.2-inch IPS LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,400 x 3,392 resolution, Dolby Vision, and an 8MP selfie shooter. The rear is expected to feature a 13MP camera. A massive 12,140mAh battery pack powers this tablet, which supports 67W wired fast charging. The OnePlus Pad 3R would likely run on the Android 15 OS out of the box.

G-SHOCK DW-5600BBR-1 Watch Debuts in a Stealthy Black & Red Finish

G-SHOCK’s UK website has listed a new model, the DW-5600BBR-1, featuring an amber-backlit LCD, a black resin case, and bold red accents. This design appears to be a color variant of the brand’s classic all-black DW-5600UBB-1, targeting a mature, rugged aesthetic.

G-Shock DW-5600BBR-1 features

The watch includes a 5-year battery life, LED backlight, and a bio-based plastic case (part of Casio’s eco-friendly efforts). The amber LCD screen improves readability in low light, paired with red highlights on the strap and bezel. The product description labels it under the “BLACK AND BOLD RED” series, suggesting more models in this color theme may follow.

The DW-5600BBR-1 combines G-SHOCK’s signature durability with a stealthy look. It retains the square DW-5600 shape, known for shock resistance and water resistance. The G-Shock DW-5600BBR-1 is priced at £99.90 on Casio’s UK website. It is also confirmed to be a limited edition. Casio has not confirmed if it will launch in Japan or other regions.

In other news, Casio has teamed up with lifestyle brand MondaySleepingClub to give its DW-5600 watch a fresh green update. The result is the G-Shock DW-5610UU-3PRM, a model currently exclusive to China. It comes with a green resin case, a bio-based strap featuring the phrase “Sleep Well, Stay Healthy,” and themed packaging.

Google’s new Auto-Reboot feature will reboot your Android if locked for 3 days

Google is rolling out a new security trick for Android phones and tablets with the latest Google Play Services update. If your device stays locked for three days straight, it’ll automatically restart, and yes, it keeps your data extra safe. This feature, tucked into version 25.14, is all about making sure your info stays locked down, no matter where your device ends up.

A feature that reboots your Android phone or tablet after 72 hours of being locked

As noted in the changelog under Security & Privacy, “With this feature, your device automatically restarts if locked for 3 consecutive days.” It applies to both smartphones and tablets but skips other form factors like TVs and Wear OS devices, at least for now.

But how does it actually benefit? Well, a reboot puts your device into a Before First Unlock (BFU) state, where your data is encrypted and tough to crack until you unlock it for the first time. This processing load could also explain the brief lag you experience as you unlock the device after a reboot.

Your device does not accept biometric login methods like fingerprint or face unlock, which also adds an extra layer of security. Pixel users might notice the lockscreen nudge: “Unlock for all features and data.” It’s a bit like Apple’s Inactivity Reboot in iOS 18.1.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold

The best part? Since it’s through Play Services, most Android devices will get this feature, and they require neither a full OS update (since a significant portion of active Android devices are out of support) nor any action from the user.

Even if your device has reached its end-of-support, it may still get this new security feature, as it’s part of a Google Play Services update. Now, this feature can interfere with certain use cases, like always-on tablets. That’s why Google is making it optional—so users who need to can turn it off. The rollout is happening now, but it might take a few weeks to reach your device.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion vs Realme 14 Pro: A Close Look at Specs, Value & Features

Comparing the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and Realme 14 Pro highlights how mid-range smartphones are becoming more competitive than ever. Both aim to deliver flagship-like features at a budget-friendly price, but they approach this goal with different priorities, from design and display sharpness to battery life and camera versatility. This comparison helps clarify which phone offers better overall value depending on daily needs, whether it’s performance, endurance, or flexibility that matters most.

1. Design and Display

Realme 14 Pro
Realme 14 Pro

Build and Feel:
Both the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and Realme 14 Pro are built for durability with IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H compliance. Motorola adds an extra layer of appeal through its eco-leather silicone polymer back, which offers a more premium, textured finish compared to Realme’s standard glass design. The unique Pantone-certified colors further give Motorola an edge in design personality.

Display Quality:
Both phones feature OLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates and identical peak brightness of 4500 nits, offering excellent visibility even in bright conditions. However, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion steps ahead with a higher 1220 x 2712 resolution, which produces sharper visuals compared to Realme’s 1080 x 2392 display. This results in cleaner text and more refined image clarity during daily use or media consumption.

Verdict:
While both devices look modern and durable, Motorola offers both a sharper display and a more premium back design, making it the stronger option for users who prioritize both style and visual detail.

2. Specifications

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion

Performance:
Both phones are equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipsets, but Motorola’s India variant features the slightly more advanced Dimensity 7400. Daily performance remains similar across both devices, handling apps and games smoothly. However, Motorola also includes a microSD card slot, a key feature absent on the Realme 14 Pro.

Battery and Charging:
Realme 14 Pro holds the advantage in raw battery capacity with a 6000mAh Si/C Li-Ion unit, which promises extended screen-on time. On the other hand, Motorola compensates with 68W fast charging, outperforming Realme’s 45W speed. Motorola is designed to recharge more quickly, cutting down on downtime significantly.

Verdict:
Realme offers more battery endurance, but Motorola balances capacity with far faster charging and expandable storage, which suits users who prefer flexibility and reduced charging wait times.

3. Camera

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion

Main and Secondary Lenses:
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and Realme 14 Pro both use 50MP main cameras with OIS and PDAF, ensuring solid image quality for general photography. However, Motorola pairs this with a 13MP ultrawide lens, while Realme only offers a 2MP depth sensor, limiting its versatility for wide-angle shots.

Selfie Camera:
Motorola features a 32MP front camera that can shoot up to 4K video, while Realme sticks to a 16MP sensor limited to 1080p. This gives Motorola an upper hand for both photography and high-quality video calls.

Verdict:
Motorola offers more versatile camera hardware both at the back and front, making it a better option for photography enthusiasts and users who record video content.

4. Pricing

Realme 14 Pro
Realme 14 Pro

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is priced at around $350 USD, while the Realme 14 Pro is slightly more affordable at approximately $325 USD. The Realme appeals to budget-conscious users by offering a lower price point combined with a larger battery. On the other hand, the Motorola justifies its slightly higher price through a sharper display, faster charging, expandable storage, and better camera versatility.

Verdict:
While Realme’s price is more wallet-friendly, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion offers better long-term value for users who prioritize display quality, charging speed, and camera flexibility.

5. Conclusion

Realme 14 Pro
Realme 14 Pro

Motorola’s key differentiators are its eco-leather Pantone design, microSD card support, and Smart Connect (Ready For) feature, which transforms the phone into a mini desktop when paired with a larger screen, a feature missing entirely on the Realme 14 Pro. Realme’s standout highlight is its 6000mAh Si/C Li-Ion battery, which is built for long runtimes, making it ideal for users who spend extended periods away from a charger.

Verdict:
Motorola focuses on style, productivity, and versatility, while Realme emphasizes endurance. The choice depends on whether long battery life or multipurpose features hold more value for the user.

Galaxy S23’s One UI 7 update may face another delay

Samsung fans hoping to see the One UI 7 update hit their Galaxy S23 series by April 22 might need to hold off a bit longer. Canadian carrier Telus had listed that date for the Android 15-based rollout, sparking excitement, but they’ve since removed it from their site. It suggests the update could be pushed back, leaving S23 users waiting for the sleek new interface.

Galaxy S23 series was expected to get the update this month

The Galaxy S23 series—S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, and S23 FE—was expected to get One UI 7 this month, with Telus initially pointing to April 22 for the flagship trio. But that info’s gone now, and it’s actually not surprising given Samsung’s bumpy One UI 7 journey.

The company has already paused the rollout for the Galaxy S24 series due to a pesky phone-unlocking bug, especially on Exynos-powered models. Samsung’s likely playing it safe to avoid similar headaches on the S23 lineup, which only joined the beta program in March.

While it’s a bummer to wait, this delay could mean a smoother experience when the update finally drops. There’s still a chance the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra could see One UI 7 by the end of April, but the S23 FE is already slated for May alongside other FE models.

If Samsung needs more time to iron out kinks, all S23 models might not get the update until next month. For now, S23 owners should keep an eye on their Software Update settings and stay patient—Samsung’s working to make sure this one’s worth the wait.

Realme GT 7T spotted on Geekbench, could be a rebadged Neo 7 SE

Realme is all set to unveil the Realme GT 7 with the Dimensity 9400 Plus onboard on April 23 in China. However, it is said to be preparing a different GT 7 series for the global market. A recent Geekbench listing revealed that the GT 7’s global version will feature the Dimensity 9300 Plus and could be a rebranded version of China’s Realme Neo 7. Now, a new development suggests that the Realme GT 7T for the global market could be a rebranded version of China’s Realme Neo 7 SE, which went official in February of this year.

Realme GT 7T Geekbench listing spotted

Realme GT 7T Geekbench
Realme GT 7T Geekbench

Folks at XpertPick have spotted the Realme GT 7T’s Geekbench listing. Although the listing does not specify the name of the device, reports suggest that the model number RMX5085 mentioned in it will have the Realme GT 7T as its final marketing name.

As per the Geekbench listing, the Realme GT 7T will feature the Dimensity 8400. The chipset’s name is not mentioned in the listing, but the CPU and GPU details mentioned in it are sufficient to confirm that it will feature the said chipset.

The GT 7T’s Geekbench listing states that it will have 8GB of RAM and Android 15. It scored 1,132 points in the single-core test of Geekbench 6 and 5,668 in its multi-core test.

As per a previous report, the Realme GT 7T will come with INT (intercom) and NFC connectivity features. It is also said to have a blue option among its color options.

Realme Neo 7 SE
Realme Neo 7 SE

Realme unveiled the Dimensity 8400-Max powered Neo 7 SE earlier this year in China. It appears that the GT 7T heading to the global market could be a rebranded version of the Neo 7 SE. Hence, it is expected to arrive with a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED 1.5K 120Hz screen, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel (main, OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera setup, up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging, and an IP68/69-rated body.

Gemini Live’s Camera and Screen Sharing now Free for all Android users

Gemini Live’s camera and screen-sharing features, once exclusive to Gemini Advanced subscribers and a few flagship models like the Galaxy S25 series, are now rolling out free to all Android users. Announced today, this feature will let you chat with Gemini about what’s on your screen or in front of you (through your camera), making your phone a smarter sidekick. The rollout will be completed over the next few weeks.

A feature to show AI exactly what you’re talking about

Gemini Live, Google’s conversational AI, just got a major upgrade. Last week, camera and screen sharing started hitting Advanced subscribers. Now, Google is opening the doors to everyone with an Android device to experience this feature. If the demonstrations are anything to go by, it’s a very convenient feature to have on your phone.

Want to learn more about a recipe you’re scrolling through or a weird plant you spotted? Just tap the “Share screen with Live” chip in the Gemini overlay, confirm, and you’re all set for a quick conversation where Gemini sees exactly what you’re talking about. A little counter pops up in your status bar, and you can stop sharing anytime via the notification shade. Samsung announced a similar feature called “Real-Time Visual AI” just a few days ago for its 2025 flagships.

For camera sharing, head to the fullscreen Gemini Live interface and hit the camera button. A viewfinder opens, letting you switch between front and rear lenses. Google suggests steady movements for the best results, and your screen needs to stay active for video capture.

It’s a bold move to make AI more accessible, and we’re excited to see how Android users put these tools to work.

Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet leak reveals Snapdragon 8 Elite and launch timeframe

It looks like Lenovo is getting ready to introduce a new Legion tablet in China. The company gave us a sneak peek at the front and back of the upcoming device on Wednesday via a teaser on Weibo.

And while the teaser confirms it’s part of Lenovo’s Legion line, it stops short of revealing the official name. However, according to Chinese tipster WhyLab, the tablet is likely the next-gen Legion Y700, a follow-up to Lenovo’s gaming-focused 8.8-inch slate.

From the teaser, it seems like Lenovo is making some design tweaks this time around. The new model may drop the dual rear cameras of its predecessor in favor of a single shooter. The front, however, sticks to a familiar layout.

Upcoming Lenovo Legion Y700 will have Snapdragon 8 Elite

In a separate leak, reliable source Digital Chat Station shared what looks to be a comprehensive spec sheet. The new Legion tablet will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Its predecessor has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

On the front, it will feature an 8.8-inch LCD panel made by TCL Huaxing. The screen will have a sharp 3K resolution and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate.

Moreover,  DCS claims the device will pack a battery capacity somewhere between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh. Rounding out the hardware are dual X-axis linear motors and a dual-speaker setup.

While Lenovo hasn’t confirmed a launch date, DCS hints that the tablet could debut in May. Coincidentally, Lenovo has an AI conference set on May 7th. As the tablet’s teaser suggests a focus on AI features, there is a strong chance the tablet will be unveiled during the conference.

CMF Phone 2 Pro confirmed to use Dimensity 7300 Pro

Nothing’s CMF sub-brand is gearing up to launch its first Pro model, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, on April 28. Flipkart just officially confirmed a detail: this phone’s going to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. So, what’s different from the chip in the original CMF Phone 1?

Handles 120FPS in BGMI, claims Nothing

The CMF Phone 2 Pro is getting a slight edge with the Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, an upgrade over the Dimensity 7300 that’s in the CMF Phone 1. According to Flipkart’s landing page, the Pro version offers a 10% boost in CPU speed and a 5% improvement in graphics.

It’s not a massive jump, honestly, and some might wonder if the “Pro” name is a bit of a stretch for those gains. Still, it should make apps run relatively smoother and keep things snappy. Plus, for gamers, the phone’s apparently capable of running BGMI at a super-smooth 120fps, which is a nice perk for many. The phone has already been spotted on Geekbench 6.4.0 with single and multi-core scores of just over 1000 and almost 3000, respectively. As for the design, the sides are flat, and the front bezels appear to be slightly slimmer than those of the Phone 1.

There’s also a 6th-gen MediaTek NPU in there, rated at 4.8 TOPS for AI stuff, but we’re not totally sure how it compares to the regular 7300’s NPU. For a second-gen phone, the upgrades feel a bit modest, but it’s probably still a solid pick for everyday use. With the launch just days away, we’re curious to see what else the CMF Phone 2 Pro has in store. Fingers crossed for more exciting specs!

Original story continues…

Oppo is all set to unveil the Oppo K13 5G on April 21 in India. It appears that the brand is also gearing up to launch a new K-series phone in China. It seems that India’s K13 may get rebranded as the Oppo K13x in China.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo is soon going to launch a new phone, which will be advertised as the “king of battery life” as it will come with key features like a 7,000mAh battery, 80W charging, and a single-cell graphite solution battery with higher power efficiency.

The smartphone is said to be equipped with a new Snapdragon chipset, a 5700mm² vapor chamber (VC) cooling system, NFC, an IR blaster, dual speakers, and a flat display. He added that the device will be available at an affordable price.

It seems that the tipster is talking about the Oppo PLD110 phone that was recently approved by the TENAA authority. In all likelihood, this device will be dubbed the K13x when it debuts in China.

Its specifications include a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera setup, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, and a 7,000mAh battery (6,820mAh – rated value) with 80W charging (as per 3C certification).

The TENAA listing also states that the Oppo PLD110 is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster. As far as its chipset is concerned, a previous leak revealed that it will feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset.

Interestingly, these specifications are also available on the Oppo K13 5G, heading to India. Also, the design of the K13x, revealed via TENAA images, is an exact match with that of the Oppo K13. Therefore, the same phone will be called the Oppo K13x in China, and it will be dubbed the Oppo K13 in India.
