Better Performance

The Galaxy S24 series debuted with the Exynos 2400 SoC last year, but the Galaxy S24 FE model got a slightly cutdown Exynos 2400e chip. But the latest Galaxy S25 FE model got the full-fledged Exynos 2400 chip, bringing a high peak CPU speed of 3.2GHz (over 3.1GHz on the S24 FE). While you won’t feel the difference in day-to-day use, the S25 FE should be capable of slightly better performance under heavy workloads.

Bigger Battery & Faster Charging

Another notable upgrade on the Galaxy S25 FE is the battery and charging department. Despite featuring a slimmer chassis, the Galaxy S25 FE packs a larger 4,900mAh battery pack, which supports 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 FE is powered by a 4,700mAh cell that only supports 25W wired fast charging. While you also get 15W wireless charging, the wired charging speeds were quite lacklustre.

New Selfie Camera

The camera setup on the rear is basically identical to the three sensors. However, the brand is offering a minor improvement to the selfie shooter. You now get a 12MP camera for selfies and video calls on the Galaxy S25 FE, which has a wider f/2.2 aperture. In comparison, the predecessor packed a 10MP front camera that had an f/2.4 aperture. On paper, this should allow for better selfies thanks to a higher resolution, with the wider aperture allowing more light into the sensor.

The OnePlus 13R is a premium option featuring an aluminum frame and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is much faster than the Vivo V50’s 7 Gen 3 processor. It offers an LTPO 4.1 screen, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and Ultra HDR image support.

This is another excellent premium mid-range phone featuring an aluminum alloy frame, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and an IP68 rating that ensures protection against dust and water. It has a slightly smaller screen size with a higher pixel density, resulting in sharper and crisper images. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip, faster than Vivo V50’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.

It’s another solid package on the list, featuring an aluminum frame, IP68 rating, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on both sides. The Exynos 2400e chipset powers the handset, which is nearly twice as fast as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 on the Vivo V50.

The Galaxy S24 FE features a marginally smaller screen size with nearly the same pixel density but a significantly lower peak brightness. However, it leaves the Vivo V50 in the dust by offering seven years of Android upgrades. The device allows up to 8K video recording via its triple rear cameras, which also includes a telephoto unit. The battery capacity, however, is a bit disappointing, as is the charging speed (4700mAh, 25W). However, it supports wireless charging.

The Vivo T4 Ultra puts a tough show against the Vivo V50 while being similarly priced. It comes with the Dimensity 9300+ chipset, which is significantly faster than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the V50.

The T4 Ultra also features superior overall cameras, rocking a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. The V50 lacks a telephoto camera. For photography, it features a 50MP main camera with OIS, 12MP ultrawide, 8MP 3x telephoto, and a 10MP front camera. It can even shoot 8K video at 30fps from the main sensor. The phone runs One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 and is promised seven years of OS updates (six left) — something rare at this price.

Although holding off a bit longer could also be an option, as upcoming festive season discounts could push prices down even further, possibly closer to or even below ₹30,000.

Still, this discount makes the S24 FE a strong contender for buyers considering devices like the Galaxy A56, which currently costs more than the S24 FE, starting at 38,999 on Amazon. The FE model offers clear advantages like wireless charging, a telephoto lens, and a longer update roadmap—all at a lower price point.

A Geekbench listing has settled rumors about the Galaxy S25 FE’s chipset, confirming it will use the Exynos 2400, not the 2400e or MediaTek Dimensity 9400.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE, codenamed SM-S731U, is shaping up as an affordable flagship for late 2025, and a recent Geekbench listing has clarified its chipset. Initial rumors pointed to the Exynos 2400e, used in the Galaxy S24 FE, or a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 as a backup due to Exynos production issues. However, the leak reveals the standard Exynos 2400, the same 10-core chip (1x 3.2GHz Cortex-X4, 2x 2.9GHz Cortex-A720, 3x 2.6GHz Cortex-A720, 4x 1.96GHz Cortex-A520) that powered the Galaxy S24 and S24+ globally.

The difference between the Exynos 2400 and 2400e is minor, with the latter’s prime core slightly underclocked at 3.11GHz. Scoring 2064 single-core and 6899 multi-core on Geekbench 6, the S25 FE’s performance mirrors the S24 FE, suggesting no noticeable real-world upgrade.

While software optimizations in One UI 8 might offer some gains, the S24 FE will also receive the same updates soon—and likely perform neck and neck with its successor. That’s not exactly encouraging for buyers looking forward to the S25 FE.

The chip’s Xclipse 940 GPU and ray-tracing support are described as “solid” for gaming. However, it’s worth noting that image processing, system animations, and other aspects of “everyday use” are becoming increasingly demanding too.

Expected in September or October 2025, the S25 FE also reportedly retains many other specs of the S24 FE, such as the display resolution and camera setup. Could software optimizations give it an edge during the first few months before the update reaches its predecessor? Most likely, yes. Will it be cheaper than the predecessor? Let’s see.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE, expected in September or October 2025, will finally upgrade its selfie camera to 12MP, matching the standard S25 series. After two years of stagnant 10MP front cameras, the brand is finally upgrading it with a higher resolution, though the 50MP main sensor remains unchanged.

Samsung’s Fan Edition (FE) line, known for delivering flagship-like features at a much lower price, is getting a much-needed selfie camera upgrade with the Galaxy S25 FE. According to GalaxyClub, the upcoming model will sport a 12MP front-facing camera, aligning the resolution with the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra. This marks the first selfie camera improvement since the Galaxy S21 FE (32MP, 1/2.74″), as both the S23 FE and S24 FE stuck with a 10MP sensor, which measures 1/3.0″.

While the resolution bump is expected to deliver crisper selfies and better low-light performance, the 12MP sensor is slightly smaller (1/3.2″ vs 1/3.0″), which makes it counterintuitive. Still, much of what makes a good selfie comes down to image processing—and Samsung can likely reuse its S25-series algorithms here. So, even if calling it an “upgrade” is debatable, the S25 FE should still offer a noticeably better front camera experience.

The rear camera stays familiar

The S25 FE is expected to retain the 50MP primary sensor used in the S23 FE and S24 FE, paired with a 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto. Powered by Exynos 2400e or Dimensity 9400, the S25 FE should offer a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging.

The phone is slated for a September or October 2025 launch, possibly alongside a rumored Galaxy Z Flip FE—Samsung’s first budget foldable. The predecessor launched with a starting price of $649.99, and the pricing for the S25FE is yet to be revealed.

The South Korean tech giant made sure to offer a premium design and display on the Galaxy A56, matching the Galaxy S24 FE’s glass rear, aluminum frame, and Gorilla Glacc Victus+ for protection. But considering how it’s a mid range model, the Galaxy A56 only features the Exynos 1580 SoC. This is a power efficient and capable processor, no doubt. However, the Galaxy S24 FE is easily more powerful thanks to its Exynos 2400e. It is a slightly underpowered version of the Exynos 2400 that also powers the Galaxy S24.

Three Usable Cameras

Another area where the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE shines is the camera system. It features a 50MP (Main) + 12MP (Ultra Wide) + 8MP (Telephoto) camera system on the rear, while the front houses a 10MP selfie shooter. In other words, there are three usable cameras allowing for both zoomed and wide shots.

While the Galaxy A56 also offers a triple camera setup on the rear, it only consists of a 50MP (Main) + 12MP (Ultra Wide) + 5MP (Macro). So its camera system isn’t as versatile as the S24 FE since it skips the handy telephoto shooter with a less popular macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 12MP shooter. Meaning, Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE is clearly a better choice for photography and videography, with support for 8K video recording as well.

Longer Software Support

Picking a Samsung smartphone has its perks, with the long software support being one of them. The brand promises up to 6 years of OS updates along with security patches. But since the Galaxy S24 FE is technically a part of the premium Galaxy S lineup, the S24 FE gets a longer 7 years of Android OS updates and security patches. However, it is worth noting that the Galaxy S24 FE did launch with Android 14. So this basically evens the playing field.

Pricing

One of the biggest reasons why the Galaxy S24 FE is worth checking out right now is the discount it received. It is currently listed for 34,999 INR in the Indian market for the base 8GB + 128GB configuration. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A56 starts from 41,999 INR for the 8GB + 256GB starting variant. The higher storage is attractive, but even the 8GB + 256GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is cheaper as its starts from 40,999 INR.

Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB version is selling for 40,999 INR, down from 65,999 INR. Both models are listed on Flipkart with these notable discounts. There is also an ongoing deal for the duo on Amazon India, but these are slightly more expensive on the other platform.

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE land in the same general category: premium mid-range phones that try to do a little bit of everything while looking the part. 

Both phones offer large OLED displays, capable triple-camera systems, and a splash of flagship DNA, but they go about things very differently. One leans on sheer hardware specs and big battery numbers, the other rides on brand reputation and software support.

If you’re trying to choose between these two, here are five key ways the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is different from the Galaxy S24 FE.

Display Brightness and Visual Specs

Both phones come with 6.7-inch OLED panels that refresh at 120Hz and support the HDR10+ standard. So at first glance, they seem evenly matched. But Motorola pushes the panel much further in terms of peak brightness and resolution.

The Edge 60 Pro’s P-OLED display hits up to 4500 nits of peak brightness. It’s several times brighter than what most phones can manage, and more than double the 1900 nits peak brightness of the S24 FE. 

It also has a higher resolution at 1220 x 2712 pixels (444 ppi), compared to the FE’s 1080 x 2340 pixels (385 ppi). So you should get sharper visuals and better daylight legibility on the Motorola, even though the S24 FE uses Samsung’s high-end Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel tech.

Samsung’s strength is likely in display tuning and color science, but for sheer specs on paper, Motorola has the more technically impressive screen. Not to forget, it also has a higher screen-to-body ratio (92.2% vs 88%).

Performance: Dimensity vs Exynos

This might be the most divisive difference between the two. The Edge 60 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme, while the Galaxy S24 FE uses Samsung’s Exynos 2400e.

On paper, both chipsets are built on a 4nm process and feature modern cores, but their performance profiles differ. The Dimensity 8350 Extreme is structured around Cortex-A715 and Cortex-A510 cores that hit up to 3.35 GHz on the prime core. It’s paired with a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU.

The Exynos 2400e, meanwhile, is a 10-core setup with a peak 3.1 GHz performance core and uses AMD’s Xclipse 940 GPU. It also supports hardware ray tracing, though that’s more aspirational than useful right now.

In reality, neither chip will match the performance of recent flagship chips. But both of them will handle your tasks, light or demanding, fairly easily. 

The Edge 60 Pro is available with up to 12GB of RAM, whereas the S24 FE tops out at 8GB. Both have UFS 4.0 storage.

Battery Life and Charging

Battery is one area where the Edge 60 Pro pulls ahead. Motorola has stuffed in a 6000 mAh silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery inside the phone, while the Galaxy S24 FE makes do with 4700 mAh. 

That’s a substantial difference in raw capacity. In daily use, this should translate into longer screen-on time and less frequent charging.

On pure megapixel count and ultrawide versatility, Motorola wins here. Both have optical zoom, but the FE’s telephoto sensor is smaller and likely to show more noise in tricky lighting. That’s on paper, though. For a real comparison, it’s best to go through some reviews for a better sense of performance. 

On the flip side, Samsung pulls ahead in terms of video resolution. It supports recording up to 8K@30fps, whereas Motorola caps at 4K@30fps. So, if you’re shooting a lot of high-res video, Samsung might be the better tool.

As for selfies, Motorola uses a 50MP front camera with 4K recording. Samsung’s is a 10MP unit that also shoots in 4 K. Again, spec-wise, Motorola gives you more.

The Galaxy A35 5G boots Android 14 out of the box and offers four years of guaranteed Android upgrades, up to Android 18. The camera performance is decent, offering detailed shots in good lighting conditions, but the low-light photography could be improved.

The center point of this phone is the AMOLED screen you’re getting for just $170. It’s vibrant and has deep blacks that easily outperform any LCD panel. It’s a 1080p screen with 800nits of peak brightness, which isn’t bad for a phone at this price. The 90Hz refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and animations.

You wouldn’t expect amazing photography from a $170 phone. However, the Galaxy A15 5G does a better job than most budget phones at this price. This is a minor update so there’s no major new features or changes arriving with this software upgrade.

However, Samsung is probably gearing for something much larger soon. As we near the end of the year, the release of the next generation Android 15 OS is right around the corner. The company’s upcoming 2025 flagships, the Galaxy S25 series, are expected to debut with this new version of Android. Samsung offers its devices with its One UI custom skin, and the next iteration is the One UI 7.0. This major update will be arriving on the Galaxy S24 series, namely the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, along with the latest Fan Edition model.

Photography is one area where there is no apparent upgrade between generations. The duo feature a 50-megapixel primary camera along with an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter, and 12-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. For selfies and video calls, the front houses a 10-megapixel sensor.

Pricing & Verdict

Samsung released the Galaxy S24 FE with a starting price tag of 49 US Dollars, which marks a 50 US Dollar price hike over the S23 FE’s launch price. The Galaxy S23 FE was already a competent phone and the S24 FE is basically a refresh. You get a taller screen, slightly bigger battery, and faster chipset. It is hard to recommend to users who are looking to upgrade over the older FE model. But for those outside Samsung’s ecosystem and are planning on buying a new phone in this price range, the Galaxy S24 FE is worth looking out for.

Samsung has launched its 2024 FE device, the Galaxy S24 FE, with a chipset that is expected to be a downgraded version of the Galaxy S24’s Exynos 2400 chip. This is called the Exynos 2400e. Now Samsung has officially confirmed that the Exynos 2400e only differs from the Exynos 2400 in one key area.

100MHz lower clock speed as compared to Exynos 2400

The company reveals that the max frequency of the Exynos 2400e’s performance core is 3.1GHz, just 0.1GHz lower than that of Exynos 2400. “The silicon itself, however, is the same, and just the max frequency, or Fmax, has been slightly adjusted/optimized for the mobile device,” Samsung responds.

Samsung has managed to improve the power efficiency and stability of its Exynos 2400 chip to the point where both the Exynos and Snapdragon variants of the Galaxy S24 series offer similar performance in most use cases.

However, the reduction of peak clock speed for the S24 FE targets better thermal management, as the phone packs a relatively inferior heat dissipation system compared to the Galaxy S24 or S24+.

The 100MHz lower clock speed likely won’t result in a significant performance gap compared to flagship devices. Moreover, smartphone chips rarely reach their peak clock speeds in everyday use. This is good news for those considering the Galaxy S24 FE.

Nonetheless, it’s also important to note that the overall performance can still be tuned differently without reducing or changing the peak clock speed.

Other aspects of the Galaxy S24 FE

Speaking of other aspects, the Galaxy S24 FE packs a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel that supports an up-to-120Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches a peak brightness of 1900 nits, which ensures a reasonably good HDR video streaming experience. The phone weighs 213g and is 8mm thick.

The phone is currently available for sale on Samsung’s official website for Rs 65,999 (8+256GB), just Rs 2,000 less than the same configuration of the Galaxy S24. In comparison, the S24 is more compact and much lighter, with a 6.2-inch display and weighing 167 g.

Samsung‘s Galaxy S series “Fan Edition” (FE) has become a reliable option for those seeking a taste of flagship features without the flagship price tag. Not to forget, you also get the complete suite of Galaxy AI photo editing features like Generative Edit, Portrait Studio, Edit Suggestions, and Instant Slow-mo out of the box. The software side is handled by One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. It will get 7 years of the platform as well as security patch updates.

We can see the box has a SIM tool, a quick start guide, and a USB-C cable – no charger included, unsurprisingly. But the video does confirm some key specs and color options for the S24 FE.

The smartphone will be available in a total of five colors — blue, graphite, gray, mint, and yellow, just as previous leaks suggested. Its frame will be made of aluminium and you’ll get Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front. Inside, it packs a decent-sized 4,700mAh battery which will likely support 25W wired charging.  

Camera specs get a quick rundown too, confirming a 50MP wide-angle lens, 12MP ultra-wide, 8MP 3x telephoto zoom, and a 10MP selfie camera – all details we’ve already heard through the rumor mill.

The base 128GB model is expected to retail for $649, while the 256GB variant will cost $709. This marks a $50 jump from the Galaxy S23 FE, which launched at $599 last year.

The company appears to have finally confirmed the launch date for its upcoming budget flagship phone and premium tablets. So let’s have a look.

Samsung Vietnam recent shared a video teaser on its official YouTube channel that referred to the Galaxy Unpacked event in September 2024. In this video, a smartphone with a triple camera setup on the rear, metal frame, and rounded corners can be seen. The teaser confirms that it will feature Galaxy Ai, so it is likely the Galaxy S24 FE. Pre-registrations for this model are already live in Vietnam.

At the end of the video, we can see this smartphone alongside the date 26th September 2024. Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra with the Galaxy S24 FE. So the new phone and tablets likely have a global launch date for next week. It is worth noting that this date is also in line with some of our previous reports as well.

The South Korean tech giant had started taking pre reservations for the Galaxy Tab S10 in India as well. In other words, the tablets should start shipping out to early buyers next week as well. Now, thanks to a new leak from Android Headlines, we have a look at the phone’s design in four colors: Blue, Graphite, Green, and Yellow. While the S24 FE is also rumored to come in white, that color hasn’t surfaced in the latest leak.

Looking at the renders, it’s easy to do a double-take. The S24 FE appears nearly identical to the S23 FE. Samsung seems to be adopting a “why mess with a good thing?” approach here.  The camera layout on the back, the punch-hole display – it’s all very familiar territory. 

The most noticeable change appears to be the frame, which ditches the S23 FE’s curves for a flatter, more modern look – a design element borrowed from the flagship Galaxy S24. But there’s particularly not anything that stands out in its appearance.

Moving from asthetics, the smartphone is expected to pack a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a respectable 1,900 nits peak brightness. 

Gorilla Glass Victus+ should offer some peace of mind for those prone to accidental drops. Powering the phone will likely be a toned-down version of Samsung’s latest Exynos 2400 chipset.  

The camera department seems to be sticking with a proven formula: a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom capabilities.

The new Galaxy Tab S10+ Wi-Fi only model has just surfaced on Thailand’s NBTC certification, while the Galaxy S24 FE was spotted on NBTC and Peruvian MTC databases (Via MySmartPrice). The latter was listed carrying the SM-S721B/DS model number on both certifications, with the MTC also featuring the phone’s renders. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE’s design is in line with our previous reports, with a triple camera setup on the rear.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S10+ was spotted on NBTC with the SM-X820 model number. While these certifications do not reveal any finer details like specs of the new products, they do confirm that their launch is right around the corner. Just recently, the Galaxy S24 FE also visited the FCC, Bluetooth SIG, and BIS platforms. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S10+ was spotted on FCC, the official UK support page, and 3C.

All of these revealed some specs and features for the S24 FE and the Tab S10+. Based on what we know so far, the upcoming smartphone arrives with an Exynos 2400e processor, packs a 4,565mAh battery pack, and supports 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging. Samsung is gearing up to unveil a bunch of new products soon. One of these highly anticipated products includes the Galaxy S24 FE, which is an upcoming budget flagship smartphone. This device might be the affordable premium experience that people are waiting for, however, I suspect it might fall short in some regards. So here are the Top 3 reasons why the Galaxy S24 FE may disappoint.

Underwhelming Battery & Charging

Samsung isn’t known for offering big batteries on its flagship phones except for the Ultra. While the industry standard for most high-end devices is a 5,000mAh battery pack, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ only offered a 4,000mAh and 4,900mAh cell respectively. While the latter is still quite decent, the Galaxy S24 FE might fall somewhere between these two. Last month, a leak claimed that the 2024 Fan Edition model would be powered by a 4565mAh battery. This is ever so slightly bigger than its predecessor but it’s still quite underwhelming.

It gets worse considering the charging rates. In the current market, even budget phones can offer faster charging rates than the Galaxy S24 FE. Based on the TUV Rheinland database, the Galaxy S24 FE supports just 25W wired fast charging. Only the higher-end Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra support 45W wired fast charging. But even these pale in comparison to flagship phones from other brands. Samsung’s budget flagship could also offer 9W wireless charging support, which is slower than the 15W wireless charging feature on the Galaxy S23 FE and even the Galaxy S21 FE.

Camera: Same as last time?

The previous gen Galaxy S23 FE was well received in the market and didn’t have any glaring issues or standout features in particular. It was a solid package and made certain improvements over the S21 FE, mainly the design. However some felt that the camera didn’t feel as capable as Samsung’s true flagship models. While the exact image sensors of the Galaxy S24 FE are still unknown, this is the same overall package as the Galaxy S23 FE. So there’s a chance we might not see any improvement in the photography side.

Underpowered Exynos 2400

The former has always been faster than the brand’s proprietary chipset but with the Galaxy S24 FE, we might getting only an Exynos option.

Rumors have also hinted that the chip under the hood is an underclocked version dubbed the Exynos 2400e. This might be the company’s way to cut costs on cooling or some other reason. So it probably won’t be as powerful as some of the other new affordable flagship phones out there.

UAE’s TDRA (Telecommunications Regulatory Authority) and the UL Demko certification platform have recently confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S10+ will come in both Wi-Fi and 5G versions. In related news, the Galaxy S24 FE has also been spotted on TDRA and TUV Rheinland certification platform.

TUV certification reveals that the Galaxy S24 FE will support 25W charging, the same as its predecessor. It’s also reported that the phone will support 9W wireless charging. Interestingly, the Galaxy S23 FE supports a relatively faster 15W wireless charging.

TUV certification also reveals that the phone will come in a total of seven models – SM-S721B/DS, SM-S721B, SM-S721N, SM-S721Q, SM-S721U, SM-S721W, SM-S7210. These model numbers are expected to represent the device in different markets, of which SM-S721B is the global version, and SM-S721U is for the US market.

According to the TDRA certification listing, the Galaxy S24 FE is “SM-S721B/DS”, where “DS” indicates that the device supports dual-SIM dual standby. The global variant (SM-S721B/DS) has also been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which confirms that the phone will support Wi-Fi 6E (2.4GHz and 5GHz bands), NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G connectivity, LTE, and GSM. The phone is said to measure 162mm and 77.3mm in height and width respectively.

We already know that the Galaxy S24 FE will be powered by a slightly downclocked version of the Exynos 2400 chip, which powers the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. The phone is expected to be released between September to early October. In terms of appearance, the phone could be very similar to its predecessor, at least when it comes to the back design. Live images of the phone have already been revealed, which show a very similar camera module design, similar flat sides, and an identical placement of the flash module as compared to the predecessor.

Looking at the online database, we can see that the Galaxy S24 FE supports dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), NFC, Bluetooth, and 5G connectivity.

The platform has also confirmed support for up to 9W reverse wireless charging. This also means that it supports wireless charging as well. Live images of Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE can also be seen, showcasing a flat display with rounded corners.

Spotted on other certifications

The upcoming budget flagship Samsung smartphone has also visited the TDRA and TUV Rheinland certification. On the TRDA database, the phone was seen with the SM-S721B/DS model number, with the DS standing for dual SIM support. On the other hand, the TUV Rheinland certified the smartphone in seven models, namely SM-S721B/DS, SM-S721B, SM-S721N, SM-S721Q, SM-S721U, SM-S721W, SM-S7210. These likely refer to models for different markets. However, it is confirmed to launch with 25W wired fast charging.

The Galaxy S24 FE is confirmed to come with Exynos 2400e on geekbench. Compared to the Exynos 2400, the only difference is that the Cortex-X4 core with a top speed of 3.2GHz has been reduced to 3.11GHz. This will allow the smartphone to offer a longer battery life. Samsung is actually lowering the clock speed here in a reasonable way. There is nothing wrong with this. Although this is not fair, users thought that users in America would get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor. The BIS listing itself reveals little new information. It’s listed with the model number SM-S721B/DS, which matches the one found on Samsung’s support page. However, the certification offers no insights into the phone’s hardware or design. However, its presence on the BIS website strongly suggests the Galaxy S24 FE will be available for purchase in India.

Previous leaks have pointed towards a global launch in October 2024. The phone is expected to borrow heavily from the design of the standard Galaxy S24, with reports suggesting a similar display and at least five color options – green, yellow, graphite, blue, and silver/white.

Now a Korean publication ETNews suggests the smartphone will launch globally in October. 

The Galaxy S24 FE is said to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400e processor, a likely toned-down version of the Exynos 2400 found in the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus. It will run One UI 6.1.1, the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom Android skin.  

The phone is expected to feature a 4,565mAh battery, and leaked marketing materials suggest that Samsung will promote impressive endurance numbers. It is said to offer up to 78 hours of music playback and 29 hours of video playback on a single charge.

The display on the S24 FE is expected to be a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ and there’s a 10MP selfie camera tucked inside a centered punch-hole cutout.
