Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition launching globally soon, Spotted on NBTC

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra debuted in China as the first next-gen “Ultra” branded phone. But it wasn’t alone, as the brand also unveiled the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition for the photography enthusiasts. While other Ultra models like the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Vivo X300 Ultra, and Find X9 Ultra have yet to be released, Xiaomi’s 17 Ultra Leica Edition appears to be nearing its global launch.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition visits Thailand’s NBTC

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition just surfaced on Thailand’s NBTC database, carrying the 25128PNA1G model number. This listing appears alongside other Xiaomi 17 series entries, including the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and shows the Leica Edition marked under the Cellular Mobile (GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR) category. This points toward official sales in Thailand and potentially other international markets.

Alongside the NBTC sighting, IMDA certifications in Singapore further reinforce that this Leica-branded variant could soon go on sale outside China, where the model originally debuted in December 2025 as an exclusive photography-centric flagship. Based on what we know so far, the device features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a tall 6.9-inch 120Hz OLED display, and a massive 6,800mAh battery pack with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.

But what really sets this device apart is the Leica tuned triple camera setup on the rear. This camera setup consists of a 1-inch 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra wide angle lens, and a large 200MP periscope telephoto shooter. For selfies and video calls, the front houses a 50MP selfie camera. There is also a physical zoom ring and finely knurled mid-frame that echo classic camera designs.

OnePlus 13s Gets Game-Changing Bypass Charging Feature and 50 Million Pixel Photo Editing in OxygenOS 16.0.3.501

OnePlus is rolling out OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 for the OnePlus 13s in India. The update carries build number CPH2723_16.0.3.501(EX01) and is going out in batches.

OnePlus 13s alternatives

OnePlus 13s OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 Update features

The Photos app can now edit images up to 50 million pixels without losing quality. This is a major improvement for users working with high-resolution photos.

The update adds bypass charging. When you’re gaming, live streaming, watching videos, navigating, or doing other demanding tasks, you can plug in your charger and the phone will draw power directly from it instead of the battery. This keeps your battery healthy and reduces overheating during long sessions.

Drawer mode now includes “Office” and “Finance” categories to help you find apps faster. Private Safe has three new features. You can browse files using a side slider, search for files inside folders, and share files directly from Private Safe.

A new toggle lets you remove the SMS reply button from the incoming call screen. Find it in Contacts, then tap the three dots, go to Settings, then Answer/End calls, and look for Reply with SMS. The update also includes the January 2026 Android security patch.

The update is reaching a small group of users first. OnePlus will expand the rollout in a few days after monitoring the initial release. You can check for it manually in your system settings or wait for the notification.

OnePlus 11R OxygenOS 16.0.2.400 Update Rolling Out: Photos App Filters, Widget Stacking, Smart Sidebar Storage Cleanup, and January 2026 Security Patch

OnePlus has started rolling out a new software update for the OnePlus 11R in India. The update is OxygenOS 16.0.2.400, with build number CPH2487_16.0.2.400(EX01). Like usual, OnePlus is sending it to a small group of users first before expanding the rollout in the next few days.

OnePlus-11R

This update brings usability improvements, photo app upgrades, and system fixes instead of big visual changes. You can now open storage cleanup tools directly from the Smart Sidebar, which makes it faster to free up space. The Photos app gets several new features. When you crop or rotate portrait and architectural photos, you can use automatic straightening for quicker and more accurate edits.

Filtering photos is now more detailed. New filter options let you sort by Motion Photos, screenshots and screen recordings, and edited media. This helps when you’re going through a large photo library. OnePlus also improved how thumbnails load in the Photos app. They now load faster and scrolling through photos is smoother.

The home screen gets some small but useful updates. You can now stack 2×1 widgets to use space better. App clone icons can be resized by dragging them, you can add shortcuts to them, and you can rearrange these shortcut icons after resizing. These changes give you more flexibility in organizing your home screen.

Circle to Search works a bit differently now. Even if you hide the gesture navigation guide bar, you can still activate the feature by long-pressing the area where the bar normally sits.

On the security front, the update includes the January 2026 Android security patch. Privacy features also got better. You can now edit images and videos in Private Safe without unlocking them first. The Phone Manager app has a new prompt that lets you enable automatic blocklist updates over Wi-Fi or mobile data. This improves spam detection and protection.

OnePlus says this update is only for users already on OxygenOS 16. If you’re still on OxygenOS 15, you need to upgrade to that first before you can get this build.

Honor’s new $100 smartwatch offers industry-first cardiac arrest screening

Honor just had a big launch event to announce the Magic 8 Pro Air and Magic 8 RSR smartphones. Alongside them also came the Honor Watch GS 5 in two colors and 23-day battery life.

At first glance, the GS 5 looks like a fairly standard modern smartwatch. It has a slim 9.9mm body, weighs only 26 grams, and uses an aluminum alloy bezel paired with a genuine leather strap.

The display is a 1500-nit high-definition panel, and it’s a round dial with a knob on the right. It also includes features users now expect from a premium wearable, including independent GNSS positioning, NFC support, Bluetooth calling, offline music playback, and 5ATM plus IP68 water resistance.

Honor Watch GS 5 is a health-first smartwatch with cardiac arrest screening

What sets this model apart, at least according to Honor, is its emphasis on heart health. The company claims the Watch GS 5 is the industry’s only smart wearable that supports sudden cardiac arrest screening.

The device analyzes the vagus nerve’s ability to regulate heart rate using what Honor calls heart rate deceleration force detection. In simple terms, the watch tries to identify patterns that could indicate potential heart risks before they become serious.

Honor says this system doesn’t just collect data. High-risk users will also receive professional telephone follow-ups from a partnered research team to offer guidance based on the results.

The watch also supports broader heart health monitoring through Honor Heart Health Research. It can screen for suspected atrial fibrillation, premature beats, sleep apnea, and irregular heart rhythms. Alongside those specialized features, the GS 5 offers standard 24/7 tracking for heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels, and sleep quality with HRV analysis.

Moreover, Honor says it has worked with Professor Gu Dongfeng’s (Chinese epidemiologist and preventive cardiologist) research team to build a cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risk assessment model tailored for Chinese users.

The system is based on established biomedical models and delivers personalized risk evaluations and recommendations rather than generic scores.

Rest of the Specs and Price

The GS 5 packs a 495mAh silicon-carbon anode battery, which Honor says can last up to 23 days on a single charge when used in Bluetooth mode. Even with the always-on display enabled, the company promises up to nine days of usage, which is far beyond what most smartwatches currently manage.

On the software side, the device includes Honor’s YOYO smart assistant. It can provide reminders for upcoming flights or train trips, show real-time notifications, display taxi license plate numbers with a simple wrist raise, and track food or package deliveries.

The Honor Watch GS 5 is available in China at 699 yuan (~ $100).

The back panel uses a microcrystalline nano-ceramic material, which the company claims is more durable than conventional glass, with a Mohs hardness rating of 8.5. Honor also says the device is about 10% lighter than previous RSR models.

OnePlus 16 leak: 200Hz display, 200MP telephoto, 9000mAh battery

After the launch of the OnePlus 15 in October, the company is reportedly preparing to launch a compact alternative in the form of the OnePlus 15T. But we’re already moving past that, thanks to new leaks coming out of China.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 16 could feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. That would be a significant upgrade from the 50MP telephoto sensor found on the OnePlus 15, if true.

OnePlus 15

The tipster also adds that the camera will use a much larger sensor—we suspect in the 1/1.x-inch range—compared to the current model’s relatively modest 1/2.76-inch sensor.

OnePlus 16 could also have 200Hz display, 9000mAh battery

Even more interesting is the claim that OnePlus is testing a 200Hz display. The company only recently leaned hard into 165Hz refresh rates with the OnePlus 15, so jumping straight to 200Hz is kind of crazy to think about. That said, even if the hardware is capable, apps would also need to support such high refresh rates to fully take advantage of it.

Another tidbit comes from a separate Weibo tipster who goes by the alias Old Chen Air. The insider claims that the OnePlus 16’s Glacier battery will have a massive 9,000mAh capacity. For context, the OnePlus 15 tops out at 7,300mAh.

Taken together, the rumored specs suggest OnePlus is pushing hard on nearly every front with its next flagship. And that’s before factoring in the expected generational performance gains from Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.

Of course, the OnePlus 16 is still months away from launch, and plans can change during development. As with all early leaks, it’s best to take these details with a healthy dose of skepticism.

OnePlus 15T launch timeline tipped for mid-March

OnePlus‘ upcoming compact flagship has just surfaced in another leak. This time around, we got more details of its expected release timeline. The latest info regarding the OnePlus 15T arrives from a known Chinese tipster, so here’s everything we know so far.

Here’s when the OnePlus 15T may debut

According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Chinese brand is expected to release the OnePlus 15T sometime in the middle of March. Keep in mind that this is for the China release, while its global variant rumored to be cancelled. To recall, its predecessor, the OnePlus 13T, was announced in China last year and later debuted as the OnePlus 13s in markets like India.

OnePlus 13s alternatives
OnePlus 13s

Based on what we know so far, the OnePlus 15T is expected to feature a 6.31-inch to 6.32-inch flat OLED display with a high refresh rate (potentially 165Hz), and a dual50 MP camera setup on the back. This chip might be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Despite its compact size, the OnePlus 15T is expected to pack a massive 7,000mah+ battery pack that likely supports super fast wired charging.

The company will likely position this as a powerful compact phone that also packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Digital Chat Station previously revealed that this model may even offer wireless charging support, a telephoto shooter, water resistance, and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. While pricing and specific release dates, the mid-March release has a similar release timeline as the OnePlus 13T. This is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt.

Casio Edifice ECB-2300HR-1A: Honda F1 60th Anniversary Watch Launches Globally February 2026

Casio has confirmed the Edifice-Honda collaboration watch ECB-2300HR-1A will launch globally in February 2026. The limited edition model marks 60 years since Honda’s first Formula One victory.

Casio ECB-2300HR-1A

Casio Edifice x Honda ECB-2300HR-1A features

On October 24, 1965, the Honda RA272 won the Mexican Grand Prix. It was the first F1 victory for a Japanese car. Honda built the entire engine and chassis in-house. Since then, the company has earned six constructors’ titles and produced four world champions. Honda worked directly with Casio on this watch’s development.

The bezel uses genuine Championship White paint from the RA272. It’s applied to the base and finished with a top coat to match the car’s glossy ivory body. A gold “60” sits at the 60-minute position. The dial has a red ring around the edge, inspired by the Hinomaru design on the RA272 and the Japanese flag.

A gold metal bearing ring inside carries the engraving “Veni, Vidi, Vici” and car number “11.” This references the message Honda’s F1 team sent after their win. The strap shows a diagram of the RA272’s 1.5-liter V12 engine, highlighting Honda’s unusual choice of a 12-cylinder layout at the time. The band uses nappa leather on the front and ultra suede on the back.

At 9 o’clock, the countdown timer recreates the RA272’s tachometer. It matches the original color layout, scale font, hand shape, and red zone marking. The case back has a laser-engraved Honda 60th anniversary logo. The watch comes in special commemorative packaging.

The ECB-2300HR-1A measures 50.2 × 45.8 × 11.8 mm and weighs 67 grams. The case and bezel use carbon, stainless steel, and resin. The band fits wrists from 175 to 215 mm. Water resistance is rated at 10 ATM. In Japan, the watch is listed for ¥ 66,000 (~$421) and is set to go on sale in March 2026.

Apple sold over twice as many iPhone 17 models in China as rival Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo flagships combined

Apple’s iPhone 17 series appears to be selling strongly in China, based on recent figures shared online. The lineup launched in September 2025 and, so far, seems to be outperforming rival flagship phones from China by a wide margin.

According to data posted by tipster Ice Universe on X, Apple has sold around 17.27 million units of the iPhone 17 series in China through the second week of January 2026. The number reportedly includes the standard iPhone 17 as well as the Pro and Pro Max models, covering a period of less than four months.

By comparison, sales of competing flagship series are significantly lower. The Xiaomi 17 lineup, including the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, is said to have reached about 3.08 million units. The Huawei Mate 80 series follows with 2.06 million units, while the Vivo X300 and Oppo Find X9 series trail further behind at roughly 1.16 million and 0.91 million units, respectively.

If accurate, the figures suggest that Apple’s latest iPhones have sold more units in China than all major domestic flagship series combined over the same timeframe. While the data is unofficial, it points to strong demand for iPhones in the premium segment, at least for this generation.

Many attribute the momentum to a more competitive base iPhone 17, which received larger upgrades than usual. The Pro models also saw design changes, which may have helped sustain interest at the higher end.

The China numbers broadly line up with wider industry expectations. Forecasts from late 2025 indicated Apple could ship around 247 million iPhones globally, slightly ahead of Samsung’s estimated 241 million Galaxy devices.

With new flagships expected later this year, including Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series, it remains to be seen how long Apple can maintain this pace.

Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ full specs revealed with flagship Exynos & Snapdragon chips

Samsung‘s next flagships, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+, just had their key specifications leaked ahead of the official launch. This brings some disappointing news for those looking for a more robust generation upgrade with the brand’s 2026 flagship. So here are all the details.

Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ Leaked Specifications

The latest information arrives from known tipster Gadgetsdata, who shared the info on X (formerly Twitter). Looking at the recent tweet, the Galaxy S26 will reportedly sport a compact 6.3-inch M14 AMOLED display with LTPO technology, adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and HDR10+ support. So, it is getting a slightly larger screen compared to its predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy S26

On the other hand, the more expensive Galaxy S26+ could have a larger 6.7-inch M14 AMOLED display that also supports adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, but with a higher 2K resolution. We can also expect the brand to offer robust protection like the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 that was offered on its predecessor. The tipster claims that both models will retain an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Under the hood, he believes that Samsung’s next flagship will be powered by either the Exynos 2600 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. To recall, the South Korean tech giant releases the Snapdragon variant in select markets like the US and China, while the rest of the world gets the Exynos version. For photography, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ may feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP (main) + 12MP (ultra wide) + 50MP (telephoto).

A 4,300mAh battery pack powers the Galaxy S26, which supports 25W wired fast charging, while the Galaxy S26+ gets a larger 4,900mAh cell with 45W wired fast charging. There is also Qi2 wireless charging support and USB 3.2.

Dual 200MP Cameras Are Coming : OPPO & Vivo Are About to Change the Camera Game

  • OPPO and vivo are set to lead the first dual-200MP flagship wave with Find X9 Ultra and X300 Ultra.
  • No phone on sale today has dual 200MP cameras; the technology is still upcoming.
  • This shift could redefine mobile photography, especially for zoom and detail-heavy shots.

New leaks suggest OPPO and vivo are preparing to introduce dual 200MP camera systems in their upcoming flagship smartphones. The strategy is clear: one 200MP large-sensor main camera paired with a 200MP telephoto camera. According to industry tipsters, this setup could soon become a new standard for Android flagships, with other brands expected to follow in the next generation.

2026: The “Year of 200 Megapixels.”

Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has described 2026 as the “Year of 200MP cameras.” Major sensor makers like Sony, Samsung, SmartSens, OmniVision, and Galaxycore are all preparing advanced 200MP sensors. Galaxycore’s upcoming 1/1.4-inch 200MP sensor, optimized for telephoto use, shows that ultra-high resolution is no longer limited to main cameras. This signals a broader shift toward high-megapixel zoom photography.

OPPO Find X9 Ultra: Leading the Charge

Leaks strongly indicate that the OPPO Find X9 Ultra will feature two 200MP rear cameras—one large primary sensor and one periscope telephoto. This could deliver near-lossless zoom, stronger detail retention, and better low-light performance across focal lengths. An additional 50MP lenses for ultra-wide and extra zoom are also expected, making it one of the most camera-focused phones ever.

Vivo X300 Ultra: Camera Flagship Rival

The Vivo X300 Ultra is also tipped to adopt up to two 200MP sensors, positioning it as a direct competitor to OPPO, Samsung, and even Apple’s top models. While details are still emerging, the focus is clearly on photography leadership rather than incremental upgrades.

Why This Trend Matters

Dual 200MP cameras could redefine smartphone photography by reducing reliance on heavy digital zoom and AI tricks. Users can expect sharper zoom shots, better cropping flexibility, and more consistent image quality. If successful, this trend may push smartphones closer than ever to dedicated cameras, changing how people capture everyday moments.
