Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2 flagship has been making rounds on the internet for the past few weeks, but it looks like we might have a final release date of the device. According to the latest leak from Weibo, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is going to launch on September 14. That’s quite possible since we have been hearing that the phone’s launch is pretty close and September 14 is just around a week away, i.e. next Wednesday. However, let me remind you that Xiaomi is yet to confirm a release date for its new device.

There are also rumors about a September 24 release date for the device, however, it’s a Saturday. Chinese companies including Xiaomi usually never keep flagship launch conference on Saturdays, which is why September 24 release date is unlikely.

So, what can we expect on the new flagship device? Well, earlier rumors have already painted a very thorough picture of the upcoming smartphone. It is said that the Mi Note 2 could come in two different versions, one powered by Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM and the other powered by the even more powerful Snapdragon 821 with 6GB of RAM on board.

As for the display, there should be at least one version with a 5.7-inch 2K curved display. At the back, the flagship should get dual cameras as well, most likely a 13MP dual camera setup. Like the Mi5 and the Redmi Pro, expect the fingerprint sensor to be located on the front.

Pricing won’t be cheap, at least that’s what we have heard from an analyst. But considering this is Xiaomi we are talking about, we can expect the phone to be priced around 2999 Yuan (~$450), which would be quite aggressive for its specs.
