Black Shark FunCooler 3 Pro Review – Powerful Cooling Fan For Gaming

By

Sep 23, 2022

If there is an accessory that can significantly enhance your mobile gaming experience, then it is none other than a smartphone cooler. Especially for those who have purchased Snapdragon 888 or 8 Gen 1 phones, phone coolers have become a necessity for unleashing the chip’s best performance.

That’s why it’s time to check out a cooling fan from Black Shark, a well-known gaming phone brand. Black Shark recently upgraded their FunCooler to the latest 3 Pro version. This is probably the most powerful phone cooler you can buy.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review 11

If you buy a Black Shark FunCooler 3 Pro, you get a cooler, a charging cable, and a bunch of instructions.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review 09

After several upgrades, the FunCooler 3 Pro has become much larger, the color is only black and purple, and the design does not scream “Gaming” anymore. The body is plastic, but you can see the carbon fiber-like texture. The clip can be opened to a wide range of normal-sized phones without worrying about not being able to clip. When you open the cooler, you can see that the RGB light effect is still retained. You can certainly change the color, but you have to download their APP.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review 08

What’s so “Pro” about this Pro version? FunCooler 3 Pro uses a large TEC module and 2200mm2 copper thermal pad, which can reduce the temperature by up to 30℃. After our test, the cooler was only 2.5℃ at the coldest point at a room temperature of 27℃. We also got a phone that gets hot very easily: the Xiaomi 12 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. You can clearly see from the heat-sensing images that the temperature dropped a lot. If you have a phone with even better performance and use it with the FunCooler 3 Pro, you can play games all day without the frame rate dropping due to overheating.

Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Review Temperature without fan
Black Shark Fun Cooler 3 Pro Temperature without fan

There is only one power button on the whole body, other control options need to be operated by the Shark Kit APP on the phone. The smart mode can intelligently adjust the fan speed according to the phone temperature. If Black Shark has an algorithm upgrade for Smart mode, you can also do an OTA upgrade through the APP.

There is no doubt that FunCooler 3 Pro is a professional device made by Black Shark for gamers. It has the strongest cooling system from Black Shark, and if it can’t cool your phone, then no one can cool your phone.

At 249 RMB (about $36) I think the price is acceptable, and Black Shark is certainly a more trustworthy brand than the one you haven’t heard of, right?

iQOO 11 series said to feature a new 50MP Sony IMX8-series main camera

By

Sep 23, 2022

iQOO is reportedly working on the iQOO 11 series of flagship phones. It is speculated that the lineup will be comprised of the iQOO 11 and the iQOO 11 Pro. Last week, tipster Digital Chat Station shared key information on the display of the iQOO 11 series. Now, he is back with some information about the primary camera of the lineup.

A new Weibo post by the tipster suggests that the iQOO 11 series will be equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera. He added that the company is testing a new Sony IMX8-series primary camera for the iQOO 11 series. It appears that the photography performance of the camera sensor is barely at the level of the Vivo X90’s primary camera.

iqoo 10 pro
iQOO 10 Pro

He further mentioned that the iQOO 11 series’ new 50-megapixel Sony IMX8xx will be a 1/1.5-inch camera sensor. It appears that it is a custom-made version of the existing Sony IMX866 sensor.

The tipster’s previous leak revealed that the iQOO 11 series will feature a Samsung E6 AMOLED display, which offers 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be a curved edge panel with a centred punch-hole. The iQOO 11 and 11 Pro are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

There is a possibility that the iQOO 11 Pro may continue to support 200W charging like the iQOO 10 Pro. The iQOO 11, on the other hand, may support 120W charging. The Pro model may also offer wireless charging.

There is no word on the launch timeframe of the iQOO 11 series. Hence, it is likely that the iQOO 11 and 11 Pro may break cover in the early months of 2023 in China.

Sep 23, 2022

Several reports have claimed that OPPO is working on a successor edition to the OPPO Find N foldable phone from last year. The Chinese manufacturer is also said to be working on its first clamshell phone with a foldable screen. Unfortunately, the final marketing names of these products have yet to be revealed. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shared fresh information about these devices.

According to the tipster, the trial production of both products has started. The foldable phone is codenamed “White Swan,” whereas the flip phone has the “Dragonfly” codename. Both devices are said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile platform.

OPPO Find N

The tipster revealed that the foldable phone will come in multiple colors, such as black, white, and green. The flip phone, on the other hand, will be made available in black, white, and purple. OPPO’s clamshell phone is likely to rival the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, the Moto Razr 2022, and the Huawei P50 Pocket New in the Chinese market.

Not much is known about the other specifications of the upcoming foldables from OPPO. OPPO CPO Pete Lau stated last month that the next-generation foldable display will not have display creasing issues. Since both devices are expected towards the end of this year, it appears that the rumor mill will spill more information on them in the coming weeks.

OPPO is also said to be working on the Find X6 series of smartphones. It is speculated that the Find X6 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, whereas the Find X6 Pro will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. The Find X6 series is expected to debut in Q1 2023.

It appears that the device will not be called the Moto Razr 2022 in the global market.

According to Nils Ahrensmeier, the upcoming Motorola clamshell for the global market will be called the Razr 22. Unfortunately, there is no fresh information on the global release of the device.

ZTE Axon 30s specifications (rumored)

The TENAA listing of the alleged Axon 30s reveals that it has a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution. It will offer a full screen experience since it features an under-display camera. It seems that the device will be equipped with a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Samsung Galaxy S22+ vs iPhone 14 Plus: Specs Comparison

By

Sep 22, 2022

For the first time ever, Apple released a Plus variant of the iPhone: we are talking about the iPhone 14 Plus. It is not the most advanced model of the 14 series but it is a bigger version of the vanilla iPhone 14, equipped with a bigger battery and a bigger display. A lot of people are wondering whether or not it makes sense to purchase this variant instead of the Pro ones from the same lineup. This is the reason why we decided to publish a comparison with the Pro Max. But there is another Plus phone that you may choose instead of this new Apple handset. We are talking about the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, another intermediate version. There is no better way to understand which one is the best than a direct comparison. So, here is a comparison between the main specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and the iPhone 14 Plus!

Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus vs iPhone 14 Plus

Design

Even though the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus has a more original design, I personally prefer the design of the iPhone 14 Plus. I prefer it because of its higher build quality. It has a glass back protected by Ceramic Shield and an aluminum frame, with better water resistance than its rival. Thanks to the IP68 certification of this phone, you can put it underwater up to 6 meters deep for 30 minutes without damage. But a lot of people may prefer the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus due to its original look, especially the one of the camera module, and due to the absence of an ugly notch, replaced by a punch hole placed centrally on the display. It is waterproof just like its opponent, but it can be put underwater just 1.5 meters deep without damage.

Display

The display of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus looks better for gamers due to its very high 120 HZ refresh rate. It is an AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.6 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, HDR10+ certification, and very high peak brightness, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. The iPhone 14 Plus looks better in terms of image quality. It has a Super Retina XDR OLED display with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1284 x 2778 pixels, the HDR10 certification, Dolby Vision support, and a 1,200 nit peak brightness. It does not have a fingerprint reader, but it relies on a better authentication method: 3D facial recognition, thanks to the Face ID technology provided by the hardware sensors placed inside the notch.

Specs & Software

Even though it comes with a processor from last year, the iPhone 14 Plus is able to provide higher performance thanks to the amazing optimization of the iOS operating system. It is fueled by the Apple A16 Bionic chipset built with a 5 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture. The SoC is composed of two Avalanche performance cores running at a max frequency of 3.23 GHz, four Blizzard energy efficient cores running at 1.82 GHz, and a 5-core Apple proprietary GPU, paired with 6 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of NVMe native storage. The Samsung Galaxy S22 comes in two variants: one with the Samsung Exynos 2200 mobile platform running at a max frequency of 2.8 GHz, and another one with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 inside, running at a max frequency of 3 GHz. Huawei Mate 50 series-compatible 5G cases reportedly released in China

By

Sep 22, 2022

Users of the Huawei Mate 50 lineup of devices can now reportedly upgrade their network connectivity to 5G thanks to a new set of 5G cases. This follows a similar trajectory as the Huawei P50 series where users were able to access 5G connectivity through third-party cases. A tipster WHYLAB has hinted that Mate 50 owners can use compatible 5G cases to enhance their connectivity.Huawei Mate 50 series-compatible 5G cases

Huawei has grappled with the biting US embargoes on critical components for its products. This has limited the chip options available to the OEM and the Mate 50 series was launched with only 4G/LTE variants. The company has continued to circumvent the drawbacks due to the sanctions, with great gains achieved across different strata. Huawei’s homegrown HarmonyOS is one of the major high points in its resurgence in the tech industry.Huawei Mate 50 series-compatible 5G cases

The new third-party 5G cases are equipped with their chipsets to provide sub-6GHz connectivity to the devices. The four variants of the Mate 50 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4G SoC. The new 5G cases have the 5G-NR standalone-only rating, making use of an integrated UDX710 ZTE chip. The UDX710 has dual Cortex-A55 cores with a maximum speed of 1.35GHz. The chip draws power from the connected smartphone via its built-in USB-C port.

Images of the 5G cases seem to indicate that the cases have minimal added depth even with the internal components. The accessories are available for the full Mate 50 lineup and may be supported by China Telecom. The cases are reported to cost 799 yuan ($113) but there is no official confirmation yet by Huawei.

Sep 22, 2022

A cloned iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphone has surfaced on a Chinese e-commerce platform (via. TechGoing). The model named i14 Pro Max bears a strong semblance with the original device, at least externally. It is difficult to spot the difference between the i14 Pro Max and the original smartphone at first glance.iPhone 14 Pro Max clone

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the flagship offering of the latest Apple lineup and it comes with a $999 price tag in the US and up to $1,700 elsewhere. The pill-shaped notch cutout and the new dynamic island are distinguishing features of the Pro models.iPhone 14 Pro Max clone

The iPhone 14 Pro Max lookalike’s listed specs include a 6.51-inch display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and 4G cellular network connectivity. The specs of the model are eons away from the real Pro Max model from Apple hence its price tag of around $72 is not surprising.iPhone 14 Pro Max clone

Such lookalike models can be deceptive to the less-vigilant customer, so it is worthwhile to know about their existence. Although there are several details of the iPhone 14 Pro Max lookalike that are lacking, it looks like there is also a high-end variant powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.i14 Pro Max

As per the listing on the Chinese retail platform 1688, the flagship variant has 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The poster also shows it crams a huge 7800mAn battery under the hood and has support for a 120Hz refresh rate on its 6.8-inch display.

The iPhone 14 lineup consists of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. They come with excellent features that place them in the premium segment of the smartphone market.

Apple might start making 1 in every 4 iPhones in India by 2025: Report

By
Sean

Sep 22, 2022

Over the last couple of years, Apple has been slowly but steadily diversifying its supply chain and assembly for its products. Now, a new report has suggested that the company might soon shift a significant portion of its iPhone production to India.

Apple

The news arrives from a JP Morgan analyst, Gokul Hariharan, (Via Reuters) who stated that Taiwanese suppliers such as Foxconn and Pegatron will be central figures in the Cupertino based giant’s plans of moving its manufacturing process away from China. For those unaware, we have already covered multiple reports of Apple working on shifting away its production and assembly process for its products like iPhone, iPad, Macs, and others away from China and into new regions like Vietnam and iPhone.

As of right now, it already has begun production from these different nations, but it seems that India’s role in the manufacturing process might be expanded significantly in the next couple of years. The first iPhone was first assembled in India back in 2017, but due to the COVID-19, local lockdowns meant that the region only accounted for around 3 percent of all iPhone production. But now, it seems like this figure will be bumped a lot, with JP Morgan analysts claiming that soon 25 percent of all iPhones will be made in India by 2025.

iphone-14-pro

This basically means that one in four iPhones will be made in India. Furthermore, the brand is also apparently planning on moving about 5 percent of iPhone 14 production to India by the end of this year. On the other hand, China is expected to lose around 25 percent of total production of all Apple products, including Macs, iPad, Apple Watch, and AirPods as well.

Nvidia revises India prices for RTX 4090, RTX 4080 after major backlash

By
Sean
-
Sep 22, 2022

Nvidia had just recently announced the GeForce RTX 4000 series of graphics card, as its latest annual GPU release. These cards bring a number of improvements over the previous generation and had been highly anticipated across the globe. However, the pricing for these new GPUs in India has just been revised in India due to major online backlash. So here’s all the details.

Nvidia

Soon after its official announcement of the RTX 4000 series, Team Green unveiled the pricing for its two high end GPUs, namely the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. The top end RTX 4090 had a retail price tag of a whopping 177,000 INR (roughly 2,190 US Dollars), while the RTX 4080 costs 133,000 INR for the 16GB VRAM model (roughly 1,643 US Dollars) and 99,500 INR (roughly 1,230 US Dollars) for the 12GB VRAM variant. However, this price reveal lead to the company facing major backlash in India.

The exorbitant price tag lead to the brand facing criticism on various social media platforms. The primary reason for the backlash was due to the significantly higher difference in pricing of the new graphics card in India, when compared to their rates in the US market. This was even more surprising when taking the various taxes and import duty into account. For comparison, the RTX 4090 costs just 1,599 US Dollars in America, while the RTX 4080 is available for 1,199 US Dollars and 899 US Dollars.

NVIDIA

This basically meant that there was almost a 600 US Dollar hike in pricing between the two regions, which is worth an entire new graphics card on its own. But it seems like the backlash actually worked since Nvidia has officially revised the pricing for the RTX 40 series down to 155,000 INR (roughly 1,915 US Dollars) for the RTX 4090, while the 16GB RTX 4080 costs 116,000 INR (roughly 1,433 US Dollars) and 12GB variant costs 87,000 INR now (roughly 1,075 US Dollars).
