Retroid’s New Pocket Flip 2 Brings More Power, AMOLED, and a Fresh Port Layout

Retroid has officially introduced the Pocket Flip 2, its latest clamshell gaming handheld, bringing a series of meaningful upgrades over its predecessor. The device retains its signature foldable design but now sports a larger 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and a peak brightness of 500 nits, making it a more vibrant and practical screen for gaming on the go.

Retroid Pocket Flip 2

Retroid Pocket Flip 2 Specifications

Under the hood, the Pocket Flip 2 offers two powerful processor choices: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or a MediaTek Dimensity 1100, both of which significantly outperform the Unisoc T618 found in the first-gen model.

This means smoother gameplay, improved multitasking, and overall faster performance. Retroid also doubles the RAM, equipping the Flip 2 with 8GB of LPDDR4x memory, while storage gets a major boost to 128GB of UFS 3.1, offering faster load times and better efficiency.

Retroid Pocket Flip 2

The operating system also gets an update—while the original Flip shipped with Android 11, the new Flip 2 runs Android 13, offering better performance, security, and compatibility with the latest apps and emulators.

In terms of design, the new model is slightly larger and heavier, now weighing around 300 grams. The updated layout positions the analog sticks above the D-Pad and action buttons, making controls more ergonomic. To keep temperatures in check, the Flip 2 retains the active cooling system, preventing thermal throttling during extended gaming sessions.

Connectivity sees an upgrade as well. The Snapdragon version supports Bluetooth 5.1, while the Dimensity variant comes with Bluetooth 5.2, offering improved range and stability. Additionally, both models now support Wi-Fi 6 for faster wireless performance.

Retroid has also reworked the port layout. The Flip 2 removes the microHDMI port in favor of a USB-C DisplayPort output, enabling 1080p 60Hz external display support. It retains a microSD card slot for expandable storage and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio.

Retroid Pocket Flip 2

Battery life remains unchanged, with a 5,000mAh cell powering the handheld. The Snapdragon version supports 27W fast charging, while the Dimensity model is limited to 18W. Pricing details have yet to be announced, but given the hardware improvements, it’s expected to be more expensive than the original, which launched at around $160. More details on availability should surface soon.

Samsung Galaxy A26 debuts with six years of updates, Exynos 1380 inside

Samsung just unveiled its latest A-series lineup, and the Galaxy A26 is the most affordable of the bunch. Announced alongside the Galaxy A36 and A56, it shares some key features with its pricier siblings—like IP-rated water resistance, long-term software support, a big battery, and AI-powered features. But there are some clear trade-offs, too. Let’s break it down.

Galaxy A26 specs

The Galaxy A26 sports a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. But the first thing you’ll notice is its waterdrop-style notch—a design choice Samsung seems to reserve for its more budget-friendly A-series models, like the A16 and A06, instead of opting for a hole-punch cutout.

That notch houses a 13MP front camera, while on the back, there’s a triple-camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens.

Powering the phone is Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 chip—the same processor found in last year’s Galaxy A35. It’s paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, with support for microSD expansion.

The A26 packs a 5,000mAh battery, just like the A36 and A56, but it charges slower at 25W.

Samsung-Galaxy-A56-software-updates

Despite being the cheapest of the trio, the A26 doesn’t skimp on software support. It ships with One UI 7 based on Android 15 and gets the same six-year update commitment as its pricier counterparts. That also means you get Samsung’s “Awesome Intelligence” AI features, like Circle to Search and Object Eraser.

Other notable features include an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a microSD card slot.

Price and availability

The Galaxy A26 comes in Black, Green, and White, with pricing varying by region:

  • USA
    • 256GB Galaxy A26: $299.99
  • Europe
    • 128GB Galaxy A26: €299
    • 256GB Galaxy A26: €369
  • UK
    • 256GB Galaxy A26: £299

Samsung’s latest budget phone keeps the essentials while cutting a few corners—but at this price, it might just be a solid deal.

Samsung’s Galaxy A36 brings Galaxy AI to the mid-range lineup

Alongside the Galaxy A56, Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A36 worldwide. The new mid-ranger gets upgrades in design, camera, and performance—plus, like the A56, it’s among the first in the A-series to feature Awesome Intelligence (AI).

Samsung Galaxy A36 Specs and Features

The Galaxy A36 sports a slightly larger 6.7-inch display (up from 6.6 inches on its predecessor), which now reaches 1,200 nits of brightness instead of 1,000 nits. It’s still a Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.

Samsung has also trimmed the weight and thickness, bringing it down to 195 grams and 7.4mm, while retaining IP67 water and dust resistance.

Under the hood, the A36 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, built on Samsung’s 4nm process. It runs One UI 7 on Android 15 and is promised six years of major OS and security updates, keeping it relevant until 2031.

And yes, Awesome AI is here too—bringing features like Circle to Search, Object Eraser, and AI-generated custom filters. For those unfamiliar, Awesome AI is Samsung’s branding for select AI features on its mid-range phones, bringing a slice of Galaxy AI from the flagship S-series.

Samsung-Galaxy-A56-software-updates

Camera hardware remains unchanged from the A35, meaning it features a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro lens. The selfie camera, however, has been swapped for a 12MP sensor, which might seem like a downgrade from the 13MP on the A35, but it’s actually the same sensor used in the Galaxy S24 series.

A 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging keeps things running. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB-C, with support for dual SIM and eSIM.

Pricing and Availability

Despite all the upgrades, Samsung has kept the A36’s price the same as its predecessor. Here’s how the pricing breaks down across different markets:

  • USA
    • 128GB Galaxy A36: $399
  • Europe
    • 128GB Galaxy A36: €379
    • 256GB Galaxy A36: €449
  • UK
    • 256GB Galaxy A36: £399

Samsung’s Galaxy A56 brings 45W charging, a new Exynos chip, and “Awesome Intelligence” AI

As expected, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy A56 with a refreshed design, faster 45W charging, and the company’s in-house Exynos 1580 chipset. But the real headline here is AI—or as Samsung calls it, Awesome Intelligence.

Samsung has been pushing its AI features for flagship devices like the Galaxy S25 Ultra under the Galaxy AI branding, but the A56 gets its own fork.

Awesome Intelligence, according to Samsung, is the first comprehensive mobile AI exclusively available on Galaxy A56 5G. That said, it’s not a full port of Galaxy AI—some flagship features remain exclusive to premium models.

What Awesome Intelligence (AI) features does the Galaxy A56 get?

The Galaxy A56 still packs some of the most hyped AI tools, including:

  • Circle to Search, a Google-powered feature that lets you search anything on-screen with a simple gesture.
  • Best Face, which allows you to choose the best facial expressions for up to five people from a motion photo.
  • Object Eraser, to remove unwanted objects from photos.
  • Filters, which let you generate custom filters based on the colors and style of your own images.
Samsung Galaxy A56 Awesome Intelligence

All these Awesome Intelligence features are baked into One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. And Samsung is offering a flagship-level software support promise for the phone—six years of Android upgrades and security patches.

A new Exynos chip, a vapor chamber, and a brighter display

At the heart of the Galaxy A56 is the Exynos 1580, paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Samsung says the phone also includes a large vapor chamber for better thermal management.

The device features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts 1,200 nits of HBM brightness and 1,900 nits peak brightness, all protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. The back panel also gets the Victus+ treatment, while the frame is made of aluminum.

The Galaxy A56 has also received a slight design refresh compared to its predecessor. Instead of separate camera rings like on the Galaxy A55, Samsung has now switched to a pill-shaped module that houses all three lenses — a 50MP f/1.8 main, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro camera. On the front, there’s a 12MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

Powering everything is a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging—making it Samsung’s first non-flagship phone to support this speed. According to Samsung, it can go from 0 to 100% in just 1 hour and 8 minutes.

Galaxy A56 pricing and availability

The Galaxy A56 will be available in four colors:

  • Awesome Pink
  • Awesome Olive
  • Awesome Graphite
  • Awesome Light Gray

Here’s how pricing breaks down across different markets:

USA

  • 128GB – $499

Europe

  • 128GB – €479
  • 256GB – €529

UK

  • 256GB – £499

The 128GB variant will be the only option in the US, while Europe and the UK will also get the 256GB model.

Xiaomi is slashing battery replacement costs for phones and tablets this week

Xiaomi smartphone and tablet users looking to extend their device’s lifespan now have an excellent opportunity, as Xiaomi has launched a limited-time battery replacement promotion. From March 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM to March 7, 2025, at 12:00 AM in China, users can replace their aging batteries with official high-quality replacements at 20% off.

Xiaomi’s Spring Service Week

Why Consider a Battery Replacement?

Over time, batteries naturally degrade due to regular charging and discharging cycles. This leads to shorter battery life, reduced performance, and frequent recharging. While abnormal wear from overheating, overcharging, or physical damage can accelerate this process, even normal use eventually results in reduced efficiency. Instead of replacing the entire device, opting for an official battery replacement ensures smoother performance and extended usability.

The promotion covers a wide range of Redmi and Xiaomi smartphones, with prices starting as low as 79.20 yuan ($10.87) after the discount. Popular models such as the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 12 series, and Xiaomi 12 Pro are included in the offer. Notably, higher-end models like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which normally costs 219 yuan ($30) for a battery replacement, are available at 175.20 yuan ($24) under this limited-time offer.

Xiaomi is also extending the discount to its Pad series, ensuring users of devices like the Xiaomi Pad 5, Pad 5 Pro 12.4, and Pad 6 Pro can get a fresh battery for just 206.40 yuan ($28) instead of 258 yuan ($35). This makes it an ideal time for tablet users to refresh their device’s power source.

Beyond smartphones and tablets, Xiaomi’s Spring Service Week covers laptops and home appliances as well. Wall-mounted air conditioners receive a 10% discount on servicing, priced at 99 yuan ($14), including dust removal and mold prevention. Washing machine maintenance is also available for 99 yuan ($14), while range hood cleaning comes with a 40% discount to tackle oil buildup and improve air quality.

By taking advantage of this promotion, users can restore battery life, improve efficiency, and avoid unnecessary upgrades. Xiaomi’s official replacement service ensures safety, compatibility, and reliability, making it the best choice for those looking to keep their devices in peak condition. With just a one-week window, now is the time to act before the offer expires.

The intricate engravings on the body reinforce its exclusivity, while 24K gold detailing elevates the aesthetic. This isn’t just a limited edition, it’s a singular masterpiece. Caviar confirms that only one unit of the Galaxy S25 Ultra Viper will be produced, available exclusively by personal request.

Beyond its bespoke design, the Galaxy S25 Ultra Viper retains all the high-end specifications of Samsung’s latest flagship. It features a 6.9-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, up to 12GB RAM, and 1TB storage.

The camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, a 10MP telephoto (3x zoom), and a 50MP periscope lens (5x optical, 100x Space Zoom). It also comes with a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, IP68 water resistance, and Wi-Fi 7 support. This luxury edition is priced at over $9,000.

This isn’t Caviar’s first foray into extravagant designs. Earlier this year, the company introduced an ultra-luxury iPhone 16 Pro collection for Valentine’s Day and a limited-edition gold-plated Bitcoin iPhone 16 Pro, restricted to just 47 units.

Samsung still hasn’t finalized One UI 7 release timeline

One UI 7 release timeline

One UI 7 is one of Samsung’s biggest software upgrades, but its rollout has been probably the worst so far. The brand has not even upgraded a single Galaxy device to One UI. Therefore, the hottest question among Galaxy owners right now is: When is One UI 7 coming to Galaxy devices? Samsung has been completely silent on this. However, a person from the One UI beta team recently shared some information, which only made the matter worse.

If you’ve been tracking One UI 7 news lately, you’d know that a One UI 7 release timeline surfaced on the internet, supposedly leaked out of a Zoom meeting held by Samsung Romania. As per the leaked timeline, the One UI 7 stable rollout will begin on April 18, starting with the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 6/Flip 6. The leak also details the rollout date for dozens of Galaxy devices. It seems that was only a speculated timeline, as Samsung still hasn’t finalized the One UI 7 rollout.

A Samsung Community moderator part of the One UI beta team said, “Samsung is focused on ensuring a stable and polished release, which is why we avoid providing a fixed timeline until it’s finalized.” He also claims there’s no official release date for the stable One UI 7 update, as the team is still working to refine the software based on beta feedback and ongoing optimizations. This puts all the rumored release dates and timelines to rest.

One UI 7 rollout news

While it’s good to read Samsung’s take on the recent leaks, a much better take could have been the announcement of the One UI 7 timeline. Samsung is testing the patience of Galaxy fans, which doesn’t seem to be ending very soon. This is really disappointing from the brand, given that it has released entry-level phones like Galaxy A06 5G and Galaxy M06 with One UI 7 out of the box while leaving premium devices like Galaxy S24 series and Z Flip 6/Fold 6 in the queue without any release timeline.

While Samsung is busy dealing with One UI 7 bugs and fixes, Google is halfway through the Android 16 development. The beta 2.1 was just rolled out yesterday, with the stable version expected to be released around June. Samsung needs to keep this in mind as well because if the delay like One UI 7 becomes the new normal for the brand, this could negatively impact the sales figure.

What to Expect from the Nothing Phone (3a) Series

Starting with the design, both phones will feature a completely different look. The Phone (3a) builds on the design of Phone (2a), but the Phone (3a) Pro introduces a brand new aesthetic in Nothing’s product lineup.

Under the hood, both devices are rumored to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Up front, you’re looking at a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Panda Glass protection, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Powering it all is a 5,000mAh battery, which reportedly charges fully in 56 minutes. As expected, the phones will run Android 15 with Nothing OS 3 out of the box.

The camera setup gets a reasonable split in hardware. Both models feature a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens, but the Pro variant steps things up with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The standard model, meanwhile, sticks with 2x zoom.

Nothing is also teasing a new feature called Essential Space. It appears to be tied to a dedicated button on the side of the phone, though the company hasn’t revealed exactly how it works just yet.

Dell’s new 27-inch UltraSharp monitor packs 4K, 120Hz & low blue light tech

Dell has introduced the U2725QE, a 27-inch UltraSharp series monitor aimed at professionals, in the Chinese market. It will be available for purchase starting March 3 at a price of 4,699 yuan ($645). Let’s check out its key specs.

Dell U2725QE Monitor

Dell U2725QE Specifications

The U2725QE features a 3840×2160 resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio, delivering sharp and detailed visuals. It has an IPS Black panel, which enhances contrast with a 3000:1 ratio, significantly higher than standard IPS panels. This technology equips the display with deeper blacks, 47% darker than conventional IPS screens, improving shadow detail and creating a richer viewing experience.

The display comes with VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, supporting a peak brightness of 600 nits. This ensures vibrant, high-contrast images even in bright environments. It also supports a wide color gamut, covering 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, 99% DCI-P3, and 99% Display P3, making it ideal for professionals working with color-sensitive tasks. Dell ensures accuracy by factory-calibrating each unit to a color precision of Delta E<1.5, providing near-perfect color reproduction.

The monitor supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother performance, reducing motion blur and screen tearing. It also features a 5ms response time in fast mode (8ms standard), ensuring minimal lag and precise real-time interactions.

Designed with user comfort in mind, the U2725QE is TÜV Rheinland-certified with a five-star Eye Comfort rating. It features hardware-level low blue light technology that reduces harmful blue light emissions by 15% over previous generations while maintaining accurate colors. The monitor also includes an ambient light sensor that adjusts brightness based on surrounding conditions, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience throughout the day.

For seamless connectivity, it equips a Thunderbolt 4 port with 140W power delivery, supporting both video and data transmission while charging devices. Additional connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 (both input and output), USB-C, USB-A (10Gbps), RJ45 Ethernet (2.5GbE), and an audio jack. It also features a pop-out interface for quick access to frequently used ports.

The monitor is highly adjustable, offering a 150mm height adjustment, -5° to 21° tilt, -45° to 45° swivel, and 90° pivot rotation, making it adaptable to different working setups. The design follows Dell’s refined “Platinum Silver Plus” aesthetic, featuring a fingerprint-resistant silver finish, an integrated cable management system, and an elegant curved base.

Durability and service are also a priority. The U2725QE comes with a three-year premium panel exchange, meaning even a single bright pixel qualifies for a free replacement. Additionally, it includes three years of on-site replacement service, ensuring minimal downtime for professionals. The dimensions of the monitor, including the stand, are 612.44mm × 189.00mm × 385.68mm (minimum height).

In related news, Lenovo has introduced its first 240Hz OLED gaming monitor, delivering high-end performance. Meanwhile, Thunderobot has launched the Black Warrior ZQ27F210L, a 27-inch 2K gaming monitor with a rapid 210Hz refresh rate.

One UI 7 beta program isn’t exclusive to Galaxy S24 series

One UI 7 beta program

The One UI 7 beta program kicked off with a slight delay in early December 2024. As anyone would expect, the latest flagship — the Galaxy S24 series — was the first to get an early taste of the newest software. So far, the Galaxy S24 models have received multiple One UI 7 betas, but other users have been left waiting. At one point, it seemed the brand might not push One UI 7 beta to more devices, but fresh information suggests otherwise.

It’s been around four months since the first One UI 7 beta was released, and Samsung is yet to open the beta program for more Galaxy devices. This has never happened in the One UI history. Usually, the beta program expands to more devices within weeks, but not this time. Some reports suggested that Samsung won’t expand the One UI 7 beta program beyond Galaxy S24 and directly release the stable build instead. But no, that’s not happening, unfortunately.

Recently, the One UI 7 beta builds for the Galaxy S23 models were spotted on the server, suggesting that Samsung might announce the beta program for these 2023 flagships. Beta builds were also spotted for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. More concrete evidence showed up when Samsung created dedicated pages for Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, and Galaxy S23 in the One UI Beta Program subforum on its community website.

So, Samsung isn’t restricting the One UI 7 beta program to the Galaxy S24 series. But isn’t that too late? While the beta program would allow users to explore new features before the stable release, the beta testing itself takes a few weeks (at least), and that would push the stable further. We aren’t against beta testing. It’s good for the users as it allows the brand to test and refine the software to give a nearly bug-free experience, but this massive delay somewhat reduces the excitement. Samsung should have released the stable build by now. By the way, if you want to have a look at the possible release timeline, check this post.

2. Here’s when will Samsung phones get the stable One UI 7 update

Samsung is clearly not communicating well with Galaxy fans. The brand hasn’t properly justified the significant delay behind the One UI 7 rollout. They have only said that One UI 7 is a significant upgrade, and the development took more than two years. We all know Samsung is capable of implementing major changes within a shorter time frame. There are also theories floating on the internet, such as Samsung intentionally delaying the One UI 7 rollout to boost Galaxy S25 sales. Well, we don’t know the exact reason, but Samsung does, and I firmly believe the brand should address the delay and give valid reasons to justify it. Or at least they should start the stable rollout without further delay.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra vs Galaxy S25 Ultra: Battle of the Ultra Phones

Xiaomi and Samsung are back with their latest premium flagships, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Both phones promise top-tier specs, advanced cameras, and the latest processors. But how do they stack up against each other? Let’s break it down.

Galaxy S25 Ultra vs Xiaomi 15 Ultra

1. Design and Build

Xiaomi 15 Ultra rear view
Xiaomi 15 Ultra

Neither Xiaomi nor Samsung is reinventing the wheel this year. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra sticks to a curved front and metal frame, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra continues with its now familiar industrial design.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra sports a titanium frame which makes it both lighter and more durable than aluminum. It also features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back and Corning Gorilla Armor 2 on the front. And at 218g, it’s slightly lighter than the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

Xiaomi is using an aerospace-grade glass fiber or eco-leather on the back of the 15 Ultra. Its aluminum frame might not be as tough as titanium, but it keeps the weight in check at 226g–229g. It’s a bit thicker at 9.4mm, likely due to its 6000mAh battery.

Both devices are IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, so they can handle the occasional dunk without issue.

2. Display

In terms of display, both offer LTPO AMOLED panels with QHD+ resolution and adaptive 120Hz refresh rates. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra edges ahead in terms of brightness with a 3,200-nit peak compared to S25 Ultra’s 2,600 nits. That said, let’s not get too caught up in the numbers—both should be plenty bright for outdoor use.

One standout feature of the S25 Ultra is, of course, the S Pen—whether you actually use it or not. Samsung did remove its Bluetooth functionality this year, which is a bit of a downgrade, but it’s still handy for quick notes or doodling when boredom strikes. Plus, the S25 Ultra’s display gets an anti-reflective coating, making it even easier on the eyes.

3. Performance

The new flagships run on Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm), the latest and most powerful chip from Qualcomm. However, Samsung’s variant is clocked slightly higher, with its Oryon V2 Phoenix L cores hitting 4.47 GHz compared to 4.32 GHz on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

In real-world use though, the difference is unlikely to be noticeable. Both devices handle gaming, multitasking, and AI-driven features with ease.

On the software side, Samsung promises 7 years of Android updates with One UI 7, giving it a serious longevity advantage. Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 offers a slick experience but only comes with 4 years of major updates.

4. Cameras

Cameras are where these two flagships show stark differences.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra keeps its 200MP primary sensor, but Xiaomi has gone for a 1-inch type 50MP sensor with a wider f/1.6 aperture, which should capture more light.

For zoom capabilities, the S25 Ultra has:

  • 3x optical zoom (10MP sensor)
  • 5x periscope zoom (50MP sensor)

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra offers:

  • 3x optical zoom (50MP sensor)
  • 4.3x periscope zoom (200MP sensor)

Xiaomi’s Leica-tuned optics and larger periscope sensor should provide better detail and natural bokeh, while Samsung’s AI processing and Best Face feature cater to casual users.

On the selfie front, Samsung sticks with 12MP, while Xiaomi opts for 32MP, giving it an edge in resolution.

5. Battery and Charging

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra packs a 6000mAh battery, making it one of the largest in a flagship phone. But that’s for the Chinese variant; the global model is expected to get a slightly smaller 5,410mAh cell, which still beats the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 5,000mAh.

Xiaomi also crushes charging speeds with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging, compared to Samsung’s 45W wired and 15W wireless. This means the Xiaomi 15 Ultra can fully charge in under 40 minutes, while the S25 Ultra takes nearly an hour.

6. Extra Features

Alongside S-Pen, DeX mode is an add-on you get on every Samsung flagship that lets you use your phone like a desktop. If you’re into productivity tools, this could be very useful for you.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi offers two-way satellite communication, which lets you send messages even without cellular reception. That could be lifesaving in emergencies.

Both phones have Wi-Fi 7, eSIM support, and ultrasonic fingerprint scanners.

7. Price and Availability

The Galaxy S25 Ultra starts at ₹129,999 in India or $1,300 in the US. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is currently only available in China, with a global launch set for March 2. Still for reference, it starts at 6,499 yuan (around $893) in China.

8. Final Thoughts

  • If you want the best stylus experience, longer software support, and a refined AI-powered camera, the Galaxy S25 Ultra remains a solid pick.
  • If you prefer faster charging, more aggressive camera hardware, and a slightly lower price, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is compelling—if you can get it in your region.

Both phones are iterative upgrades rather than any major innovations. Unless you’re upgrading from a much older model, last year’s Xiaomi 14 Ultra or Galaxy S24 Ultra may still hold up well. But if you’re choosing between the two, it’s a matter of whether you value hardware advancements or Samsung’s ecosystem consistency more.
