Lenovo has released a new pre-built desktop PC in China. The Bellator Feng 7000X is a mid-range system that offers a mix of Intel and AMD processors alongside Nvidia graphics cards. It is positioned as a straightforward, upgrade-friendly option for PC users looking for a standard 1080p or 1440p gaming setup.

Pricing and Availability

The system is available in three primary configurations. The base model pairs an Intel Core 5 205H with an Nvidia RTX 3050 for 5,499 yuan ($812). Stepping up to 6,999 yuan ($1,034) upgrades the GPU to an RTX 5060 Ti, which can be configured with either the Intel Core 5 205H or an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G. Across the board, Lenovo is equipping these desktops with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe solid-state drive.

Aesthetically, the Bellator Feng 7000X features a rigid, industrial design, but the internal construction is focused heavily on practicality. The motherboard tray, rear panel, and side panels are thickened to 1mm for extra structural integrity. Asus has announced a new all-in-one desktop, the ExpertCenter P200 (PM240FA). It is a 24-inch Windows PC built specifically for standard office use, such as reception desks, shared workspaces, or standard cubicles. It is not a high-end machine, but rather a practical option for companies that just need a screen and a computer combined into one compact unit to save desk space.

The screen is a 23.8-inch 1080p IPS panel with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a maximum brightness of 300 nits, which is typical and generally sufficient for indoor office lighting. The display has a TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light. Above the display is a 2-megapixel 1080p webcam with a physical privacy shutter.

Inside, the P200 uses AMD’s lower-power processors. The top configuration comes with a Ryzen 5 40 chip running at a 15W TDP, though buyers can also configure it with a Ryzen 3 30 or a baseline Athlon Silver 10 processor. For memory and storage, it supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

The port layout is split to help keep cables organized. On the side, there is a single USB-C 3.2 port and a headphone jack for devices you need to plug in temporarily. MSI’s newest gaming desktop, the MEG Vision X2 AI+, takes the current industry trend of adding AI to everything and makes it literal. Instead of just relying on software features or a dedicated keyboard button, MSI has built a secondary display directly into the front of the PC case to house a virtual assistant.

The company calls this cylindrical screen the AI Holostage. It serves as a physical home for LuckyClaw, an AI companion that runs locally on the machine. According to MSI, you can use natural voice or text commands to ask LuckyClaw to adjust your system’s performance profiles, change monitor settings, or swap out your RGB lighting colors.

If you aren’t interested in using MSI’s default mascot, the software also supports custom third-party avatars. It is basically a voice-activated settings menu with a face. MSI says the software will get updates over time to add more features.

If you look past the built-in screen, the MEG Vision X2 AI+ is simply a very high-end gaming PC. It can be configured with Intel’s Core Ultra processors and up to an Nvidia RTX 5090 graphics card. The system can reach up to 3400 TOPS of total AI performance.

To keep the hardware cool, the desktop includes a 360mm liquid cooler. The interior design relies on MSI’s Project Zero motherboard standard, which moves all the power connectors to the back of the board. This hides the cable clutter and keeps the inside of the case looking neat behind the glass panel.

The rest of the specifications include modern standards like PCIe 5.0 storage, DDR5 memory, Wi-Fi 7, 5G Ethernet, and Thunderbolt 5 support.

MSI has not announced a release date or pricing details yet.

Lenovo has added a new configuration to its Legion Blade 7000K desktop PC lineup, combining an Intel Core i7-13650HX processor with an Nvidia RTX 5060 graphics card. The system is currently available with a promotional launch price of 9,999 yuan ($1,478), and will eventually shift to a standard retail price of 10,499 yuan ($1,552).

The most interesting part of this build is the choice of processor. The Core i7-13650HX is actually a mobile chip designed for high-end laptops, though it is built on repurposed desktop silicon. Lenovo has opted to use it here inside a standard desktop tower. It features a 14-core, 20-thread configuration, which is split into six performance cores and eight efficiency cores.

The chip also includes a 24MB Smart Cache and reaches a peak turbo frequency of 4.90 GHz. It operates at a 55W base power but can draw up to 157W when pushed to its maximum turbo consumption. Lenovo paired this processor with Nvidia’s RTX 5060, a graphics card that handles standard 1080p and 1440p gaming, as well as basic video encoding and AI tasks.

For memory, the system comes with 24GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5600MHz. That is an unusual amount for a pre-built PC, since they usually ship with either 16GB or 32GB. It gives you a bit more room for multitasking than a standard 16GB setup without making the computer as expensive as a 32GB model. For storage, it includes a standard 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

The case design is functional and sticks to the established look of the Legion brand. The chassis comes in a Titanium Crystal Gray finish and relies on a mesh front panel for intake ventilation. Behind this mesh, Lenovo included a textured airflow shroud, which the company refers to as its Night Sky design, to help direct air over the internal components.

Lenovo is refreshing its pre-built desktop lineup in China. The company’s new Lecoo Bellator Blade 7000 models are scheduled to go on sale on May 13. They are straightforward mid-range gaming PCs that pair Intel’s new Core Ultra processors with Nvidia’s RTX 50-series graphics cards.

Inside, these desktops run on the Intel Core Ultra 5 230F. It is a 10-core, 10-thread processor sitting on an Intel H810 chipset motherboard. The company says this provides 40% better performance than similar desktops at the same price point. The cooling system uses copper heat pipes and a rear fan to pull air through the case, keeping noise at 28.7dB under heavy use.

Graphics options include integrated AMD Radeon 780M on Ryzen 7 models or Radeon 740M on Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 models. Discrete GPU options range up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB GDDR7, plus RTX 5050, RTX 3050, and RTX A400 variants. The system takes up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR5-5600 RAM through two SO-DIMM slots. Dell has expanded the Alienware Area-51 desktop lineup with new AMD Ryzen 9000 series processor options. The system was launched at CES 2025 with Intel Core Ultra 200 Arrow Lake processors, but AMD versions were not available at that time. The new models are now on sale.

Alienware Area-51 (AMD model) features

The Area-51 uses the X870E motherboard and can be configured with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D or the Ryzen 9 9950X3D. Both processors include AMD’s 3D V-cache technology, which improves access to game data and boosts performance in titles that depend on high cache sizes. Alienware says this update is a direct response to gamers who requested more high-end processor choices.

The overall design of the Area-51 stays the same, focusing on thermal control and stable high-power performance. The desktop uses a positive pressure cooling system with dual 140 mm fans, dual 180 mm fans, and up to three 120 mm intake fans. Cool air is pushed toward the CPU and GPU and warm air exits through a passive rear exhaust. This setup is designed to maintain steady temperatures during long gaming sessions.

With the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, the system supports up to 200W of dedicated CPU power. It also offers more than 600W of graphics power when paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090. Storage capacity increases as well, with support for up to 12TB through three 4TB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSDs.

Asus has just unveiled the ROG Iceblade X high-performance gaming rig for the Chinese market, featuring Intel’s 14th Gen CPUs and the RTX 4070 Super, which is arguably one of the best price-to-performance GPUs that have launched in a while.

While the PC features high-powered components, its biggest selling point is its size. The ROG Iceblade X is pretty compact, measuring just 11.5 X 32.3 X 28.69cm, with a volume of 10L, making it ideal for gamers who don’t have the space for a full or a mid-tower PC.

It has an all-metal build with a clean design that comes with two RGB strips in the front. white air vents are on the top and back. The front I/O is also placed on the top. Why WhatsApp Decided to Deprecate the Electron-Based Desktop App

The deprecation of the Electron app was not entirely unexpected, as WhatsApp had been notifying users for over four weeks through a countdown displayed on the app’s main screen. With this announcement, the Electron-based WhatsApp desktop application, which has served as a solution for using WhatsApp on desktop devices, officially comes to an end after years of operation based on the Electron framework.

Upon opening the Electron-based WhatsApp Desktop application, users will now encounter an expiration message, clearly stating that the app is no longer supported and encouraging them to switch to the new native app in order to continue using WhatsApp on their Windows computers. However, it’s worth noting that the deprecation currently only applies to the Windows version, as the native app has been stable since last year.

The Electron framework, utilized by the deprecated app, allowed developers to create cross-platform desktop applications using web technologies. While it provided compatibility across different operating systems, the performance was not always optimized, often resulting in resource-heavy usage. In contrast, native apps offer a smoother and more intuitive user interface, improved responsiveness, and enhanced stability. Hence, WhatsApp’s decision to invest in developing a native solution for its users.

However, some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the rapid deprecation, as the native Windows application currently lacks certain business features. This limitation restricts users from utilizing essential tools for effective customer communication, such as quick replies and catalog management.

To continue using WhatsApp on their Windows computers, users can download the native desktop app from the Microsoft Store. For those who rely on business tools, utilizing WhatsApp Web temporarily may serve as a viable solution. It is anticipated that WhatsApp will promptly release business features for the native app to address the concerns of users in need of essential business functionalities.

Intel had recently launched its 13th generation Core processors and today, the company has announced a new top-end model in the lineup, dubbed Intel Core i9-13900KS.

It is touted to be the fastest desktop processor to date, with a clock speed of 6.0GHz without overclocking. It is now available for purchase for the price of $699.

The Intel Core i9-13900KS is based on the 13900K chip, which peaked at 5.8GHz turbo frequency. The newly released 13900KS reaches 6GHz without overclocking using Intel’s Thermal Velocity Boost technology. It does it by using more electricity, using 250 watts at the max turbo power instead of the regular 150 watts, and peaks at 320W in a new Extreme Power Delivery Profile.

Apart from the power consumption and turbo frequencies, the Intel Core i9-13900KS is almost similar to the 13900K. The base frequency for the performance core has been increased to 3.2GHz from 3GHz. It comes with 24 cores, which include eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores.

There are 32 threads, 36MB of Intel Smart Cache, and 20 PCIe lanes, including 16 PCIe 5 and four PCIe 4 lanes. As for compatibility, the Z790 and Z690 motherboards will support this new 13900KS chip with a BIOS update.

The launch of this Intel Core i9-13900KS flagship desktop chipset comes just weeks before AMD is all set to launch the Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs. AMD has claimed that its flagship Ryzen 9 7950X3D chip will be the ultimate processor for gamers and creators, promising up to 25 percent better performance.

Lenovo Legion has launched the new Electric lift table T7 in China. The lift table comes equipped with 1600N (Newton) motors and can achieve a lift speed of up to 55mm/s. The new table is available at a price of 2699 Yuan which roughly converts to $403.

The Lenovo Legion Electric lift table T7 has a rectangular top. The tabletop comes with a matte finish and has round corners. Its legs are triangular in structure and are made with the help of a cold-welding process, which makes them more stable than the traditional T-shaped legs.

According to the company, the lift of the table uses two 1600N motors from Jiecang. Its lifting speed can reach up to 55mm/s while producing noise as low as 48db (decibel). The rated load during the lift is 125kg.

Judging from its features, the Electric lift table T7 appears to be fast, quiet, and sturdy. The lifting range of the table is between 68 to 128cm, making it suitable for users with a height of 130 to 190cm.

In addition to its lifting function, the T7 lift table also features magnetic cable organizers, storage compartments, harnesses, and other storage features. Moreover, it can be equipped with accessories like perforated boards.

The Electric lift table T7 can be used as a computer desk. Its magnetic block cable management system makes organizing cables easy and hassle-free. The T7 table adopts an integrated table frame structure, which can bear up to 250kg in the non-lifted state.

Huawei, which is having a quiet year in terms of smartphones launches, is trying to be in the news by launching other products in the market. In the latest move, the Chinese tech giant has launched a new desktop computer named Huawei MateStation S.

The Huawei MateStation S CPU has a small cabinet measuring 293mm x 93mm x 315.5mm and features a Star Trek design. In terms of specifications configuration, it comes powered by AMD Ryzen 5 4600G or AMD Ryzen 7 4700G processor and supports up to two DDR4 dual-channel memory and packs 512GB solid-state drive (SSD).

It features support for collaboration with smartphones but for that, it needs to be used with Huawei K150 Wired Keyboard. With this feature, it can be used with dual-screen linkage, file transfer, and cross-device editing.

On the front, the cabinet has a power button, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-A 3.0 port, and a USB Type-C port. There are two USB-A 2.0 ports and two USB-A 3.0 ports at a back along with a VGA port, an RJ45 port, and a few others.

While the company has not clearly mentioned that, it’s likely that the computer is running the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system out of the box. As it is not aimed at professionals, it likely has Windows 10 Home Edition pre-installed.

The Huawei MateStation S comes in two models and is already up for pre-sale in its home market China. The model powered by AMD Ryzen 5 4600G packing 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD is priced at 3,899 yuan (~$604) while the other model that features AMD Ryzen 7 4700G along with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD costs 5,099 yuan (~$790).

In related news, the company has scheduled a global launch event on 21st October and while it has not revealed what products are coming, the Chinese brand is likely to launch its Huawei P50 series flagship smartphones.

Over the last year, the PC market has shown a huge increase owing to the pandemic situation across the globe. However, the future looks grim. According to the latest forecast report from IDC Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker, PC shipments are expected to drop off in 2022.

As per the report, the worldwide shipments of PCs are expected to rise 14.2%, with 347 million units shipped in 2021. However, this is lower than IDC’s earlier forecast, which suggested 18% growth. IDC suggests that the constraints and logistical challenges are the main reason behind the dip in numbers. The tablet market is also expected to grow slowly at 3.4%. 

“We continue to believe the PC and tablet markets are supply-constrained and that demand is still there,” said Ryan Reith, program vice president with IDC’s Worldwide Mobile Device Tracker. “The lengthening of the supply shortages combined with ongoing logistical issues are presenting the industry with some big challenges.”

By 2025, traditional PCs, including desktops, notebooks, and workstations, are expected to have a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.2%. IDC says that “despite short-term supply constraints related to panels and ICs, notebook PCs will remain the main driver of future PC growth.” Meanwhile, tablet shipments are expected to decline by 1.5%.

In November 2019, IDC predicted a total market of 367 million units in 2023. But as per the current predictions, IDC expects over half a billion units of personal computing devices to be shipped in 2023. The market is expected to dip in 2022 and rise again in 2023, but the numbers would be lower than 2021.

The report suggests that consumer spending habits will shift towards travel and leisure instead of spending their money on technology. However, the numbers could still be more than expected if many had not spent the last few months on PCs.

Earlier today (13th July 2021), Master Lu released its rankings for PC hardware. In this list, CPUs were listed for both desktops and notebooks with AMD dominating the list in performance, while Intel still leads in terms of sales.

For those unaware, Master Lu is a popular Chinese benchmarking platform, which also ranks smartphones as well. Now, its latest CPU benchmarking results for various processors reveal that Team Red has dominated the list in terms of performance. This holds especially true in the desktop CPU rankings, where it holds absolute dominance. While it does lose to a Team Blue chip for the top spot in notebook rankings, the rest of the top 5 CPUs are from AMD.

In the PC list, the Ryzen Threadripper 3990X with 64 cores sat on the throne scoring 1718608 points. The second spot went to the Ryzen Threadripper 3970X with 32 cores came in second with 1271635 points, while the Ryzen 9 5950X with 16 cores came in third with 1052712 points. Another 24 core Threadripper CPU arrived fourth and the only Intel processor in the top 5 was the i9-10980XE with a score of 915913 points. On the notebook list, the Intel Core i7-11800H had a comfortable lead with 667148 points, while the runner up Ryzen 9 5900HX only scores 584684 points. Although, the rest of the top 5 spots are only comprised of AMD processors.

This listing highlights the leaps AMD has made in processing power in its chips in recent years, which has enabled it to surpass Intel on various fronts and even regain footing in market share. Although, Intel still leads the market in terms of sales, accounting for around 70 percent of all desktop processor sales across the globe. While AMD’s market share in the notebook segment is better than its desktop counterpart, Intel still holds over 60 percent market share.

As the world got hit with the viral outbreak earlier this year, the demand for various electronic products like laptops and desktop PCs rose immensely. This apparently has left manufacturers still being months away to fulfill existing orders with the shortge possibly lasting till 2022, as per analysts and hardware industry executives.

According to a Reuters report, one of the primary reasons for this sudden rise in demand was caused by the growing remote working or work from home requirements in the professional sense; whilst education was also shifted to the online digital realms due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The outbreak saw smartphone sales decline while devices with larger displays saw an increase in popularity and demand.

Gregg Prendergast, Pan-America president at hardware maker Acer Inc stated that “The whole supply chain has been strained like never before.” Furthermore, the annual shipments of PCs, including desktops and laptops, had topped out at about 300 million in 2008 and has since been on a steady decline, with only a few predicting such a resurgence in demand. At the moment, projections from analysts note that shipments in 2020 could reach around 300 million as well, which would be up by 15 percent over last year.

Another large screen gadget that has seen impressive sales are tablets. The report also adds that the number of installed tablets and PCs will reach about 1.77 billion. This is up from 1.64 billion in 2019. With various government enforcing local lockdowns, many families had looked to install at least one PC, for children and students in their homes. Notably, even the gaming industry grew as the number of gamers and related hardware also saw growth.

At the moment, many companies and manufacturers are struggling to stock up inventory to keep up with the high demand. WhatsApp is the world’s most used instant messaging app. Nonetheless, it is always late to introduce new features that are found on competitors like Telegram. That said, the Facebook-owned messaging platform is finally rolling out support for animated stickers for users on all the platforms.

Animated stickers on WhatsApp was recently spotted in Beta v2.20.194.7, however, it was soon removed in the next version v2.20.194.9. But now, they are back again for all the users instead of certain users on the beta builds. The company announced the official rollout on Twitter.

The new animated stickers feature on WhatsApp is available on all the platforms including desktop (Windows & macOS). Users need to update the app to v2.20194.16 on Android and v2.20.70 on iOS.

To use them, tap on emoji icon to access sticker pane and then select plus (+) icon to open sticker store. On that screen, animated sticker packs will be denoted by a play icon. Download the desired pack and start using them in your conversations.

Since the sticker store cannot be accessed on desktops, users need to download the animated sticker pack on their phone to use them on their computers.

Having said that, third-party support is yet to arrive as per by Gadgets360. Also, they don’t loop like on Telegram or Facebook Messenger. One needs to either scroll up or down to trigger the animation.

The listing was first shared on Twitter and was discovered by a leakster (@_rogame). Looking at the image shared the Huawei desktop sports an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4400G processor with integrated Radeon Graphics. This chip is from the Renoir lineup of APUs that feature Zen 2 architecture. It features 6 physical cores and 12 threads with its clock speed reaching up to 4.3GHz and a base clock of 3.7GHz, all of which is impressive for an APU.

The integrated Radeon Graphics has a VRAM memory of 512MB, with 1,600MHz base clock and 1,900MHz boost clock. Unfortunately, finer details regarding the PC is currently unknown. We don’t know that name of the desktop in question or its purpose, although, these specs might be for a PC with a small form factor which will have enough horsepower for dedicated professionals, while there may even be higher end or even lowered end APUs offered in this range. Asus made a big impression with its ProArt Series that, besides the desktop and monitor, includes 3 laptops.

Asus ProArt Station D940MX

Taking advantage of the evolution in hardware power that comes in a smaller package, Asus ProArt Station D940MX is a workstation-grade desktop that sports a just 8-liter chassis which makes it one of the smallest out there. Asus chose to go with Intel’s latest CPUs so it is powered by Intel’s 9th Gen CPUs and can be equipped with up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. As for the GPU, two options are available: Either the Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 or RTX 2080 Ti. Of course, a pro-workstation must come with a fast storage option so the D940MX comes with a 512GB PCIe SSD and an 1TB hard drive.

Connectivity is taken care of the dual Thunderbolt 3 ports on the front panel of the stylish chassis that features an LED indicator at the bottom of the chassis. As far as cooling is concerned, the system uses a 2D vapor chamber and heat pipes for controlling the temperatures while the 4 fans help dissipate heat quickly. Also, noise shouldn’t be a problem since Asus claims it generates up to 37dB of noise at full load. Lastly, it comes with MIL-STD 810G certification.

Asus ProArt Display PA32UCG

At this year’s WWDC Apple announced its new ProDisplay addressed at professionals and the new ProArt Display from Asus is the attempt to compete in this market segment. The new PA32UCG monitor claims to be the world’s 1st HDR 1600 display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution offered is 4K and the mini LED backlight is supposedly capable of offering 1000nits of sustained brightness and 1600nits of peak brightness as well as a contrast ratio of 1.000.000:1.

In addition, it supports HDR 10, HLG, and Dolby Vision with the panel using Quantum Dot technology and offers DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, sRGB, Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces and 10-bit color depth. There is no need for calibration as it comes pre-calibrated from the factory and, according to Asus, it has a Delta-E rating of less than 1.0. Refresh rate, on the other hand, can vary from 48Hz to 120Hz which usually benefits game development workflows. Finally, it comes with plenty of connectivity options as there are 2x Thunderbolt 3 ports, 1x DisplayPort, 3x HDMI ports, and a built-in USB hub.
