<p>Although a new tech,<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/17/wifi-7-vs-wifi-6e-upgrade-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Wi-Fi 7 </a>has been around long enough now that it&#8217;s not a novelty in 2026. Subsequently, WiFi 7 routers are also making their way to the mainstream scene with claims of faster speeds and improved reliability.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Wi-Fi 7, officially known as IEEE 802.11be, brings a handful of meaningful technical upgrades. It supports wider channels, higher modulation, and something called Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which lets devices connect across multiple bands at the same time.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="922" height="817" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/aa0727fc-f9f9-4d45-833d-2f6f02f7bb5a.webp?x10805" alt="Xiaomi WiFi 7 router BE 3600" class="wp-image-601427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/aa0727fc-f9f9-4d45-833d-2f6f02f7bb5a.webp 922w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/aa0727fc-f9f9-4d45-833d-2f6f02f7bb5a-300x266.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/aa0727fc-f9f9-4d45-833d-2f6f02f7bb5a-768x681.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/aa0727fc-f9f9-4d45-833d-2f6f02f7bb5a-696x617.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/aa0727fc-f9f9-4d45-833d-2f6f02f7bb5a-474x420.webp 474w" sizes="(max-width: 922px) 100vw, 922px" /></figure></div>

<p>In theory, this should reduce latency and improve stability when networks are busy. So if you’re still on Wi-Fi 5 or an early Wi-Fi 6 router, moving to Wi-Fi 7 can feel like a noticeable upgrade.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Here are some of the more sensible Wi-Fi 7 routers you can buy in 2026. We try to break them by category and use case, rather than raw speed claims. Let’s go…</p>

<h3><strong>What Wi-Fi 7 Actually Changes at Home</strong></h3>

<p>It’s easy to get lost in marketing numbers, so it’s worth grounding expectations early. Wi-Fi 7’s headline speeds of up to 30Gbps are obviously not realistic for home internet connections.</p>

<p>However, where Wi-Fi 7 might make a difference is consistency. MLO allows devices to use multiple bands at once, which can help when one band is congested or unstable. The wider 320MHz channels in the 6GHz band also help in areas where interference is minimal, though its range is even more limited than the 5GHz band.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The other benefit is longevity. Wi-Fi 7 routers are likely to remain relevant for longer as laptops, phones, and consoles will start widely adopting the standard in 2026.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>ASUS RT-BE96U</strong></h3>

<p>ASUS’s RT-BE96U is our pick for the best overall performance router. It’s a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router with strong overall performance, a generous selection of ports, and a full suite of security and management tools you expect from Asus.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The hardware includes multi-gig Ethernet ports, including 10Gbps options, which makes sense if you’re running a NAS, a desktop workstation, or faster-than-gigabit internet.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/ASUS-RT-BE96U.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-721099" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/ASUS-RT-BE96U.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/ASUS-RT-BE96U-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/ASUS-RT-BE96U-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/ASUS-RT-BE96U-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/ASUS-RT-BE96U-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>As you know, the router operates on all three 6 GHz, 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz frequency bands. The 6GHz option gives the best speed and reduced interference, and it also supports Multi-Link Operation (MLO) tech.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Moreover, the RT-BE96U comes with features like parental controls, traffic monitoring, and security tools, all without a subscription service. It’s a bit aggressive to look at with those eight antennas, but that’s Asus style for routers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The downside is that it’s still a large, expensive router. If your home is small or your internet usage is basic, much of what it offers might go unused.</p>

<h3><strong>TP-Link Archer BE800 and BE900</strong></h3>

<p>TP-Link’s Archer BE series takes a slightly different approach. Both the BE800 and BE900 focus on offering a mix of strong wireless performance and flexible wired connectivity.</p>

<p>The BE800 is arguably the more practical of the two. It offers tri-band Wi-Fi 7, dual 10Gbps ports, and multiple 2.5GbE LAN ports. That makes it useful not just as a wireless router, but as the center of a home network where wired connections still matter.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/TP-Link-Archer-BE800-WiFi-7-router.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-721100" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/TP-Link-Archer-BE800-WiFi-7-router.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/TP-Link-Archer-BE800-WiFi-7-router-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/TP-Link-Archer-BE800-WiFi-7-router-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/TP-Link-Archer-BE800-WiFi-7-router-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/TP-Link-Archer-BE800-WiFi-7-router-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>TP-Link Archer BE800</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The BE900 pushes speeds higher, at least on spec sheets, but the real-world difference between the two could be limited unless you have a very specific setup. Both routers are large, heavy, and clearly designed to be stationary fixtures rather than something you tuck out of sight.</p>

<p>TP-Link’s software is simpler than ASUS’s, which can be either a benefit or a limitation depending on how much control you want.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>TP-Link Archer GE400</strong></h3>

<p>However, not everyone wants to spend flagship-level money on a router, especially when Wi-Fi 7 devices are still becoming common. The Archer GE400 exists for that middle ground.</p>

<p>It’s a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router, which means it skips the 6GHz band you’d get with tri-band models. And while that limits total capacity, it’s good for apartments or smaller homes. You still get Wi-Fi 7 features like MLO, along with 2.5GbE ports and generally solid performance.</p>

<p>The Archer GE400 also features customizable RGB lighting on its exterior. You even get a dedicated Panel that shows network status, router vitals, and controls to accelerate network performance for gamers, and manage RGB lighting.</p>

<h3><strong>Netgear Orbi 370</strong></h3>

<p>Mesh systems are where Wi-Fi 7 pricing becomes harder to justify. However, the Orbi 370 is one of the few mesh networks that brings costs down to something closer to mainstream territory.</p>

<p>It’s not the fastest Wi-Fi 7 mesh system available in the market. But what Netgear focuses on is to provide reliable coverage across larger homes with support for modern features like MLO and 2.5GbE ports. The Netgear Orbi 370 comes in a three-pack station, enough to tackle dead zones on at least two floors.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Netgear-Orbi-370-best-WiFi-7-router.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-721101" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Netgear-Orbi-370-best-WiFi-7-router.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Netgear-Orbi-370-best-WiFi-7-router-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Netgear-Orbi-370-best-WiFi-7-router-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Netgear-Orbi-370-best-WiFi-7-router-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Netgear-Orbi-370-best-WiFi-7-router-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Orbi’s trade-off, however, is peak performance. It doesn’t support the 6GHz band, which means it&#8217;s also a dual-band WiFi 7 system.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Netgear also sells more expensive Orbi systems for people who want fewer compromises. The Orbi 770 and 970 offer better throughput, stronger backhaul options, and more multi-gig port support.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Orbi 970, in particular, feels designed for homes with very fast internet connections and a lot of devices. It performs well, but it also costs enough that you need a clear reason to buy it. For many households, the difference between it and a cheaper mesh system won’t be obvious in daily use.</p>

<h3><strong>Choosing a Wi-Fi 7 Router in 2026</strong></h3>

<p>So if you’re still determined to buy a WiFi 7 router, make sure not to just go after speed. A change this big should also bring quality-of-life improvements that actually make a difference.</p>

<p>So if your current router struggles with coverage or device load, upgrading can make sense. If everything already works fine, spending on Wi-Fi 7 might not be a good option unless you absolutely want it.</p>

<p>The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI is the first router to feature a built-in neural processing unit. It runs on a quad-core CPU with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. This setup allows it to handle heavier workloads and run Docker applications directly. The integrated system provides dedicated resources for AI tasks and automation without needing a separate computer or server.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="894" height="503" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1920x1080.jpg?x10805" alt="ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI" class="wp-image-713888" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1920x1080.jpg 894w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1920x1080-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1920x1080-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1920x1080-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1920x1080-746x420.jpg 746w" sizes="(max-width: 894px) 100vw, 894px" /></figure></div>

<p>The router includes an integrated Docker Engine with CLI and Compose support. It can run containerized applications such as AdGuard, Frigate, or smart home assistants directly from the router. This allows users to manage automation, AI services, and IoT devices in one place. It can filter ads, improve browsing safety, and act as a central hub for smart devices.</p>

<p>WiFi Insight is another key feature. It scans for interference across all WiFi and non-WiFi channels, shows clear reports on network health, and automatically adjusts to keep connections stable. AI Game Boost adds intelligent traffic management by detecting devices and prioritizing data in real time. In ASUS’s internal tests, AI Game Boost reduced latency by up to 34 percent.</p>

<h2>TP-Link Archer GE400 Specifications</h2>

<p>The Archer GE400 delivers combined wireless speeds of up to 6.5 Gbps, with 5765 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 688 Mbps on 2.4GHz. It uses Wi-Fi 7 technologies such as 4K-QAM and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) to improve speed, reduce latency, and provide more stable connections in busy network environments.</p>

<p>TP-Link equips the GE400 with six high-performance external antennas and beamforming technology to deliver wide coverage and stable connectivity across large areas. It features a quad-core processor that manages network traffic and optimizes performance in real time. The router provides two 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, three 1GbE ports, and a 5Gbps USB-A port for file sharing or media storage.</p>

<h2>ZTE XunTian BE3600Pro Specifications</h2>

<p>The BE3600Pro is powered by ZTE’s fourth-generation self-developed enterprise-grade routing chipset. It uses a dual-core CPU alongside a quad-core NPU to handle bidirectional data forwarding efficiently. The main control chip and Wi-Fi chip operate independently, keeping standby power consumption as low as 0.8W. ZTE claims this translates to annual electricity costs of just around 4 yuan ($0.56).</p>

<p>The router includes one 2.5G Ethernet port and three Gigabit ports, allowing full utilization of 2000 Mbps broadband connections. It supports dual WAN input, load balancing, and failover to maintain a stable network at all times. For households with limited wiring, it supports IPTV multiplexing, letting one cable deliver both internet and IPTV signals.</p>

<p>ZTE has upgraded its antenna design with a “2+3” intelligent layout, powered by AI algorithms that actively reduce interference and ensure consistent coverage. The company says this setup improves signal uniformity by 7.43% compared to standard routers. The BE3600Pro supports dual-band Wi-Fi over 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. It leverages Wi-Fi 7 features like Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and 4K QAM to deliver speeds up to 3.57 Gbps, around 49% faster than typical Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 routers.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="800" height="800" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/ZTE-XunTian-BE3600Pro-1.jpeg?x10805" alt="ZTE XunTian BE3600Pro" class="wp-image-701964" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/ZTE-XunTian-BE3600Pro-1.jpeg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/ZTE-XunTian-BE3600Pro-1-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/ZTE-XunTian-BE3600Pro-1-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/ZTE-XunTian-BE3600Pro-1-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/ZTE-XunTian-BE3600Pro-1-696x696.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/ZTE-XunTian-BE3600Pro-1-420x420.jpeg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure></div>

<p>Thermal management is handled by a larger heatsink that increases the surface area for heat dissipation by 18%. ZTE has also integrated the router with its Smart Life app, offering AI-assisted placement guidance, parental controls, and blacklist settings.</p>

<p>The router supports one-click Mesh networking with other ZTE models and is compatible with third-party brands. The built-in AI system can automatically assign the best node per device, though users can manually lock devices to preferred access points.</p>

<h2>TP-LINK TL-7DR6430 Specifications</h2>

<p>The TL-7DR6430 delivers a combined wireless speed of up to 6430Mbps. The 5GHz band uses the Wi-Fi 7 standard and supports 4&#215;4 MIMO at 5764Mbps, while the 2.4GHz band supports Wi-Fi 6 with 2&#215;2 MIMO at 574Mbps. TP-LINK claims this performance is on par with BE7200-class routers.</p>

<p>The router includes one 2.5G WAN/LAN port and three Gigabit Ethernet ports. The 2.5G port supports broadband speeds of up to 2000Mbps and can also be used for NAS setups and high-speed internal file transfers. It supports dual WAN, load balancing, and link aggregation.</p>

<p>TP-LINK has equipped the router with a newly developed “pixel antenna” system, which it says was optimized using AI algorithms. <p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nokia/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nokia</a> has expanded its Wi-Fi 7 product lineup with two new consumer-focused routers, the Beacon 4 and Beacon 9. Both models aim to bring high-speed wireless connectivity to more households, especially as multi-gigabit fiber networks continue to roll out globally.</p>

<h2>Nokia Beacon 4 &amp; Beacon 9 Specifications</h2>

<p>The Beacon 4 is the more compact option in the lineup. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi 7 across the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies using 2&#215;2 MIMO. Wireless speeds peak at 3.6Gbps, and the router offers coverage of up to 250 square meters. It supports 160MHz channel bandwidth and includes one 2.5GbE WAN port and two 1GbE LAN ports.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-4-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="Nokia Beacon 4" class="wp-image-690032" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-4-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-4-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-4-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-4-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-4-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-4-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-4.jpg 1376w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The higher-end Beacon 9 introduces a tri-band architecture that adds support for the 6GHz band. It increases maximum throughput to 9.4Gbps and supports wider 320MHz channels, a feature still rare among non-flagship routers. It offers coverage for up to 280 square meters and includes one 2.5GbE WAN port, one 2.5GbE LAN port, and one additional 1GbE LAN port.</p>

<p>Both the Beacon 4 and Beacon 9 embrace a minimalist Nordic design that emphasizes simplicity and clean lines. Nokia has opted for a neutral aesthetic that fits discreetly into modern living spaces without drawing attention. The Beacon 4, measuring 126.5 x 160 x 43mm, has a compact form factor that makes it ideal for shelf or desk placement. The Beacon 9 is slightly bulkier at 173.5 x 140 x 71.5mm but maintains a smooth matte finish and subtle curves that help it blend into its surroundings.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-9-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="Nokia Beacon 9" class="wp-image-690033" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-9-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-9-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-9-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-9-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-9-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-9-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nokia-Beacon-9.jpg 1376w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Both routers also run on Nokia’s Corteca software platform. Corteca allows telecom operators to manage home networks remotely, push software updates, and deploy new features through the Corteca App Store. It is designed to reduce service calls and improve network visibility for providers.</p>

<p>Nokia has not revealed retail pricing, as both Beacon 4 and Beacon 9 are expected to ship bundled with carrier internet plans. The new models join the previously announced Beacon 19 and Beacon 24, giving Nokia a complete portfolio of Wi-Fi 7 routers aimed at various use cases and budgets.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a> is expanding its lineup of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/wi-fi-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">WiFi 7 </a>routers with the new BE 3600, set to launch on January 30th in China. While the official price remains under wraps, pre-reservations are now open which shows the price will not be more than 299 yuan (around $43).</p>

<p>This makes the BE 3600 Xiaomi&#8217;s most affordable Wi-Fi 7 offering, targeting budget-conscious users eager to experience the latest wireless standard.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="497" height="628" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/XIaomi-WiFi-7-Router.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-597695" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/XIaomi-WiFi-7-Router.jpg 497w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/XIaomi-WiFi-7-Router-237x300.jpg 237w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/XIaomi-WiFi-7-Router-332x420.jpg 332w" sizes="(max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px" /></figure></div>

<p>Xiaomi’s official &#8220;Smart Ecosystem&#8221; Weibo handle also teased some of the specifications of the device. It reveals that the BE 3600 boasts a 2.5Gbps high-speed network port, a 4-core chip, and IoT connectivity feature to help you manage your smart home devices. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="718" height="628" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-BE-3600-WiFi-7-Router-teaser.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-597696" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-BE-3600-WiFi-7-Router-teaser.jpg 718w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-BE-3600-WiFi-7-Router-teaser-300x262.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-BE-3600-WiFi-7-Router-teaser-696x609.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-BE-3600-WiFi-7-Router-teaser-480x420.jpg 480w" sizes="(max-width: 718px) 100vw, 718px" /></figure></div>

<p>This marks the fourth Wi-Fi 7 router in Xiaomi&#8217;s arsenal, joining the likes of the BE 6500 Pro, BE 7000, and the 10 Gigabit router. Among these, the BE 6500 Pro was launched last October with an initial price of 699 yuan (around $100).</p>

<p>The BE 6500 Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm 4-core A53 1.5GHz CPU and 1GB of memory. It utilizes a full 2.5Gbps network port and supports dual WAN and LAN port aggregation, pushing speeds up to 5Gbps. This translates to faster downloads, seamless streaming, and lag-free gaming.</p>

<p>It’s worth noting that Wi-Fi 7, officially known as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11be" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">IEEE 802.11be</a>, is the successor to Wi-Fi 6, marked by the &#8220;be&#8221; in the model names (similar to &#8220;AX&#8221; for Wi-Fi 6). So most of the routers compatible with the new standard will have BE in their name. </p>

<p>The WiFi 7 standard boasts impressive features like 320MHz bandwidth, 4096-QAM modulation, and cutting-edge technologies like MRU (Multiple Resource Units) and MLO (Multi-link operation).&nbsp;</p>

<p>This translates to typical speeds around 30Gbps, with peaks exceeding 40Gbps—a massive gain compared to Wi-Fi 6&#8217;s 9.6Gbps peak and Wi-Fi 5&#8217;s measly 3.5Gbps. That&#8217;s up to four times faster than Wi-Fi 6!</p>

This upgrade promises users faster network speeds, lower latency, and enhanced anti-interference capabilities, marking a significant leap into the new era of Wi-Fi technology.</p>

<h2>Wi-Fi 7 is not only about speed, but also about a systematic experience leap!</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="726" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/002p2Zyzly1hkiohz0di9j61o02807wh02-1.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-587986" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/002p2Zyzly1hkiohz0di9j61o02807wh02-1.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/002p2Zyzly1hkiohz0di9j61o02807wh02-1-300x213.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/002p2Zyzly1hkiohz0di9j61o02807wh02-1-768x545.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/002p2Zyzly1hkiohz0di9j61o02807wh02-1-696x493.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/002p2Zyzly1hkiohz0di9j61o02807wh02-1-592x420.jpg 592w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/002p2Zyzly1hkiohz0di9j61o02807wh02-1-100x70.jpg 100w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi announces Wi-Fi 7 upgrade for Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Xiaomi 14, and Xiaomi 13</figcaption></figure></div>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/wi-fi-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wi-Fi 7</a>, also known as IEEE 802.11be – Extremely High Throughput, represents the next generation of Wi-Fi standards. Building upon the foundation of Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7 introduces 320 MHz bandwidth, 4096-QAM, Multi-RU (Resource Unit), multi-link operation, and multi-AP (Access Point) cooperation. These advancements result in higher data transmission rates and reduced latency compared to Wi-Fi 6.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="557" height="163" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Screenshot-2023-12-05-102333-1.png?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-587994" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Screenshot-2023-12-05-102333-1.png 557w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Screenshot-2023-12-05-102333-1-300x88.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px" /></figure></div>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/wi-fi-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wi-Fi 7</a> is expected to have a throughput of up to 23 Gbps, which is about three times that of Wi-Fi 6. This substantial increase in speed holds the promise of delivering seamless connectivity and an improved user experience across various applications, from streaming high-definition content to online gaming and other bandwidth-intensive tasks.</p>

<p>Xiaomi&#8217;s official announcement emphasizes that the Wi-Fi 7 upgrade is not only about speed but also signifies a holistic experience leap. The technology introduces multi-way connection capabilities, dynamic optimization, lower latency, and stronger anti-interference measures. These advancements collectively contribute to a more robust and efficient Wi-Fi experience.</p>

<p>As Xiaomi propels its flagship phones into the Wi-Fi 7 era, users can anticipate a transformative shift in their connectivity experience. The upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 extends to the company&#8217;s routers as well. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/12/11/xiaomi-10-gigabit-router-launched/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi 10 Gigabit router</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/27/xiaomi-be7000-wifi-7-router/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi BE7000 Wi-Fi 7 Router</a> have commenced firmware upgrades to incorporate Wi-Fi 7 features. Version 1.1.6 is now available for the Xiaomi 10 Gigabit router.</p>

<p>Moreover, the router incorporates four PA+LNA high-performance signal amplifiers, expanding coverage by 40% and increasing transmission rates by 30% over medium and long distances, according to <a href="https://news.mydrivers.com/1/944/944706.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fast Technology</a>.</p>

<h1><b>Top Stories From Last Week</b></h1>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Microsoft to acquire Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Out of nowhere, Microsoft made a huge announcement on January 18. The company has </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/19/microsoft-acquires-activision-blizzard-game-studio/"><span style="font-weight: 400">decided</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> to acquire the struggling game studio Activision Blizzard for a whopping $68.7 billion.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-438467 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Microsoft-Gaming-Featured-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="Microsoft acquires Activision Blizzard" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Microsoft-Gaming-Featured-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Microsoft-Gaming-Featured-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Microsoft-Gaming-Featured-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Microsoft-Gaming-Featured-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Microsoft-Gaming-Featured-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Microsoft-Gaming-Featured-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Microsoft-Gaming-Featured.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">For the unaware, Activision Blizzard is the studio behind some of the popular franchises like Call of Duty, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Candy Crush, and others. If this deal goes through, it will be the biggest acquisition of both Microsoft and in the gaming industry.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Unsurprisingly, the titles from the studio will be offered on Xbox/PC Game Pass. Having said that, it’s not known how Microsoft is planning to solve Activision Blizard’s sexual harassment and discrimination issues.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Samsung quietly announces Exynos 2200 flagship mobile SoC</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Samsung was supposed to unveil its new generation of premium mobile SoC called Exynos 2200 on January 11. However, that didn’t happen. But anyway, the company did </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/18/samsung-exynos-2200-flagship-chipset-unveiled/"><span style="font-weight: 400">announce</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> the chipset quietly on January 18.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-439455 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Samsung-Exynos-2200-Featured-A-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Exynos 2200" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Samsung-Exynos-2200-Featured-A-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Samsung-Exynos-2200-Featured-A-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Samsung-Exynos-2200-Featured-A-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Samsung-Exynos-2200-Featured-A-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Samsung-Exynos-2200-Featured-A-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Samsung-Exynos-2200-Featured-A-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Samsung-Exynos-2200-Featured-A-1920x1080.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Interestingly, the press release does not properly mention the specifications of the latest chipset. The only takeaway is that the chip features an AMD RDNA 2 GPU called Xclipse with support for ray tracing and variable rate shading.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The company is yet to officially disclose the SoC’s improvements in performance over its predecessor.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event announced for the next Galaxy S</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Samsung has officially </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/21/samsung-confirms-galaxy-unpacked-event/"><span style="font-weight: 400">confirmed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> to hold the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 even in February. The company has also revealed that it will be debuting the ‘most noteworthy S’ devices ever created.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Though the company has not disclosed, we all know that it will be unveiling the Galaxy S22 lineup.
