Boult Z40 Ultra

Boult Z40 Ultra Pricing and Availability

The Boult Z40 Ultra was announced for a price tag of 1,999 INR (roughly 24 US Dollars). But the brand is offering the wireless earphones for a special launch price of just 1,799 INR (roughly 21 US Dollars) from its official Indian website. Although, you can find it listed on Amazon India as well. It is available in multiple color options, namely Black, Beige, and Metallic.

Boult Z40 Ultra Specs

It features a design similar to the Apple AirPods Pro with an in-ear style with a stem. The earbuds are housed in a pebble shaped charging case. Here’s your first look at the Google Pixel Fold 2 3D renders

Earlier this month, a sneak peek of Google’s upcoming Pixel Fold 2 leaked, but it wasn’t very clear. However, new 3D renders from YouTuber TT Technology provides a much clearer look at the device. However, do note that this is only a 3D representation based on the earlier leak and may not reflect the actual device.

In these renders, we can see a noticeable change in the design of the camera module. The Pixel Fold 2 will have a rectangular module rather than the bar-style design of the original model.

The camera sensors are housed within a pill-shaped cutout on this module, and there’s also an LED light that extends slightly to the right. Additionally, the device has squared-off edges.

Regarding the camera setup, the Pixel Fold 2 is expected to feature a quad-camera system, including primary, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses. There’s speculation about the purpose of the fourth sensor, with possibilities like a periscope telephoto lens or an infrared/spectral/ToF sensor.

Moreover, the Pixel Fold 2 is said to be powered by the upcoming Tensor G4 chipset which means Google will be skipping the Tensor G3 chipset for its foldable. This may also change the launch timeline for the smartphone.

Typically, Google unveils new Tensor chipsets at its fall hardware event. But if the Pixel Fold 2 is launched at this year’s I/O event, it might not feature the newer Tensor G4.

However, if I/O passes without a Pixel Fold 2 launch, skipping Tensor G3 isn’t out of the question. It would make sense for Google’s most expensive device to have its latest chip inside, but this is currently just a rumor.

At the moment, we lack details about the Pixel Fold 2, but we can expect rumors to start circulating about the device soon.

Behold OpenAI’s New Launch – Sora, which can Generate Stunning Videos from Text Prompts

This might be OpenAI‘s biggest announcement since the launch of ChatGPT. An AI-powered video generator that creates videos from merely a couple of sentences? Meet Sora, OpenAI’s latest brainchild, which is bound to change the way videos will be created on the internet forever. And yes, it would not be wrong to say that Sora is crazy good from the examples shown so far.

Sora holds immense potential for filmmakers, designers and artists.

Sora can make videos up to a minute long, focusing on keeping the video close to what the user asks for. Right now, Sora is being tested by experts looking for any potential issues, and it’s also in the hands of visual artists, designers, and filmmakers. Their feedback will help improve Sora, especially for creative work.

OpenAI Sora

Sora stands out because it can handle complex scenes with many characters, different movements, and detailed backgrounds. It gets what the user wants and how those things should look and act in the real world. The tool is smart with language, which lets it create videos with characters that show strong emotions. It can even keep the same characters and style across different parts of a video.

However, Sora isn’t perfect. It might get physics wrong in complicated scenes or miss the mark on cause and effect. It might also mix up details like left and right or have trouble with exact descriptions of events happening over time.

OpenAI is sharing Sora’s development early to get feedback and give a peek at what AI might do next. A lot of security protocols will be put into place it seems, because technology like this is prone to misuse in the lightest sense of the word. Also, keep in mind that it won’t be cheap to produce longer videos, since this will require A LOT of processing power from OpenAI’s servers. Regardless, one thing is for sure -the future of generative AI is more than just exciting – it is inviting!

By the way, if you are wondering how to use Sora AI, know that the access is still limited and it will take some time for the rollout.

Bose Ultra Open Earbuds now on sale in the US for $299 via Amazon

At CES 2023, Bose introduced the Ultra Open Earbuds, which initially went on sale via American fashion and lifestyle brand Kith as a special edition. Now, the regular variants of these earbuds are finally available to buy through retailers like Amazon for $299 in the US.

Designed to let users enjoy music while remaining aware of their surroundings, the Ultra Open Earbuds come with a cuff-shaped design that’s both comfortable for all-day wear and stylish enough to complement accessories like hats, glasses, or jewelry. This design strategy sets them apart as more than just earbuds; they’re a fashion statement.

Bose Ultra Open Earbuds

Bose has equipped the Ultra Open Earbuds with the high-quality drivers used in the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, ensuring premium sound. They support Bose Immersive Audio, which, when activated, reduces battery life from 7.5 hours to 4.5 hours.

The earbuds are rated IPX4, indicating they are not ideal for exercise due to their water resistance rating. They feature Bluetooth 5.3 and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive connectivity for a reliable and high-quality connection. However, at launch, they lack Bluetooth Multipoint support, meaning they cannot connect to multiple devices simultaneously.

In related news, Bose has recently launched its QuietComfort Ultra headphones for Indian customers. These headphones debuted globally back in September featuring three audio modes, namely Quiet Mode, Aware Mode, and Immersion Mode as well as a 24-hour battery life.

Apple’s foldable iPhone/iPad: Progress made, but release hangs in the balance

The saga of Apple‘s foldable iPhone continues, with new information suggesting both progress and hurdles on the mysterious device. While competitors like Samsung and Huawei have become established players in the foldable market, Apple’s long-awaited entry remains shrouded in mystery.

Foldable iPhone Mockup

Apple’s Foldable Phone Development

According to Weibo tipster Fixed Focus Digital, Apple is indeed actively developing its foldable phone, even going so far as to dismantle competitor devices for analysis. However, the report throws a wrench in expectations by revealing delays due to “unsatisfactory results in screen testing.” This indicates Apple’s uncompromising standards, potentially delaying the device further.

Apple foldable iPhone iPad rumors

While competitors race to release new foldable iterations, Apple appears unfazed. Its dominance in the traditional smartphone market, bolstered by the recent success of the Apple Vision Pro, allows the company to play a patient hand. For Apple, a foldable might be more of a strategic diversification than a core necessity. They don’t need to rush into a market they haven’t perfected.

According to earlier reports, Apple is considering two prototypes: the first is a clamshell phone like the Galaxy Z Flip, while the other is an inward-folding iPad with an 8-inch screen. Most experts believe Apple will go for the larger form factor due to its thicker design which addresses fewer durability concerns.

The report also highlights Apple’s potential advantage despite the delay. Years of experience with high-resolution displays could translate well to foldables, allowing them to leapfrog the existing competition in terms of quality.

So, when can we expect to see the foldable iPhones or iPads? While rumors previously pointed to 2025, the latest leak suggests a potential delay. The Information and The Elec now predicts a 2026 launch, suggesting Apple won’t compromise on its signature quality standards.

TCL’s New 120Hz OLED AR Glasses Offer a Vision Pro Experience Without the Cost

Many of us know TCL for its smart TVs, but the company’s reach is expanding. They recently launched the 505 smartphone (featuring a 6.75-inch 90Hz display and Helio G36 SoC). However, their latest product isn’t a TV, phone, or tablet. Responding to the growing AR/VR trend, TCL has introduced their new Vision Pro AR glasses, equipped with 120Hz OLED screens. Here are the details…

TCL Launches New AR Glasses with 120Hz OLED Display

Apple’s $3,500 Vision Pro aims to reshape the mixed reality market, but affordable alternatives continue to emerge. One such option is TCL’s new augmented reality glasses. The company, already familiar with this space through its Nxtwear S AR glasses, now introduces the Nxtwear S Plus as its successor.

TCL Nxtwear S Plus

This is an affordable product that doesn’t offer the power of an M2 chip. As a result, it’s limited in its standalone capabilities. Instead, connect it to a laptop or phone via USB-C to enjoy its built-in OLED screens, which simulate a 215-inch screen six meters away. The TCL Nxtwear S Plus boasts a 1920 x 1080 resolution for 2D visuals and an impressive 3840 x 1080 resolution for 3D content.

Recognizing the importance of brightness for a seamless augmented reality experience, TCL has increased the brightness to 600 nits, ensuring a clear blend of the virtual and real worlds. The dual displays also now have a max refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Certainly, price is a major factor when considering electronics. The TCL Nxtwear S Plus costs $399. As a relatively new technology, higher prices are expected. However, for just $100 more, the Meta Quest 3 might be a compelling alternative. Ultimately, the best choice for you depends on your needs

TikTok’s Native App for the Apple Vision Pro is Here, and it Looks Clean!

TikTok has just released a new app for Apple‘s Vision Pro headset, bringing its popular video platform into the world of augmented reality. Now, users can enjoy TikTok in a way that feels familiar but also makes the most of the Vision Pro’s capabilities.

The layout is very similar to the mobile layout, but with additional windows!

The layout of the app will remind you a lot of using TikTok on a phone, with videos playing vertically and buttons for liking, commenting, and sharing right there. But, thanks to the extra space on the Vision Pro, TikTok has made it easier to see comments and creator info without them getting in the way of the video.

TikTok

A while back, TikTok shared some news about creating this app specifically for the Vision Pro. It’s designed to let people watch videos either with a view of the real world around them or in a totally virtual space, like on the moon. Plus, it’s made to work well with other apps on the headset.

While TikTok is diving into augmented reality, other big names in streaming are being more cautious. Disney is all in, offering movies in 3D for Vision Pro users, and other services like Amazon Prime Video are on board too. Netflix and YouTube, however, aren’t rushing to join in. They’re sticking to the basics, suggesting users watch through the browser, though YouTube might be thinking about making an app in the future.

Apple Watch Saves the Life of Yet Another Senior Citizen in the UK, Find Out How!

Tony Jauncey, an 82-year-old man from Kidderminster, UK, found a lifesaver in his Christmas gift, an Apple Watch, after being hit by a car on January 19, 2024. The incident, which took place at a painted roundabout intersection, left him with significant injuries, including a broken collarbone and cracked ribs.

He was unable to move or cancel the alert, which led to the prompt action by the watch

Jauncey was crossing the street to get to his car parked at a local supermarket when a car, not adhering to the roundabout rules, struck him. Despite the common belief that roundabouts are safer, this unfortunate event proves that accidents can still happen.

apple-watch-series-6-blood-oxygen-wrist

The moment he was hit, Jauncey’s Apple Watch kicked into action. It detected his fall and automatically asked if he needed to call emergency services. Unable to move or cancel the alert, the watch called for help on its own. This quick response brought the needed assistance to Jauncey at a critical time.

The driver involved in the accident stopped immediately to help, and, luckily, three off-duty nurses were close by to offer first aid until the emergency services arrived. This collective effort, along with the smartwatch’s timely alert, played a vital role in Jauncey’s survival and recovery. We have seen countless instances of how smartwatches contribute towards alerting services promptly, and hopefully, incidents like these motivate more people to get smartwatches for older members of their family/community.
