Going by the rumors so far, we can expect the smartphone to have two ultrasonic fingerprint scanners as well as an alert slider on the side. The display is rumored to be the same as the X Fold, meaning that we will likely see a large 8.03-inch E5 LTPO OLED 3.0 inner display with UTG that has a 120Hz refresh rate, 2K resolution, and a 4:3.5 aspect ratio on the X Fold+. The secondary screen on the device will have a 6.53-inch E5 OLED panel that has a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support.

Get Apple’s Dynamic Island on your Android phone with this App

Apple finally chose to do something about the notch that many find unsightly. The new iPhone 14 Pro models come with a versatile feature that the company, for some reason, calls “Dynamic Island.” It is designed to surface various types of alerts, notifications, and interactions. However, Android users don’t need to feel left, there’s a free app on the Play Store that offers a similar experience on any Android smartphone.

A new app called DynamicSpot, which is developed by Jawomo, can mimic Apple’s Dynamic Island to some extent. The app is currently available for free on the Play Store, and it lets you adjust the position and size of the “island” based on where the notch is located on your Android device.

It also offers numerous customizations. It allows you to select what kind of notifications show up on your screen. Moreover, DynamicSpot can also show two popup notifications at once. The free version of the app comes with limited functions. However, if you wish to test its full potential, you can pay $4.99 and get the Pro option.

We didn’t try the paid version of the app ourselves. But the folks at Phonearena who gave it a shot suggest it unlocks more features. For instance, it gives users the ability to display DynamicSpot on the lock screen and access single-tap and long-press actions.

As mentioned, the app can be downloaded for free and has no ads. However, it is still in the beta phase and there could be some issues with the compatibility. Moreover, the app may even have some bugs.

In any case, this is your best chance to get Apple’s Dynamic Island on your Android phone until Android manufacturers decide to bring a similar alternative.

Coming to the Google Play Console listing, it shows that the device has a 1080 x 2400p resolution display with a 440ppi pixel density. The listing also mentions that the device has a Snapdragon 712 SoC, which is paired with an Adreno 616 GPU. Google Pixel tablet may feature 11 inch display & up to 256GB storage

Back in May 2022, Google had confirmed that it will be launching a new Android tablet in the market soon. This model is believed to be the Pixel Tablet, but prior to its announcement, a leak has revealed some key details regarding this device.

Google

For those unaware, the Search Engine giant has confirmed that the tablet will be launching sometime in 2023. However, new rumors and reports are still surfacing regarding this tablet. Now, developer Kuba Wojciechowski shared some specifications regarding the upcoming Pixel Tablet to 91Mobiles as he claims that the Pixel tablet enters EVT phase (engineering validation test). This EVT phase basically implies that the tablet is now outside of the prototype stage and the company is working on the finalizing the device.

This is both in terms of its design and internal specifications and other as well. Wojciechowski further added that the brand has even shipped some Pixel Tablet units to India as well, for EVT and certification purposes. While the Pixel Tablet is still under wraps, Kuba revealed that the tablet will come in two storage options, namely a 128GB and 256GB internal storage model. Its unclear if the RAM in these two options would be different as well.

Furthermore, the Pixel Tablet will sport a large 10.95 inch display and also support WiFi 6 standards. He also claimed that he spotted Google’s first party USI 2.0 stylus for the Pixel tablet, which isn’t completely unexpected since the tablet was already certified for USI previously. That was all the information shared by the developer, although, the device is believed to run on Google’s first gen Tensor SoC. So stick around for more updates.

Apple reportedly scales back iPhone 14 production due to lower demand

Apple recently unveiled its next-generation smartphones in the form of the Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This time, the company has replaced the Mini model with the Plus mode.

Now, as per the latest reports, the Cupertino-based technology giant is scaling back production of the iPhone 14 due to low demand for the latest model.

iPhone 14

According to the report from ITHome, which cites supply chain employees as a source to claim that Foxconn has been instructed to dismantle at least five production lines that were making the iPhone 14 in Zhengzhou, China.

Currently, it is not clear if the scale of production is only for the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 model or if it also includes the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus.

This isn’t surprising given that the Apple iPhone 14 comes with the same display as the iPhone 13 model. It also packs a processor found in the iPhone 13 Pro instead of the latest one. It isn’t exciting for the customers, and they wouldn’t;t want to spend more money on the new model when they are essentially getting a phone similar to the last year.

On the other hand, a report from Ming-Chi Kuo indicates that Apple is ramping up the production of the iPhone 14 Pro, which is in high demand. He adds that the company is moving production resources from iPhone 14 to the iPhone 14 Pro to keep up with demand.
