Xiaomi has already released the stable HyperOS 2 update to over a dozen smartphones, and the list keeps getting bigger and bigger as the days go by. The latest one to get the HyperOS 2 treat is none other than the Poco X6 Pro. The global rollout starts with the EEA region, but it won’t be long before it reaches different parts of the world.

The HyperOS 2 update for the Poco X6 Pro is tagged with firmware version 2.0.2.0.VNLEUXM. It’s based on Android 15. Hence, in addition to HyperOS 2 features, you’ll get more new features directly from the development team at Google.

It’s a major update that weighs around 5.7GB in size. Hence, it’s recommended that you download it over a stable Wi-Fi connection. And before you hit the install button, ensure that the battery is at least 40% charged to avoid update failure.

To upgrade your Poco X6 Pro to the latest software, open the Settings app and go to the software update section. From there, you can check for a new update and download it. If you don’t see an update there, manually download the update package using third-party websites/apps such as Hyperosupdates.com or the MemeOS Enhancer app and flash the package manually.

POCO has recently introduced its POCO X6 series of smartphones in the mid-range segment of the Indian market. The highlight of this series is the POCO X6 Pro, which stands out as India’s first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset and Xiaomi’s HyperOS. In contrast, the regular POCO X6 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset providing users with a range of options based on their preferences.

Starting today, the POCO X6 series is available to purchase exclusively on Flipkart. Pricing details are straightforward; The POCO X6 starts at Rs 21,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs 24,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant. On the other hand, there are two configurations, for the POCO X6 Pro – an 8GB + 256GB model priced at Rs 26,999 and a 12 GB +512 GB model priced at Rs 28,999. Color options include Snowstorm White and Mirror Black for the POCO X6 while Racing Grey, Spectre Black, and POCO Yellow are offered for the X6 Pro.

Exciting incentives are in store for buyers including a Rs 2,000 discount for ICICI Bank credit and Debit cardholders as well as EMI transactions. Furthermore, customers can enjoy an exchange bonus of up to Rs 2,000 when choosing either the POCO X6 or X6 Pro.

In terms of specifications, both models feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass protection, and a triple camera system with a 64MP primary camera. Well, the listing confirms the presence of a 5020 mAh battery with model code BM5V. In terms of connectivity, the listing confirms the presence of dual-band WiFi and NFC. Surprisingly, the Poco X6 5G seems to feature MIUI 14.0 if we go with the listing, which is quite opposite of the Poco X6 Pro 5G, which is officially teased to feature HyperOS.

As we know, the POCO X6 Pro is a rebrand of the Redmi K70E, which is currently the best-performing mid-range smartphone on AnTuTu with a score of 1.4 million+ points. So, it’s safe to say that POCO isn’t cutting any corners in the performance department.

Apart from that, the brand has also recently confirmed that the POCO X6 Pro will be the first device to launch with Xiaomi’s Android 14-based HyperOS onboard. It was expected that the recently launched Redmi Note 13 5G series will be the first device to debut with HyperOS in India, however, the brand pulled the rug from under us and launched the Note 13 series with Android 13 onboard. POCO X6 Pro’s predecessor launched with Android 12 onboard and is expected to get Android 14 eventually. The rollout is already ahead of other devices from Xiaomi’s flagship offerings and Redmi phones. 

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro (review) and Xiaomi Pad 6 (review) will be the first devices to get HyperOS soon. Unfortunately, the recently announced Redmi Note 13 series in India ships with pre-installed MIUI. 

The POCO X6 Pro 5G is already confirmed to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor. It will retain the same design as its predecessor with an elongated rectangular camera module on the back panel. The upcoming offering is teased to feature a 5000 mm2 stainless steel vapor cooling chamber for heat dissipation. 

An accidentally leaked Amazon listing of the device revealed that it will feature a 6.7-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. Poco X6 Pro, as expected, will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor, complete with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There is a 6.67-inch 1.5K LTPS display, possibly an AMOLED, with 120Hz refresh rate support. Dimensions come in at 160.5 x 74.3 x 8.3mm, with a weight of 188 grams.

The Amazon listing suggests a triple-lens rear camera system featuring a 67MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. It will run on Android 13 OS and will be backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. Finally, the listing indicates a price of AED 1,299 (~ USD 353) for the Poco X6 Pro.

Poco M6 Pro 4G specifications and price

Moving on to the M6 Pro, it will be an affordable option while still offering a 6.67-inch FullHD+ POLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.  It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99, 12GB RAM, and 512GB of storage. 

Similar to the X6 Pro, it runs on Android 13 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery with fast 67W charging. All this is warped in a body that measures 8.3mm and weighs 179 grams. The Poco M6 Pro carries a price tag of AED 899 (~ USD 245) in the UAE.

In a new report, 91Mobiles published the leaked renders of all three smartphones, revealing their design and color options.

The official-looking renders show that the Poco X6 5G will come in black, blue, and white shades, whereas the Poco X6 Pro 5G will be available in black, gray, and yellow. The report further states that both devices will be available with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of built-in storage.

Reports have claimed that the Poco X6 5G and X6 Pro 5G will be tweaked versions of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and the Redmi K70e, which are available in the Chinese market. One major difference between the Redmi Note 13 5G and the Poco X6 5G appears to be in the camera department. While the Redmi phone has a 200-megapixel main camera, its Poco variant is likely to feature a 64-megapixel primary camera.

As per a recent report, the Poco X6 Pro may support 67W fast charging. For those who don’t know, the Redmi K70e supports 90W rapid charging.

Poco M6 Pro renders

The Poco M6 Pro is said to be a modified version of the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G. The Redmi variant is said to have a 108-megapixel main camera, while the Poco phone may offer a 64-megapixel primary camera. In addition, it is expected to ship with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. The leaked renders show that the M6 Pro will be available in black, blue, and purple. While the X6 and X6 Pro are heading to India, the M6 Pro may not be released in the country.

Leaks suggest the Poco X6 could be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro. If so, we can expect a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED screen with 1.5k resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. 

The device could be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, accompanied by LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The camera setup is rumored to feature a 64MP main sensor alongside a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP additional unit.

The Poco X6 Pro, meanwhile, might be a rebadged Redmi K70E. This translates to a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with an 1800 nits peak brightness and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will come with Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

While the Poco X6 Pro is a rebrand of the Redmi K70E and could feature the same specs as the China variant,. So, it will feature a triple-rear lens setup featuring a 64 MP primary sensor with OUS, a 2 MP macro lens, and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. There will be a 16 MP front-facing camera. It will have a 5500 mAh battery with 90W fast charging.

The Poco X6 Series global launch date and availability details remain unconfirmed for now. There’s late January launch speculation for the new series; however, we have not confirmed whether the rumor will see the day of the light or not.

The rumor is further strengthened by the fact that the Poco X6 Pro has also appeared on certification websites like FCC, NBTC, IMEI, and BIS.

However, Xiaomi has not confined it officially, but the smartphone has already appeared on Thailand’s NBTC, IMEI, India’s BIS, and other certifications. The smartphone today has made it to the FCC, where some details have been unwrapped.

The listing confirms the smartphone is running HyperOS 1.0, and it will feature three different storage variants. The smartphone’s build also changes with different storage variants, here are more details

Well, this seems quite absurd that Poco is shipping Plastic Frame for its mid-range smartphones. The presence of a Plastic Frame on the Poco X6 Pro 5G seems to confirm it as the rebranded Redmi K70E, as the device also features a Plastic Frame. It is quite difficult to conclude specifications until any official confirmation arrives.

However, the Poco X6 5G recently arrived at Geekbench unveiling some information about its specifications. The smartphone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with 12GB RAM. It is running Android 13.

It will be powered by the Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC along with LPDDR5X RAM and up to UFS 4.0 storage. 

The smartphone appears to bundle a triple rear camera consisting of a 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro camera. POCO is planning on unveiling the POCO X6 Pro 5G and M6 Pro 4G in the global market soon. A recent certification sighting hints at an imminent launch of the two smartphones in the overseas regions. So here are all the details.

POCO X6 Pro 5G & POCO M6 Pro 4G visit SDPPI

For those unaware, the Chinese smartphone maker’s upcoming POCO X6 Pro 5G could be a rebranded Redmi K70e. This model was recently spotted on the NBTC certification as well. Similarly, the POCO M6 Pro 4G also surfaced on the NBTC and is believed to be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G Model. Now, both devices are listed on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification, which hints at their global release.

The online listing revealed that the POCO M6 Pro 4G and POCO X6 Pro 5G was spotted on SDPPI, carrying the model number 2312FPCA6G and 2311DRK48G respectively. However, the database didn’t reveal any finer details like its specifications. Apart from the NBTC sighting, the X6 Pro was even sighted on the BIS platform, which confirms the Indian availability. Meanwhile, the POCO M6 Pro 4G has even surfaced on the FCC platform.

The Poco X6 series could be one of the smartphones to debut in the first quarter of 2024. The Poco X6 Neo 5G (model number: 2312FRAFDI) was recently approved by India’s BIS certification platform, and the Poco X6 5G (model number: 23122PCD1G / 23122PCD1I) has been approved by some certification platforms like Singapore’s IMDA, Europe’s EEC, and India’s BIS. Now, the Poco X6 Pro 5G has bagged approval from the NBTC certification platform in Thailand, as per a report by TheTechOutlook.

Poco X6 Pro 5G NBTC certified

The NBTC certification of the Poco X6 Pro 5G reveals that its model number is 2311DRK48G. This device has been spotted previously in the database of other certification platforms, such as IMDA, EEC, and TKDN (Indonesia). The India variant of the phone, which has also bagged BIS certification, has the 2311DRK48I model number. These certifications reveal that the Poco X6 Pro 5G will be a rebadged version of the Dimensity 8300-Ultra powered Redmi K70e, which will debut later today in China.

The NBTC certification debunks rumors that claimed that the Redmi K70e will be rebranded as Poco F6 5G in the global market. In August, Poco revealed through the POCO Partners SEA Forum in Thailand that it will be launching a flagship phone featuring the Dimensity 9200+. It is likely that this device, which seems to be the POCO F6 5G, could be based on the Redmi K60 Ultra, which packs the same chip.

As far as other Poco X6 series phones are concerned, it is speculated that the Poco X6 Neo 5G will be a tweaked version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro 5G available in the Chinese market. Instead of the 108-megapixel camera available on the Note 13, the X6 Neo is said to feature a 64-megapixel primary camera. The Poco X6 5G, on the other hand, is said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G available in China.
