Lenovo has introduced the Xiaoxin Air 14 2023 Ryzen Edition laptop in the Chinese market, which is powered by the AMD R7 7840U processor. This model is competitively priced at 3999 yuan ($565), making it a more affordable alternative to the Intel Core i5-1240P processor, which launched last year and starts at 5499 yuan ($777).

Tecno released the Spark 20C in November, followed by the Spark 20 and Spark 20 Pro this month. But the family isn’t quite complete yet – there’s the Tecno Spark 20 Pro+, the top-of-the-line variant, waiting in the wings.

The phone has now been listed on Tecno’s official website, even though all the specs aren’t out yet, and its launch remains shrouded in mystery.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ comes with a 6.78-inch curved display with FHD+ resolution that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness. There’s a punch-hole cutout on the front for a 32MP selfie camera, which has a dual LED flash of its own.

It also borrows a feature similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, dubbed “Dynamic Port,” for displaying notifications, call information, charging status, and more.

Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset, which we assume is an overclocked version of Helio G99. It’s paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

On the back, the phone houses a triple camera setup led by a 108MP main sensor, although details for other sensors haven’t been revealed yet. There’s a dual LED flash accompanying the camera.

Durability comes courtesy of the IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, while a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging keeps the lights on. Notably, the Pro+ runs the latest Android 14 out of the box.

The Spark 20 Pro+ will be available in four unique colorways: Temporal Orbits, Lunar Frost, Radiant Starstream, and Magic Skin 2.0 Green (with a faux leather back). While pricing remains unconfirmed, it’s expected to be competitive within its category.

Earlier this month a slew of Motorola phones surfaced in leaked renders. Now, another Moto G-series device has emerged in leaked renders revealing its design from all angles. The phone in question is the Motorola Moto G Play (2024). It is expected to arrive as the successor to the last year’s Moto G Play (2023).

The module houses a single 50MP primary sensor paired with an LED flash unit. Meanwhile, the smartphone’s predecessor featured a 16MP + 2MP + 2MP camera setup.

On the front, the Motorola Moto G Play (2024) has a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout display. The screen is surrounded by sizeable bezels and a thicker bottom chin which is commonly found on budget phones. The report states that the smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch LCD display bearing an FHD+ resolution instead of HD+.

It is slated to launch in Malaysia soon, as the company confirmed via the landing page and even the pre-booking has started.

The smartphones, the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro models will come with the ColorOS 14 OS. There will be 80W SuperVOOC Flash Charge support for the Reno 11 Pro and 67W SuperVOOC Flash Charge on the standard Oppo Reno 11. The smartphones are coming early next month. After their launch in Malaysia, the smartphones are set to launch in India and Europe. However, there are slight changes in the Chinese and global variants of the devices.

The camera setup on both models is nothing short of impressive. Boasting a 32MP telephoto portrait camera coupled with primary cameras featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), the Reno 11 Series is poised to deliver stunning visuals and unmatched photography experiences. Amid all this, a new Realme 5G smartphone has hit the FCC with model code RMX3867. The same smartphone made it to TKDN and EEC certifications earlier this month.

The FCC listing confirms the smartphone’s 5G connectivity, support for NFC, and the presence of 4880 mAh, aka 5000 mAh, a typical Li-ion Polymer battery (BLPA43). The smartphone runs Reame UI 5.0, based on Android 14. Further, if we consider the other power supply voltage of 4.5V, then it could feature maximum charging support of more than 50W charging speed.

Speculations about new Relame 5G Smartphone

Considering the rumors and leaks, Realme could launch the Realme 12 Pro+ and Realme 12 Pro, which are slated to launch by the end of January or February 2024. Rather than shooting arrows in the dark, it is better to wait for some additional information and updates.

Realme recently launched the Realme GT 5 Pro, which comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1264 x 2780 pixels resolution, 450 PPi, and a 144 Hz refresh rate. According to Ishan, the Oppo Reno 11 series is set to launch in India and the global market on January 11. However, there is a potential disappointment with the Reno 11 as it is reported to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip. The Chinese version, in contrast, features the more advanced Dimensity 8200 chip, which outperforms the Dimensity 1080 significantly in both CPU and GPU applications. The camera bump will also be different, while the fast charging will 67W. This represents a substantial downgrade for the global variant of the Reno 11.

On the other hand, Ishan mentions that the Reno 11 Pro could have either a Dimensity 8200 or Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, and both will come with fast 80W charging. Both phones will have a 32MP telephoto camera and will run on Android 14 from the get-go. Google Reaches Preliminary Settlement in Incognito Mode Lawsuit

Google has reached a preliminary settlement in a class-action lawsuit filed in 2020 over its Chrome browser’s Incognito mode. The lawsuit, originating in the Northern District of California, accused Google of secretly “tracking, collecting, and identifying users’ browsing data in real-time” even when using Incognito mode.

Led by Florida resident William Byatt and Californians Chasom Brown and Maria Nguyen, the legal action alleged Google’s violation of wiretap laws. It claimed that websites using Google Analytics or Ad Manager gathered information from browsers in Incognito mode, including web page content, device data, and IP addresses. The lawsuit also accused Google of linking users’ private browsing activity with their existing profiles.

Google’s initial attempt to dismiss the lawsuit, based on the warning displayed when activating Incognito mode, was rejected by Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers in August. The judge highlighted that Google had not explicitly informed users about continued data collection during private browsing.

Following negotiations, Google and the plaintiffs have agreed to terms that will lead to the dismissal of the litigation. The finalized agreement is expected to be presented to the court by the end of January, with court approval anticipated by the end of February.

This development halts a scheduled February 5, 2024 trial. The lawsuit, seeking at least $5 billion in damages, claimed that Google’s analytics, cookies, and apps allowed tracking even when users believed they were browsing privately. The settlement terms remain undisclosed, pending court approval by February 24, 2024.

The Dolas Defender 250 three-wheeled e-bike has been unveiled. The uniquely designed e-bike has three wheels in a row and each comes with a 250W hub electric motor. The new e-bike comes close to being referred to as an electric trike but is uniquely different from a trike. It has some impressive features and the company says it is well-suited for both city commutes and cargo haulage.

The Dolas Defender 250 is signposted by its three-wheel design arranged in a seemingly unconventional manner. The three wheels are arranged in line but each wheel packs a 250W hub motor. The e-bike thus has a combined power output of 750W, which is massive for an e-bike and even beyond the permitted output in Europe. The Dolas Defender 250 also features a 48V, 53Ah battery pack with 2,544Wh capacity. The range of the Dolas Defender 250 is put at 180km on a full charge. There are a few tech details like its dashboard and integration with an app that have not been stated yet for the Defender 250.

The Defender 250 can haul loads up to 250kg. It can accommodate two riders with the passenger also having his own handlebars and saddle. There is also a cargo rack behind the rear seat of the Defender 250 e-bike. The rear cargo rack is perfect for carrying different items ranging from groceries to small luggage. Riding the bike can be a challenging task to get used to especially navigating corners. The bike is however a delight when going uphill with its massive power delivery even with full cargo.

Pricing & Availability

The Dolas Defender 250 is priced at €4,650 ($5,100) and will soon enter the European market. There are no indications yet whether the Defender 250 will also arrive in the US and other international markets.

Xiaomi has unveiled its new 100W car dual-port charger set in China. The new car charger was announced during the Xiaomi car technology conference and comes with a C to C cable that supports 6A high current.

Features

The new 100W Xiaomi car charger has a dual-port design and can output a maximum power of 100W at a time. The USB-C interface has a maximum power of 90W and a maximum current output of 6.1A. The car charger is compatible with Xiaomi smartphones with 67W and 33W charging power. The charger has an added UFCS protocol that is compatible with OPPO, Huawei, and other UFCS phones. The UFCS protocol supports up to 33W fast charging of devices. The car charger is also compatible with non-Xiaomi mobile phones.

The Xiaomi 100W car dual-port charger has a metal elastic contact design and can be used for a 12V/ 24V cigarette lighter or power ports of popular models. It has an anti-slip shrapnel design making it fit closely even during bumpy rides. It has a four-color equivalent display and real-time charging status monitoring. The new Xiaomi car charger has an expected cycle of 3,000 for USB-A and 10,000 for USB-C. It operates in an ambient temperature range between -10ºC and 40ºC and will operate seamlessly under severe cold or heat.

Pricing & Availability

The Xiaomi 100W car dual-port charger is available from e-commerce platforms like JD.com. It is priced at 99 yuan ($14). It is expected that the availability of the new Xiaomi car charger will expand beyond China. The global availability and pricing optics of the Xiaomi car dual-port charger are however not known at this time.

Ubisoft‘s Rainbow Six Siege Mobile, initially set for December 2023, got delayed. App Store users spotted a new release date, now in September 2024, making fans wait longer.

Even though Ubisoft hasn’t officially spoken about it, info from Reddit and DroidLocal suggests the delay. Beta testers have mixed feelings, some saying it’s ready, others thinking it needs more work.

Delays are common in gaming, even big studios like Ubisoft faced it with Skulls & Bones, now coming in February 2024. Rainbow Six Siege Mobile, a mobile version of the PC game, offers a tactical shooter with 5v5 matches and different Operators and maps.

Operators have special abilities and gadgets. Ubisoft showed 10 Attackers and 9 Defenders. Initial maps include Bank, Border, Clubhouse, and Oregon, with more later. The game’s in beta for some Android and iOS devices.

While the delay might disappoint, good games need time. Rainbow Six Siege Mobile now plans for September 2024. Fans can still join the beta to check it out firsthand.

Bajaj Vector electric scooter is possibly under development, recent trademark filings indicate

Recent trademark filings are pointing to a possible electric scooter offering by two-wheel giant, Bajaj. The Indian company has continued to enjoy global recognition and success since its partnership with KTM in 2007. Bajaj’s global presence is underscored by the KTM 390 and Husqvarna 401. Bajaj has also been entrusted with developing an electric scooter platform called the Husqvarna Vektorr.

A recent Bajaj trademark filing bearing the “Vector” name has been spotted by motorcycle website, BikeWale. This was further confirmed with the Bajaj Vector appearing on a search on India’s IP online service. The trademark appeared under Class 12 for Automobiles, Land Vehicles, Motorcycles, and Electric Vehicles. The trademark application was filed on August 16, 2023. Sources close to Bajaj have hinted that the Vector is a new electric scooter. It is however unclear whether the Vector is the same as the Husqvarna Vektorr now renamed with the Bajaj moniker.

The Bajaj Vector, if it eventually becomes a reality, will join the Bajaj Chetak, an electric scooter that has been in the market for a while. Expectedly, the Vector will offer more premium features than the Chetak and will elevate the status of Bajaj as a player in the EV two-wheeler market in India. There are already established brands in the Indian EV two-wheeler market such as Ola Electric and Ather but the launch of a new Bajaj offering could change the market outlook.

It seems Bajaj is positioning itself to tap from the growing demand for lightweight electric motorcycles in India, as well as parts of Europe and Asia. Several traditional manufacturers are incorporating EV two-wheelers into their business model. A prototype of the upcoming Bajaj e-scooter has been spotted on multiple occasions undergoing testing. It is however not certain whether the Vector is the next Bajaj e-scooter offering or if the company is just trying to safeguard the name for future use.
