Both chipsets have NPUs to handle AI tasks. The Snapdragon 782G has a Hexagon 770 NPU that can deliver up to 12 trillion operations per second (TOPs) related to AI tasks. This can result in better AI-based noise suppression, AI voice assistant, low-power AI audio processing, and more.

The Dimensity 7200, on the other hand, has the MediaTek APU 650. Although not much has been revealed about this NPU, the official website mentions it efficiently runs AI tasks and AI-fusion processing. The NPU can enhance visuals, improve power efficiency and deliver upgraded performance.

Snapdragon 782G vs Dimensity 7200: Multimedia

The Snapdragon chip has Qualcomm Spectra ISP, featuring 14-bit triple ISPs. This means the chip can capture simultaneously from three cameras, with swift processing up to 2 gigapixels per second. The chip supports up to 200MP photo capture (the same as Dimensity chipset) and up to 64MP photo capture (with MFNR, ZSL at 30 FPS).

Both chips can take 4K videos at 30 FPS, but the Snapdragon chip can also take up to 720p videos at 240 FPS. So, both chips have decent camera capabilities, but the one with a higher-quality lens will stand out.

Snapdragon 782G vs Dimensity 7200: Display

Both Snapdragon 782G and Dimensity 7200 chips max out at Full HD+ resolution with HDR10+ and up to 144Hz refresh rate support. The latter also supports AI SDR-to-HDR video playback that intelligently adds HDR visuals directly into streams.

Snapdragon 782G vs Dimensity 7200: Connectivity

Both chips have a 5G modem — Snapdragon X53 in the Snapdragon 782G and 3GPP Release-16 in the Dimensity 7200 — offering all the necessary connectivity features, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a navigation system.

While the two chips offer all necessary connectivity features, the Dimensity chip has a slight edge. It offers a newer Bluetooth v5.3 technology (vs Bluetooth v5.2 in Snapdragon 782G) and an improved Wi-Fi 6E (vs Wi-Fi 6 in Snapdragon 782G). So, you can expect better connectivity and download/upload speeds with Dimensity 7200-powered phones and tablets.

Snapdragon 782G vs Dimensity 7200: Which is Better?

While both Snapdragon 782G and Dimensity 7200 chips target the same user segment, picking one really depends on your needs. Honor 200 Pro vs Honor 100 Pro: An actual upgrade or annual refresh?

Honor has just announced the Honor 200 Pro in its home market of China. The high-end smartphone arrives as the direct successor to the Honor 100 Pro. But is it actually an upgrade over last year’s model? Or is it simply a minor refresh, let’s find out.

Honor 200 Pro vs Honor 100 Pro
Honor 100 Pro (L) vs Honor 200 Pro (R)

1. Honor 200 Pro vs Honor 100 Pro: Newer Flagship Chip & Bigger Battery

The Chinese brand’s next gen model gets an upgraded processor with the Honor 200 Pro. Honor launched the 100 Pro with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, but the 200 Pro model features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This processor is a slightly underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and was built for affordable flagship phones. For under 500 US Dollars, it falls in the “flagship killer” category.

Another aspect that saw a mild upgrade is the battery pack. A 5,000mAh cell powers this Honor 100 Pro, but the Honor 200 Pro gets a 5,200mAh battery pack. Although, both offer the same 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging along with 5W reverse wireless charging.

2. Hard to tell them apart

Honor 100 Pro launched with a large oval camera module on the rear with a curved lining at the back. The Honor 200 Pro basically features the exact same design with slight changes in the back panel and the camera module. Even on the front both devices are practically identical. Both models sport a 6.78-inch OLED display that offers HDR, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1 billion colors. Although, the Honor 200 Pro offers 4000 nits of peak brightness, over the 100 Pro’s 2600 nits peak brightness.

3. Improved Cameras?

The Honor 100 Pro arrived with a triple camera setup on the rear, which consisted of a 50-megapixel primary camera along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 32-megapixel telephoto shooter with 2.5x optical zoom. While the main and ultra-wide angle lens have the same resolution, the telephoto sensor has been upgraded to a 50-megapixel Sony IMX856 sensor.

This supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), 2.5x optical zoom, and up to 50x digital zoom. So you’re zoomed shots should offer more details in higher magnification. Both devices house a 50-megapixel dual selfie camera setup on the front.

4. Pricing & Colors

Honor’s newer model is priced quite similar to the previous gen 100 Pro. However, it didn’t completely avoid the generation price hike. The Honor 200 Pro starts from 3,499 Yuan (roughly 483 US Dollars), which is 100 Yuan higher than the 100 Pro’s 3,399 Yuan starting price (roughly 475 US Dollars).

The latter was announced in Glass Black, Moon Shadow White, Monet Purple, and Butterfly Blue color options, while the former comes in Sky Blue, Coral Pink, Moonlight White, and Velvet Black colors. All in all, it seems like a decent successor but doesn’t really bring any drastic changes or improvements. It offers a newer chip and improved cameras while retaining the core design philosophy. So the Honor 200 Pro is a proper next-gen smartphone.

In contrast, the Narzo N55 features a 64MP primary camera with a 2MP depth sensor, offering a higher megapixel count for capturing detailed photos. It also boasts an 8MP front-facing camera, similar to the Narzo N65.

4. Software

Narzo N65 runs on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 on top while the N55 runs on Realme UI 4.0 with Android 13 out of the box. The N55 is upgradable to the Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0. So in terms of software, both offer the same experience. Plus both phones feature the “mini capsule” feature.

5. Battery and Charging

Both phones pack a 5000mAh battery, offering excellent backup for everyday use. However, the Narzo N55 outshines the N65 in the charging department with its 33W fast charging. The N65 offers a slower 15W charging solution, which means waiting longer to get your phone back to full power.

6. Design and Other Features

In terms of design, both phones adopt a similar aesthetic with a plastic back and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Narzo N65 comes with a light-feather design, suggesting a lightweight and ergonomic build. While the N55 comes with a prism design and a textured finish. Both phones are available in attractive color options, catering to different style preferences.

Both phones come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and essential connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The N65 5G boasts the advantage of having IP54 dust and water resistance, providing some protection against the elements. The N65 also features the rainwater smart touch feature.

7. Pricing

The Realme Narzo N65 offers two variants: 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB, priced at Rs. 11,499 and Rs. 12,499, respectively. However, with a special launch offer of Rs. 1000 off, these models are available for Rs. 10,499 and Rs. 11,499.

On the other hand, the Narzo N55, launched earlier, comes in two variants: 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB, priced at Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 12,999, respectively.

8. Conclusion

The Narzo N65 and Narzo N55 fall within the affordable price range, targeting budget-conscious consumers. The Narzo N65, with its powerful Dimensity 6300 SoC, 120Hz display, and 5G capabilities, caters to users seeking a future-ready device for performance and connectivity. The Narzo N55, with its FHD+ display, higher resolution camera, and faster charging, appeals to those prioritizing multimedia consumption and photography. Ultimately, the choice boils down to individual priorities, but if you ask me personally, the N65 seems to be the clear winner here.

Vivo X100

Competing against the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the Dimensity 9400 will feature ARM’s flagship Cortex-X5 core. Although the chip hasn’t yet appeared on benchmarking platforms, the Dimensity 9400 is said to have better IPC performance than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Additionally, the tipster mentioned that there won’t be an S-series in the X200 phones, meaning there won’t be successors to the X100s and X100s Pro.

The tipster didn’t delve into other parameters of the phone, but a leak earlier this week revealed that Vivo X200 phones will be released in October. The Oppo Find X8, also rumored to use the Dimensity 9400, is expected to launch in the same month. Xiaomi will be their competitor that same month with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered Xiaomi 15.

The Xiaomi 15 is expected to be the first to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, but several other brands are also vying for this distinction. One of these is iQOO, which is rumored to feature the 8 Gen 4 in its upcoming iQOO 13 smartphone.

Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared on Weibo that the iQOO 13’s engineering sample is currently being tested with a flat OLED 8T LTPO display with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels or 1.5K.

Another tipster Smart Pikachu previously revealed that the iQOO 13 will feature a 6000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Its predecessor, iQOO 12 has a 5000mAh cell so that’s a good increase in battery capacity.
