Nubia has announced a new internal testing initiative called the “Nubia Shrimp Farmer Program,” aimed at recruiting beta testers for OpenClaw AI integration on the Nubia Z80 Ultra. Selected users will be able to test the system before the public rollout, helping Nubia refine the AI experience through real-world usage.

According to the company, the Nubia Z80 Ultra will be the world’s first smartphone to natively integrate OpenClaw. Unlike most smartphones, where AI runs as a separate app or cloud service, Nubia is embedding OpenClaw directly into the phone’s operating system. This allows the AI to interact with apps, settings, and system functions more naturally.

AI Edited Image

Ni Fei, President of the ZTE Terminal Business Unit and President of Nubia Technology, described the device as a “Gateway-type AI phone.” It supports ClawBot scenario-based applications and access to a broader Skills ecosystem, allowing the AI to automate tasks and work across multiple services. This also means AI features can run faster and handle tasks more directly within the operating system.

The Nubia Z80 Ultra, launched on October 22, features the Snapdragon 8 Ultra (5th generation) processor and a 50MP 35mm “Master Eye” main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and DCG dual conversion gain HDR technology. Nubia also offers an optional photography kit for enhanced camera capabilities. The phone starts at 4,999 yuan (around $730).

Why This Matters for Users

OpenClaw could make Nubia phones feel more intelligent and proactive. Because the AI is built into the system, it can automate tasks, manage apps, and respond faster than typical AI assistants. For users, this could translate into smoother voice commands, smarter automation, and deeper AI integration across everyday phone activities rather than relying on separate AI apps.

What is OpenClaw AI?

OpenClaw is an open-source AI agent designed to do more than just answer questions. It can connect with apps, files, and online services to automate real tasks such as browsing the web, managing messages, scheduling actions, or completing multi-step workflows. In simple terms, it turns AI from a basic chatbot into a task-executing digital assistant that can actively perform actions across different apps and services.

AnTuTu’s Android performance rankings for February 2026 are out, and there’s a new device at the top.

The iQOO 15 Ultra has claimed the number one spot on the flagship list, ending the recent streak of the Red Magic 11 Pro+. With an average score of 4.2 million points, the iQOO phone now sets the pace for Android performance this month.

iQOO 15 Ultra

The Red Magic 11 Pro+, which had held onto first place in previous rankings, slips to second with an average of 4.16 million. Irrespective of numbers, both phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

In third place is the Vivo X300 Pro Satellite Communication Edition, powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset. It posts an average score of 4.08 million. Not to mention, it’s also the only MediaTek-powered phone on the list.

It’s all Snapdragon moving forward

From the Realme GT 8 Pro at fourth to the Redmi K90 Pro Max at tenth spot, all use a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip at the helm.

So it’s unsurprising to say that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 has become the mainstream choice for high-end Android devices. Multiple phones powered by the chip are now comfortably crossing the 4 million mark in AnTuTu’s scoring system.

It’s also worth noting how AnTuTu calculates these rankings. The published score reflects the average of all benchmark results recorded for each model during the month, not the single highest score a device may achieve.

That means the numbers can differ from marketing claims or isolated screenshots circulating online. In theory, the average score should provide a more realistic reference point for day-to-day performance.

ZTE is heading back to Barcelona with another gaming phone.

The company announced today that it will hold a new product launch event for its new phones at Mobile World Congress 2026, taking place from March 2nd to 5th in Spain. The highlight of the event will be the global debut of the Nubia Neo 5 GT.

According to the official teaser poster, the Nubia Neo 5 GT will feature a built-in cooling fan. Active cooling isn’t new to gaming phones, but it’s still rare outside this niche. A built-in fan suggests ZTE is aiming for sustained gaming performance.

Beyond that, ZTE hasn’t shared much. However, thanks to a leak, we already have the device’s design and full specs.

Nubia Neo 5 GT Specifications

As you can see, the Nubia Neo 5 GT features camera cutouts with an octagonal design, and a light accent on the right side adds to the aggressive look.

Up front, the phone is expected to feature a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports up to 1200 nits of brightness and covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Powering the device is the UNISOC T9100 chipset, built on a 6nm TSMC process. It uses a mix of Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores, topped by a prime core clocked at 2.7GHz. The phone also has a large vapor chamber (4083mm²) for cooling.

The phone comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, though exact configurations haven’t been confirmed. It powers everything via a 6,000mAh battery, with support for 80W fast charging, and also includes bypass charging.

In terms of optics, the phone could feature a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, supported by Nubia’s NEOVISION imaging system.

Other features include dual stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra support, a Z-axis linear motor for stronger vibration feedback, hardware gyroscope support, and shoulder trigger buttons labeled R1 and L1.

The Nubia Neo 5 GT will be available in Black, Yellow, and White.

Red Magic has just unveiled a limited edition model of its latest flagship, the Red Magic 11 Pro+. Collaborating with Kuro Games, the brand has launched the Red Magic 11 Pro+ Wuthering Waves Edition, which brings a new eye-catching Energy Red theme inspired design.

Red Magic 11 Pro+ Wuthering Waves Edition Launch

The Chinese brand’s latest device offers the same high end specs and features as the regular Red Magic 11 Pro+. However, the big difference is that the limited edition variant dresses the flagship features an Energy Red theme, which brings a dark red finish on the rear. So this model stands out with unique looks and bundled extras for fans and collectors alike.

The Wuthering Waves Edition swaps in a bold Energy Red visual theme across several elements of the Red Magic 11 Pro+, giving the device a striking new personality. This includes various aspects like:

  • A crimson-accented liquid-cooling engine motif on the hardware
  • Red-accented gaming trigger buttons for that extra pop during play
  • Custom RGB lighting effects that match the theme’s mood
  • A matte metal frame that pairs well with the vibrant colours

The iQOO 15 Ultra and Red Magic 11 Pro represent the latest wave of gaming-focused Android flagships built on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform. Both phones aim to deliver uncompromising gaming performance, high refresh rate displays, efficient cooling systems, and large batteries. Despite sharing similar core hardware, their implementation and focus differ. Here’s how they compare across key areas.

iQOO 15 Ultra

Gaming Performance

The iQOO 15 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and pairs it with iQOO’s in-house Q3 esports chip. The Q3 chip enables full-scene ray tracing, native 2K super-resolution, and 120fps frame interpolation to run simultaneously. The company claims an average of 119.2fps during one hour of high-load gaming with a peak temperature of 44.7°C. The phone scores over 4.51 million points on AnTuTu, placing it at the top of the Android performance charts.

Red Magic 11 Pro also uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and integrates the RedCore R4 chip. It focuses on graphics enhancement and real-time upscaling to 2K resolution with support for 144Hz in select games. The phone scored 4.35 million on AnTuTu and includes a PC emulator in the China variant, targeting users who want console-style flexibility on a smartphone.

Honestly, both phones share nearly identical specs, but the 15 Ultra holds a slight advantage over the 11 Pro.

Display and Visual Quality

iQOO equips the 15 Ultra with a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO OLED flat panel using Samsung’s M14 material. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and reaches a local peak brightness of 8000 nits. It also includes hardware-level eye protection and DC dimming at full brightness.

Red Magic 11 Pro uses a 6.85-inch 1.5K BOE X10 OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 2000 nits peak brightness. It features 2592Hz PWM dimming and a 960Hz touch sampling rate.

iQOO 15 Ultra is a clear winner here.

Controls and Haptics

The iQOO 15 Ultra features pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers, a 4000Hz instant touch sampling rate, and a zoned touch system that adapts to different game interfaces. The gyroscope operates at 500Hz and uses a self-developed algorithm to improve motion input accuracy.

Red Magic 11 Pro has 520Hz shoulder triggers, a 3000Hz touch sampling chip from Synaptics, and software-level controls that adjust input latency across different games. Both phones also support 4D vibration.

This round is more of a tie since both phones deliver nearly identical specs.

Thermal Performance

The iQOO 15 Ultra introduces the Ice Dome Cooling System, which includes a 17x17mm fan with 59 blades, a vapor chamber with 8000mm² coverage, and layered graphite for efficient heat dissipation. It carries TÜV Rheinland’s high-reliability thermal certification and supports IP68 and IP69 ratings.

Red Magic counters with a hybrid liquid and air cooling system that uses fluorinated coolant and an upgraded Turbo Fan 4.0 that spins at 24,000 rpm. The system includes a visible cooling loop and integrates Liquid Metal 3.0 and a 4D vapor chamber for improved cooling efficiency.

Red Magic stands out for its aggressive and unique approach, while iQOO combines industrial-grade cooling with water resistance and practical durability.

Battery and Charging

iQOO fits a 7400mAh single-cell battery into the 15 Ultra. It supports 100W wired and 40W wireless charging, along with global direct-drive power that keeps performance stable while charging.

Red Magic offers an 8000mAh battery with 80W charging in the Pro and a 7500mAh unit with 120W wired and 80W wireless charging in the Pro+. Both phones support PPS and PD fast charging protocols.

Red Magic has the edge in overall battery capacity and faster wireless charging.

Camera Systems

The iQOO 15 Ultra features a triple 50MP setup on the back with a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 3x periscope lens with a 1/1.95-inch IMX882 sensor, and an ultra-wide shooter. Both the main and periscope modules support CIPA 4.5-grade OIS. On the front, there is a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Red Magic uses a dual rear system with a 50MP main sensor and a 120° ultra-wide camera. The front camera is an under-display 16MP unit.

iQOO completely flips the script here with its camera-focused experience, especially with Vivo’s imaging algorithm support, which isn’t as refined on Red Magic phones, despite their higher-megapixel optics.

Verdict

The iQOO 15 Ultra stands out as a performance powerhouse with a stronger display, dedicated esports chip, advanced gaming controls, and a premium camera system. It is more balanced across entertainment, gameplay, and day-to-day usability.

The Red Magic 11 Pro series focuses on raw gaming strength with larger batteries, experimental cooling hardware, and higher charging speeds. It appeals to users who want sustained playtime and a custom gaming OS with niche tools like a PC emulator.

Buy the iQOO 15 Ultra for polished flagship-grade gaming with everyday usability.

Choose the Red Magic 11 Pro if you want maximum power, battery life, and a more aggressive gamer-first experience.

As 2025 wraps up, AnTuTu‘s December performance rankings show which Android flagships are leading the pack right now. Qualcomm and MediaTek‘s latest flagship chips are everywhere, but only a handful of phones are truly pushing maximum performance. These rankings use average benchmark scores from December 1 to December 31, 2025, collected from global markets outside mainland China, all tested on AnTuTu Benchmark V10.

The Red Magic 11 Pro takes first place with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, scoring an average of 4,002,199. It also leads the AnTuTu flagship performance charts in mainland China, with a slightly better score of 4,118,828 points. Its gaming-focused design, active cooling, and aggressive tuning put it ahead of everything else. Second is the iQOO 15, also using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with an average score of 3,763,468. The Poco F8 Ultra comes in third at 3,755,870, keeping up Poco’s tradition of delivering flagship performance without the flagship price.

All three top devices run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, showing just how much Qualcomm controls the flagship performance space this generation. Phones like the Vivo X300 Pro and OPPO Find X9 Pro rank lower despite solid scores because they focus more on camera hardware and photo quality instead of maxing out benchmarks.

AnTuTu bases these rankings on average scores, not peak numbers, so they better reflect real-world sustained performance. Any device with fewer than 1,000 valid benchmark runs gets excluded. Scores can shift based on software version, temperature, and how the phone is being used.

December’s flagship rankings show a quiet month globally with few new releases. Performance leadership comes down to tuning and thermal management more than anything else.

The year 2025 marked a decisive turning point for mobile gaming. Rapid advances in silicon technology, led by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Apple’s A19 Pro, fundamentally changed what mainstream smartphones can deliver. Performance gains combined with improved efficiency and AI-assisted upscaling pushed flagship phones into territory once reserved for dedicated gaming hardware. As the industry looks ahead to 2026, the line between a gaming phone and a flagship phone has become increasingly difficult to define.

This convergence raises a pivotal question for 2026: Do niche gaming phones still have a place in the market?

Red Magic 11 Pro

Rise of the All-Rounder Gaming Flagship

Mainstream flagships have closed the performance gap that once separated them from gaming-focused devices. Phones such as the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15 sustain 120fps gameplay in demanding MOBA and battle royale titles without the frame drops or thermal throttling that plagued earlier generations. These gains are not limited to peak benchmarks but extend to long, uninterrupted gaming sessions.

The iPhone 17 Pro / Pro Max reflects the same shift. Hardware-level cooling upgrades, including a proper vapor chamber system, allow the A19 Pro to maintain high performance for longer periods. These changes address historical limitations such as heat buildup and brightness reduction during extended gameplay.

Flagship phones also offer a level of balance that gaming phones often lack. Camera systems remain a priority, software experiences feel refined for daily use, and long-term update support adds real value. For users who keep their phones for several years, a device that performs well across every scenario makes more sense than one optimized for a single task.

Why Dedicated Gaming Phones Still Exist

Dedicated gaming phones have not vanished, but their relevance has narrowed. Devices like the Red Magic 11 Pro+ target a specific audience that prioritizes sustained peak performance over versatility. Active cooling systems with internal fans and advanced heat dissipation allow these phones to run at maximum output for hours without noticeable performance drops.

Gaming phones also integrate features that mainstream flagships rarely match. Physical shoulder triggers provide precise, low-latency input. Displays push refresh rates beyond 144Hz, paired with extremely high touch sampling rates. Dedicated gaming software enables deep system-level control over performance, thermals, network behavior, and notifications.

These advantages matter most in competitive environments where consistency and responsiveness outweigh everyday convenience.

Gaming Phones in 2026: Niche Over Necessity

For the majority of users, a modern flagship already delivers more gaming performance than required. Phones like the OnePlus 15, iQOO 15, and iPhone 17 Pro Max provide stable frame rates, controlled thermals, and a polished daily experience that extends well beyond gaming.

Dedicated gaming phones now serve a narrow group of esports players and enthusiasts who treat gaming as a primary use case. For everyone else, gaming has become a standard capability of premium smartphones rather than a defining category.

As silicon efficiency continues to improve and brands focus on sustained performance instead of short-lived benchmark peaks, the concept of the gaming phone is shifting. In 2026, gaming is no longer a niche feature. It is an expected part of the flagship experience.

Red Magic 11 Pro+

There are only a few brands that have a pure gaming pedigree, like Red Magic. So if you want a phone built from the ground up for performance and long gaming sessions, look no further than the Red Magic 11 Pro+. Unlike modern flagships that aim to offer a balanced experience, the Chinese brand goes all in on gaming.

But what truly sets it apart is the dual cooling system. Not only does it have an active cooling system with a physical RGB fan, but it also features a vapor chamber liquid cooling. You can even see this system in the words as the liquid moves around in the pipes on the back.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max

While Apple isn’t known to brand any of its devices as a gaming phone, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is a premium phone that delivers true flagship performance. Not only can you play some of the most intense mobile game titles, but Apple has also ported actual console-level games to its iOS platform.

It ships with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset that brings cutting-edge performance. Pair this with a tall 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display, and you get a smooth gameplay experience.

iQOO 15

One of its highlighting aspects is the massive 7,000mAh battery pack that promises long, uninterrupted gaming sessions. Honor GT Pro
Honor GT Pro

Just like the rest of Android flagships in this list, you get the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite and a huge 7,200mAh battery pack. Honor announced this model earlier in the year, so it arrived ahead of the current flagship generation. However, the brand marketed this as a dedicated gaming smartphone since it packed the Leading Edition variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite along with a three stage cooling system that includes a 3D vapor cooling chamber, thermal conductive adhesive, and AI powered temperature control system.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • ByteDance and ZTE are developing a second-generation Agentic AI, Doubao phone, for a planned late-2026 launch.
  • The first AI phone sold out quickly but was limited to around 30,000 units as an engineering test.
  • ByteDance aims to expand Doubao AI across third-party smartphones rather than build its own hardware long-term.
  • The company’s OS-level agentic AI ambitions position it as a potential challenger to Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi, and other major smartphone ecosystems.

Early Prototype Sold Out After Limited Release

ByteDance’s first AI-powered smartphone, built with ZTE and running the company’s Doubao agentic assistant, sold out rapidly in China. The device, ZTE Nubia M153, was marketed as an engineering prototype rather than a commercial product. According to industry sources, the initial batch consisted of roughly 30,000 units, designed mainly to test real-world performance. Despite the limited supply, consumer interest was strong, with resale prices rising more than 40% above retail.

Why ByteDance Released a Prototype Instead of a Full Product

The company intentionally treated the first phone as a market experiment. The goal was to evaluate Doubao’s system-level automation, including cross-app operations such as ticket booking, restaurant reservations, price comparison, and complex task coordination. The feedback from this early batch will inform the design and capabilities of future devices.

App Restrictions After Privacy and Control Concerns

Shortly after launch, the phone faced nationwide pushback from major Chinese apps. Several high-usage platforms blocked or limited the Doubao assistant, citing concerns over fairness, data access, and the device’s ability to control apps at an OS level. This reflected growing industry unease about agentic AI performing actions across apps without traditional API permissions, an issue that drew wide scrutiny in earlier reporting.

New Second-Gen AI Phone Targeted for Late 2026

ByteDance and ZTE are now jointly developing a second-generation smartphone, with a planned launch window in late 2026. This upcoming version is reportedly more mature in both hardware and AI integration. The shift to next-generation development has led to the halt of production for the current prototype.

ByteDance’s Long-Term Hardware Strategy

Despite entering the smartphone market with these early models, ByteDance says it does not plan to become a long-term phone manufacturer. Instead, it wants Doubao to operate as an OS-level AI layer that other smartphone makers can adopt. However, analysts at Morgan Stanley and IDC warn that partnering with major OEMs may be challenging, as brands like Apple, Huawei, and Xiaomi are expected to rely on their own AI systems.

Why ByteDance Is Entering the AI Phone Market

ByteDance, best known worldwide for TikTok and its Chinese counterpart Douyin, is not a traditional hardware company. Its push into AI phones is driven by the need to test and scale agentic AI directly at the operating-system level. Working with partners like ZTE allows ByteDance to control the device environment, sharpen Doubao’s automation features, and demonstrate its capabilities to potential OEM collaborators, all without any plan to become a permanent phone manufacturer.

Future Opportunities and Challenges

IDC predicts ByteDance may struggle to secure top-tier hardware partners by 2026, potentially limiting Doubao’s reach despite 159 million MAUs. Still, the company sees strong opportunities for app developers and enterprise vendors, particularly in e-commerce, travel, payments, and food delivery sectors that can benefit from Doubao’s cross-app orchestration.

On the other hand, ByteDance’s Volcano Engine, already handling nearly half of China’s public-cloud LLM API calls, positions the company well for broader AI ecosystem expansion.

AnTuTu’s latest performance rankings for November 2025 just rolled in, and Red Magic appears to be dominating. The brand’s latest flagship leads the pack, followed closely behind by Oppo’s and Vivo’s new premium devices. The Red Magic 11 Pro+ is the chart leader in November, so let’s check it out.

AnTuTu November 2025 Rankings: Which phones dominate?

AnTuTu just dropped the updated benchmark list at the start of this month. Similar to last month’s rankings, the Red Magic 11 Pro+ still holds the throne in terms of overall performance. This next gen gaming phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. What helps the chip managed to achieve such a high scored is its unique cooling system that employs both water and air.

ZTE nubia Red Magic 11 Pro Plus
Red Magic 11 Pro+

The system uses a cooling system with vapor chamber, copper foil, graphene, liquid metal, and even an physical fan. Following this device is the Oppo Find X9 Pro in second place and the Vivo X300 Pro, which places third. Interestingly, both of these premium phones are equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC. This is basically the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5’s direct successor in the premium Android smartphone segment.

The Red Magic 11 Pro+ got a score of 4,104,121 points on AnTuTu, while the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro achieve a score of 4,006,704 and 4,004,589 points, respectively. So, both chips are neck-in-neck and it’s hard to tell which processor is objectively better. Rounding off the top 5 on this list, we have the iQOO 15 and Honor Magic 8 Pro that also feature Qualcomm’s flagship chipset.

Nubia looks set to expand its foldable lineup in a big way. A new leak from Evan Blass has revealed two upcoming devices — the company’s first book-style foldable and the next entry in its clamshell series.

Until now, Nubia has only released flip-style foldables, with two generations already out. The newly leaked Nubia Fold changes that. The images show a full-size book-style model that puts Nubia directly up against Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and other big names in the category.

The inner display shows off uniform bezels. Flip it over, and things get eye-catching: a massive camera island taking up nearly a third of the back, with three circular lens cutouts, a ring light, a pill-shaped flash, and some branding off to the right. The whole module sticks out quite a bit too, giving the phone a noticeably chunky camera setup for a first-gen book-style foldable.

That said, one of those “lens” cutouts might be purely cosmetic — there is a common practice of adding decorative openings, as seen on the RedMagic 11 Pro+.

The tipster also shared some schematics of the book-style foldable that reveal a centered punch-hole selfie camera on the outer display, a top-right punch-hole selfie camera on the inner display, along with the placements for the speakers, microphones, SIM tray, and USB-C port.

The second device, the Nubia Flip 3, continues the company’s habit of redesigning its flip phone every generation. The first model had a circular cover display; the Flip 2 switched to a tall rectangular one; and now the Flip 3 render shows a full-width outer screen that wraps around the dual cameras. It looks somewhat similar to the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 – just one of the cutouts is much smaller than the other on Nubia’s design.

One interesting detail is the dual-LED flash, which sits on the lower half of the back instead of next to the camera module. Honor made a similar choice on the Magic V Flip 2, and while the placement will look odd and somewhat less practical to some, it does clear up space for the larger cover display.

There’s still no word on specs or pricing, and the launch timeline is wide open. Nubia could announce these devices before the end of 2025, or hold them for early 2026. To recall, the first- and second-gen flip models launched in February 2024 and January 2025, respectively. Either way, the leak makes it clear the brand is gearing up to push into both major foldable categories at once.

As per the TENAA listing, the alleged Red Magic 11 Air features a 6.85-inch OLED screen that offers a resolution of 1216 x 2688 pixels. It has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, which could be integrated beneath the display.

The Red Magic 11 Air’s rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. There seems to be a downgrade in the camera department, as the previous generation, the Red Magic 10 Air, featured dual 50-megapixel cameras on the back. It is expected to ship with Red Magic OS-based Android 16.

The Red Magic 11 Air is powered by an unknown 4.2GHz chip. Its topmost variant may offer a 24GB+1TB configuration, whereas its base model could arrive with a 12GB+256GB configuration. It has a rated battery of 6780mAh capacity, indicating a typical capacity of about 7,000mAh.

At present, there is no information about the Red Magic 11 Air’s fast charging capabilities. Lastly, the device measures 163.82 x 76.54 x 7.85mm and weighs around 207 grams.

Red Magic 11 Air launch timeframe (expected)

To recall, the Red Magic 10 Air debuted in April 2025 in China. Now that the alleged Red Magic 11 Air has already been TENAA certified, it appears that it may launch as early as December or in the first quarter of 2026 in China.

A new budget smartphone from Oppo has made its way to China’s MIIT certification. The device, listed under the model number PLT120, has also received wireless approval under certificate number 2025-21820, which is usually a strong sign that a launch isn’t far away.

That said, we’re not yet sure what the PLT120 corresponds to in terms of its marketing name. For now, let’s go through the details.

Oppo PLT120 Specs via MIIT

The PLT120 features a 6.75-inch display with an HD+ resolution of 1570×720. It’s almost certainly an LCD panel. The dimensions are on the larger side, measuring 166.6 × 78.5 × 8.61 mm, with a weight of 216 grams.

The heft could be the result of a large battery. The PLT120 packs a 6,830 mAh rated-capacity cell, which Oppo is likely to market as 7,000 mAh.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor. MIIT listings don’t reveal exact chip names, but this configuration suggests a mid-tier, 5G-capable SoC. Oppo also seems to be offering generous memory options, with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 512GB of storage.

Connectivity support includes all the usual radios: Dual SIM, 5G (NSA/SA), LTE bands, WCDMA, GSM, Bluetooth, and USB.

On the camera front, the PLT120 keeps things simple. There’s a 50MP primary camera on the back paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. Up front, users get an 8MP selfie camera.

The phone also supports fingerprint unlocking, face unlock, and basic sensors like gravity, proximity, and ambient light. It runs Android–though the certification doesn’t mention the version–likely ColorOS based on Android 15.

It’s finally official. After months of teasers and leaks, Qualcomm today confirms when it will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

In a Weibo post, the company announced that the new chip will be revealed in China on November 26. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is expected to slot just below the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in Qualcomm’s lineup, offering a high-end option without quite reaching flagship levels.

At its September event, Qualcomm confirmed that the 8 Gen 5 is built on a 3nm process and features its custom Oryon CPU cores. The prime core clocks in at 3.8GHz, while the performance cores hit 3.32GHz.

Previous leaks have also shed light on the GPU. The 8 Gen 5 will use the Adreno 840, which is based on the same IP as the Elite’s GPU but with slightly lower performance, running at 1.2GHz.

In the benchmarks, the chip reportedly scores over 3.3 million points on AnTuTu, around 3,000 single-core and 10,000 multi-core on Geekbench 6. It can also score around 100 frames per second on the Aztec 1440p benchmark.

All in all, the 8 Gen 5 will have CPU performance on par with the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite. The GPU performance is marginally lower, though you can still expect a flagship experience.

Phones coming with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

The first phone to feature the new chip will be the OnePlus Ace 6T, launching this November. Shortly after, Vivo confirmed that the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will also use the 8 Gen 5 when it arrives in December.

Last but not least, Honor is also expected to launch the GT 2 smartphone with 8 Gen 5. The device is likely to launch in December or January.

The Red Magic 11 Pro continues Nubia’s legacy of building some of the most distinctive gaming smartphones in the world, and this year’s model takes things even further. Red Magic smartphones are known for their top tier specs, bold aesthetics, and much more, to offer some of the best gaming experiences on smartphones. While the older models already impressed with their active cooling systems, which included a tiny fan, the latest flagship gaming phone takes things a step further, so here’s a deep dive into everything that makes the Red Magic 11 Pro stand out from the crowd.

Red Magic 11 Pro and its Unapologetic Gaming-Themed Design

The Red Magic 11 Pro continues the brand’s signature transparent and gamer-centric design language. It features angular lines and an industrial look paired with a transparent panel on the back. This adds a futuristic aesthetic that showcases parts of the internal hardware. While a transparent panel aren’t unique by itself, we get a glimpse of the unique cooling system under the hood.

Red Magic 11 Pro

Unlike its predecessor, which only featured a cooling fan, the Red Magic 11 Pro pairs this with a liquid cooling system, and you can see this system in operation at any given moment. There is also the small fan that features the custom RGB lighting system. To improve the gameplay experience, the Chinese brand also includes 520Hz shoulder triggers for a controller-like experience.

Liquid Cooling: A First for Mobile Gaming

Liquid cooling is a term often associated with PC gaming enthusiasts and their high-end gaming rigs and not for smartphones. We have already seen vapor chamber cooling systems in the past, but the Red Magic 11 Pro packs a more sophisticated thermal system. Cooling has been the biggest selling point of Red Magic phones, and thanks to the dual liquid and air cooling system, the Red Magic 11 Pro is capable of sustaining peak performance during extended gaming sessions.

Red Magic 11 Pro Teardown Reveals the Liquid Cooling Mechanism

The internal cooling setup includes a larger vapor chamber, extended copper heat pipes, aerospace-grade graphite sheets, and a redesigned air duct that boosts airflow efficiency. The highlight is the new liquid-cooling loop, which uses a more efficient coolant and enhanced thermal pathways to keep the CPU and GPU significantly cooler during intense workloads. This ensures better sustained frame rates and reduces thermal throttling, which is essential for demanding titles like Genshin Impact, Call of Duty Mobile, and Warzone Mobile.

Real-World Gaming Experience Benefits

All of this advanced cooling directly impacts real-world performance. Red Magic built its latest flagship with a built-in PC emulator. So to experience the desktop level games, the dual cooling system helps keep Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 running cooler. Efficient thermals translate to superior sustained performance. Meaning, the frames are stable at 60fps, 120fps, or higher. All in all, the Red Magic 11 Pro delivers one of the most stable and enjoyable mobile gaming experiences in the market.

Conclusion

The Red Magic 11 Pro sets itself apart with a bold, futuristic design and one of the most advanced cooling systems ever fitted into a smartphone. From its transparent aesthetic to its upgraded liquid-cooling loop and refined ergonomics, every element of this device caters to gamers who demand performance without compromise.

Nubia has quietly launched a new smartphone called the V80 Design in several Asian markets, including the Philippines and Malaysia. The phone was introduced alongside the Nubia Air in these regions.

The V80 Design is a budget smartphone that borrows the rear camera layout from recent iPhones. The camera bar stretches across the entire width of the device, and, interestingly, Nubia has also placed the flashlight on the right edge, just like on the iPhone 17 Pro models.

Nubia V80 Design Overview

On the front, the device features a 6.75-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It also houses a 16MP selfie camera.

At the back, you get a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Yes, the third cutout is purely decorative.

Powering the device is a Unisoc T7280 chipset with a 2x Cortex-A75 (2.2GHz) and 6x Cortex-A55 (1.8GHz) CPU configuration, paired with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

On the software side, it runs MyOS 16 based on Android 16. Keeping everything running is a 5000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. For biometrics, the phone uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and includes a single loudspeaker for audio.

Interestingly, the V80 Design retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and features dual microphones for voice input. Charging is handled via a USB Type-C port.

Nubia is also offering its Linkfree technology on the V80 Design, a Bluetooth-based communication feature that enables text messaging and voice calls within a certain range. However, this functionality likely requires another device with Linkfree support.

Pricing and Availability

The Nubia V80 Design comes in Midnight Black, Pale Amber, Celadon Cyan, and Peach Fuzz color options. The body is rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance.

In Malaysia, the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at MYR 570 (around $140). In the Philippines, the base 4GB + 256GB model costs PHP 5,800 (about $100), while the 8GB + 256GB version costs PHP 6,500 (about $110).

As a side note, the device closely resembles the recently leaked ZTE Blade V80 Vita, suggesting that ZTE might rebrand and launch it under a different name in other markets.

ZTE’s next budget phone might look strangely familiar. Newly leaked renders of the Blade V80 Vita suggest the company has taken some clear inspiration from Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro models.

The render comes from Evan Blass (@evleaks), and the resemblance is hard to miss. The Blade V80 Vita uses a full-width camera island with three cameras and an LED flash pushed to the far-right side, almost exactly where Apple is placing the component on the 17 Pro Max. Since this is already plenty of camera hardware for a budget phone, a circular Neo branding occupies the spot where the LiDAR scanner sits on the latest Pro iPhones.

The frame sticks to a familiar flat-edged look, but ZTE adds its own touches: a red power button, a dedicated custom key on the left, and that very un-Apple 3.5 mm port next to the USB-C slot. It’s a mix of trendy and practical — something you don’t see often, even in the affordable Android space.

iPhone 17 Pro (left), ZTE Blade V80 Vita (right)

Of course, the edges are completely flat — unlike the slightly rounded sides on the iPhones — but that’s possible thanks to the aluminum unibody design of Apple’s flagships.

Specs haven’t surfaced yet, but the Blade line has always aimed at the budget crowd. The Blade V70 Design shipped with modest hardware, so it’s safe to expect the V80 Vita to follow suit: an entry-level chipset, a reasonable battery, and pricing that keeps expectations in check. This isn’t a flagship; it’s a style play.

Still, it’s interesting to see which design cues are trickling down into affordable phones. The iPhone 17 Pro’s wide camera bar is shaping up to be one of the more recognizable silhouettes of 2025, and ZTE seems eager to get ahead of the trend.

If nothing else, the Blade V80 Vita offers premium looks without the premium price — plus a convenience Apple no longer offers.

Nubia recently unveiled the Nubia Z80 Ultra and the Red Magic 11 Pro series powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It appears that the brand is now gearing up to launch one more flagship phone before the end of this year. The said device, which bears the model number P0110, has appeared in the database of Geekbench and Chinese certification platforms such as 3C and CMIT.

Nubia P0110 Geekbench, 3C listings emerge

Nubia P0110 Geekbench listing

As seen above, the Geekbench listing reveals that the Nubia P0110 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Although the chip’s name isn’t mentioned explicitly, the CPU and GPU details available on the listing are enough to confirm that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The device, whose final moniker is still under wraps, has 16GB of RAM and runs on Android 16. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the device scored 2,673 and 7,596 points, respectively.

Nubia P0110 3C listing

The 3C certification of the device revealed that it may ship with a 94.5W charger. It has also passed China’s MIIT certification, but the listing has not revealed anything significant. According to a tech blogger, the Nubia P0110 is a gaming phone but not part of the Red Magic series. It is designed to rival the recently released Snapdragon 8 Elite phones such as the Redmi K90, iQOO Neo 11, OnePlus Ace 6, and Realme GT 8.

Back in October, Zhang Lei, Vice President of ZTE and General Manager of Nubia’s flagship products, claimed that the OnePlus 15’s anti-glare glass finish and scratch-resistant coating would particularly appeal to users who prefer using their phones without cases. In the same post, he mentioned that the company’s upcoming product, scheduled for launch in December and referred to as a “national gaming phone,” will also feature the same rear panel technology. The device will come with a scratch-resistant surface that can be easily cleaned with a single wipe, along with a design specifically optimised for gaming.

However, Zhang emphasized that the rear panel design is just the tip of the iceberg. The real focus lies in refining the gaming experience through software and hardware optimization. He hinted that this new device will offer a premium feel and powerful gaming performance at a more affordable cost.

The RedMagic 11 Pro only just went global, but we’re already getting a good look at what’s going on under the hood. A new teardown has surfaced that gives a surprisingly detailed peek at one of the phone’s headline features.

Zack from JerryRigEverything managed to get his hands on a unit and, as usual, put it through his durability routine. The standout feature of this phone is its liquid cooling loop, which the brand has been promoting as a world first in a mass-produced smartphone.

If you couldn’t catch the video, here’s how the liquid cooling works: the loop is made of flexible material, and a piezoelectric micropump sits on top of it and vibrates. Inside the loop, there is a one-way check valve that allows the liquid to flow only in one direction. This loop touches a metal part near the main processor and carries the heat away from it, then dissipates it through a larger area on the back panel.

But this is not even the only active cooling solution RedMagic packed into this phone: there is a fan that reaches 24,000 RPM. The air passes through an isolated duct, maintaining IPX8 water resistance. And of course, the brand didn’t forget to add conventional cooling measures: this phone reportedly includes the industry’s largest VC heatsink. All to make the most of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

As for the durability, the results were pretty predictable. The display started scratching at level 6 on the Mohs scale, with deeper marks at level 7 — basically standard for modern smartphone glass. But the bend test result was impressive. The phone didn’t flinch. No bends, no cracks, nothing, no matter which direction it was pushed from. Considering there’s a full liquid cooling setup inside, that’s actually pretty impressive.

Oppo entered the gaming phone market by announcing the Oppo K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro in July in China. Later, both phones were also made available in India. Now, the brand is said to be working on the K15 Turbo series for China. A fresh leak released by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key details about the K15 and K15 Turbo Pro.

Oppo K15 Turbo series details leaked

Oppo K15 Turbo series leak by DCS

According to DCS, Oppo is currently testing next-generation K-series phones with Snapdragon 8-series chipsets. While the previous generation offered a 6.8-inch screen on the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro, the new leak suggests that their successors will have different screen sizes.

The leak suggests that the Oppo K15 Turbo will have a smaller 6.59-inch display and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. On the other hand, the K15 Turbo Pro will feature a larger 6.78-inch LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution. This device will feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip.

While the Oppo K15 Turbo aims to balance performance and size, targeting users who prefer a more compact design, the larger model is said to come with a bigger battery and focus on high performance with a large display. The other details of the series, including its launch timeframe, are currently under wraps.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 details, upcoming phones

According to reports, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, built on TSMC’s N3P process with Oryon CPU architecture, will feature 2x 3.8GHz and 6x 3.32GHz cores alongside an Adreno 840 GPU running at around 1.2GHz. It scores about 3.3 million on AnTuTu and 3000/10,000 on Geekbench 6, with roughly 100 fps in the Aztec 1440p test. Performance matches the 8 Elite in CPU but slightly trails in GPU power, offering improved efficiency and stability.

The OnePlus Ace 6 Pro Max will be the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. It is also expected to power the Vivo S50 Pro Mini (Vivo X300 FE for the global market) and Moto X70 Ultra.

RedMagic’s newest gaming flagship is finally stepping out of China. The RedMagic 11 Pro is now confirmed for a full international launch, complete with global pricing, hardware tweaks, and early-bird preorder details.

Globally, the RedMagic 11 Pro arrives as the brand’s more powerful offering above the RedMagic 10 Air. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with the company’s in-house Red Core R4 chip. For those unfamiliar, this secondary Red Core handles graphics upscaling and frame interpolation in supported games.

RedMagic has made a few regional tweaks, though. The global model features a 7,500 mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 8,000 mAh pack in the Chinese version, paired with 80 W wired charging instead of 120 W. Fortunately, 80 W wireless charging remains intact.

The display consists of a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel with a 2,688 × 1,216 resolution, which supports a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1,800-nit peak brightness. And in true RedMagic fashion, the front camera sits under the display — no punch-hole, no notch, just a full uninterrupted panel. For selfies and video calling, it includes a 16 MP under-panel camera. On the back, it houses a dual 50 MP setup (main + ultrawide).

The global RedMagic 11 Pro still features the company’s new active cooling system, combining liquid cooling, a vapor chamber, and a fan spinning up to 24,000 RPM — all while keeping IPX8 water resistance. That combination remains one of RedMagic’s biggest selling points for sustained gaming performance.

Availability and Pricing:

The RedMagic 11 Pro will officially retail from November 19, with Early Bird vouchers available starting November 13 for buyers who want to secure units early. Global pricing is as follows:

12GB + 256GB: $749 or €699

16GB + 512GB: $849 or €799

24GB + 1TB: $999 or €999

Starting at $749 in the US and €699 in Europe, RedMagic is positioning the 11 Pro as a performance-first alternative to mainstream flagships — and for gamers, it may be one of the best deals of 2025.

AnTuTu has released its latest performance ranking for Android flagships, and this month’s chart is all about the start of a new generation of smartphone chips.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 are now showing up in real phones, and we’re already seeing how they stack up.

REDMAGIC 11 Pro and 11 Pro+

Leading the list is the Red Magic 11 Pro+. It’s an 8 Elite Gen 5 powered gaming phone that scored above 4 million (4,132,403) points on AnTuTu. Red Magic devices have always leaned heavily into the “gaming phone” identity, but this model goes a step further in cooling tech.

To squeeze more sustained performance out of the chip, the phone uses a combination of active air cooling and liquid cooling. It’s an ambitious setup for maintaining performance stability, and the results are evident in the benchmark test.

Qualcomm rules the top five

What’s amazing is that the rest of the top five is also packed with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phones. We have the new OnePlus 15, iQOO 15, Honor Magic8, and Honor Magic8 Pro in sequential order. While these flagships don’t go as extreme on cooling hardware as Red Magic, the ranking shows Qualcomm’s latest chips are coming in strong.

The Dimensity 9500-powered Vivo X300 Pro (Satellite Edition), OPPO Find X9, and Vivo X300 rank sixth, eighth, and tenth. It’s a bit surprising that MediaTek-powered phones did not make it to the top, but if you look at it, the benchmark numbers aren’t that far off.

It’s also worth noting how AnTuTu calculates its rankings. Instead of reporting one best benchmark attempt, the score is the average score for that model across the month. So don’t be surprised if the numbers differ from flashy manufacturer demos.

Qualcomm recently unveiled its flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which powers several newly launched premium smartphones. Now, the company appears to be preparing for the arrival of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the next-generation processor in its high-end lineup. Ahead of its official debut, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shared a detailed preview of the chip’s technical specifications and benchmark results.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 key specifications leaked

According to the leak, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is built on TSMC’s advanced N3P process and features Qualcomm’s custom Oryon CPU architecture. The configuration includes two ultra cores clocked at 3.8GHz and six performance cores running at 3.32GHz, offering a strong balance of speed and efficiency.

For graphics, it features the Adreno 840 GPU, based on the same IP as the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s GPU but with slightly scaled-down performance and a 1.2GHz frequency.

In early benchmark tests, the chipset reportedly achieved over 3.3 million points on AnTuTu and scored around 3,000 (single-core) and 10,000 (multi-core) on Geekbench 6. On the Aztec 1440p benchmark, it managed close to 100 frames per second, highlighting impressive graphical power for high-end gaming.

Nubia isn’t waiting long to take its latest flagship worldwide. Fresh off its China debut, the Nubia Z80 Ultra is officially set for a global launch on November 6, bringing the same hardware, performance, and battery life that have already made it a standout at home.

The rollout follows the RedMagic 11 Pro’s global release on November 3, signaling an aggressive international push for ZTE’s sub-brand. General sales are expected to begin December 3, with pre-orders offering perks like a $30/€20/£20 discount, free charger, and protective case. Early sign-ups on Nubia’s site also enter a giveaway for the Z80 Ultra, Retro Kit, or Game Pad 2.

Unlike many Chinese flagships that lose battery capacity overseas, the global Z80 Ultra keeps the same large cell as the Chinese model. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Its 6.85-inch X10 OLED display supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 2,592Hz PWM dimming, while gaming performance benefits from the RedMagic 11 Pro’s software optimizations. Powering it all is a 7,200mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.

For photography, Nubia packs a custom 35mm “Light and Shadow Master 990” 1/1.3-inch main sensor, an 18mm ultrawide, and a 64MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical and 50x hybrid zoom. Check out some camera samples to get a better idea of what to expect.

With its combination of flagship performance, battery life, and camera prowess, the Z80 Ultra could be one of the most balanced yet unique looking flagship of the year.

As the smartphone photography race heats up, Nubia is bringing something fresh to the table with its upcoming Z80 Ultra, launching on October 22 in China. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered flagship isn’t just another spec-heavy device — it’s also getting a throwback-inspired accessory that turns it into a retro-style camera. This add-on photography kit includes swappable lenses and a tactile shooting experience, appealing to enthusiasts who crave vintage charm with modern performance.

Building on the Z70S Ultra’s accessory system, Nubia’s new “professional photography kit” keeps a familiar design but adds a few meaningful upgrades. It attaches to the phone using a quick-release grip, instantly transforming the Z80 Ultra into a compact camera. There’s a dedicated shutter button on the top plate with a satisfying mechanical click, along with extra dials and buttons that give users a hands-on shooting feel — something longtime photographers will appreciate.

The standout feature, though, is the set of interchangeable lenses and filters that fit over the Z80 Ultra’s primary camera. Nubia includes two lenses in the kit — one for sharper portraits and another that enhances macro or telephoto shots. There’s also an optional lens that mimics an ultrawide perspective. A bundled filter adds creative flexibility, and Nubia has hinted that more filters could arrive later. Together, these accessories are designed to complement the phone’s triple-camera setup (18mm ultra-wide, 35mm main, and 70mm telephoto), which already delivers detailed, high-contrast images.

The photography kit will debut alongside the Z80 Ultra on October 22, though the pricing hasn’t been disclosed yet. Given that the Z70S Ultra’s kit was reasonably priced, this one could follow a similar path. For anyone who misses the feel of classic cameras but still wants cutting-edge mobile tech, Nubia’s latest experiment might be worth keeping an eye on.

In the increasingly competitive world of smartphone photography, Nubia is preparing to throw down a wild card. With its launch just around the corner, Nubia’s teasers are promising “natural imaging” and bold hardware upgrades of the Z80 Ultra. But can it truly deliver professional-level results—or will it end up as another flashy experiment?

Nubia has already confirmed the triple-camera setup through its latest teasers. The configuration includes a 35mm main shooter (50MP OV990 sensor, 1/1.3-inch, f/1.7 aperture) paired with a 18mm ultra-wide (1/1.55-inch sensor, f/1.8 aperture), and a 70mm telephoto lens (f/2.4, OIS, up to 50x hybrid zoom via 12x digital crop)

The biggest leap is with the ultra-wide lens, which replaces the Z70S Ultra’s narrower 13mm f/2.0 camera. The larger sensor should capture more light and produce less distortion, aided by an upgraded lens correction algorithm.

The sample images suggest Nubia is prioritizing authenticity over heavy processing. The main 35mm camera shows realistic colors and natural contrast. Some previews, however, appear slightly soft in detail—likely due to compression in teaser posts. Nubia’s sub-brand Red Magic recently released camera samples of its upcoming 11 Pro+, which also tells a similar story.

The 18mm ultra-wide produces balanced tones and reliable white balance in daylight, though its perspective leans more “wide” than “ultra.” Samples from the telephoto camera show strong contrast and clean subject separation with minimal noise.

Telephoto sample with 2x digital crop

Set to debut on October 22 in China, the Z80 Ultra builds on the Z70S Ultra’s design language, retaining its sleek, curved edges and dedicated shutter button that evoke a retro camera feel. Design tweaks are subtle, mostly revolving around a reshaped camera module that keeps the look familiar but refined.

Under the hood, the phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, backed by a rumored 7,200mAh battery, which could give it an edge in endurance over rival flagships.

For creators who value an immersive display and camera realism over algorithmic gloss, the Z80 Ultra might just be the sleeper hit to watch this season.
