As a fashion-first smartphone, the Xiaomi CIVI 2 will be featured in 4 premium colour options: Black, Pink, Blue and an exclusive Silk Silver colour option. For the specs, the Xiaomi CIVI 2 will be running on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile SoC, and keeping the lights on is a generous 4500 mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging.

The rear camera setup of the Xiaomi CIVI 2 could rival flagships as Xiaomi has officially teased that the Xiaomi CIVI 2 features Sony flagship 50 MP IMX766 sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture, the same sensor found on competing Android flagships like the Xiaomi 12, Oppo Find X5 Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro.

The Xiaomi CIVI 2 will be available with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and will run on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.

Other features of the Xiaomi CIVI 2 include Dolby Atmos certified dual stereo speakers, an IR Blaster and dual SIM card slots on the device.

Although the Xiaomi CIVI 2 is launching on Tuesday in China, rumours point to the device being released globally as well under a different moniker, such as the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE or possibly the Xiaomi 13 Lite.

Tipster Mukul Sharma has revealed the OnePlus Nord watch will come in two color options- Deep Blue and Midnight Black. To corroborate his claims, Sharma also shared an image that shows the watch in both colors.

OnePlus Nord Watch will flaunt a large 1.78-inch AMOLED display and will offer a 60Hz refresh rate panel and 500 nits peak brightness. The watch is claimed to come with loads of fitness features. It will have a total of 105 fitness modes, which may include activities like walking, running, cycling, and more. In addition, the watch will also have more than 100+ watch faces.

If we talk about the health monitoring features and sensors, the Nord Watch will be equipped with a heart rate sensor to monitor vitals, a SpO2 sensor to measure blood-oxygen levels, as well as a stress monitor to check stress levels. Moreover, the watch could also feature a women’s health tracker. The wearable is tipped to offer up to 10 days of battery life.

The price of the upcoming wearable is still a mystery. But since it’s a Nord-branded product, we can expect it to fall in the range of $50-60. The Nord Watch could launch in India on September 28. Official confirmation is still awaited.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 Ultra earlier this year. The successor to the S22 Ultra is expected to launch around January or February of 2023. The expected launch date is still a few months away. However, the device has already appeared on the 3C listing, revealing its charging details.

According to the listing, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has the model number SM-S9180. It has support for at least 25W fast charging. The company used a charger with model number EP-TA800 for the tests, however, considering the fact that the Galaxy S22 Ultra didn’t include a charger in the box, it is highly unlikely that the S23 Ultra will offer a charger in the box.

It is important to note that the Galaxy S22 Ultra supports 15W wireless charging as well as 45W fast charging. Samsung may improve the S23 Ultra’s charging specifications and introduce 45W fast charging, exactly like it did with its predecessor.

It’s expected that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will receive some minor improvements over the S22 Ultra. The 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display on the phone is claimed to be the same. The screen will be curved, and the 40MP front camera will have a hole-punch cutout in the top center.

A new 200MP main camera could be on the back. It’s possible that the other three camera sensors won’t change. This means that the 12MP ultrawide camera, the 12MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and the 12MP telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom will all be included on the S23 Ultra.

Under the hood, the device will house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It won’t be surprising if the device comes with an Exynos chipset in some regions.

The back panel of the OPPO A77s will feature a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone will come preloaded with Android 12 OS and ColorOS 12.1.

The A77s will be powered by the Snapdragon 680 mobile platform. Sharma had previously revealed that the phone would come in two variants, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. It appears that the A77s will have support for up to 5 GB of virtual RAM.

The A77s will house a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. While it is not mentioned in the leak, it is likely that the device will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The handset will feature ultra-linear dual stereo speakers. The leak reveals that the device measures 7.99mm.

There is no word on the price of the OPPO A77s. The leaked specification suggests that it will be positioned above the OPPO A77, which was announced in India for Rs 15,490 (~$190). In all likelihood, the A77s will cost around Rs 17,000 (~$209).

During the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, Samsung unveiled a new smart TV in India. The new Samsung 32-inch HD TV (Model: 32T4380AK) has thick bezels on all sides. The TV has a 1366 x 768 pixel LED panel with a 50Hz refresh rate.

The TV features the all-new, redesigned Samsung TV Plus service, which provides free access to 55 live international and local channels, including Republic TV, Discovery TV, and others. It runs the Tizen TV operating system.

Samsung claims that its High Dynamic Range and PurColor technologies deliver the best picture quality in both dark and light environments. Additionally, there is contrast enhancement technology, which increases picture depth, and Ultra Clean View technology, which analyses original information to deliver high-quality images with little distortion.

Realme GT 2, GT Neo 3 Android 13 early access program underway

The early access update means that users can now experience the latest OS version on their devices, however, since it is a part of the beta program, there might be some bugs. The Android 13 early access program for the Realme GT 2 and GT Neo 3 is already underway and applications are accepted in batches with only limited seats available. Both smartphones debuted this year and shipped with Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12. The next-generation Android 13 offers more customisations along with enhanced security and privacy.

A new Appuals report has revealed the key specifications as well as renders of the alleged Redmi A1+. The handset is expected to have features and a design similar to the Redmi A1, with a few changes here and there. The Dutch electronics manufacturer Philips has launched a new air fryer in the Indian market called the Airfryer XL Connected. The new air fryer has an 80°C to 200°C temperature range and uses Rapid Air Technology for healthy frying. It works with the NutriU App, which instructs users on how to cook and when to interact with their food.

The Philips Airfryer XL Connected features a touch screen and seven pre-programmed functions, including keep warm, fry, bake, grill, roast, and reheat. You can cook up to five meal portions at a time with the 1.2-kg capacity basket and the 6.2-L pan. Both parts are dishwasher-safe and removable. It also integrates with Amazon Alexa, making cooking even more intelligent.

The NutriU app, which is available in both the Google Play and Apple App Stores, contains a database of over 100 recipes. You could even have them create their own recipes, which they could then upload to the app after signing up for an account.

Design

There is an important improvement in the design of the iPhone 14 Pro. The notch has been replaced by Dynamic Island: a pill shaped hole in the display which contains the sensors for 3D facial recognition and the front camera. Dynamic Island is also very useful to display important information, it can be used as a notification center or a small secondary display to make everything happening on the phone clearer. Instead, the notch of the iPhone 13 Pro does not have any utility in the display of the phone. On the other hand, the iPhone 13 Pro is slightly more compact and slightly thinner because it packs a smaller battery. For the rest, these two devices are not so different: the camera modules are similar and even the rest of their bodies are similar to each other.

Display

The displays of these two phones do not differ too much and they have almost the same specifications. They are Super Retina XDR OLED with a diagonal of 6.1 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10 certification, and Dolby Vision support. The only important difference between these displays is the brightness: the iPhone 14 Pro is able to go up to 2,000 nits, while its predecessor has a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. These phones do not sport fingerprint readers for authentication, unlike Android phones. Instead, they support 3D facial recognition with Face ID technology. The sensors for Face ID, as already mentioned, are placed in the Dynamic Island placed centrally on the upper part of the display.

Specs & Software

The iPhone 14 Pro comes with an upgraded processor if compared to the previous generation. It has an Apple A16 Bionic built with a 4 nm production process and with an octa-core architecture. The mobile platform is composed of two Everest performance cores running at a max frequency of 3.46 GHz, four Sawtooth energy efficient cores running at a max frequency of 2.02 GHz, and an Apple proprietary GPU with 5 cores. Alongside the chipset, there are 6 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage, depending on the chosen configuration you can choose between 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB. You can get the same memory configurations with the iPhone 13 Pro, but with an inferior processor. We are referring to the Apple A15 Bionic, built with a 5 nm production process and an octa-core architecture. This chipset packs two Avalanche performance cores running at a max frequency of 3.23 GHz, four Blizzard cores running at 1.82 GHz, and an Apple GPU with 5 cores.

Camera

The iPhone 14 Pro is even equipped with a superior camera. Its main sensor has a resolution of 48 MP and it is the first 48 MP sensor ever seen on an iPhone, with OIS support and phase detection autofocus. Instead, the iPhone 13 Pro has a 12 MP main camera. The secondary sensors of these phones are the same: a 12 MP ultrawide lens and a 12 MP ultrawide camera, as well as a TOF 3D LiDAR scanner (but with different focal apertures). Even the front cameras are the same 12 MP snapper but with a different focal aperture.

Battery

The iPhone 14 Pro packs a bigger battery: 3200 mAh against just 3095 mAh of the iPhone 13 Pro. Alongside the more efficient 4 nm chipset, it provides longer battery life. The charging technologies are the same, including MagSafe which can also be used to connect external accessories such as battery cases.

Price

The iPhone 14 Pro starts from $999 or €1,200 (prices vary depending on the market), while the iPhone 13 Pro used to start from $899/€1189, but it is way more affordable now, thanks to street prices.

Motorola has expanded its range of televisions. The Lenovo-owned brand has launched Revou2 smart TV range. The lineup includes four models in different screen sizes and resolutions. The entire Revou2 range is priced affordably under the Rs 30,000 segment. Read on to know what Motorola’s latest televisions offer out of the box.

The Motorola Revou2 smart TVs come in four variants. These include a 32-inch screen with HD resolution, a 40 and 43-inch model with FHD resolution and also a 43-inch option bearing a UHD resolution. All four TVs come with bezel-less displays and are equipped with 24 speakers with Dolby Audio on HD and FHD and Dolby Atmos on FHD variants. The audio experience is also tuned and optimised by India’s leading audio brand boAt’s very own boAt Labs.

The Motorola Revou2 43-inch UHD variant comes with support for HDR10, Dolby Vision, MEMC, and ALLM features.

Internally, the Motorola Revou2 TVs are equipped with a quad-core MediaTek processor with Mali G52 MP2 GPU onboard. The HD and FHD models pack 1GB RAM whereas the 4K UHD variant has 2GB RAM. All four televisions offer 8GB storage. They run on Android TV 11 out of the box.

Connectivity options on the Motorola Revou2 TV series include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, and Ethernet.

The Motorola Revou2 TV range starts at Rs 10,999 for the 32-inch variant. The 40 and 43-inch FHD models are priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 19,999 respectively. The 43-inch UHD option costs Rs 22,999. The televisions are available for purchase from Flipkart.

OPPO A17’s leaked renders and key specifications have surfaced on the web. The information has been shared by tipster Evan Blass in partnership with publication 91Mobiles. The OPPO A17 is expected to arrive as the successor to the OPPO A16 that debuted last year. The upcoming offering has already bagged multiple certifications hinting at its imminent launch.

The renders reveal that the OPPO A17 will come with a minimal waterdrop notch and a chin at the bottom. It is seen with a leather textured back panel with a long pill-shaped camera design but the module isn’t protruding. It houses two rings with dual camera sensors and an LED flash. The smartphone has a compact form factor with a volume rocker button and power buttons on the right side. The latter doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the OPPO A17 won’t pack upgrades compared to its predecessor. It will reportedly be powered by a Helio G35 processor paired with 64GB onboard storage and be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit. The rest of the specifications of the upcoming smartphone remain a mystery.

The OPPO A17 will arrive in Orange, Blue, and Black colour options. It is tipped to debut by the end of this month.

Xiaomi CIVI 2’s teaser confirms a 4500mAh battery and 67W charging

Xiaomi is ready to bring the new smartphone to the female-centric CIVI series. The firm has confirmed the latest Xiaomi CIVI 2 will debut in China on September 27. Ahead of the launch, the company has started teasing the specs and design of the handset. In the latest teaser, the Chinese tech giant confirmed the battery and charging speed of the CIVI 2. Let’s look at the details.

Xiaomi recently posted a teaser on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, which revealed the upcoming Xiaomi CIVI 2S would be equipped with a 4500mAh battery and support 67W fast charging. The handset is claimed to charge fully in just 40 minutes. The teaser also mentions that the handset will have a thin and light body.

As mentioned, the company has already revealed the design and a few specifications of the device. It will have a curved display with a pill-shaped cutout on the front, which will remind you of the new iPhone 14 Pro smartphones. In addition, it will have a triple rear camera setup arranged on a squircle module.

Talking about the specs, the Xiaomi CIVI 2 is expected to have a 6.56-inch OLED FHD+ display that may offer a 120Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

In terms of optics, it will have dual 32-megapixel front-facing cameras. While at the back, it will feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS. The main sensor may be accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro unit. The Xiaomi CIVI 2 will likely run Android 12 OS, with the MIUI 13 skin on top.

Xiaomi has unveiled the MIJIA sweeping and mopping robot vacuum cleaner in China. The new MIJIA Sweeping and Mopping Robot Vacuum Cleaner 1S supports automatic water loading and unloading. The cleaning agent can be automatically dispensed when it is installed in the cleaning base.

The MIJIA sweeping and mopping robot has a 4kPa fan with a 4-speed suction mode for a variety of cleaning tasks. It is equipped with a camera and AI graphics algorithm to correctly identify the type of room. Users can also set an exclusive cleaning plan for each room. The robot automatically lifts the mop in some cleaning scenarios to prevent dust contamination and enhance the cleaning.

The MIJIA sweeping and mopping robot vacuum cleaner uses hot air drying after every use to prevent odor and humidity. It can provide up to two hours of hot air to efficiently dry the machine. The cleaning robot can be incorporated into the MIJIA smart home ecosystem to provide customized cleaning solutions in a safe home environment.

The MIJIA sweeping and mopping robot vacuum cleaner 1S has opened for pre-sale in China at an introductory price of 3,999 yuan (~$561). Global availability details for the device are lacking at this time. The device could be an important smart home gadget for keeping your home prim and neat at all times. Its range and battery capacity have not been highlighted by Xiaomi.

Samsung has announced the arrival of the Galaxy XCover6 and Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro in the United States. The two rugged devices are 5G-enabled and MIL-STD-810H-rated. Both devices can operate under extreme environmental conditions and are making their entry into the US months after their release.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover6 runs on Android 12 and has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and the display has Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Samsung announced the Galaxy XCover6 in June 2022 and it can be operated with a wet hand or gloves. The phone is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance with a Snapdragon 778G chipset in the mix. The XCover has a RAM capacity of 6GB and 128GB of expandable storage. It has a programmable push-to-talk button and a 4,050mAh battery. The phone can be charged at 15W or through pogo pins on a cradle. Its loudspeaker has a boost mode and Samsung DeX. Its camera setup consists of a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 13MP selfie camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro was released this month and comes with a 10.1-inch TFT LCD panel. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and the tablet supports S Pen functionality. The tablet is also very rugged and can withstand extreme conditions of altitude, humidity, immersion, vibration, and more. The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chip and has a RAM/ storage configuration of 4GB/128GB. It also has the push-to-talk button, and volume boost and can be operated even with wet hands or gloves.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover6 and Tab Active4 Pro support NFC payments and can be used as POS systems on the Knox platform. They can be used to scan barcodes or for inventory tracking. The Active5 Pro is already available from Samsung and Amazon Business while the XCover6 will arrive on October 20 via US carriers. The Active4 Pro has a starting price of $649 while no pricing information is available for the XCover6 yet.

DJI Osmo Mobile 6 smartphone gimbal launched in China

The DJI Osmo Mobile 6 (OM6) smartphone gimbal with five major upgrades from its predecessor has been released in China. It is a new generation of anti-shake smartphone gimbal with an optimized design and more intelligent functions than the OM5. It sports a foldable body, simple and efficient buttons, and a magnetic quick-release design. It also features DJI’s three-axis gimbal stabilization technology.

The Osmo Mobile 6 has several intelligent shooting modes and comes in a dark rock gray color different from its predecessor. The device remains on when unfolded and the DJI Mimo will automatically pop up when connected to the phone. There is also a new status display panel for checking battery status and system indicators, and you can activate the PTZ mode at any instant. Four PTZ modes can be deployed including follow, tilt lock, FPV, and rotate shooting. Another upgrade is the Intelligent follow-up which is more stable and smooth with a longer following distance.

The OM6 has a new side dial that now allows for the manual focus of the device. You can switch focus and zoom in with a single click, as well as adjust the blur. The new feature also allows for the focal length to be altered. The DJI Osmo Mobile 6 smartphone gimbal weighs 309g while the magnetic mobile phone clip weighs 31g. The tripod is 138mm long and weighs about 32g. The gimbal can rotate within a range between -161 and 174 degrees for translation. For roll, the device rotates between -120 to 212 degrees while the maximum control speed is 120 degrees/ minute.

The Osmo Mobile 6 has a 1000mAh battery which can last for up to 6 hours and 24 minutes. DJI has also launched a replacement protection plan for the device. The Osmo Mobile 5 smartphone gimbal will retail in China for 999 yuan (~$140) for a limited period. The one-year care plan is priced at 49 yuan (~$7).

A couple of Hisense TV models have been unveiled in India. The Hisense U7H series TVs with 4K QLED screens and the Tornado 2.0 A7H TV with a 4K LED display are now available in the Indian market. Earlier, Hisense had launched the A6H 4K TVs.

The U7H offers a 120Hz display refresh rate, Quantum Dot Color, HDMI 2.1, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, and Full Array Local Dimming. The TV is also well-suited for gaming purposes with its AMD FreeSync Premium and Auto Low Latency Mode. It provides an excellent gaming experience and quicker response times.

The UH7 avoids screen tearing with its variable refresh rate helping to deliver superior performance. The TV also supports both Alexa and Google Assistant, providing greater depth in its control. The U7H comes in two sizes – 55” and 65”, both supporting Bluetooth 6.1, Wi-Fi, and other connectivity options. The RAM/storage combo for the TVs is 3GB/8GB.

The Hisense Tornado 2.0 A7H TV features a 4K LED panel and comes with a powerful sound system. It has 102W power and a 6-speaker system. The AH7 creates a sound dome that is truly immersive. Like the UH7, it runs on Google TV and features Chromecast, as well as Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Apple AirPlay/HomeKit. The Tornado 2.0 TV has a similar connectivity configuration as the UH7 except the Bluetooth version is 5.0. The RAM/storage is 2GB/16GB.

Hisense has continued to surge in TV sales in India with the brand ranked second in sales volume in Q2 2022. It holds a 12.1% market share and a recent report also puts it as the second-best TV brand globally. Hisense is also showcasing its products via several marketing programs including the Buy and Fly offer for the FIFA 2022 World Cup coming up in Qatar in November.

The Hisense UH7 is priced at Rs. 51,990 (~$641) and Rs. 71,990 (~$888) respectively. The Tornado 2.0 retails at Rs. 42,990 (~$530) and both products are available via Flipkart and Amazon. A Fire TV 4K will be an added accessory for the UH7 purchases. Hisense is offering an extended 3-year warranty for the new TVs for a limited period.

OPPO is expected to launch the Find X6 and X6 Pro as the latest flagships for its 2023 Android smartphone line-up. A recent leak revealed the upcoming series would be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Now, a popular tipster has shared some information about the Find X6 series’ camera configuration. Here are the details.

Tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to reveal the camera specifications of the OPPO Find X6 series. As per the tipster, the lower-end OPPO Find X6 will be equipped with a triple rear camera system that will include a 50-megapixel main camera. The primary camera will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 32-megapixel telephoto unit.

Further, the tipster revealed that the higher-end OPPO Find X6 will also feature triple cameras on the back. The device will have a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. If true, the camera specs of both the devices look quite promising, and we can expect them to offer impressive camera performance.

Mr. Chat Station also revealed the camera details of the upcoming OnePlus 11. The handset is claimed to have triple rear cameras, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens.

As per a recent leak, the Find X6 will support a 1.5K display resolution, while the Find X6 Pro’s panel will offer a 2K resolution. In addition, both smartphones are tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen2. However, there’s a possibility that the regular Find X6 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1.

The OPPO Find X6 lineup will likely launch next year (2023). We should learn more details about the smartphones in the coming days. We’ll keep you posted.
