OnePlus is bringing a new update for the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 8T smartphones. The new update adds a December 2023 security patch for both smartphones. However, there are some additional enhancements and features for the OnePlus 11. The updates for both smartphones are currently rolling out to the Indian variants. As per the new leak, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will come with Google Tensor G3 coupled with Titan M2 security chip. The Pixel 8 will feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ OLED, offering 60-120Hz refresh rate and 2000 nits of maximum brightness. It will be protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The smartphone will further support 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage support. It will bundle a 4,575 mAh battery with support for up to 27W fast charging and Qi-certified wireless charging up to 18W. As revealed earlier and confirmed once again, the Pixel 8 will come with a dual-rear camera sensor consisting of a 50MP octa PD wide lens coupled with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS), and a 12MP ultrawide sensor.

Meanwhile, the Pro model will ship with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display offering a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and up to 2000 nits maximum brightness. It is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. In camera, the smartphone houses a 50MP Octa PD wide camera, a 48MP primary lens with 5x Optical Zoom, and a 48MP ultra-wide unit . Both the wide and ultrawide sensors support OIS and EIS. The smartphone appears to launch with up to 8GB LPDDR5X RAM up to 1TB UFS 3.1 storage for the US, and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage for the Rest of the World.

Both smartphones will bundle the same 10.5MP selfie camera. In connectivity, there will be WiFi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, and NFC support for both smartphones.

A tipster going by the name Snoopy (@_snoopytech_) on Twitter has revealed that the upcoming premium smartphones from Google will offer four years of operating system upgrades and five years of security patches.

This means that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which will come pre-installed with the Android 12 operating system, will also be getting the upcoming Android 13, 14, 15, and 16 versions, with security patches guaranteed till 2026.

If it turns out to be true, then it is a major advantage for the users of the Pixel 6 series given that most smartphone manufacturers only promise up to two major OS version updates, which basically means two years of support.

It appears that this is becoming possible for the company as it will be using its own Tensor chipset for smartphones. Prior to this, Google smartphones were powered by Qualcomm’s processor, which may have created an issue for the search engine giant to guarantee a smooth transition to newer OS versions.

Apple has started a wave of update rollouts for its iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS software platforms.
