The Huawei Mate 30 is the current headlining act from Huawei for IFA 2019, but it’s not all the company has in store. It looks like the Huawei P30 Pro will be getting some new colors at IFA. Previously, Huawei patented two new colors for the smaller Huawei P30 – two dual tone paint jobs, including a new take on the “panda” color scheme.

Several online stores have empty listings for the P30 Pro for in Misty Lavender and Mystic Blue. No images have been uploaded. What we find interesting however is how these two rumored colours match up with the new leaked renders for the Huawei Mate 30. The Misty Lavender colour scheme is especially similar to the soft purple Huawei Mate 30 in the renders.

If this means what we think it means, then it’s possible we already know the names of the colours for the upcoming Huawei Mate 30.  Will the two new options be gradients, dual tone paint jobs or something else? We’ll have to wait until IFA to find out, that’s usually when Huawei refreshes the options of its P-series (and announces the new Mates, of course).

Huawei launched an event for releasing Huawei P30 series in Shanghai yesterday. This latest series was released weeks ago in Paris, but the event still attracts lots of people to focus. The packaging boxes of Huawei P30 series are white color with Huawei’s logo, the product name, Leica logo and other hot stamping words. It’s very simple.

Huawei’s latest P30 Pro may not have garnered the best score for video recording on DXOMark but the phone still ranks as the best camera phone around presently. The P30 Pro comes with a quad camera setup at the rear with one of the sensors being a periscope lens that gives the device the ability to achieve 5x optical zoom and a whopping 50x digital zoom. A video said to have been recorded by the P30 Pro recently went viral on Facebook and that is because it shows the 50x digital zoom feature in action and it was awesome.

The video that appears to have been uploaded on video sharing platform Tik Tok first, showed the camera zooming in on a Chinese chess game from a spot on top of a tall building. Despite the distance, the camera was still able to pick out the words on the chess pieces. Even though at that level of zoom it looks a little blurry, we could still make out the words on the chess pieces and with some level of clarity that is awesome.

Huawei went official with two strong flagships, the P30 and P30 Pro towards the end of March. The YouTube video was created by TechMagnet and was filmed at the Huawei Service Store in Vienna, Austria. The dismantling was done by a technician with up to 20 years of experience as a Huawei service centre technician. But then, the process doesn’t look so complicated for any tech expert to do the same.

From the internals, the Huawei P30 Pro is an all round beauty. The device uses a glass back which comes apart after heating with the heat gun and use of a suction cup to pull out. When the rear cover is removed, the P30 Pro is shown to be covered with a graphite sticker for heat dissipation.

Also notable is the arrangement of the quad camera setup at the rear of the P30 Pro.  It could be seen that the 20MP super wide-angle sensor, 40MP main sensor and ToF sensors are combined. Huawei P30 Pro is the company’s flagship smartphone which was launched last month at an event in Paris, France. It comes with a quad-camera setup and top-of-the-line specifications and has almost everything that you expect in a smartphone.

While the phone comes with an impressive set of camera hardware, the DxO scores for the video part isn’t impressive. For the photo, P30 Pro scores 119 points and sits on top of the list. However, for Video, it scored 97 points, which is a point lower than its predecessor.

Now, Li Xiaolong, Vice President of Huawei’s smartphone product line, spoke about the issue of Huawei P30 Pro video recording scores during an interview with the media. He says that DxO believes that 4K mode greatly improves the resolution but the company does not regard 4K as the default mode.

Huawei believes that making 4K default isn’t the best setting for the users and thus, the default for video of P30 Pro is 1080p 30FPS which the company says is better and is more widely used. He adds that the company isn’t targeting DxO scores.

The Huawei P30 Pro features a 6.47-inch Full HD+ curved OLED display. It doesn’t have an earpiece and instead, it uses Acoustic Display Technology which emits sounds through the display using magnetic levitation.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core processor along with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. There is also support for storage expansion using Huawei’s NM Card.

Huawei has redesigned the tray: rather than a SIM tray where the two SIMs and or the NM Card are side-by-side, the tray of the P30 series is designed to fit in one Nano SIM on top and the NM Card or a second Nano SIM underneath.

In terms of optics, the P30 Pro has four camera sensors on the back panel – a 20MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle lens, a 40MP f/1.6 wide-angle lens, an 8MP f/3.4 5X telephoto, and a ToF depth-sensing camera. For selfies, it comes with a 32MP sensor with AI HDR+.

The IP68 rated smartphone also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner which is claimed by the company to be 30% faster than that of the previous generation. Even though both models are beautiful, the Huawei P30 Pro definitely steals the show with its curved edge display. The bezels at the chin of the P30 is thinner but that doesn’t in any way reduce the P30 Pro’s attraction. Well, except you are not a fan of curved edge display. Both models have the waterdrop notch design with a 32AI HDR+.. On the P30, the earpiece is at the top of the notch but the Pro version doesn’t have one instead, it uses Acoustic Display Technology which emits sounds through the display using magnetic levitation. 

Turning to the rear aspect, the P30 has triple cameras aligned vertically at the top left corner. Huawei has always improved on its camera and the new models are no exceptions. The P30’s camera configuration includes an 8MP 3X telephoto lens, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 40MP wide angle lens. On the other hand, the P30 Pro features a 20MP ultra wide angle lens, a 40MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP 5X telephoto, and a ToF depth-sensing camera. The arrangement of the LED flash on the models also differs which make for easy identification. The LED flash is at the bottom on the P30 and on the side in the P30 Pro. There is noticeably no rear fingerprint sensor on any of the models and that is because the device features an in-display sensor.

For specs, the P30 packs a 6.1-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 2340x1080pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The P30 Pro is slightly bigger with a 6.47-inch FHD+ curved OLED display. They are both powered by a Kirin 980 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There is support for storage expansion using Huawei’s NM Card. Huawei is expected to go official with its first flagship model for the year, the P30 series within the first quarter. There are speculations, backed by an official statement from Huawei Poland that the models will be launched around March ending. The P30 series will be made up of the Huawei P30, P30 Pro and the P30 Lite. The Huawei P30 Pro is expected to be the standout model among the lot and so, it is no surprise that the device has repeatedly featured in leaks. However, a leak that will likely make it into contenders for the mother of all leaks has appeared online.

The leak is that of the P30 Pro real live pictures showing what should be the final design but this is a dummy. The leak emanated from Digital Trends which claimed to have had personal time with the upcoming Huawei flagship. Since it is a dummy unit, Digital Trend says the screen does work. But to buttress suspicions that this might be the final design, they weren’t allowed to take photos of the front.

The device shows the rear will have a triple camera setup. We also see the words “Vogue” and “Link”. Vogue is said to be the codename for the device while link will be replaced with “Leica on the final product. Overall, the design is said to be closer to the Mate 20 Pro but retains the aesthetics of the P20 Pro. Earlier leaks suggest the P30 Pro will feature a teardrop design at the top and will have a quad camera setup at the rear.  This last has definitely not been heard about the device. We expect more details to be outed ahead of its launch.

Last year, Huawei had launched the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro flagship phones at the end of March. Hence, the rumor mill has been speculating that the Chinese manufacturer will be announcing its next P series of flagship phones by the end of Q1 2019. Through a press release by Huawei Poland which confirms that it will be hiring one hundred employees at its Poland division also reveals that the P30 flagship series will be announced by the end of March.

The press release states that in a bid to achieve faster growth rate in segments like smartphones, laptops and accessories, the company aims to double its employees in various departments like sales, customer service and marketing at its Polish wing. It also confirmed that the Huawei will be holding a press event at the end of March in Paris to announce its next P series of flagship smartphones. Last year, the company had used the same location to announce the P20 and P20 Pro smartphones.

The Huawei P30 series includes smartphones like the P30 Lite, P30 and P30 Pro. While the P30 Lite is expected to be packed with the mid-range specs, the P30 and P30 will be coming with flagship specs and stellar cameras. Rumors are rife that the P30 Lite is codenamed as Marie Claire and the P30 and P30 Pro smartphones are respectively codenamed as Elle and Vogue. It is speculated that the P30 Lite will debut by the end of this month and the Paris unveil event could be reserved for announcing the P30 and P30 Pro handsets.

Like the predecessor models, the P30 and P30 Pro are expected to deliver topnotch camera experience.  The P30 is expected to come equipped with a triple camera setup whereas the P30 Pro is expected to feature an additional ToF sensor alongside its triple camera sensors. A recent report had claimed that the P30 may feature the Sony IMX600 as its main sensor whereas the P30 Pro may even better Sony IMX607 as its primary sensor. The P30 Pro is also expected to feature periscope module for delivering higher optical zoom experience.

The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro phones are rumored to fueled by the Kirin 980 chipset and they are likely to come equipped with waterdrop-style notched screen. The P30 may have up to 8 GB of RAM whereas the P30 Pro could feature up to 12 GB of RAM.

Huawei will be also present at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 tech trade show later this month. It will be using the platform to announce its first foldable phone enabled with 5G connectivity.

A variant of the same phone was spotted with model number MAR-LX1M at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). Unconfirmed information suggests that that MAR-XXX phone could be the upcoming Huawei P30 Lite mid-range phone from the P30 series includes flagship phones like P30 and P30 Pro. Some information on the specifications of the P30 Lite have surfaced today. Also, it is speculated that the P30 Lite will be launching ahead of the P30 and P30 Pro phones that are to debut by the end of March.

Based on the display panel and case images that have leaked in the recent past, it can be said that the P30 Lite will be featuring a waterdrop notch screen, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a vertical camera setup with triple lenses. The Huawei P30 is expected to arrive with 6-inch OLED screen with under-display fingerprint reader. Since the size of the display of the P30 Lite is almost same as P30 handset, it is likely that the Lite edition may feature a 6-inch. It will be an IPS LCD panel that will support full HD+ resolution.

The Kirin 710 chipset is rumored to power the Huawei P30 Lite.  The triple camera module of the handset is expected to feature 20-megapixel, 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel camera sensors. In related news, Huawei is also prepping up another 1,000 Yuan priced phone for China with triple rear cameras. As of this writing, there is no information available on the exact name of the device.

It is speculated that the P30 Lite could be releasing in some markets as Huawei Nova 4e. The P30 Lite may debut at the end of the coming month or early March. There is no information available on the pricing of the phone.

Three new Huawei devices with model numbers such as VOG-L29, ELE-L29 and MAR-LX1M have been certified by the Eurasian Economic Commission in Russia. In the past, EEC listings for Huawei phones had always carried their product names. However, the names of the aforementioned Huawei models haven’t appeared on EEC. A Russian tech publication claims that these could be the codenames of the upcoming Huawei P30 and these names could be based on fashion magazines. Hence, it is speculated that the P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite could be codenamed as Elle, Vogue and Marie Claire.

In December, an Israeli tech journalist had claimed had shared the render of the Huawei P30 with triple rear cameras. He had claimed that the handset measures 148.7 x 70.6mm and he had also revealed that the P30 is codenamed as Elle. Hence, it appears that the Chinese manufacture could be using fashion magazine names as codenames for the Huawei P30, P30 Pro and P30 Pro Lite. An anonymous commenter on GSMArena had revealed Vogue as the codename for the upcoming flagship phone. Probably, the P30 Pro could be codenamed as Vogue. The MAR could be based on the Marie Claire fashion magazine, claims the Russian publication.

The above codenames have been deduced through unverified sources. Hence, it is advisable to take this report with a pinch of salt and wait for further reports for confirmed information.

The MAR-AL00/TL00 has already received certification from 3C body in China earlier this month. Apart from the fact that handset may carry support for 18W charging, there is no other information available on the device. If it is the P30 Lite smartphone, it could be fueled by the Kirin 710 chipset.

Huawei is gearing up to launch its Huawei P30 series smartphones. The P30 and P30 Pro both have leaked a few times and based on those leaks, Youtuber Waqar Khan developed the concept render of the Huawei P30 Pro.

As said, the concept render is in line with the previous leaks and showcases what to expect in terms of the phone’s design. The smartphone is expected to come with narrow bezels on the sides and a thin chin at the bottom.

On top of the display, it features a waterdrop notch and the screen is curved on the sides, thus it will offer higher screen-to-body ratio. Further, the phone is also said to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The power button and the volume rocker keys are placed on the right side.

Coming to the back panel, the phone is equipped with four camera sensors stacked vertically. The sensors are accompanied by dual-tone LED flash. The camera module is placed in the top-left corner while in the bottom-left corner, there’s Huawei branding.

The previous report indicated that only three of the four cameras on the Huawei P30 Pro can be used for taking pictures. The fourth is a ToF (Time of Flight) camera that will be used for 3D face scanning and modeling. However, one of the Huawei P30 Pro’s sensors is a telephoto lens with support for 10x optical zoom.

Early rumors claimed that the 38-megapixel Sony IMX607 sensor that supports topnotch low-light performance could be the phone’s primary camera sensor. Under the hood, the device is likely to be powered by Kirin 980 octa-core 7nm chipset. In terms of software, the phone will run Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0 out-of-the-box.

The Huawei P20 Pro that was announced earlier this year is the first smartphone ever to feature a triple camera unit on its rear. Hence, the rumor mill has been speculating that the Huawei P30 Pro arriving next year would be featuring a quad camera setup. While it may not be the world’s first phone to feature quad camera setup as Samsung has already launched the Galaxy A9 (2018) with four rear-mounted cameras, a recent report had claimed that the P30 Pro could be equipped with an additional rear camera sensor. Olixar has shared fresh images of its cases for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro to claim that these handsets will respectively feature triple and quad cameras on their rear.

The case images of the Huawei P30 Pro shows that the vertical quad camera setup will be coupled with a separate cutout for flash unit. It seems to feature a dual-LED flash and the two dots placed over it could be some additional sensor like laser autofocus. The case image of the P30 shows that there is a single vertical cutout for the triple camera unit and the LED flash.

It speculated that Huawei will settle for waterdrop notch display design for the P30 and P30 Pro and not the in-screen camera hole design available on new phone like Huawei Nova 4 and Honor V20. Benjamin Geskin’s renders of the P30 Pro showed how it appear with waterdrop notch design and quad rear cameras.

The images shared by Olixar seems to show slightly different waterdrop notch design for the P30 and P30 Pro. The images feature OPPO’s styled date arrangement on the top-left corner of the screen. Recent reports have claimed that the Huawei P30 Pro arriving in Q1 2019 next year will be equipped with quad cameras. Some rumors have claimed that Huawei may come with an in-screen camera hole design. However, new information shared by reliable tipster Ice Universe has claimed that the P30 Pro will be equipped with a wide or a drop notch.

The Huawei Nova 4 debuting on Dec. 17 and the Honor V20 flagship that is scheduled to go official on Dec. 26 are arriving with in-screen camera hole display design. According to the leakster, the P30 Pro will be featuring a curved display made either by China’s BOE display maker or LG from South Korea. The tipster has added that Samsung is the only OLED maker that manufactures in-screen hole designed displays that are officially known as Infinity-O. The images of the screen protectors of the alleged Huawei P30 Pro has also revealed that the handset will be equipped with a waterdrop notch screen.

Popular designer and tipster Benjamin Geskin has created fresh renders based on the rumors surrounding the Huawei P30 Pro. The following render shows the waterdrop notch styled screen of the P30 Pro. The rear side of the phone has a Leica engineered quad camera setup which includes three camera sensors clustered together and a separated fourth camera sensor. Alongside it is the dual-LED flash. The two small-sized holes above the LED flash could be for the laser autofocus. The handset sports Aurora Blue gradient color.

Early rumors have claimed that the 38-megapixel Sony IMX607 sensor that supports topnotch low-light performance. The Kirin 980 chipset is likely to be fueled by Kirin 980 chipset and up to 12 GB of RAM whereas the P30 Is expected to feature 8-megapixel camera and triple camera module. Rumors have it that Huawei may also arrive in a 5G version.
